Do you want to avoid holding down a button while crafting and building in Palworld? With two settings, you can give your fingers a break. Players celebrate this option and are frustrated that they didn’t discover it earlier.
What is the problem? When playing Palworld, you will encounter it sooner rather than later: If you want to build or craft something, you have to hold down the action button for a fixed, displayed time by default. Many players struggle with this, as this time can easily last several minutes.
Since building and crafting are core mechanics in Palworld, and you often grab the hammer especially at the beginning, it can quickly become tiring. Fortunately, there are two settings that can significantly improve your experience. However, the game only discreetly informs you about this in a random tip on the loading screen.
You need to know that they exist and that you can find them in the options, or be lucky enough for this tip to appear for you. Many players are annoyed that they have played hundreds of hours without knowing this option.
Two small changes – big impact
What options are those? If you go to the settings and navigate to the “Game Settings” tab and scroll all the way down for either the keyboard or the controller, you will find two settings. If you set them to “ON”, you can start the building or crafting process by just pressing the button once briefly. The action will then run automatically until you press the button again, allowing your fingers to take a break.
What does the community think about this? On Reddit, numerous users are frustrated that they found these options much too late after hundreds of hours of gameplay.
letmebe03 starts their thread with the title “Today I learned that I am stupid” and is deeply frustrated that they even bought a weight for the keyboard to rest on the action button. Only to discover the tip on the loading screen after many hours.
In the comments, many players share similar experiences and make it clear to the user that it has nothing to do with stupidity and that they felt the same way. Aliza-rin also points out: “Honestly, this setting should be enabled by default. So many people overlook it. You often see posts where someone posts a picture of a coin wedged between the keys or something similar to keep them pressed down. And why wouldn’t you want to enable this feature?”
Many agree with this, and others were completely unaware of the option until this post. To ensure that this doesn’t happen to you, we will show you on page 2 exactly what you need to do.
Did you already know about this option, or do you miss another function? Perhaps there is a setting or tip here that could help you as well. Feel free to let us know in the comments!
Another option that many players regret not finding earlier is even referred to by many as “the best feature in the game” and can be easily implemented to ease tedious processes for you: Palworld: Players discover perhaps the most important feature far too late – “Truly the best feature ever”
