In Palworld, a player impressively demonstrates on Reddit how much freedom of movement can be achieved without an OP mount and super armor. All that is needed are three things: a specific Pal and two jump items.
What does the clip show? In the subreddit of Palworld, a player posted a short video titled Valentail with other jump modifiers
, showing how far one can move through the world solely with jumps, items, and the right Pal combination. The clip has received great feedback in the community, with over 3,600 upvotes and more than 150 comments to back it up.
The focus is on the Pal Valentail. Its partner skill Big Stretch
reduces gravity while it is in the team, allowing you to be noticeably more floaty while jumping and falling. Combined with other jump items, this can create a movement routine that can easily compete with a flying mount.

Why do players forgo their mount? In the comments on Reddit, several players explain why they prefer to jump rather than fly. One user reports that they completed their entire first playthrough using only this method.
Another user now uses it for their fixed exploration team because it is significantly faster than early flying Pals. Another practical use case is bases with a lot of verticality. There, it can be annoying to pull out a bulky flying mount.
Can’t this also be done with wings? Yes, in Palworld, there is the so-called Wing Pack, which you unlock at level 80, and suitable armor sets that indeed allow you to fly. However, the trick shown here works deliberately without wings or special armor; it solely revolves around jump items and Pal partner skills. Exactly that makes the method interesting for players who have yet to unlock this equipment.
How can this be best combined? Several experienced players describe a similar technique in the comments. You jump normally, use the grappling hook on the ground to catapult yourself forward, and then use your remaining jump to gain extra height or sharply change direction without losing your momentum.
Those with a Pal that has gliding ability in the team can reportedly traverse half the map this way, without landing a single time.
