Sometimes you play Palworld and get stuck on a boss that keeps wiping you out. Then it might be that you have overlooked one of the most important buffs.
How can you overlook buffs? In fact, it is quite easy to overlook these specific buffs. In a post on Reddit, ChrsRobes writes about following many discussions regarding unbeatable bosses.
He noticed that people always talk about Alpha Pals, correct team composition, and suitable elements for the battle. But what he says never comes up are the bounty trophies that you get for defeating the individual bosses in the game.
These bounty trophies do indeed come in several different tiers, each providing something that makes every battle a bit easier: buffs.
Defeating bosses is worth it – But start with the right ones
How exactly do the buffs work? The buffs from the bounty trophies are divided into five tiers. You can recognize the respective tier by the color of the coin depicted. Especially the three higher rarity grades reportedly deal significantly more damage:
- White/Silver: Common
- Green: Uncommon
- Blue: Rare
- 1% buff
- Purple: Epic
- 2% buff
- Yellow: Legendary
The respective Pal that you must defeat for the coin determines which type of damage is enhanced. So, for example, if you receive the purple token for defeating Voracious Thunder Dragon
Relaxaurus Lux (via Palbd), you get dragon damage enhanced by 2%.
ChrsRobes’ tip via Reddit is that if you’re struggling against a boss and all the guides online say the fight should be very easy, you might be missing some buffs. Specifically, the poster says you should defeat all other bosses before tackling Panthalus, for example. Then you will have all the coins in your inventory and therefore all buffs active.
