In Palworld, certain buildings are essential if you want to upgrade your warehouse. However, one, in particular, has drawn significant ire from the community. Fortunately, there are ways to use the ugly thing more sensibly.
Which building are we talking about? Sooner or later, you will need it: the Expedition Center. While one could certainly live without the ability to send Pals to different areas to gather resources, you must build at least one if you want to further upgrade your warehouse at a certain point.
The problem: It is extremely large, taking up a lot of space and is difficult to integrate nicely into bases due to its bulky design. Over 4,700 upvotes and more than 850 comments express this frustration on Reddit.
However, there are a couple of tricks you can use to make the ugly thing more useful rather than just wasting space.
Better utilize the bulky Expedition Center – here’s how
How can you use the center more sensibly? Of course, you could simply change your server settings so that constructions outside the boundaries of your warehouse no longer decay, and thus place the center elsewhere.
But if you want to play with the normal settings, there are a few other ways that many players overlook:
- You can build on the platform in front of the mine entrance
- This is especially suitable for crates or constructions with which you generally don’t interact much
- This way, you can still use the space more optimally and it is only partially wasted
- This doesn’t make the building any smaller or prettier, but it makes it more meaningful
- You can simply move the thing to a higher floor
- There, it won’t be immediately noticeable and won’t disturb the overall look of your base
However, many players would simply wish that the building were smaller or completely reworked. They find the size simply exaggerated and believe that a simple portal would suffice. Alternatively, they propose ancient technology that offers just that and could replace the ugly thing.
