A few days ago, Grapeshot Games, a sister studio of Studio Wildcard, announced the new MMO Atlas. In this pirate MMO, gigantic worlds are interconnected, and it could be serious competition for Sea of Thieves.

What’s it about: On Twitter, Thorne has answered the question as to why bosses are often just XXL versions of normal mobs in a series of tweets. He is often asked this.
No wonder, as Destiny is teeming with giant Servitors, giant Fallen, giant Cabals, and other XXL versions of well-known enemies.
Thorne tells a story from a fictional meeting. The meeting is not necessarily aimed at Destiny, but is the result of his 12 years in gaming across various studios.
Let’s build a flying giant cyborg
This is how the fictional boss meeting goes: Imagine you are a designer and in an early meeting about what the next boss will be like. The boss says: “We have 6 months until launch. That means we have much less time.”
You cheerfully suggest that the boss will be a completely new giant squirrel-cyborg-eagle that flies around and breathes fire on the raid.
Immediately, all the animators, technicians, artists, and sound effect folks in the room look at each other and make a face.
“What’s wrong?” you ask.
If you are not an artist, you won’t understand why they made that face.
The character artist responsible for creating the boss will explain to you that your idea requires a new rig, meaning the skeleton that the boss moves with. Just the rig will take two months.
Then the tech designer will say, “We don’t have flying technology in the engine. It will take months of engineering time. And we don’t know what area we want to design for flying. Will he fly freely or will he fly in curves?”
Then the boss intervenes: “Okay, so no flying boss.”
That’s why bosses are just modified standard enemies in raids
What is really possible? Thorne then continues that ultimately the meeting agrees to take the elephant enemy that they already have, inflate it to triple its size, and then add spikes to make it look cool.
Additionally, they could add some bones to the rig, maybe create a handful of new attack animations and adjust the movement patterns.
The planned jumping attack will be scrapped because the boss might get stuck somewhere.
In short: Creating completely new character models is incredibly labor-intensive because they require a variety of features and the time and resources of designers are always tight, as their work is needed in various places.
You can do a lot more things when you use existing assets and adapt them, says Thorne.
InFortnite: Battle Royale offers the creative mode countless possibilities for your own creations. Classic maps from Call of Duty are highly popular. With a bit of luck, they might soon appear in the regular game.

Wouldn’t it be great if the story of World of Warcraft was told in a television series? Many players have already wondered that.
But some also let their creativity run wild and create their own trailer for their idea. An example of this is the YouTuber Str1der, whose trailer adaptation you can see above. It is a compilation of various cutscenes, set to “typical” trailer music.

What does this mean? It seems that a bug has listed two upcoming game modes. As several players are now reporting this bug and also seeing the two game modes, fans of Red Dead Redemption 2 assume that new game modes will soon be integrated into Red Dead Online.
What could these game modes be? Currently, it is unclear what objectives you will pursue in the two Gun Rush modes.

In Fortnite, the new planes are on the move. They add a touch of Battlefield to some matches in Fortnite. Top streamer Ninja shows how to counter and hijack the planes in a spectacular clip.

Even there, Ninja dispatches the pilot in an instant.

Pokémon GO announced on Twitter that at launch only players at Level 40 can participate in Trainer Battles. Afterward, more players will be added who can take part in the new PvP battles.

Haven’t you ever wondered why Tragosso wears this skull mask? The story behind this mask is very sad.
Whose skull bone is it? Tragosso wears the skull of its deceased mother, Knogga. When Team Rocket came to Lavandia to catch Pokémon, they also wanted to catch Tragosso and Knogga. Knogga protected her child and was killed in the battle with Team Rocket.
Once only bones were left of Knogga, Tragosso returned to its mother and put on the skull bone. Since then, no one has ever seen a Tragosso without the mask.

How does local multiplayer play? For those who don’t want to play alone, they invite friends and engage in epic rounds in local multiplayer. The action of the game is even greater compared to its predecessors, and the fights are even more energetic. This mode is also often praised. However, as soon as one wants to play online, the situation looks quite different.
Where is the problem with the game?
This problem comes with the game: All the criticism has not included one game mode: the online mode. Players are posting outright hateful tirades on various forums about this mode. The online mode costs money. Players feel cheated for having to endure long waiting times and faulty lobbies in a paid online mode.
This is why the online mode is so important: Super Smash Bros. has relied on multiplayer since day 1. Hardly anyone likes to play against NPCs, much more fun is had when fighting real opponents. However, when one is alone, the online mode provides relief. There you can continue to fight against other players without being physically present with them. This should also be standard today.
Nintendo has always had problems: Many players see all of this with humor. “A company with a history of poor online modes is now charging for online service and still remains bad? I am shocked,” wrote “cacklerz” on Reddit. The online mode has historically been bad in most Nintendo games and has been criticized. Now there is no improvement.
