With Patch 8.3, some content from WoW will become more rewarding. This includes the War Mode, but Timewalking will also become more lucrative.
The next update for World of Warcraft, Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth, has been playable on the PTR for several months now. However, it will still take a few weeks before we see it on the live servers, which will not happen until 2020. Therefore, there are still some small changes being made to the content. Some of these even affect old content and make it more rewarding. We have the latest changes for you.
Timewalking with big loot: The Timewalking events take place every few weeks in World of Warcraft. During this time, you can revisit the dungeons of a specific expansion. Players are downscaled, and loot is improved, making these visits still somewhat worthwhile. Accompanied at level 120 is an additional quest that requires you to complete 5 Timewalking dungeons. As a reward, you receive an item at normal-mythic raid level.
In Timewalking, you can relive old dungeons – such as those from Burning Crusade.
In Patch 8.3, this quest will be improved. It will grant items at heroic raid level. This should ensure that players with better gear will also try Timewalking again.
War Mode worthwhile for new quests: For the new invasions with Patch 8.3 in the Valley of Eternal Blossoms and Uldum, War Mode is once again very worthwhile. Players can take on daily missions that are rewarded with new currencies. Similar to the world quests in current areas, there is a bonus on the quest reward of a constant 10%.
Previously, this bonus was only available for world quests and not for “dailies.” This has apparently now been expanded, so War Mode will be the most effective way to farm the new rewards at the beginning of Patch 8.3.
However: Anyone who disables War Mode during the quests will not receive the additional reward. The missions must be completed entirely in War Mode.
When will Patch 8.3 be released? A specific release date for the patch has not been given yet. It was only stated that the update will come “early in 2020” – likely by mid-January.
Please keep in mind that the changes are currently on the PTR and may change before the release.
What’s currently happening with the PS4? There have been several updates and innovations for the PS4 in recent weeks, even though the new PS5 is coming next year.
This particularly pleases shooter players who have not yet bought an expensive pro controller. They can use the buttons without moving their finger away from the right stick.
Until the beginning of January 2020, you can try Titanfall 2 on the PS4 via PS Plus. It’s worth taking a look at the game:
In Destiny 2, the winter event is in full swing. A new weapon is also included. Read here what Cold Front has to offer and whether the grind is worth it.
This weapon is about: The legendary submachine gun Cold Front is carried in the primary slot. Kinetic ammunition is required to fire the weapon with the “Aggressive Frame” type.
Due to this classification, the SMG has a fire rate of 750, with high damage and recoil. However, this is offset by its excellent recoil direction of 92/100. For an SMG, it has a decent range (46) but poor stability (16).
How to get Cold Front: To get the weapon from the winter event into your cold hands, you need to bake. Go to Eva and receive the holiday oven. Conveniently, you will receive all the ingredients for a delicious gift for Zavala. If you give the Vanguard commander the pastry, you will automatically receive Cold Front as a reward.
You can also obtain further versions with random rolls of the event weapon. Each time you hand a delicacy to an NPC, you will receive a gift in exchange. This can contain various resources, as well as samples of Cold Front.
Alongside the current submachine gun, you also have the chance to secure another weapon. The heavy machine gun Avalanche may randomly be among the rewards. Avalanche was the event weapon from 2018.
This roll is recommended for PvP: Cold Front deals 22 damage on headshots and 15 damage on body shots in PvP. This equates to a TTK (Time to Kill) of 0.67 seconds. However, you need to land 9 critical hits for this.
To stand a chance in guardian vs. guardian combat, we rely on these perks:
Barrel – Smallbore does a good job here. This gives you a bonus to range and stability.
Magazine – Tactical Mag gives us bonuses to stability, magazine, and reload speed.
Trait 1 – Zen Moment. To further support stability.
Trait 2 – Fitted Stock for more zoom and range or Dynamic Sway Reduction for more accuracy should be preferred.
Masterwork – Stability is prioritized here.
With this combination, you may not have the potentially deadliest roll, but you do have the most reliable one. The very low stability will otherwise quickly hinder you in the crucible.
This is what Cold Front looks like with an ornament
This roll is recommended for PvE: SMGs are close-range weapons and can deal a lot of damage quickly. However, the magazine runs out just as quickly. To emphasize the weapon’s strengths and cover some weaknesses, look out for these perks:
Barrel – Smallbore gives us what we need again: stability and range.
Magazine – Fluted Barrel for additional range. The reason we don’t focus on reload speed or magazine size here can be seen in the traits.
Trait 1 – Rampage should serve you well in PvE.
Trait 2 – Kill Clip is our choice here.
Masterwork – Range or stability, either will work well.
With this roll, you can play very aggressively. Getting a kill among the enemy hordes shouldn’t be hard. As you constantly take down adds, you will reload super quickly with Rampage and keep the damage bonus from Kill Clip active at all times.
Our conclusion on Cold Front: The event weapon is not necessarily a must-have. Especially in the crucible, it doesn’t perform particularly well right now. The very rare 750 archetype combined with the extremely low stability is a hurdle for the SMG.
In PvE, Cold Front can score points more easily. Here, some interesting rolls are possible, and if you are looking for a solid close-range weapon, you can’t go wrong.
A prolonged grind is not feasible, at least for us. The competition is simply too great in both the kinetic slotas well as among the submachine guns. If a good roll pops up as a nice bonus while baking, we certainly won’t say no.

The nerfs for the Shaman in Hearthstone have been announced and go live today. We reveal what is changing – and why players are angry.
Since the release of Legacy of the Dragons, two classes have predominantly risen to the top in Hearthstone. Hardly any deck has ever been as strong as the current Shaman. It has almost no counter options and causes many players to simply give up before the first turn because the outcome is often the same. The Rogue is also currently strong and, together with the Shaman, is hard to beat. Blizzard quickly announced nerfs.
Now the nerfs are coming and are supposed to improve many things – but the community sees it differently.
What will be changed? A total of 4 cards will be adjusted and slightly or noticeably weakened. These include:
Corrupted Elementalist now costs 6 mana (previously 5 mana).
Mudslurper now has only 1 attack (previously 2 attack).
Faceless Corruptor now has only 4 attack (previously 5 attack).
Mogu Fleshshaper now costs 9 mana (previously 7 mana).
Two cards …
… that will be nerfed!
The changes will likely go live this evening (December 19, 2019), unless Blizzard discards the plans again. The modified cards can then be disenchanted for the full dust price.
Community is quite dissatisfied: However, those who thought that players would be satisfied with the nerfs are gravely mistaken. On social media, players are accusing Blizzard, by the hundreds, of incompetence. Many believe that the nerfs will hardly make a difference because they are too minor or target the wrong areas. Moreover, many players are outraged that Blizzard is only changing the Shaman and a few neutrals, while completely ignoring the very strong Rogue.
In particular, the new Necrium Apothecary is a thorn in the side of many players. For 4 mana, it has solid stats of 2/5 and also has the combo effect of pulling a minion with deathrattle from the deck and gaining its deathrattle. This is typically combined with powerful cards, like the Mechanical Whelp, which summons a 7/7 minion upon death.
One of the most powerful cards in the game.
This has led to many cynical and angry comments:
Makmak writes:
They should have changed over 20 cards and not just 4.
Or KirbyMorph, who takes it a bit more sarcastically:
Don’t nerf epic cards, we don’t want to give the peasants too much dust just because we can’t balance or test our game properly. Instead, let’s nerf a 2/1 minion with overload, and then it’s fine. The minion with 10/12 stats for 5 mana is okay. The Rogue with a 10/10 minion for 1 mana on turn 5 is also okay.
The mood in the community therefore has hardly improved. It remains to be seen whether the nerfs will have the desired effect or are too soft.
What do you think of the nerfs? Are they sufficient and sensible? Or has Blizzard done too little here and should reconsider?
What is the Pirate MMO Atlas? For some time now, both reviews and player numbers have been increasing. Is it worth checking out the game again?
What is Atlas? It is a survival MMO that resembles ARK: Survival Evolved. In an island world, you sail with your ship, fight monsters, gather resources, and try to survive. You build a base with friends and must defend it in PvP battles against other players.
Ship battles also play an important role. It is necessary to upgrade and expand your ship to have a chance against other players.
Atlas is experiencing a resurgence
What is the current status of the game? Atlas launched very strongly in December 2018. However, afterwards, there was a steady decline in player numbers, and the reviews did not fare well either. Especially the performance and bugs were criticized along with some gameplay elements. Among other things, it was noted that players’ bases could be attacked while they were offline.
However, since October, the game has been experiencing a resurgence. Player numbers are increasing significantly and steadily. This can be seen well on Steamcharts. Currently, the average number of players over the past 30 days is 4,556 players. The peak was 9,069 players. In September, the number was only 1,446 concurrent players on average, with a peak of 2,942.
The reviews on Steam are also rising significantly again, currently at 78 percent mostly positive over the past 30 days. In August, this rating was only 51 percent.

What caused this resurgence?Atlas has had a new lead designer, Erik Waananen, since this summer, who announced plans to address issues that players have been complaining about for some time. The team previously placed too much emphasis on constantly bringing new content, but very little was done about the actual problems.
And Erik Waananen seems to have tightened things up in exactly the right places. Atlas receives updates that do not introduce as much new content as before but instead focus more on bugs and performance issues (even though there is still much to be done regarding performance). In addition, more emphasis is placed on PvP than on PvE.
Especially in terms of balancing and quality of life features, a lot has changed:
The intelligence stat is no longer decisive in the endgame, which was previously a problem.
Strong ships can no longer be upgraded through so many points in damage and defense to become nearly unbeatable.
Harpoons have been nerfed as they were too powerful in PvP.
Many adjustments have been made to boss fights, making them fairer.
The controls have been adjusted.
There are many bug fixes.
The crossplay feature between the PC and Xbox One version has also contributed to more players checking out Atlas.
Is it worth playing?
What do players currently think of Atlas? As already mentioned, the opinion of the game has improved significantly.
nikkyboy writes on Steam: “I waited to play because I wanted it to be good. Now I’m glad I waited. It’s still not perfect but at least not bad. It has its quirks but is fun.”
SparkiTV_Twitch says: “Yes, Atlas is based on Ark and that’s a good thing! Why do I recommend it? Clearly because it’s an interesting adventure. Of course, it’s Early Access and there is still much to do! It was no different with Ark…”
JaMBaM8 believes: “It’s fun and has improved a lot since release.”
Is it worth playing Atlas again? The Atlas of today is a significantly better game than it was six months ago. Of course, it is still an Early Access version and there are still issues here and there – especially regarding performance.
Nevertheless, it is definitely worth taking another look and giving Atlas a second chance with all the changes it has undergone.
In the Korean version of Black Desert Online, the new class Guardian has been released. However, the initial reactions have been rather negative. In addition, a release date for the West has been announced.
Update December 19: The Guardian, now known as Gardia, will be released in the West on January 22, 2020. This was announced in the official forum. From December 24, you can create a Guardian in advance and secure the appropriate name.
What kind of class is this? The Guardian (English Guardian) is the latest class in Black Desert Online and has a Nordic flair. She wears fur and high-heeled shoes and was introduced with an image on November 22.
This image was accompanied by a small lore text. This reveals that the Guardian is in conflict with a false god. Her goal is now to find a flame to kill the false god with.
Like all classes in Black Desert, her focus is on damage. There is no classic Holy Trinity. To this end, she uses an axe, with which she can strike hard, and a shield.

When will the Guardian be released? The Guardian could be released for us on January 22, 2020. At least the releases of the class for Japan and in Brazil are planned for this date. Thus, the original assumptions would be kept, according to which the class should come this winter.
The Guardian has already been released today, December 17, in Korea. First players showcased the class on Twitch. So far, it has not been convincing.
What is being criticized? In the first livestreams, the Guardian appears very slow and clumsy. She swings her axe quite wide and strikes very slowly. This does not fit the dynamic combat system of Black Desert.
Although the damage seems quite passable, many players are disappointed with the implementation:
Moai_Plus: “I can’t imagine switching from any class to this one. Even the Striker feels fast compared to the Guardian.”
savedawhale: “The class is so slow that some streamers have added ‘5 Attackspeed Guardian’ to their title so players stop asking about it. It’s really brutal from what we have seen so far. Even worse than with the Lahn before they received a speed buff.”
Castlevania: “If she really becomes a tank class, I can imagine that. If not, at least she’s pretty to look at.”
In this Twitch clip of a Korean player, you can get an impression for yourself:

Is a quick overhaul coming? Many players suspect that the class could be reworked before its release in the West. The reddit user DmikeBNS writes:
“Although it somehow fits the aesthetic of the Guardian, I doubt she will remain like this. She will most likely receive buffs to improve her playstyle. They have done that for every single new class after release. Besides the fact that she swings a 600-pound hand axe, her abilities look amazing.”
What about an LoL MMORPG? In an interview, Marc Merrill talks about the challenges and his attitude towards it.
Who is speaking? Marc Merrill, one of the founders of the studio Riot Games, spoke about the idea of developing an MMORPG. The studio is behind the hugely successful MOBA League of Legends. The many characters and their stories in LoL would provide a strong basis for a role-playing MMO, according to fans. And Merrill loves the thought as well.
The founders of Riot Games: Marc Merrill and Brandon Beck
What he said: In an interview with Travis Gafford, who has been deeply involved in the League of Legends scene since its inception, Merrill explained that such an MMORPG would not be developed “in-house.”
To meet such a desire, you would need the best teams in the world. And that would probably not work with a third-party developer.
This idea that LoL is already working on an MMORPG was ignited among fans when Riot Games introduced Project F. They thought this could finally be the MMORPG for LoL.
Then Merrill is asked whether they had considered planning such a game genre. “I mean, you tweeted that and started a huge thing […]” says Gafford, referring to this tweet that triggered a massive hype.
Merrill explains that this tweet did have its purpose.
We believe it’s good when players say ‘Riot, please make an X’ because, why not? I would love to develop an MMO. But to clarify the expectations:
If we were to do something like that, it wouldn’t be “soon.” These things are incredibly hard to develop, and anyone who has built an MMO deserves a medal. […] It’s so much work and so hard, and we would really try to do justice to [a League of Legends MMORPG]. And that’s not easy.

At around 38 minutes and 54 seconds, the MMO topic begins
What is the background? The hope for an MMORPG in the League of Legends universe has likely existed among the community for quite some time. However, the tweet from Marc Merrill in July 2018 triggered a massive wave of hype. He asked, “Should we make an MMO? Yay or Nay?”
Shortly after, the PR chief backtracked and explained that the LoL founder was just excited about the new interactive map and that the tweet was not meant seriously. Players, however, were not satisfied with this information and bombarded Merrill with questions about the MMO on Twitter. He didn’t really say yes or no, but rather, “it’s not the best decision to compete with WoW.”
That Riot Games hired MMORPG experts in 2014 and 2016 and secured the name “Legends of Runeterra” also indicated the MMORPG plan. However, at least regarding Legends of Runeterra, we now know that it is a card game from Riot Games.
Yet, the idea of an MMORPG from Riot Games does not seem to be off the table. One just shouldn’t expect it “soon.” After all, many new projects from the LoL developers are also on the horizon:
Occasionally, Riolu runs very quickly and reminds you of the classic Naruto run. Afterwards, it can also walk slower and stay next to you.
What is your buddy Pokémon? If you want more information about the feature, check here:
The new buddy system in Pokémon GO is here and your buddy follows you on the map. It can look quite funny. We show you the best animations.
These are the animations: If you are “good buddies” with your Buddy, it follows you on the map. This works by feeding with berries or the new item, Knurps. You can see animations from the Pokémon that you have not seen before.
On reddit and Twitter, players have already compiled funny animations. We show you a selection of the best ones so you can show off to your friends.
The funniest buddy animations
Slaking: Normally, Slaking just lies around. Even when you battle it in the arena, it only weakly retaliates.
As your buddy, this ape Pokémon is surprisingly mobile. When you run, Slaking runs on all fours behind you. When you stop, it seems happy because it can lie down again.
Kastadur: The Pokémon from Gen 5 rolls along beside you. As a player shows on reddit, it likes to run away and rolls quickly across the map.
For the global launch, Black Desert Mobile struggled with poor reviews in the stores as well as increased Pay2Win accusations. What was going on? And should one still take a look at the game? MeinMMO author Robert has a clear opinion.
What is Black Desert Mobile or BDM? The new mobile MMO has been available on the global market for a few days now. Previously, the game was only available in Asia. Black Desert Mobile is heavily based on Black Desert Online, which is available for PC as well as PS4 and Xbox One.
As is typical for the genre, you need to complete missions, collect equipment, face increasingly powerful bosses, and compete against other players in combat.
Poor reviews at launch – what was going on? The graphics and scope are outstanding for a mobile game – still, it received some poor reviews at the global launch. This had various reasons:
In the Asian version of the game, significantly more items could be purchased with in-game currency, while in the global version you need to spend real money for that.
Bugs and problems additionally complicate the launch.
Especially the differences to the Korean version were harshly criticized in a widely noticed Reddit post. In the global version, companions can only be obtained with premium currency, not with in-game currency (with one exception). The developers were accused of greed.
Black Desert Mobile looks fantastic
I share this criticism, but not the consequence of a resulting devaluation of the game. I have never played the Korean version, so I can only evaluate the global variant of the game. And it’s a lot of fun – even without spending money.
How much Pay2Win is in Black Desert Mobile?
This is my current state in the game: I have been playing for about 15 hours, have reached character level 46, and have an attack power of about 2000. At the beginning of the game, I invested some euros to acquire an additional companion. Companions automatically pick up loot, but do not make you stronger.
Since then, I can complete main missions, participate in raids, challenge bosses, and accumulate knowledge about the game world. The really fantastic graphics (assuming a powerful device) and the large game world invite exploration.
However, I still have not reached a “wall” where I would only progress with real money or excessive grinding, which I consider a very good value for a mobile game after 15 hours of play. On the contrary. There’s still a lot I haven’t seen, I haven’t completed the story, nor played all activities.
However, that does not mean that Black Desert Mobile is not Pay2Win. Of course not.
With real money, progress in the game can be significantly accelerated. You can buy in-game currency (silver) directly or convert purchased pearls into black pearls to buy items on the market that make your character stronger.
However, to get the best equipment, you have to dig into your pockets. Only the so-called “whales” (players who spend a lot of money to lead the leaderboards) are likely to invest that much money.
You can find strong equipment in this shop
This Pay2Win mechanic is a problem for you if you
want to lead the leaderboards at all costs,
want to be at the forefront in the PvP arena or
want to fight bosses at the highest difficulty levels.
As in every mobile game, players who invest large amounts of money dominate. They buy a time advantage. So if you want to achieve success as quickly as possible without relying on luck, you invest money.
If you are not in a hurry but think long-term and do not care about leaderboards, you can have fun in every mobile game.
If you don’t want to spend money, you can still have a lot of fun in BDM: The great graphics, the large game world, and the many little things to discover already make Black Desert Mobile a great mobile game for me.
Furthermore, with the many convenience options, Black Desert Mobile can be played casually, without having to spend hours daily on micromanagement.
Conclusion: Pay2Win: Yes! Is it possible without money? Yes!
Black Desert Mobile offers Pay2Win mechanics, which should not surprise anyone who has frequently dealt with such games. However, you can also have a lot of fun if you invest some time.
You can spend a loooooooot of time in the camp as well
Black Desert Mobile is, in contrast to many other genre representatives, still diverse even after long play times. Due to the many collections, there is also a lot to do in the long run.
The significant differences to the Asian version of the game may be annoying, but I did not find these restrictions to be drastic.
How have the reviews for Black Desert Mobile evolved? By now, BDM has a significantly better rating than at launch. Players appreciate the scope as well as the graphics of the game. Additionally, some differences to the Korean version have been eliminated. Currently, BDM is among the best-rated mobile MMOs overall.
Have you tried Black Desert Mobile? How do you like it?

The DLC offers new loot, more challenges, and familiar foes like the Loader Bots. Handsome Jack also makes for some good entertainment in the form of holograms. The sparkling casino setting is distinct from everything you’ve seen in Borderlands 3 so far – a direction that the upcoming DLCs are also expected to follow.
All info on the DLC release – Time, Cost
When is the release time? According to Gearbox, you can start the DLC tonight, December 19th, at 6 PM.
The support for the DLC has already been included in last week’s patch, which you can also recognize by a poster on the Sanctuary.
You will encounter Loader Bots again
How much does the DLC cost? Currently, you can only find the DLC in the shop as part of the Season Pass. The Season Pass costs €49.99 and includes all expansions that will come to Borderlands 3 next year. All DLCs are expected to be released by September 2020.
New skins are also available
Buying the DLC separately: Gearbox confirmed via Twitter that the DLC can also be purchased separately for the price of $14.99. This means the DLC is likely to cost between €12 and €15 here. Currently, the standalone DLC is not yet in the shop. However, it is expected to be available once it goes live tonight. We’ll keep you updated here.
If you haven’t decided yet whether the DLC is for you, here are some images from the first minutes of the DLC:
The story of the Shadowkeep expansion revolved around the mysterious Pyramid ship on the Moon. Until Season 9, it was the great danger in Destiny 2. But currently, it has become quiet regarding the Darkness and these mysterious ships. What’s next? Bungie has something to say about it.
What’s the deal with the Pyramid ships? At the end of the story from the base game, it was already hinted – at some point, we would likely have to deal with the mysterious Pyramid ships. They embody, in principle, the Darkness, thus the greatest threat to humanity and the Traveler.

In Shadowkeep, it finally happened, the great danger was finally there. Although the ships did not come “to visit” directly, one of them was found beneath the Moon’s surface. Many players celebrated and hoped that a great mystery of the Destiny universe could now be unraveled.
This is the current status of the Pyramid ships: Since the end of the Shadowkeep story, many are upset but also curious about how it will move forward with the triangular ship and the mysterious figure within.
However, since then there have been no new clues or hints – not even in Season 9. So far, the story revolving around the ships and the Darkness has neither been continued nor addressed in any other way.
Will that possibly change? Is there more to come? Some have not given up hope yet. And what does Bungie say?
What’s next for the Pyramid ships? Here’s what Bungie says: This question was also posed to Bungie by the website Polygon in an interview.
There, Narrative Designer Jonathan and “Season of Dawn” Design Lead Tom Farnsworth revealed a bit more about the future of the Pyramid ships. They are not forgotten and will remain a threat.
“The pyramids will be a permanent concern for our players,” Tom said. “We can’t talk about the exact extent of this concern in the upcoming seasons, but we are definitely concerned about them,” he continued.
It looks like there’s a good chance that the story will be picked up again. How and in what form – Bungie hasn’t revealed that yet.
But what are the chances that we will learn more about these ships in the current season? Bungie did not provide a concrete answer to that either, but gave at least a hint in response to further questions:
“It’s a brighter, more hopeful season (Season of Dawn),” Farnsworth said. “If you look at Shadowkeep, it’s a dark and terrible psychological horror. In many ways, the season of dawn, as the name suggests, is a reaction to what’s happening. When players set things in motion for the season (of Dawn), it’s a story about death and resurrection. About brothers, tragedy, and redemption.”
So it doesn’t look like the grim story arc about the Darkness and the Pyramid ships will be addressed in the shining Season 9 – but if it does, it will be at the earliest in Season 10.
What did you think of the story surrounding the Pyramid ship from Shadowkeep? Would you have wanted a continuation of this story line for Season 9? Or do you find it more diverse that it first continues with another theme?
The Cryptic Studios have caused confusion in the community with a new detail about their action MMORPG Magic: Legends.
What have the developers announced? On Twitter, it is mentioned that you can experience adventures in Magic: Legends either alone or with up to two friends as Planeswalkers.
Can you play solo then? The developers’ statement suggests that we can go out alone. However, whether this means that Magic: Legends also works as a single-player RPG is unclear.
https://youtu.be/894th0bb1-w
An MMORPG for three players?
Why is the statement confusing? The Cryptic Studios describe their new game as an MMO-ARPG, essentially an action MMORPG. An MMO and only three players who can experience adventures together? This seems to confuse the community a bit.
Cubic comments on Twitter: “So groups for three people and you call it MMO????”
Ben writes: “So it’s not an MMO then?”
(OP*7) Tennek127 tries to find an explanation: “It can still be an MMO, even if there are only three people in a group. Not just three people will explore the world.”
What could this announcement mean? The wording allows for a lot of room for interpretation. On one hand, it is an MMO, on the other hand, there are only three players in a group. One does not have to exclude the other.
We would like to present a few possibilities of how that could work:
It is conceivable that Magic: Legends is very instanced. You then meet in a hub with other players, form groups of up to three people, and then experience the mission in an instance.
Although the game could be set in an open world, the group size might be limited to three people.
A gameplay style like in Diablo 3 is also conceivable. You can invite up to two friends from your friend list or via matchmaking to your game or join a game of your buddies and then experience the adventures together.
Fight an evil force in the Planes
What else is new about the game? The developers explain that in the Magic: Legends teased three years ago, you will deal with a dark force. Your task is to travel through various planes and gather power to confront this evil.
There are said to be five classes and you can switch between them as needed.
In the real-time battles, you need to carefully plan your spells, as they will be drawn randomly during the fights.
Your spells can be improved over time through fragments.
What do you think, how will Magic: Legends unfold? Will you get 3-player groups or will the game be very instanced? Share your opinion in the comments.

What’s the deal with the gift? In addition to the playable content, every player gets a small gift from Modern Warfare. You can find the present in the CoD shop, in the category “Individual”.
Here, it seems there is a calling card with a dangerous unicorn (Shimmering Sprint) and a tier skip for the Battle Pass for every player.
The Gunfight map “Docks” gets a new coat of paint for the holidays.
Was ist das alles? Modern Warfare is offering players double XP for weapons starting December 20. This way, you can unlock a decent amount of attachments before relatives drag you away from the screen with threats. Meanwhile, you can also improve your aim.

Update brings new Operator bundles – unlock Nikto
With the update, the new operator Nikto became available for purchase. However, he is not a Christmas bargain, you will have to put down 2,400 CoD points for the new skin.
The Spec-Ops operator Zane received a personal bundle with special items from the dark character’s nightstand. This one also costs 2,400 CoD points.
In Pokémon GO the great buddy feature is now available for all players from level 2. Correspondingly, the item Knursp has appeared in the in-game shop. We provide you with all the info.
What is the buddy feature? The buddy system has been revolutionized and you can now do much more with your buddy Pokémon. You can now feed it, and it even walks alongside you on the map.
After Niantic announced it, it is now available worldwide for all players from level 2. It happened faster than expected, since the release was actually planned for early 2020.
All about the buddy feature and Knursp
How does the buddy feature work? To start, you actually don’t have to do anything. When you open the game, the new feature is shown and explained directly.
You can then feed your buddy with a berry, pet it, or swap it. Once you have fed it and you are “good friends”, your buddy will also walk next to you on the map.
This information was previously unknown: Niantic has revealed some things, but in the end, there are still some additional experiences that players have now made in the first hours.
When you feed your buddy, it gets a heart. You can get up to three hearts per day.
Once the buddy has appeared on the map and you’ve walked 2 km with it, its motivation increases and you get a heart. This works a total of 3 times per day.
Super buddies help you catch Pokémon and find gifts.
Hyper buddies can even interact with PokéStops and give you souvenirs from them.
Best buddies become stronger in battle and gain more CP.
Your buddy will become this much stronger: As a best buddy, your Pokémon receives a CP boost in battle. Correspondingly, data miners have found new CP multipliers. They determine how much stronger a Pokémon gets per level.
From level 40, there are even fewer CP added. Source: reddit
This was already known until level 40. Now there is this multiplier up to level 45. It seems that your buddy can become up to 5 levels stronger with the CP boost.
What can Knursp do? Players were quite surprised when a new item suddenly appeared in the in-game shop. You can now buy the item Knursp for 100 coins there.
This increases your buddy’s motivation when you feed it to him. This way it stays available on the map longer and you don’t have to give it several berries.
Additionally, your buddy will then collect candies twice as fast for a certain period of time.
Is the purchase worth it? If you want candies faster, you can consider getting it if you are already out and about. It is not game-changing. However, to have your buddy follow you on the map, normal berries are also sufficient. If that is enough for you, then you don’t need Knursp.
There are new raid bosses in Pokémon GO. Here you can see the overview:

Is that all? Modern Warfare gives players double XP for weapons starting December 20. This way you can still unlock a decent amount of attachments before the holidays, before your relatives drag you away from the screen with threats. In the meantime, you can also improve your aim.
World War Z made headlines at its release with literal hordes of zombies as foes. Now, a new mode is coming with a free update – featuring even more zombies.
This mode is coming: The new mode announced by World War Z is called “Horde Mode Z” and increases the number of flesh-eating undead you must fight against even further. The mode comes as part of a free update.
During the rounds, you can also complete additional side tasks for even more resources and, if you’re quick, collect randomly scattered items. There is especially good loot in special military containers that you must blow open.
You play cooperatively with other players. The update is now available.
More content in World War Z
This is still in the update: In addition to the new mode, there will be other content available over the course of the current Season 2. A new type of zombie will be implemented: a bomber zombie.
The bomber carries explosives on his body and explodes when you hit him. You must target his limbs to bring him down and defuse his bombs. Then you will be rewarded with special loot from the zombie.
There will also be another paid DLC “Military Bundle” with special weapon skins. This costs €5.99 on PC and €6.99 on Xbox One. The bundle has not yet appeared in the PS Store (as of December 18).
These contents are still coming: In the last update of the season, there will also be more free content. This includes support for crossplay (presumably between all platforms PC, Xbox One, and PS4) and new free cosmetics.
More information about the upcoming updates will follow.
In Borderlands 3 the DLC “Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot” has started. The Borderlands Show took a look inside – and beyond.
This is the Borderlands Show: In the Borderlands Show, the developers regularly talk about new content for the game. This time, Anthony Nicholson, Head DLC Producer of Borderlands 3, was a guest.
Nicholson is responsible for all sorts of additional content, such as seasonal events like Bloody Harvest or Takedowns. Yes, Nicholson spoke of Takedowns in the plural – Maliwan Takedown is unlikely to be the last raid-like additional content.
Maliwan Takedown – a challenging challenge
What Comes After the Handsome Jackpot DLC
What Makes DLCs in Borderlands 3 Special: Those who have already taken a look at the first images from the new DLC will notice that the Handsome Jackpot offers an unusual setting. The space casino stands out significantly from previous content – and future DLCs are intended to follow suit. “The DLCs are all unique and differ from each other,” Nicholson explained the creation process: “Let’s do something crazy,” was the motto – and that’s how the casino DLC came about.
“We always ask ourselves: What do we think the community would be most excited about?” said Nicholson, who at least clearly stated one announcement: “With every DLC, there will be new loot and rewards for challenges.” The battles and hurdles in future content are also intended to provide experiences that stand out from what has been experienced so far: “We always want to ensure that boss fights feel unique.”
Where Will the Next DLCs Lead? Fans should not expect that with every DLC, a new planet will be added to the game. “It’s always about gameplay. I don’t think it’s necessarily necessary to always add a new planet.” After all, Borderlands 3 already offers many exciting locations. For example, Nicholson would like to further expand Athenas in the future.
Will Athenas be expanded?
What About Updates, Loot, and Events? In the future, players can also continue to expect regular updates. Bugs, such as the Guardian Rank bug, can still occur and will be fixed – even if this doesn’t always happen as quickly as Nicholson would like.
Furthermore, he hinted: “We’ve heard that people want to specifically farm weapons.” They’ve been working on that and are considering better drop rates.
There will also be new seasonal events in the future. However, Nicholson did not reveal which ones they will be. The new roadmap for 2020, including new events and information about DLCs, will be announced in January.
So, there is still much to look forward to in the future. This player, whose enjoyment of the game was just saved by the community, is likely to be pleased:
The famous streamer Ninja confesses that he is glad not to be a pro in Apex Legends. He prefers to keep playing Fortnite, even though he is actually good at Apex.
This is what Ninja says: Shortly after Ninja received a baseless ban from Apex Legends, he talked about his career and the two games during his stream. He said:
I was really good at Apex. If I had stuck with it, I would be one of the best players in the game. But I’m really happy that I stayed with Fortnite.
The competitive scene [in Apex] is so small, it’s so tiny. There’s a manageable number of players in it and I really enjoy watching, but it’s just so small.
The relevant passage begins in the embedded video at about minute 2:05.

His ban has nothing to do with this, by the way. It has since been lifted.
What’s going on with E-Sports in Apex Legends?
The scene is as big as this: Apex Legends has only been on the market since February 2019 and has only been able to deal with E-Sports for a few months. One of the best and most well-known players, dizzy, has already retired.
The team that dizzy competed with earned relatively little in the won tournament. Generally, the prize pools of Apex Legends are still quite low compared to other games that can really be played as a profession.
Dizzy has retired.
However, the scene appears to be growing. A tournament with a prize pool of $3 million is scheduled for February 2020. While it still lags far behind Fortnite ($40 million at the World Cup), it is a start.
Final Fantasy XIV will receive a new monster in February 2020 that is quite formidable. Ruby Weapon is a notorious mega-boss from Final Fantasy VII. Here is everything you need to know about him.
What is Ruby Weapon in FFVII? Many veterans of the Final Fantasy series will experience collective PTSD at the name Ruby Weapon. Ruby Weapon is one of the planet’s protectors in FFVII, created 2000 years ago to fight against the threat of Jenova.
Ruby Weapon as seen in FFVII
However, the battle did not take place and the Weapons fell into a deep sleep in the Northern Crater. Therefore, Ruby Weapon is actually not evil. However, that does not prevent it from being a real pest in battle.
The beast has a ridiculously high defense value and is immune to all elemental attacks. Additionally, it can permanently remove 2 out of 3 characters from the fight. This, along with many other annoying abilities, has made Ruby one of the hardest bosses in the FF series.
Warning: Spoilers from Patch 5.1 of Final Fantasy XIV follow.
How does Ruby Weapon appear in FFXIV? As is often the case with monsters from other FF games, Ruby Weapon will also be directly integrated into the story and lore of Final Fantasy XIV. The quest line concerning the Weapons will revolve around Garlemald and the new unexpected ally Gaius Baelsar.
At the end of the story from Patch 5.1, Estinien returns from his journey to Garlemald, where he was traveling with Gaius. He recounts that their paths separated after escaping from the imperial capital.
This is how Ruby Weapon will look in FFXIV. The head is certainly similar in shape to the original.
According to Gaius, a new threat has appeared on the scene that he urgently needs to address. From the producer’s letter, we now know that this danger is Ruby Weapon.
It will be introduced in the new quest line “The Sorrow of Werlyt,” which starts at the end of the story from Patch 5.1. And it can be assumed that this is again related to Allagan technology.
Ruby, however, is just the first trial fight of the quest line. The fights will, as usual, take place over several patches, similar to the quests for the four elemental deities from the Stormblood expansion.
The quest line “The Sorrow of Werlyt” will revolve around Gaius Baelsar.
It is therefore quite possible that Emerald and Sapphire Weapon from Final Fantasy VII will also have their own trial fights. Ruby is expected to be released around mid-February 2020 with Patch 5.2.
What could the battle against Ruby Weapon look like? Final Fantasy XIV is known for creatively incorporating the attacks and battle mechanics of bosses from previous games into the MMORPG’s combat system.
For example, the raid fight against Kefka features the statues of the gods from which he draws his power in FFVI, or from Neo-Exdeath in Final Fantasy V, his attacks Crand Cross and Almagest.
The statues in the raid fight against Kefka are modeled after those from FFVI.
I firmly believe that we can also expect some of Ruby Weapon’s old attacks to return. I think the following iconic elements will appear in the trial fight in one way or another:
Whirlsand: The probably best-known attack of Ruby, which completely removes team members from the combat until only one remains. It could only be evaded if you entered the fight against Ruby with 2 dead characters.
Tentacles: They were also a central element of the fight against Ruby. The tentacles drained large amounts of HP and MP from the characters and inflicted annoying status effects. However, as long as they were on the field, Ruby did not use Whirlsand.
Ruby Ray: One of Ruby’s strongest attacks, which also causes the status effect Confuse.
If Ruby Weapon manages to remove two of the characters from the battle, you will have to face it and its two tentacles alone.
Especially with Whirlsand, I see many options for fun combat mechanics. In Final Fantasy XIV, it is not possible to enter an instance with dead characters. This means the development team would have to come up with a different trick in that regard.
For example, I would find it cool if we received a special command for the mechanic, like Vril with Lakshmi. The tentacles would work great as adds in the fight, and Ruby Ray has the potential to become Ruby’s strongest attack, preceded by a DPS check.
But however the battle may ultimately look, it will surely evoke a lot of nostalgia for FFVII fans.
New details and screenshots have been released for the MMO shooter Plan 8. The focus is on the exosuits and the open world, which aims to distinguish the game from other shooters.
What is Plan 8? Plan 8 is described as a next-generation shooter. It aims to go beyond the current conventions of MMO shooters and bring unique gameplay related to the exosuits.
The focus also lies on the story set in a post-apocalyptic world that has been invaded by aliens.
Plan 8 is developed by Pearl Abyss, known primarily for Black Desert. They are working alongside Minh Le, one of the two creators of “Counter Strike”.

What makes Plan 8 special? The game aims to stand out with an open world, numerous MMO elements, and the exosuits compared to other games in the genre.
According to their statements, the developers benefit from the experiences they gathered with Black Desert. Responsible for the MMO shooter is, fittingly, the former Environment Art Director of BDO, Seungki Lee.
While the developers haven’t released many details about the open world and MMO elements so far, they have now provided new information about the exosuits.
Exosuits grant players superpowers
What are exosuits? Exosuits are the essential component of Plan 8. They are mechanical extensions of the body that can be worn on the arms, legs, or back.
Each exosuit offers different functions, including:
Wall-running.
Enhanced strength in the arms to break doors or climb exceptionally well.
The ability to fly.
Control over a swarm of mini-robots.
What makes the exosuits so special? In Plan 8, the exosuits can be exchanged and upgraded. This will also enhance your character.
Moreover, certain exosuits counter other versions, which means they also include strategic elements.
Full freedom with firearms?
What else plays a role besides the exosuits? Besides the exosuits, firearms also play an important role in Plan 8. There are different types of weapons, as well as the possibility to upgrade and modify them.
The upgrades and modifications are not supposed to follow the “standardized form.” Instead, players should let their creativity run free and customize the weapons according to their wishes.
What this specifically means for gameplay, we do not know yet.
Release on PC and consoles
When will Plan 8 be released? So far, there is no release date for the MMO shooter. It was announced by Pearl Abyss together with Crimson Desert and DokeV at G-Star.
Like the other two games, Plan 8 is expected to have a first beta in 2020. A release for PC and consoles is also planned.
