Technically, there’s still a lot to do
How is it being received? The ratings on Steam currently sit at 65% and are Mixed. It is still in an early access phase that needs some polishing in technical aspects. Players mainly criticize the netcode, which causes less than optimal network performance, as well as the in-game purchases.
You need to repair your weapons. For that, you need money. You can either buy the in-game currency or grind it out over time. This grind is currently under some criticism. The game had issues during the closed beta, but the developers are working on the problems.

What do the players think? The community is somewhat divided about the online shooter.
STYLZ Z writes on Steam: “This game is really quite good. It is especially worth it because it’s free. There are no cheaters, which is a big plus.”

What do the player counts look like? The average number of concurrent players in the last 30 days is around Steamcharts 168. The peak was 412. However, it’s worth noting that Ironsight has also been playable via its own launcher for several months now.

What can Guardians expect in 2020?
Bungie’s current focus: Currently, Bungie is working a lot on Destiny 2. They want to fully focus on the individual seasons in 2020.
The Community Manager again emphasized the plan to create a connected Destiny universe. The seasons should all create a common narrative framework, and there should be an overarching story. The current season is thematically leading into the next.

Is it time for Destiny 3? The original release of Destiny 2 was in September 2017 (for consoles). With Shadowkeep, the third year of the current Destiny installment was recently initiated. This brought many changes to the game.
For the first time, Destiny has switched to a “free-to-play” model. The base version of the game is currently completely free to enjoy on consoles, PC, and newly Stadia. Even some contents of the current seasons are available to every Guardian.
The next big step in the Destiny franchise will surely come. However, Bungie will only let us in when there is something significant to report. This may not be such a bad thing. No Guardian would wish for a hasty launch like in 2017 with Destiny 2.

In the superhero MMORPG DC Universe Online (DCUO), an exploit was discovered that significantly affected the game economy. To manage this, players now have to pay taxes.
What happened? An exploit caused trillions of counterfeit money to circulate in the superhero MMORPG DC Universe Online. This money has greatly influenced the economy in the game.
The exploit led to high price increases, and those who exploited it are now able to enrich themselves significantly.
Players must pay taxes
How are the developers reacting? A hotfix has already been deployed that removes the exploit. Additionally, measures have been initiated against the respective cheaters. However, trillions are still circulating that shouldn’t belong in the game at all. These now need to be removed somehow.
Other games, such as MU Legend perform a rollback in such cases and revert the game several weeks back. However, the developers of DC Universe Online did not want to do that. Instead, they have now introduced a tax aimed at removing most of this money.
Who has to pay the tax? Everyone. Anyone who has accumulated more than 500 million dollars in in-game currency must pay the tax. The more money you have, the higher the tax amount. However, the tax only needs to be paid once.
Why does everyone have to pay the tax? Due to the exploit, the money has distributed itself throughout the entire economy. According to the developers, essentially every player received a part of the money that is illegal in the game. Therefore, everyone has to give something back – unless they have no more than 500 million dollars.
Does this measure solve all the economic problems? No. The team explicitly states that this is only meant to largely remove the money from the game that came in through the exploit. There are still some other economic issues in DCUO that are not resolved by this.
Unfair but necessary
How are players reacting to this? There are certainly voices that find it unfair. Not everyone knowingly participated in the exploit, yet now everyone is being punished. Nevertheless, part of the community understands that this step is necessary to bring the economy back into balance and to move forward.
Myandria summarizes it well in the official forum: “It’s easy to be frustrated. But we need patience now, and the players must understand that the developers need time to move forward with their plans.”
Has it really made a difference? Players report that prices in the game are rising again. It seems there are still more problems. But at least the trillions that illegally entered the game through the exploit are now removed. However, there is still more for the developers to do.

Finally, there is a release date for the Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth. We will reveal when the WoW patch starts and also have the dates for the new raid.
For several months now, Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth has been available on the World of Warcraft test realm. The bosses have already been extensively tested, and many systems have been revised and improved multiple times. Now the development is slowly coming to an end, as Blizzard has announced an official release date.
When does Patch 8.3 come out? The big patch will be released on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, so in nearly 4 weeks. As announced, Blizzard is thus waiting for the Christmas season and holiday period before rolling out new content next year.

When does the first Iron Banner of the new season start? It starts right on 24.12., as usual, the event runs for a week:
Do I need to complete a quest again before I can redeem tokens? Yes! Since this Iron Banner is the first of the Season of Dawn, you will again need to complete a quest before you can redeem the corresponding tokens with Lord Saladin. Bungie has at least changed some quest steps. Some different weapons are required. Here’s the procedure in detail:
The quest is character-based and rewards you with the Iron Banner set of the Season of Dawn upon completion
Each successfully completed quest step rewards you with Iron Banner weapons or armor
The progress of the tasks is always recorded in the background, even if you have not yet received the quest
As long as the quest is not completed, you will receive Iron Banner rewards only after finishing Iron Banner matches. There will only be weapons in the loot pool until then. You will also have access to seven bounties that grant top rewards up to Power Level 970. Four of these can be selected in one event.
Is the new cool Iron Banner bow coming? Those who have been paying attention could find a new bow in the calendar for the Season of Dawn, which was actually supposed to come with the now-starting Iron Banner. Borderlands 3 is bringing a new patch today, December 19, which mainly focuses on Maliwan Takedown. Solo players can look forward to this very soon!
When is the patch coming? As usual, the hotfixes for Borderlands 3 will be rolled out overnight from Thursday to Friday. The patch should go live everywhere by 00:00. This means it will be released approximately six hours later than the new DLC that you can play starting now.
This is the toughest challenge: The currently officially hardest challenge in the game is Maliwan Takedown. Here, you have to take over a Maliwan base and face very strong enemies. The challenge is scaled so that it is meant to be completed only by four level 50 players together. But not for much longer.

This is changing immediately for you: First of all, Gearbox is addressing the matchmaking for the Takedown with the patch. However, groups will benefit first: The raid will only start when there are actually four players in the party. Previously, it also happened that you would land with just two or three people in the Takedown, even though you wanted to start with four.
In addition, the shields and armor of the spheres in the Takedown have been reduced. There were also some bug fixes outside the Takedown.
This is changing soon: The patch also introduced a scaling of the Takedown, which will only be active during a specific period. From December 31 to January 16, Maliwan Takedown will scale based on the number of members in your party.

This means you are essentially getting the chance to conquer Maliwan Takedown alone, as a duo, or as a trio as a New Year’s gift, without having to endure the difficulty meant for four max-level players. This will make the hunt for the legendary Maliwan Takedown loot much easier.

Bethesda has released new screenshots for the upcoming major Wastelanders update for Fallout 76. These show the first NPCs you will encounter in the new content.
What kind of NPCs are they? In a new “Inside the Vault“, Bethesda has highlighted four NPCs with new screenshots. Two of them are the settlers Lacey and Isela. They wait right outside Vault 76 to greet new players while they themselves are on a quest for answers.
These are the screenshots: In the first screenshot, Lacey and Isela prominently stand in the foreground. They wait at one of the stairs leading down from Vault 76 to Appalachia to talk with players.
The second screenshot shows the “Wayward”, a diner (or an establishment) located very close to the Overseer’s C.A.M.P. in the woods. New players can find it quite quickly as it is discovered very early on. The interior is instanced.
In the Wayward, you’ll find Mort and Duchesse. Here you can apparently stock up on supplies, rest, and even take on quests, as the two have problems with ruffians.
In the last screenshot, two NPCs are currently working on a machine that apparently needs to be repaired. These are not meant to have any real purpose and will not assign you any tasks, but rather make the world seem more alive with their daily activities – after all, Appalachia is now bustling with life again.
What else is coming: In the blog post, Bethesda also talks about the promised port of Fallout 76 to Steam. This is now said to be “closer to the release of Wastelanders”, but no exact date has been given.
In addition, the legendary merchant will have a new offer starting December 24. For 60 Legendary Scrips, you’ll receive a random 3-star Legendary. The event ends on December 31.

With the update 1.12, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare introduces some festive elements to the game. The Gunfight map Docks comes completely decorated for the holidays and features an Easter egg that will thrill “Back to the Future” fans.
What’s going on in CoD? Holiday events or hidden “Santa Claus” references for the holidays have become quite normal in video games today. This year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare also brings a bit of festive cheer to players’ screens.

The sleigh, including reindeer, the ghost dog Riley, and a jolly Captain Price, then accelerates to 88 miles per hour and disappears into space and time.
Although the flux capacitor is not visible, the burning sled track clearly hints at the beloved film series from the 80s: Back to the Future.
With the note and the sleigh key at 12, “PrestigeIsKey” and his buddy unraveled the secret of the Easter egg.
What do I need to do to make the sleigh fly? If you stand on the side of the winter version of the Gunfight map Docks facing the water and look towards the center of the map, you can see a clock with a weather vane on the left side of the map.
The Easter egg is activated when you hit the weather vane at 12. The clock stops, a lightning bolt strikes, and the connected power cables transmit electricity across the map to the sleigh launch site. With a shot at the clock, you can make the hands spin faster.
How can I best see the Easter egg? Start a private Gunfight on the map and try it a few times. You need to hit the right timing almost exactly.
It’s best to do this with a friend. If one of you is in CoD-Caster mode, you can capture some nice shots of the time-traveling Santa.

What else does the map have to offer? Docks has been beautifully arranged and festively decorated. The entire map is filled with winter and Christmas elements.
There have been festive-themed maps in Call of Duty before, but the winter version of Docks is quite impressive and may well be the prettiest holiday map yet.
Additionally, we learned how Santa manages to deliver gifts to children around the world each year: He simply travels through time.
For Day 2 of the Winter Festival 2019 in Fortnite you need to light campfires on the map. We will show you the locations on the map.
What is the Challenge? In Fortnite, the Winter Festival celebration is currently active, regularly unlocking new tasks for you. Today, on December 19, the task starts that revolves around campfires on the map.
You need to light one of them and then rekindle it. The task is completed. It’s quite simple, as there are numerous spots on the map where you can light fires. However, we will show you an overview map with locations so you can perhaps save a little time or establish a specific route for a match.
How do I ignite the fire? After you have normally lit the campfire, another option becomes available. It’s called “Rekindle campfire” and requires 30 wood as material.
So collect wood near the campfire to rekindle it. You will have completed the task and can turn your attention to new challenges posed by Fortnite.
If the fire is burning, it also restores your health points.

Every 24 hours, Fortnite unlocks additional challenges that you can activate by searching the Christmas stockings in the lodge.

A small, secret change has been sneaked into WoW Classic . And it has to do with how letters work…
Actually, World of Warcraft Classic aimed to remain unchanged as much as possible and stay close to the original version of the game. However, over time, some details have been adjusted, such as the strong Goblin guards or the behavior of skeletons of killed players. Now there has been a new change that was quietly introduced with the restart of the realms. Letters no longer work as they used to.
What has changed? Those who wanted to could always make a copy of letters in World of Warcraft and receive this as a “Plain Letter” into their inventory. This letter could then be passed on to other players and shown around. This is no longer possible, as Plain Letters have become soulbound since yesterday, meaning they can no longer be transferred to other characters.
This means that you can no longer send nice letters or memories of this kind to a bank character, but they must always remain with the original recipient.
Why was this change made? It is not clear why Blizzard made this change, as there has been no statement from the developer regarding it. However, players suspect that Blizzard wants to tackle various spam and troll actions with this. For many years, there have been jokers who sell letters in the auction house and then write a nasty message like “Haha, you idiot, you really bought this”.
Other players think that Blizzard wants to prevent various kinds of lotteries in the game, where the “operator” simply hands out letters with certain numbers as tickets.
Roleplayers are particularly disturbed: This change particularly affects roleplayers. They often use letters to serve as flyers in roleplay and hand them out to other players in RP – for example, as an invitation to a specific event or as an announcement of a certain development within the story. The removal of this option has caused discontent among players.
Especially strange: In the retail version of WoW (that is, Battle for Azeroth) letters are still not soulbound and can be freely traded.
It would therefore be possible that this is merely a strange bug rather than a conscious decision.

This is the Hunter exotic we’re talking about: For the build, we rely on the exotic gloves Mechaner’s Trick Sleeves. This armor piece has been in the game since the launch of Destiny 2. It was, however, revamped in the summer of 2018.
The unique ability of this exotic is Flechette Holster. This increases the handling and reload speed of pistols. If you switch to the pistol while severely injured, it deals significantly increased damage.

These pistols we recommend: Since the recommended exotic only supports pistols, we will mention two of the currently strongest legendary sidearms of the Season of Dawn:
Judgment of the Traveler – This pistol belongs in the secondary slot and deals arc damage. Instead of a single shot, the weapon fires a 3-round burst. Judgment of the Traveler can shine with strong PvE rolls, like Frenzy combined with Surrounded (40% extra damage). You can reliably earn the weapon through the Nessus Obelisk.
Breaklight – The pistol inspired by Saint-14 is used in the kinetic slot. With this weapon, you have the opportunity to utilize Multikill Clip. This increases your damage by a strong 50%.

This is how you play the build: This build is not for reserved Guardians. You must plunge bravely into enemy hordes. Remember that we want to take critical damage. Only then do we benefit from the Mechaner’s Trick Sleeves.
Getting your health bar into the critical range isn’t as big a problem as some players might think. Even in the red zone, your Guardian can still take a hit or two. The offered bonus clearly outweighs the risk.
If the exotic perk Flechette Holster is active, all pistols deal a whopping 100% extra damage. So you double the already considerable damage. Since pistols already do very well against adds without support, you’ll wipe the floor with everything in seconds thanks to the bonuses.
With abilities like Multikill Clip, your pistol reaches 17,000 DPS. Thanks to the Mechaner’s Trick Sleeves, the DPS value jumps to a staggering 34,000. With that, you surpass special weapons like sniper rifles by a good margin. Even smaller bosses don’t stand a chance anymore.
You benefit from this bonus as long as your health bar is in the red zone. There doesn’t seem to be a timer. Note that self-inflicted damage does not count here. So you can throw as many grenades at your feet as you want; the original damage must come from an enemy.

In Pokémon GO there is suddenly a new update, which brings many small changes. Annoying bugs have been fixed, and quests related to Christmas have been added.

Here’s the deal: A video has surfaced on reddit showing some impressive kills. The player uses only the throwing knife and doesn’t see his opponents. He throws the knife blindly into the air and is successful.
Other players are just amazed and congratulate the soldier on these spectacular kills.

This is why it works so well: At the start of the round, both teams always spawn together in one spot on the map. If you know this spawn point, you can throw a knife or grenade in that direction right at the start of the round. The players are still clustered together, and you could get a hit.
Of course, a lot of practice is also required. After all, you have to calculate the flight path of the knife and know exactly where and how steeply to throw the knife.
In the end, a bit of luck is also needed that a player is standing right there and hasn’t moved further away yet.
Is such a gameplay tactic worth it? It’s not effective in all game modes in Modern Warfare. If you’re playing a mode where you cannot respawn, it can be quite effective. You can take out an opponent before they can become a threat to you and your team.

The MMO Kingdom Under Fire 2 has received a major update that included quality of life changes, as well as a completely new raid. Currently, the German guilds are particularly active in this raid.
How is the update received? The new patch of Kingdom Under Fire 2 is well received by the players because Gameforge has made some changes that were urgently required:
The distribution of loot has been adjusted so that now every player receives loot instead of rolling for rare loot.
Players no longer receive loot for other classes after a mission.
The unit “Slaughterer” has been weakened, which was significantly stronger than the other units.
The guild size has been increased from 40 to 60.
However, a highlight is the new raid. “The Scourge Peaks” have particularly attracted hardcore players.

Which guilds are competing for the World First? The most successful guild in the raid is currently “Sterbehilfe”, which also shares its progress on Twitch. They completed stage 2 of the raid for the World First on December 17.

When does snow come to GTA Online 2019? GTA Online stayed true to its line and unlocked snow today, December 20, 2019, in GTA Online.
As we know, the snowfall in Los Santos always starts on the last Friday before Christmas.
What else is new in GTA Online? Since December 19, you can find festive decorations in various facilities such as the Nightclub, the CEO office, or the Diamond Casino. These include Christmas trees, snowflake animations, and more. A visit is definitely worthwhile now.
We expect more gifts in the coming days, such as fireworks and free armor that will be given to players.
