What is a Deviljho and why is it called Cucumber? The Deviljho is a very dangerous monster that has brought many hunters down. It is incredibly greedy and even eats its own tail when it is severed.
Although it is so dangerous, it has a rather humorous reputation. Deviljho often simply gets caught in environmental traps without even being involved in the fight. Moreover, it is called “Cucumber” by the community. This comes from its appearance, especially its tail. The Deviljho looks like a sour pickle. You know, the kind in the jar.
Additionally, there is a quest in Monster Hunter World where you must defeat a tempered Deviljho. Capcom aptly named this in German “Pickle Time.” One has to chuckle first before the even stronger version of the Deviljho wipes you out.
Why a Deviljho? The Deviljho is one of my favorite monsters. It is simply iconic and has been around since Monster Hunter 3. Defeating it is always a challenge. And it brings me good cheer unless it’s killing me.
The crocheted Dodogama
This crocheted monster I also have: However, it didn’t stop at a Deviljho. I also received a Dodogama from my friend. In terms of danger, it is the opposite of the Deviljho. No one in the community fears it; it is more like a mascot.
What is a Dodogama? A Dodogama is a Brute Wyvern with a strong jaw. It looks a bit like an overweight lizard but can be very fast. It devours rocks and then spits fireballs at players.
A Rathalos from Lego
I don’t know if you know these Lego Creator figures. With the sets, you have a building kit with bricks and can build three different things from it. One of them includes a red dragon.
You can imagine what a Monster Hunter fan thinks of first. We seized the opportunity and built a Rathalos out of Lego.

Deep down, I like the Deviljho a little more.

On Destiny 2, a new ship has appeared in the Eververse on Christmas Day. Amnestia-2 reveals through a long lore text what Prince Uldren Sov is currently doing in the Destiny 2 universe: he is struggling with himself.
How does Destiny tell us about Prince Uldren? The new ship “Amnestia-S2” has appeared in the cash shop of Destiny 2 today. Even the name is a reference to Uldren, as he apparently suffers from memory loss, from “amnesia.” It may also refer to an “amnesty” that is to be granted to Uldren.
The ship costs 800 silver (about €8) and comes with a longer lore text. The lore text refers to a “new guardian,” obviously Uldren Sov. He seems to have no memory of what has happened before. Other guardians avoid him.
Even though everyone is welcome at Anbruch, it seems Uldren is not yet ready to accept this invitation and join the circle of guardians, which his ghost is apparently waiting for.
What is behind it? Uldren Sov is a central figure in the mythology of Destiny. He was the brother of the queen, Mara Sov, in Destiny 1.
In an original, alternate story of Destiny, Uldren was known as “Crow” and was supposed to “enlighten” the guardian that the traveler does not have the best intentions for him and humanity as it seems, but has its own plans.
Mara Sov (or the being that took her form) had control over Uldren during Forsaken.
In the actual Destiny version, Uldren Sov is a side character who seems to have a problem with the guardian from the very beginning. In Forsaken, he finally turns against the Vanguard and the guardians. Sov shoots Cayde-6, the leader of the Hunter Vanguard, and is then either executed by the guardian himself or by Petra Venj. It is unclear.
However, Uldren is a divided figure and not a classic villain, as he is under the influence of a dark power that disguises itself as his sister, manipulating him.

But Uldren Sov is chosen and revived by a ghost – due to Cayde-6’s legacy, it is believed that he could become the next leader of the Hunters in Destiny 2.
As we now know from the Anbruch ship, Uldren Sov is still licking his wounds and seems to be dealing with the trauma of what it means to have died and been resurrected.
Since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, players have been working to decipher puzzles. Some remain unresolved even more than a year after the release. We present a selection of them.

Who is Gavin and where can you find him?
Anyone who has played the story of Red Dead Redemption 2 will have passed by the guy who asks if you have seen his buddy Gavin at least twice.
The man asking you about his buddy is named Nigel. He seems to have taken it upon himself to walk through the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 calling out for Gavin. However, there are no more precise clues about whom you are looking for. Just a rough description, which doesn’t provide clear tips. Thus, you cannot help Nigel.
That’s why players came up with the idea to kill Nigel. His corpse contains a letter from a “Tom,” congratulating Nigel and Gavin on being successful cowboys in America originally from England. Yet, even here, there is no helpful description for finding Gavin.
Has anyone seen Gavin?
Players scoured the entire world but cannot find Gavin. That’s why there are the most outrageous theories.

Francis Sinclair and the Connection to GTA
You first meet the character Francis Sinclair in the Stranger mission “Geology for Beginners.” He asks you to find stone carvings for him. He doesn’t explain why he wants them. In the final scene of the quest, you see a woman (Mrs. Sinclair) in Francis’s hut, holding a red-haired baby in her arms. The woman says that her husband died just before Francis was born. The name of her deceased husband is Tom, and the baby is named Francis.

Why Jirachi fits: If you look in the PokéDex, you’ll see that Jirachi is also referred to as the “Wishing Pokémon.” It grants the wishes of thousands of people, much like Santa Claus.
What is told about Jirachi: Almost every Pokémon has a story told by the anime or other platforms surrounding Pokémon. There is also such a story for Jirachi.
Jirachi actually sleeps all the time. Only once every thousand years does the Pokémon wake up and grants the wishes of people. In order for the wishes to come true, people must write them down on the slips of paper attached to Jirachi’s body. When Jirachi is awake, it fulfills every wish on those slips.

This is how Christmas is celebrated in Destiny: Not only with us, Christmas is in full swing in the world of Destiny as well. The winter event is called the Dawning. During this time, the Tower is festively decorated, and harmonious music is meant to put you in a festive mood.
The Guardians can frolic in the snow or write (expensive) gifts from Tess Everis’ Eververse on their wish lists – just like real kids and those who are young at heart. Additionally, Eva Levante has brought back an oven. Players can bake all kinds of treats like cookies with it.
But why should only our virtual Guardians get to enjoy delicious pastries?
Landing Zone: Christmas Bakery
An epic quest awaits me: In Destiny 2, my Guardian has accomplished much. I have faced formidable raid bosses and just recently reclaimed the Moon. In the Crucible, I show no mercy, and Zavala regularly praises me for my Vanguard services.
But now, in line with the holidays, there’s a new quest. This task takes place unusually not in-game, but in my kitchen. I want to bake a cake, in the spirit of the Dawning.
Join me on the hardest quest of all. Will I be able to save the Dawning? Will Lord Shaxx be proud? Will my pastry bring even the chronically grumpy Eris Morn a smile? We shall see.
Small note: This is a real recipe. So all Guardians out there are invited to bake along and complete the quest collectively. In honor of the great Traveler, we will present a perfectly round delicacy.
This is what an oven looks like in Destiny 2
Quest step 1 – Grinding ingredients: At the beginning of the adventure, a collection task awaits me. Since I have to craft two quest items, the grinding will be extensive. To save time, I combine both collection tasks. Luckily, I can find all the items on the planet Earth.
For the first quest item, I gather these ingredients:
250 grams “All purpose flour” corresponds to 405 wheat flour in our regions .
200 grams sugar
One tablespoon of baking powder
A pinch of salt
115 grams butter – why not a nice round 100 grams? Because the quest giver makes the rules
One teaspoon of vanilla extract, please do not confuse with a tablespoon
One cup of low-fat milk
Two eggs (size L)
In one go, I also complete the second part of the fetch quest. For later, I store these ingredients in my inventory:
5 egg whites – it doesn’t always have to be the yolk
500 grams warm butter
300 grams sugar – because we Guardians like it sweet
Again, a pinch of salt

Quest step 2 – Baking vanilla cake: Now it’s finally getting started. I equip myself with my strongest apron and head to the kitchen battlefield. I place the above-mentioned ingredients for the first quest item within reach.
Next, the ingredients need to come to room temperature, and the oven should be preheated to 350°. For some reason, my device only goes up to 250°. So I ask a friendly solar titan with his burning hammer to handle the baking sheet.
The Cryptarch informs me. The quest text is written in an ancient language (English). I made a translation error. So I have to convert the temperature. This means the oven here has to be preheated to 180° Celsius.
Now flour, sugar, and baking powder must be combined. Oh, and the pinch of salt goes in as well. The whole thing is put into an exotic mixer to be properly kneaded. According to the instructions, the butter is gradually added in pieces.
Bit by bit, the milk and the vex, uh, vanilla extract are added. Once everything is mixed, the next goal is to infuse the eggs. The mixer is now allowed to blend one egg on low speed. Once the mixture is smooth and fluffy, the second egg is added.
The mixture is divided among two buttered baking pans. Those who were diligent have earned sphere cake molds and use these.

The whole thing goes into the oven until golden brown. Aim for 30-35 minutes. In this time, you can easily complete two Crucible matches. After baking, let your current work cool for up to an hour.
Quest step 3 – Making buttercream: I open my inventory and take out the items for the second quest item. Once the preparation is done, the difficult part begins.
Now I whisk the egg whites, sugar, and salt in a bowl. The bowl belongs in a warm water bath during this process. Stir until the sugar melts and a homogeneous mixture is formed. The result will reward me for the hard quest.
Now my new favorite weapon comes into play again: the mixer. Everything is mixed with precision. At low speed, the butter is added piece by piece.
To make it colorful, food coloring is added if necessary. The round is almost over. I give it my all and stir for about two minutes at full power. Shaxx is sure to be proud of my buttercream.
Quest step 4 – Forging the relic (cake): In honor of the great Traveler, I shape the cake after his round likeness. Fortunately, I have a lot of experience in crafting in the Black Armory .
The quest requires me to combine the cooled base cake and the buttercream. I stick the vanilla pastry together with a layer of buttercream. With my kitchen/throwing knife, I trim the cake into a sphere.
Finally, the Traveler is as round as he is large. I take the cutting tool and start carving. The goal should be a shape that resembles a standard soccer ball. Smaller imperfections on the surface are fine since these will be hidden in the next step.
Additionally, I generously coat the glorious creation with buttercream. Damn, the quest is not finished yet. It needs to be delicately smoothed out until it actually has a smooth surface.
Now the whole thing gets frosted – always these annoying time locks. If you don’t have a cold heart at hand, pack the cake in the fridge for a while. This allows the components to bond.

Quest step 5 – Applying decoration: Similar to the exotic catalysts, I can also upgrade my cake. To unleash its full potential, the cake must be decorated.
Here, creativity knows no bounds. Should I use marzipan or maybe food coloring? Should I replicate the well-known Traveler one-to-one? Alternatively, I could also decorate the sphere with a Christmas theme. Sprinkles, many little colorful sprinkles would definitely look good on the cake.
Ah, what am I saying? I’m being honest with you. I couldn’t complete the quest. My skills simply aren’t enough right now.

To help you navigate through Conan Exiles, the game features the so-called “Journey”. The Journey provides you with ever new goals that come with rewards. Most of the steps are hidden – but we have the complete Journey for you!
What is the Journey? The Journey (German: Reise) accompanies you on your path through Conan Exiles. It offers you ever new goals that you can pursue when you get stuck.
The Journey consists of ten chapters, each with ten steps. These steps become increasingly challenging and are harder to complete. The first steps are very easy and quickly provide new characters with experience points.
There are some ambiguities in the individual steps of the Journey, as the later chapters are hidden. This makes it difficult for players to experience the steps when they are stuck on earlier tasks.

This is how to level up faster with the Journey: Every step you complete on your Journey grants you a substantial boost in experience. If you accomplish all the goals, you can quickly and efficiently reach level 60. Complete early simple steps from later chapters for more experience.
Some of the steps are difficult to complete or unclear. We have listed the entire Journey for you. Additionally, we have compiled some tips on how to best fulfill the goals. With our tips on the steps, you will find it easier to reach certain goals.

Reach the maximum level faster with the Journey.
Chapter 1
Climbing: Climb a wall or an object.
Drinking: Drink from a waterskin or a body of water.
Eating: Eat something. At the beginning, you can easily find eggs, maggots, insects, or berries in bushes.
Using a bed or a bedroll: Build a simple fiber bedroll (2 branches, 3 twine, and 6 plant fibers) and use it.
Dress up: Put on a piece of clothing. The first available clothing can be crafted directly from plant fibers in your inventory.
To victory! Kill an enemy.
Craft a tool: Craft a tool. The simplest tools are stone pickaxes and stone axes (5 branches and 5 stones each).
Find signs of intelligent life: Right at the location where you enter the world, you will find an obelisk and a note. Use one of them to complete the step.
Kick: Press the kick button without having a weapon equipped (Default: Left Ctrl / L2 / LT)
Dodge: Perform a dodge roll (Default: Left Alt / Circle / B)
Climbing is the first step of your journey.
Chapter 2
Invest knowledge points: Allocate one point in the attribute menu after you level up.
Acquire a sacred weapon: Have a weapon in your inventory. The first available weapon is a stone sword. Learn the “Warrior” talent at level 4 and craft a stone sword (5 branches, 20 stones, and 5 twine). You can also obtain weapons from a friend.
Consume a hearty meal: Eat something that has been cooked. It suffices to place pieces of meat or steaks in a campfire and cook them.
Seek shelter: You must receive the “Sheltered” status. You can find shelter in caves and protected nooks in the mountains. If you want to create your own shelter, learn the “Stone Mason Apprentice” talent at level 3 and build a foundation with four walls and a roof.
Execute a heavy finisher with a weapon: The finisher is the 4th attack in a combo. After three consecutive attacks, press the heavy attack button (Default: Right Mouse Button / R2 / RT).
Use a torch: Equip a torch in the quick slot and use it. You can get torches from friends or craft them yourself. (Improvised torch: 5 branches and 5 plant fibers)
Scout a camp of exiles: Find a camp of exiles and approach it. You can find exile camps around the river you encounter at the beginning. Look for big campfires.
Store goods: Place something in a chest or box. If you want to craft a box yourself, learn “Box Maker” at level 2 and craft a wooden box from 100 wood and 12 twine.
Create a home: You automatically fulfill this goal when you build a house. Simply place several foundations together with the “Stone Mason Apprentice” talent at level 3 and build walls and roofs on them. You can find the best building places for your home here.
Block an attack: For this step, you need a shield. Get a shield from a friend or craft one yourself with the “Defender” talent at level 5. A wooden shield (16 wood, 4 twine) or a bone shield (24 bones, 16 wood, 4 twine) will suffice and can also be found on enemies. Parry an enemy’s attack with your shield drawn and press the special button (Default: Left Ctrl / L2 / LT).
Invest a point in an attribute for the journey step.
Chapter 3
Equip a light armor piece: Get a light armor piece from a friend or craft one at an armor bench. You just need to equip the piece. This step is not fulfilled by many players – so if it doesn’t work, it is a bug.
Skin an animal with a skinning knife: Obtain a skinning knife from a friend or via the “Butcher Apprentice” talent at level 15. (5 branches and 20 iron ingots at the blacksmith’s workbench). Equip the tool and perform an attack on the corpse of an animal or a human.
Scout a Darfari camp: Darfari settle in the desert. If you see a banner with an eye on it or fences made of long wooden stakes from a distance, approach them. Darfari have dark skin and often wear tribal clothing.
Obtain an iron ingot: Take an iron ingot from a corpse or a chest, or craft one yourself. You need the “Blacksmith” talent at level 10 and a furnace. Place two pieces of iron ore and some coal in the furnace, turn it on, and wait.
Find someone to talk to: Some NPCs in the Exiled Lands are friendly towards you. The first of these NPCs can be found right at the great river below the waypoint “The Guardians”: Arcos, the Wanderer. You can also find some teachers of religions in the desert at certain locations. Talk to one of them, and the step is complete. Other players do not count!
Shoot an enemy: For this step, it is enough to fire an arrow at an enemy. You do not have to slay him with the shot. This is easiest if you target him and attack with a light attack.
Worship the Gods: You must build the temple of your chosen deity (360 stones, 160 wood, and 20 twine). If you have selected Crom, this step is not possible! You then need to learn a different religion from a teacher in the world.
Acquire a head: Harvest a dead animal with an axe. With a little luck, you will find a head while doing this.
Throw a bomb: You can find bombs most easily on enemies. This includes gas bombs, water bombs, tar bombs, and all other variants. Equip the bomb in your selection slot, select it, and perform an attack.
Scrape bark from trees with a pick: Hit a tree with any pick until you get bark.

Chapter 4
Bind an enemy to the Wheel of Pain: With the “Thrall Taker” talent at level 10, you can craft a Wheel of Pain, a club, and fiber bindings in your inventory. Craft everything and then attack a human NPC with the club until he is unconscious. Equip the bindings and use them on the unconscious opponent. Drag him to the Wheel and use it, and the step is complete.
Sleep in a bed: Use a bed. This includes any type of bed, but not a simple bedroll made of leather or fibers.
Craft an iron tool: Iron tools can be crafted at the blacksmith’s workbench. You need the “Iron Tools” talent at level 10 for this.
Obtain a potion: You only need to have the potion in your inventory – the easiest way is to let someone give you one. Otherwise, you can craft an Aloe Extract (10 Aloe Leaves) in the firebowl cauldron using the same talent at level 15. You can also obtain an equipment potion – but it has strange effects.
Show religious zeal: Craft any item at your altar.
Dye an object: If you have found or crafted a dye, select a piece of armor. In the “More” option, you will find the “Dye” option. Select a slot of the armor, then the dye and confirm your selection.

Fire a trebuchet: Trebuchets can be built with the “Engineer” talent at level 25. Once all four parts are assembled, you simply need to load a siege stone into it and fire the device.
Climb the Tower of Bats: You can find the tower southeast of the Nameless City on a hill. Climb as high as you can until the step is completed.

Chapter 6
Use explosives: Use a bomb. Equip it in the action bar and select it. You can now place it like a building part and then use it. Be sure to take cover, the explosion radius is large!
Modify a weapon: Apply one of the modifications from the “Weapon Smith Apprentice” talent at level 26. Simply drag the upgrade onto a weapon in your inventory. The weapon must have full durability.
Scout a camp of desert dogs: Desert dogs can be found in the north and northwest of the desert. Their sign is four scratches that look like the wound of a claw. Their largest stronghold is “The Den” right in the north of the Nameless City.
Lure an enemy into a trap: For this step, you need a trap bomb or a gas trap. Place the trap on the ground like a bomb and lure an enemy into it. The traps will not activate for a few seconds, so you must keep the enemy in position.

Recruit a unique thrall: Some enemies have names instead of descriptions. Break such an enemy at the Wheel of Pain and give him a place in your base.

Visit New Asgarth: New Asgarth is the circular city in the middle of the tundra to the north. Beware: The Nordheimers are tough opponents!
Defeat the scourge of mankind: Defeat the boss in the Black Fortress to the north.
Get utterly drunk: Drink five alcoholic beverages in a row.
Enter the Palace of the Witch Queen: The palace is located in the middle of the Forgotten City Xel-ha in the east of the swamp. You only need to enter the dungeon and explore it far enough, but you do not need to kill the Witch Queen.
Drink a Yellow Lotus Potion: Yellow Lotus Potions can be crafted with ten Yellow Lotus Blossoms at the firebowl cauldron. Be careful: When you drink it, you forget all your talents and attributes!
Harvest the Black Lotus Blossom: You can find Black Lotus in the Black Gardens right in front of the Forgotten City Xel-ha. Wear a sandstorm mask, as the gases can kill you quickly. The area is guarded by gorillas, so make sure to prepare well!
Find all Lemurian history stones: The stones are scattered all over the world. This step will take the longest and should be skipped for now.
Mine Star Metal. Find a piece of star metal ore. You only need to have the ore in your pocket and do not need to mine it. If you want to mine it yourself, you must find meteorites high in the north and blow them up with a bomb. Then, the ore will be exposed and can be mined. Upgrade your building to the highest level: Build a building part reinforced with black ice from hardened bricks or insulated wood. Here you can find out how to harden bricks.

Chapter 9
Visit the Hills of the Dead: In the west of the tundra is a pond in a barren area. Explore it until the step is complete. Beware: Ghosts and well-equipped enemies await here!
Defeat the Hill King: The Hill King is an undead giant in the west of the Hills of the Dead. His cave is sealed by a stone that is moved with demon blood.
Obtain a weapon made of black ice: Weapons made of black ice can only be crafted in the Temple of Frost or at a level 3 altar of Ymir. However, it is enough to borrow a weapon from a friend; it only needs to be in your inventory.
Strengthen yourself with war paint: Apply a war paint with practical effects. These can be crafted with the “Functional War Paint” talent at level 42.
Summon witch fire: You must have a witch fire torch in your inventory. You can borrow it or craft it with the “Alchemical Powder” talent at level 46.
Pour boiling oil from a siege cauldron: Siege cauldrons must be mounted on battlements. Fill them with tar and use them.
Maintain normal temperature in extreme cold: Keep your body temperature in the mid-range through clothing, food, and drinks while being in icy surroundings. The easiest way to achieve this is to cross the Bridge of Betrayal with warm clothes after having eaten warming food.
Defeat Hrugnir from the Frost: Hrugnir is the boss in the Temple of Frost.
Equip a Nordheimer armor set: Equip any armor piece from the selection of “Nordheimer Armors” at level 40.

Chapter 10
Find a legendary weapon: Legendary weapons can be found in chests next to world bosses. To open them, you need a lockpick, which you find on the bosses. You can only open the chests at level 60, so it’s best to ask a friend to lend you his weapon.
Destroy what lurks in the heart of the volcano: Kill the Degenerate in the Volcano.

GWENT: The Card Game for Witcher Fans
This is GWENT: If you have played Witcher 3 (which you certainly have), then you probably already know GWENT. It is a tactical card game that CD Projekt Red had embedded as a mini-game in Wild Hunt. You could collect cards, build decks, and challenge every third NPC in the game to a round of GWENT.

However, once you started, you quickly realized that the actual mini-game could be incredibly fun. Hours were sometimes spent searching for cards and winning tournaments – a development that CD Projekt Red also noticed.
In 2017, GWENT was then released as a standalone game on consoles, PC, and mobile devices. Especially the mobile version is perfect for a few matches in between to dive back into the Witcher world.

This is what GWENT looks like: The game is logically based on the mini-game from Wild Hunt, but has also made a few expansions to the rules that make it more tactical. You can choose from different factions and build decks with which you then compete online against other players.

What was the problem? Along with the 24-player raid “YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse” from Nier Automata, new outfits that fit the theme of the raid were added to the game in October. One of them was the outfit of the character 2B.
The FFXIV community quickly noticed that the “pants” of 2B had an impact on the body shape of their characters. Specifically, the pants enlarge the buttocks of both male and female characters.

However, with update 5.15, this enlargement was removed. Players on reddit and social media referred to it as the “Butt Nerf”. These discussions also reached director Yoshida.
The developers then promised to reverse the “Butt Nerf”. In the official translation of the live stream, where Yoshida spoke about the “nerf”, it states:
FFXIV has a feature that automatically adjusts the size of the buttocks depending on the combination of equipment items. When the 2B outfit was introduced to the game, without this feature being activated, it resulted in the buttocks sticking out from certain equipment items. We tried to fix this in patch 5.15, but this led to the buttocks becoming smaller depending on the equipment combination.
The team was not entirely sure whether the bug could be fixed by patch 5.18 on December 24. In the end, they succeeded and gave some FFXIV players a small Christmas gift.
Why is the size of the buttock so important? The character creator of FFXIV is quite limited in its options compared to many other MMORPGs. One of the options that some players from the community miss is the ability to adjust the size of the buttocks.
As a result, fans of shapely butts and hips in the MMORPG are left empty-handed. With the implementation of the 2B outfit, the developers provided a sort of “temporary fix” for the issue, as an after-the-fact slider for buttock size is, according to Yoshida, very difficult to implement.
