A PlayStation console caused quite a stir in Boston, USA. Parts of the airport had to be evacuated because the console from Sony was in such a bad condition that airport staff thought the device was a bomb.
Many gamers don’t travel more than 100 kilometers without securely packing their tech in a suitcase. The PS5, a laptop, or the Switch must come along – a TV in the holiday apartment is a must.
A PlayStation player also apparently thought it would be a good idea to take the console on a trip.
However, at the airport, it was the end of the line, as the gaming console caused hundreds of people at the Boston airport to be evacuated.
“Undignified condition” caused bomb alert
What exactly happened? A PlayStation player wanted to go through security with his console in his luggage.
However, the player only got as far as the X-ray check. According to police spokesman Dave Procopio, the responsible baggage screeners alerted a bomb disposal unit because they discovered a very suspicious device in the luggage. This was around 4 PM local time.
It turned out, however, that the bomb was an old PlayStation console. The console was in such bad shape, so old and broken, that it looked like a bomb in the X-ray images.
Terminal A of the airport was completely evacuated due to the find. Hundreds of people had to leave the airport, some were removed from their planes which were already waiting on the tarmac.

A passenger who arrived at the time of the evacuation spoke of people running out of the airport in a panic: “As I got out of the car, a few people ran towards me screaming,” Pam Lovano told a local TV station.
At around 5 PM local time, the bomb squad lifted the alarm and gave the all-clear.
It was only a completely rotted old PlayStation, not a bomb. Unfortunately, no photo of the neglected console survives.
A vacation without proper tech is unthinkable for some gamers. Even if the consoles stay in the bag, it’s reassuring to know that you can spontaneously grind for 8 hours at any time.
The affected PlayStation player will now think three times about whether to take his PlayStation on the next vacation. Or at least whether to take better care of it.
What do you think? What did the PlayStation owner do with his console that triggered a bomb alert?
In League of Legends, a champion is going wild. The monster Rek’Sai can apparently bring any opponent down to such a low amount of health points due to a bug that she can kill them with the next hit. As a result, she can even take down the “Baron” alone in a matter of seconds, giving her team a huge advantage. Fans are storming on Tuesday, April 19th: Riot must disable the champion immediately.
What kind of bug is this? In recent days, a bug has been discovered in League of Legends that allows the champion Rek’Sai to deal enormous damage with a single blow, and that already at low levels.
As early as April 17th, videos were circulating on YouTube showing the bug in action:
Rek’Sai uses the ability “E” to tunnel to an opponent
But a bug ensures that everything at the tunnel’s exit is set to just 1 health point
So Rek’Sai only needs one more hit after the burial attack to finish off the opponent

The video shows that Rek’Sai can defeat the Baron in seconds.
Players demand that Riot immediately disables Rek’Sai
What makes the bug so severe? Through the bug, Rek’Sai can even defeat the Baron with one hit, which disrupts the entire balance. Normally, a kill of the Baron is a game-changing event that the whole team has to collaborate on: After the Baron kill, the team that dealt the final blow gains powerful bonuses.
Furthermore, Rek’Sai can already attack players surprisingly and relatively safely with “ganks” at low levels due to the bug. Because no one expects to drop so low in health points, such an attack creates a high shock effect: In LoL there’s “too much damage”, but not that much.
It is simply an unfair bug that completely ruins the game. Those confronted with it in rank are frustrated and pass on this frustration.

What are the players demanding? On Twitter, players are urging Riot Games to remove the entire champion from the game immediately and keep him disabled until the bug is fixed.
They keep sharing images and screenshots of players exploiting Rek’Sai’s current status as a “monster” to destroy the fun of the game for others.
LoL has so many champions that it often happens that Riot needs to disable individual champions:
Today, on April 19, the Spotlight Hour with Myrapla starts in Pokémon GO. We will show you everything about the start, shinies, and bonuses of the event.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour starts in Pokémon GO. For 60 minutes, a specific Pokémon is in focus, which the developers determine at the beginning of each month.
Today, you will encounter more Myrapla from the first generation during the event. It can evolve into Duflor and Giflor or Blubella. Additionally, there is a bonus that gives you more Stardust.
Spotlight Hour on April 19 with Myrapla – Content
When does it start? The Spotlight Hour starts today at the usual time of 6:00 PM local time. It will be active for one hour and ends at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? During the event time, you will encounter Myrapla in many places in the wild. If you want even more spawns, you can light a incense module during that time, which will primarily attract the event Pokémon.
Additionally, there is a bonus that gives you double Stardust for catching Pokémon. If you light a Star Piece, you can further increase your yield.
Can you catch Shiny Myrapla? Yes, the Pokémon is already available as shiny in the game. If you are very lucky, you might encounter a shiny specimen during the Spotlight Hour.
In the overview, we show you the normal forms (small) and the shinies (large)
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today?
How strong will it be: You can most likely use Giflor and Blubella, but the two perform at best in the middle range in PvP battles. Many trainers will participate in the event mainly for the Stardust bonus.
In raid battles, Myrapla and its evolutions are unfortunately not really worthwhile either. There are many stronger attackers.
So today, the Spotlight Hour is especially interesting if you want to collect Stardust. If you are lucky, you might secure a shiny. Will you participate in the event today? Let us know your opinion here on MeinMMO in the comments.
For fans of World of Warcraft, an important day has come. Today will decide how things continue in Azeroth in the coming years.
After long months of waiting, the day has finally arrived. The developers of World of Warcraft are hosting a stream to discuss the next expansion. But what is the focus of the now 9th expansion of WoW? What wishes and hopes do the fans have?
When does it start today? The reveal of the next expansion of World of Warcraft takes place today, on April 19, 2022, at 6:00 PM. Anyone who wants to watch live can catch the announcement either on YouTube or on Twitch and find out directly in the early evening how the future of WoW looks. You can watch it here:
Alternatively, we at MeinMMO will of course report promptly on the announcement and summarize all important information for you.
What wishes do the players have? Quite a few. As usual, the community of World of Warcraft is quite diverse, and the wishes and hopes vary widely. It is already clear that Blizzard cannot satisfy all players – as the ideas of the fans often contradict each other.
We launched a survey a few days ago and identified the biggest wishes of the players. The most eagerly anticipated features on MeinMMO were:
What is likely? All hints from the past weeks point to the announcement of the addon ‘Dragonflight’. The name was already mentioned in a leak several months ago. Back then, everyone dismissed the leak as a figment of imagination, but a few days ago this term also appeared in the code of the official World of Warcraft website. Along with some other hints, such as quests in the PTR of patch 9.2.5, mysterious back items and encrypted game content with animations that resemble dragons. This also included leaked promotional material showing Alexstrasza in new appearances.
So far, all of this information is still unconfirmed leaks.
Of course, it would be possible for Blizzard to surprise and come up with a completely different expansion – but the probability of a ‘Dragonflight’ is extremely high.
Will you watch the stream today? What do you expect from the new expansion?

The streamer Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris plans to host a tournament for the shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on his Twitch channel. We from MeinMMO summarize everything important regarding the start, participants, and rules.
Update from April 19: MontanaBlack announced that the tournament is being postponed “a little bit” as the setup on the Playstation 3 is more complicated than expected (via Twitter).
What kind of tournament is this? For several days, the largest German Twitch streamer MontanaBlack has been planning his shooter tournament on Twitter and has already established the following rules:
8 teams each with 4 players per team, led by 1 team leader.
A total of 3 rounds will take place:
Round 1: Best of 3 – A mix of Capture the Flag/Search and Destroy/Control
Round 2: Best of 3 – A mix of Capture the Flag/Search and Destroy/Control
Round 3: Best of 5 – A mix of Capture the Flag/Search and Destroy/Control
The team that wins 2 out of 3 modes in the first two rounds decides the round for themselves. In the 3rd round, at least three matches need to be won.
Is there a prize? Yes, there is. MontanaBlack announced that the winning team will be rewarded with about 7,000-10,000 Euros. The prize money is sponsored by his shop (via Twitter).
When does the tournament start? According to the streamer, it is set to start on April 17. However, he has not shared a specific time yet.
The 8 leaders of the various teams are also already known.
Cem “HapticRush” Gülken (YouTube) – 764,000 subscribers
Ahmad Nadim “ApoRed” Ahadi (Twitch) – 456,900 followers
Carsten “ELoTRiX” (Twitch) – 1.4 million followers
All 8 team leaders nominate their group members themselves and thus put the team together. However, it is still not known who will recruit which team members.
What does the community say? ELoTRiX is mainly regarded as the dark horse. He has been active in the shooter scene for over 10 years, and fans now believe that he will simply defeat the other teams as there are no serious competitors.
Nonetheless, most are looking forward to the upcoming tournament.
Yesterday afternoon, Sony once again sent email invitations to PSN users with the chance to purchase a PS5 console today. There is also a chance for everyone who did not receive an invitation.
Update: April 19, 11:00 AM: The allocation for the PS Direct sale sold out within 10 minutes. An open sale seems very unlikely at this point. Otherwise, a queue would have been opened by now.
Update: April 19, 08:10 AM: It has only been a week since the last PlayStation Direct event, and the next one is already starting. Today from 10:30 AM, PSN members with an invitation (which were sent yesterday via email) once again have the chance to buy a PS5 directly from Sony.
It will be exciting again to see if there will be an open sale for everyone this time. Unfortunately, this has not happened in the last two events.
Update: April 12, 12:20 PM: Currently, all indications suggest that there will again be no public sale at PlayStation Direct. We are keeping an eye on that for you, nonetheless.
Update: April 12, 10:50 AM: The PS5 sale from PlayStation Direct has just started. Now we will have to wait and see if an open sale takes place afterwards.
But this is not the only way to get a PS5 right now. To encourage pre-orders of the new Sony Bravia 4K OLED TVs, all pre-order customers will receive a PS5 console for free. Almost all major retailers and electronics stores in Germany are participating in this promotion.
[Original message]
The PS5 drop via Sony’s direct sales PlayStation Direct is set to start today on April 12, 2022, at 10:30 AM. There are a few important things to note:
You can only participate if you received an invitation via email from Sony yesterday afternoon. The address linked to the PSN account will be used. There is a personalized link to PlayStation Direct in the email.
To complete the purchase, you will need a credit card. Only Visa and MasterCard are accepted. So, have the required information ready or store it in your account in advance.
Even if you received an invitation, there is no guarantee that you will get a PS5. As with retailers, it is “first come, first served”. So be on time, as allocations are quickly sold out here as well.
Sony made direct PS5 sales available to everyone after a short time
What if you did not receive an official invitation? Except for the last PS5 drop from PlayStation Direct, there has been an “open sale” in the previous events afterward. This means that everyone gets the chance to buy a PS5 console. To avoid overloading the systems, a queue will be set up. Once it is your turn, you will receive an audible signal, and then you can place your order. You can access the sales page here: PlayStation 5 at PlayStation Direct
As soon as the sale starts and if there is an open sale, we will update this news.
Didn’t get a PS5? If you did not get a PS5, check out our ticker. Here we keep you updated daily and explain how to best get a PS5 and show you drops around the coveted console.
All Spotlight Hours with bonuses, Pokémon, and times in April 2022 at Pokémon GO. Four dates await you. We will show you when there are candies, XP, and stardust as rewards.
What are Spotlight Hours? These are mini-events that take place every Tuesday evening for one hour. From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time, you can participate and benefit from the bonuses. The event bonuses include:
Increased spawns of the event Pokémon, almost everywhere in the wild
A special bonus that gives you more XP, candies, or stardust
Here we show you the overview of all Spotlight Hours that are running in April 2022 at Pokémon GO.
All dates of the Spotlight Hours in April 2022
Mark the dates: In April, a total of four Spotlight Hours will start. The following Pokémon and bonuses are in focus:
Pokémon that you can find as Shiny are marked with a star (*)
Below we will go into each Spotlight Hour in more detail and show you the bonuses in detail and whether they are worth it.
Spotlight Hour on April 5
Which Pokémon? The first Spotlight Hour in April brings you the Pokémon Skunkapuh from the fourth generation. It belongs to the types Poison and Dark and can evolve into Skuntank.
What bonuses do you get? For sending Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of candies.
Who is this worth it for? Skunkapuh is not interesting in PvP or PvE. Its evolution Skuntank has a rank in the upper mid-range in the Super League and Hyper League. With its only real weakness against Ground Pokémon, it can take a lot against the rest.
You should use the Spotlight Hour with Skuntank mainly to tidy up your inventory at that time and benefit from the candy bonus.
Can you catch Shiny Skuntank? No, the shiny form of Skuntank is not yet unlocked. However, the “Team Rocket Excursion” event is running simultaneously, and trainers speculate that this might lead to the shiny form being released.
Spotlight Hour on April 12
Which Pokémon? The second Spotlight Hour in April brings you Scoppel from the sixth generation. It belongs to the Normal type and can evolve into Grebbit.
What bonuses do you get? For evolving Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of experience points.
Who is this worth it for? Scoppel has no use in PvE or PvP. However, its evolution Grebbit is quite strong in the Super League. With a moveset consisting of Mud Shot, Earthquake, and Flamethrower, it has good chances to perform well and can surprise with its fire attack.
The Spotlight Hour with Scoppel is worth it if you are still collecting XP for leveling up to level 50 and if you want a strong attacker with Ground attacks for the Super League.
Can you catch Shiny Scoppel? Yes, you can find and catch Shiny Scoppel in Pokémon GO.
Spotlight Hour on April 19
Which Pokémon? In the third Spotlight Hour in April, you will encounter Myrapla from the first generation. It belongs to the types Poison and Grass and can evolve into Duflor and Giflor or Blubella.
What bonuses do you get? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of stardust.
Who is this worth it for? You can ignore Myrapla in PvE and PvP. Duflor is okay in small cups and the Super League, but by no means good. Giflor is not particularly good in PvE but is easy to obtain. So it is a good Pokémon for beginners in Pokémon GO to build their collection. Similarly in PvP. In the Super League, Giflor can be used, but there are much better candidates.
Blubella is rather unimportant in raids. In the Super League, it plays in the lower mid-range, and in the Hyper League, it plays in the upper mid-range. There are better candidates.
Can you catch Shiny Myrapla? Yes, you can find and catch shiny Myrapla in Pokémon GO.
Which Pokémon? The last Spotlight Hour in April brings you Kinoso (Sun form) from the fourth generation. It belongs to the Grass type and is the evolution of Kikugi.
What bonuses do you get? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of experience points.
Who is this worth it for? You can safely ignore Kinoso as an attacker for raids. In PvP, it has exactly one area of application -> In the Super League. Here it plays in the upper mid-range, but has to face stronger Grass attackers. If you manage to hit the opponent with a surprise Solar Beam, your chances in the match are quite good.
Can you catch Shiny Kinoso? No, you cannot currently catch Shiny Kinoso in Pokémon GO.
In League of Legends, the German midlaner Felix “Abbedagge” Braun has just made an impression in the USA. He and his team, 100 Thieves, defeated the highly favored Team Liquid in the playoffs. In a post-match interview, however, he went a bit overboard. He said the forbidden word “Fuck” three times, much to the delight of the cheering crowd.
Who is this?
Felix Braun is a 22-year-old German. From 2018 to 2021, he had the honor (or misfortune) of playing for Schalke. He was regarded as a talent but faced several crises there. Ultimately, he was sold to the USA when Schalke was relegated from the Bundesliga and decided to sell his place in the LoL league to raise funds.
In 2022, however, things went only so-so in the regular season: the team finished third in the league, and in the playoffs, they were eliminated in round 2 against the heavily favored super team, “Team Liquid,” which had bought some of the best players in the West before the season.
Abbedagge decides playoff series with “Backdoor Play”
How did the game end? It was quite a crazy match:
At the beginning, everything went as planned. Team Liquid won the first 2 games easily with 16-2 and 18-8 kills. Abbedagge lost his midlane to star player Bjergsen hard with 0-5 and 1-7.
From match 3 on, however, the tide turned, and 100 Thieves won with 18-3 kills. Abbedagge played on Orianna with 6-1-10. That turned the game around.
The last two matches were won by the underdog 100 Thieves, clinching the match. The decisive final touch was provided by Abbedagge with a “Backdoor Play” – while everyone else was fighting against each other, the German slipped away and single-handedly secured the match.

The German decided the series as he sneaked “through the back door” and single-handedly took down the Nexus.
0-2 down, 3-2 win – The German suddenly has the upper hand
What happened afterward? In interviews after the game, the German midlaner suddenly seemed quite cheerful. He announced:
„I can’t imagine a more satisfying way to win than to totally suck it up 0-2 and then stomp them 3-0, especially against the team that thought it had the best roster in the league.”

What went wrong afterward? If it had stayed at the trash talk, everything would have been okay. But the German had talked himself into a rage and used the forbidden word “Fuck” three times:
Once when he explained the situation with the backdoor play. He asked himself: „What the fuck are they doing?” and then decided to plan the solo run – the audience laughed then.
Shortly after: After the second match, he went to the bathroom and just asked himself: „Fuck, what are we doing now?” – the audience roared again.
He said he had played the first two games anyway as “fucking shit” – thus completing the hat trick.

What is the problem? What sounds like “normal” gaming language is still a forbidden word in the USA and frowned upon in LoL broadcasts. After all, the game is rated for ages 13 and up. It is assumed that Riot will impose a heavy fine for the “triple fuck”. Speculation suggests several thousand dollars, which could cost the German the interview (via twitter):
Abbedagge also tweeted playfully: „Fuck, I could get a fine.”
But his boss, Nadeshot, immediately supported him: „We will cover the fines.”

Apparently, 100 Thieves is just glad that things are going so well at the moment.
Nadeshot seems to be quite a cool boss, anyway. After all, he was a professional gamer himself. He has understanding for a lot, but not for everything:
FromSoftware games are known among fans for revealing numerous removed content after release. Elden Ring is a goldmine for modders and dataminers due to its size, who find many things here. This includes a whole quest with its own game mechanics: “Mother Alcohol”.
What is this quest about?
The well-known dataminer Lance McDonald discovered a whole quest along with NPCs and various associated mechanics in the files of Elden Ring.
In this quest, you must search for a substance called “Sleep Mist” for the monk Jiko.
In exchange, you receive “Dreambrew”, which translates roughly to “Dream Brew”.
This mechanic allows you to extract further information from other NPCs through the drink in new dialogue lines.
Lance has restored the data he found and got it running in an earlier version of the PS4 version of Elden Ring. You can watch everything in the video here:

This is how the quest unfolds: Interestingly, the NPC is located in the hut where you find the NPC Roderika in the finished game. Roderika is a key character in Elden Ring, allowing you to improve spirits.
In the network test version of Elden Ring, instead of Roderika, the monk Jiko could be found. Like the other NPCs, he is an odd character who claims to have been seduced by the “Mother of Alcohol”.
Then he offers the “Dreambrew” drink when you bring him the right ingredients: Sleep Mist or Dream Mist.
Here, other NPCs come into play that no longer exist in Elden Ring. These are creatures like wolves or octopuses that lie sleeping around the area. Unlike usual, they do not wake up when you walk around them.
This is the monk Jiko.He hands you this item to collect Dream Mist. You can collect this from various enemies. The images are taken directly from the YouTube video.
If the quest is active, you can see the Dream Mist swirling around their heads. For one drink, you need 2 Dream Mists.
What does the drink bring? You can now hand this Dream Brew to other NPCs. The video shows how the merchant Kalé is an example.
As soon as he drinks the Dream Brew, he falls asleep. However, the subtitles of the game reveal a detail that suggests a dark secret of the NPC. This apparently worked similarly with many or possibly even all characters you can talk to.
Moreover, the concept of sleep and dreams plays a role in Elden Ring. Sleep is a status effect, and sleeping and dreaming has a direct connection to the demigod Miquella.
Interestingly, this aspect of the lore has hardly been addressed in the main game while modders and dataminers continue to compile cut content that is directly or indirectly related to Miquella. Therefore, players smell a potential topic for a possible DLC.
Mechanic was supposed to promote exploration, many cut dialogues still hidden
This is what the dataminer says about the quest and its mechanics: According to Lance, the quest was likely intended as a means to reward players for exploration.
After all, with each dream, you should uncover more information about the characters of the Lands Between. The game files of Elden Ring still contain many dialogue lines that were removed from the actual game.
The monk Jiko was probably meant to have a much larger role in the main story of Elden Ring. Why FromSoftware decided to remove all this remains speculation.
Lance also suspects that they may have kept these contents for a later date. Speculation has been rife about possible DLCs since release, and with every new revelation of “cut content” by modders and dataminers, these speculations are fueled.

Everything you need to know about Elden Ring – in 2 minutes
Fun fact: A mechanic for extracting further story details from NPCs through an alcoholic beverage already existed in a previous FromSoftware game.
The last title before Elden Ring, Sekiro, had precisely such a mechanic. You could find various types of sake in the game world and offer them as gifts to certain NPCs.
This led to further conversations in which the characters revealed insights into their thoughts and backgrounds or even gave useful tips.
Housing, talents, less Sylvanas – what do players really want from World of Warcraft? You answered, and here are the results.
The next expansion of World of Warcraft will be presented next week. While all signs point to “Dragonflight,” there is a buzz in the community. What does an expansion need to achieve in order to recover WoW from Shadowlands? Which features are particularly important?
In a survey, we wanted to know this from you a few days ago, and you participated enthusiastically. Almost 1,500 of you voted and could select up to 3 points that are particularly relevant for them. We want to briefly mention the most popular of these features to show what the community really wishes for – and what, apparently, is not that relevant.
More freedom, more account-wide unlocks
The absolute top spot is held with 10% and 423 votes for the point “More account-wide unlocks.”
Account-wide unlocks or rather the lack of such things are often a significant barrier to switching from one character to another. Those who have lost interest in their Mage after months and want to experience the current endgame as a Paladin often have to struggle through countless tasks. Grinding reputation with factions again, playing through the campaign again, and developing all those small features that shape the character again and again.
Account-wide unlocks would ensure that this effort is minimized. Patch 9.2 was already a good step in the right direction. Many contents are unlocked here for all characters after the initial playthrough. Blizzard needs to expand this so that the disadvantages become smaller and smaller.
Player housing: The unexpectedly big wish
In second place with 9% and a total of 407 votes is the wish for “player housing.”
It was somewhat unexpected that “player housing” landed in second place. Apparently, the longing for a small home in Azeroth, which one can say: “This is the place where my character belongs,” is significantly greater than assumed. However, it is not entirely surprising – many other MMORPGs demonstrate how great housing as a complete “side feature” can be.
Final Fantasy XIV, WildStar, and many other MMORPGs have shown how much love, detail, and passion players can put into their own MMO house. Of course, this would also be a blessing for role players. Maybe this dream will come true soon – and not just in the form of a rather disappointing garrison.
A small home in WoW – many players have wished for this for a very long time.
New classes for more variety
Close behind, with also 9% and 396 votes, is the wish for new playable classes.
Whenever World of Warcraft has introduced a new class, it has been the flagship of the expansion. The Death Knight in “Wrath of the Lich King”, the Monk in “Mists of Pandaria”, and the Demon Hunter in “Legion” brought completely new playstyles, and even the long-time WoW fans had something new to do. This always came along with an exciting new class story, which, while limited to a starting area, was nonetheless very cool.
PvE content – But please something entirely new
Somewhat trailing behind (7%) with 286 votes is the hope that there will be new, fresh PvE content.
Even if it is hard for some to accept – at its core, World of Warcraft is a PvE game, and it always has been. PvE content is in many cases better thought out than PvP; dungeons and raids generally have a higher participation than battlegrounds. However, after nearly 17 years, the known concepts feel a bit worn out.
While dungeons and raids always feature new, interesting boss fights, the fundamental approach changes little. With Battle for Azeroth, Blizzard tried to introduce a new feature in PvE with the Warfronts – and failed. Many wished that the developers would once again prove their creativity to create something new.
New talents for all classes
In fifth place (6%) with 266 votes is the wish for entirely new talents.
Talents are probably the oldest customization option for characters in World of Warcraft. Although the talent system has changed drastically over the years, talents are still very important today. Almost always, talents bring huge passive effects or entirely new spells and abilities that other players would have to forego. Talents allow players to significantly adjust a class’s playstyle even within a specialization. More of this is always good – hence the wish is also quite popular.
More talents for all classes – a big wish.
Places 5 – 10 – Many small wishes
Places 6 to 10 go by in a flash – they are all quite close together:
Place 6: Overhaul of the “old world” (6%, 241 votes)
Place 7: More established PvE content (dungeons, raids) (5%, 225 votes)
Place 8: Simpler story in Azeroth, without cosmic threats (5%, 225 votes)
What you couldn’t care less about – newbie help and Sylvanas
Lastly, let’s take a quick look at the options that hardly anyone cared about. Only a very small fraction of the votes went to the last 3 points.
In third to last place, and therefore quite unpopular, is the wish for a new match feature like covenants, Azerite powers, or artifact weapons with 36 votes (1%).
These so-called “borrowed power” systems, i.e., borrowed power that one gives back at the end of an expansion, have a bad reputation. However, it seems for many that this is not as big of a thorn in their side as assumed. As long as a system is well-made and brings exciting gameplay, many players seem to be able to live with parting from this power.
Similarly, the aversion against Sylvanas is reportedly less drastic than expected. Only 1% (35 votes) consider it important that the Banshee Queen no longer appears.
Sylvanas is unpopular – but in fact, it doesn’t seem to be that important to you. She can stay.
This also illustrates a well-known phenomenon in the WoW community, namely that of the “loud minority.” If you look in different forums or also in the comment section on MeinMMO, you will repeatedly read comments from players who simply don’t want Sylvanas anymore and wish that she would not appear anymore from now on. This appears through the vehemence of the comments to be a demand from a large part of the community – but on MeinMMO it only represents nearly 1% of the players. The Banshee Queen can therefore stay.
Absolutely no relevance, however, seem to be innovations for newcomers, such as improved tutorials or a simpler entry. Only 6 votes were cast for this point – a vanishingly small percentage, far below the 1% threshold. But that is probably understandable. Whoever talks about a new expansion is probably already deeply invested in World of Warcraft and considers aids for newcomers to be relatively unimportant.
Did you expect this result? Which point surprised you the most?
After all: Tomorrow, on 19.04.2022 at 18:00, Blizzard will unveil the new expansion. We will, of course, report on it.

The Twitch streamer MsKenner (Destiny 2) says she is in serious trouble: She had a wealthy benefactor, allegedly a rockstar, who donated large sums to her repeatedly for a long time. But this is now turning into a big problem. The millionaire wants his money back after the streamer did not want to get involved with him. However, the streamer switches to rage mode and says: He has chosen the wrong person. She is not a pushover, she will fight.
Who is MsKenner on Twitch?
MsKenner is a passionate player of Destiny 2 and streams on Twitch. Last year, she mainly showcased Bungie’s shooter: she accumulated 1,140 hours. She is on air about 20 hours a week with Destiny 2 – she calls herself a “full-time streamer.”
MsKenner is a mid-sized streamer. When she goes live, she has an average of nearly 200 viewers. Destiny 2 is not a huge hit on Twitch – she ranks 37th worldwide among Destiny 2 streamers, with the big names at the top: The PvP junkie GernaderJake, the terribly bearded Gladd and the clever guy and perpetual unlucky Datto.
In March 2021, MsKenner was also featured in the community spotlight by Bungie: She said her name is Jessica, she is married, has 2 children, lives in Louisiana, and loves bananas. She also sings all day – sounds like a carefree life (via bungie). At least until recently.
Millionaire kept sending her “crazy amounts” of money
What is her situation? The streamer says on Twitter:
For a long time, there was a person in her Twitch chat who continuously gave her gifts. It was just insane. He had sent her an extreme amount of money through PayPal, Twitch, and other platforms.
Allegedly, this was a millionaire, and it would have been easy to find out through Google that he was a figure in the music industry, a kind of rockstar. However, she does not want to reveal the man’s name to avoid provoking him further.
The streamer was naïve and thought she was just incredibly lucky with this fan.
MsKenner, as her fans know her: with her favorite game Destiny 2. She reacts to a cutscene:

Benefactor turns into “dangerous psycho”, wants money back, threatens with “doxxing”
What went wrong? One day, the wealthy benefactor declared that he had a “romantic interest” in her. She rejected him and turned him down. In response, he basically said:
“That was a lot of money I sent you. You knew I was infatuated with you. You lied to me – now I want everything back.”
After that, the benefactor started to dispute his PayPal transactions, which plunged the streamer into thousands of dollars in debt.
She says she is now constantly fighting against him. The donor submits his disputes for past transactions every Friday, which emotionally burdens her throughout the weekend, and she can only file objections to the chargebacks on Monday. However, these objections are usually futile because the money came via “Family & Friends” and PayPal often decides in favor of the donor.
The streamer says:
This has been going on for months – now the donor has also started reversing donations via Twitch.
Her income on Twitch is now negative – she doesn’t even know how many disputes are still to come and whether Twitch will ever decide in her favor.
She is now wondering how long she will have to get by “without a check from Twitch.”
The alleged benefactor is going further and has threatened to accuse her of “romantic fraud” if she does not repay him $5,000. He accuses her of having taken the money knowing that he was infatuated with her. She deceived him and hence committed a crime.
She mentioned that the man said he would use all his power to destroy her name and brand and ultimately have her banned from Twitch. Her biggest fear at the moment is that the man will post her data and personal information online, he would “dox” her.
He likely obtained the info through a lawyer or figured it out himself. In any case, it scares her. If he makes the information public, she wants to sue him “with all means”: The man has already threatened to “leak” her information if she does not meet his demands.
In her eyes, the man is simply a dangerous psycho.
“I am not a pushover and I am not weak!”
This is how she wants to defend herself: MsKenner says:
“If you want to play, then we can play. I will not just give up. I will not let myself be used. You have taken from me and from my children, and as a mother, I have unlocked a side of me that you do not want to see. You will not get away with this. Stop now and disappear somewhere far away from me and my community, I am not a pushover and I am not weak. You have severely underestimated my ability!”
She ends her post with the warning that what happened to her can happen to anyone on Twitch:
“My advice is: If something looks too good to be true – then it is not true. Don’t let yourselves be taken for a ride.”
What is happening there is truly a problem with donations via Twitch:
Verdansk is the first map that CoD Warzone launched with 2 years ago. This is now apparently set to return, as the developers confirmed in a livestream. However, the wording makes fans wonder who will be able to play the “new, old map.”
What kind of map is this? Verdansk was the first map of CoD Warzone with which it all started in 2020. There are two variants, one is set in our time, later the map was revised with an update to reflect the year 1984.
The map was very popular among players. Then came the big Pacific update and Verdansk was replaced by the new island map Caldera. This has met with a rather difficult reception among fans and many felt it was not CoD, the game was in a disastrous state, despite – for some because of – the massive update in a catastrophic state.
Now an announcement has made many hopeful: The map missed by players, Verdansk, is set to return in 2023. However, fans have already discovered a possible catch. Because it is possible that Verdansk may not come to consoles and PC.
But first, let’s summarize what the developers have actually said. The clip was also shared on reddit, the original has since been removed:

Verdansk is returning, but only on “certain platforms”
What we learn: The short clip shows the developers’ statement that Verdansk will return to Call of Duty in 2022. At first glance, this sounds straightforward: the popular map, missed by many fans, is set to return. A great thing.
However, players have read “the fine print” from the statement. It literally says: “Verdansk will return in 2023 on certain platforms.”
Some players already suspect: This may not mean consoles or PC, but mobile platforms. Because with CoD Warzone Mobile, a mobile version was confirmed on March 10 for iOS and Android.

Therefore, fans are now speculating: With the announcement of Verdansk’s return and the wording, the unannounced mobile version of CoD Warzone is actually meant.
Other players suspect that with the release of CoD Warzone 2, Verdansk could return on the old-gen consoles.

Will CoD Warzone Mobile come in 2023 with Verdansk?
What speaks for CoD Warzone Mobile: The theory is supported by leaks that circulated in mid-March. This revealed CoD Warzone Mobile before the official announcement. Furthermore, the leak mentioned that Verdansk is to be included in a new form in the mobile version.
As the leak has otherwise been confirmed, the information regarding Verdansk could also be correct. If this is true, a release of the mobile version before 2023 seems unlikely. The artwork in the tweet linked above also resembles Verdansk.
Many hope, however, that the beloved map will somehow return to consoles and PC.
What do players say about the theories? In the comments under the reddit post, many hope that Verdansk will not just appear on Android and iOS. They dislike the Caldera map and miss the old map.
That CoD Warzone Mobile is coming seems almost certain to most. And some players seem very excited about it, as for example noob_music_producer writes: “I will be a full-time mobile gamer when they bring the old Verdansk stuff and the crisp gunplay to mobile.”
RevengeFeelsSweet is sure: “Mobile will have a great future.” However, many commentators would prefer if Verdansk would return on PS4 and Xbox One. They would like to see Verdansk playable again on consoles.
What do you think? Would you be happy about a return of Verdansk on consoles? Or would a mobile version of CoD Warzone interest you as well?
Many professionals play first-person shooters on low settings and consciously forgo graphical splendor. MeinMMO explains to you why this is the case and why you should try it too.
Grass gently swaying in the wind, powerful explosions or detailed faces that look almost lifelike: All of this looks great to us, and many users can’t get enough of it. For some gamers, the rule is: the prettier the game, the better, and many are looking forward to the most beautiful upcoming MMORPGs.
But most professionals do without all these fine details that many games have to offer. At least when it comes to shooters. But why do many consciously forgo this and prefer to play on low settings? MeinMMO explains what lies behind it.
Graphical highlights only distract professionals
Why do professionals forgo pretty graphics? For professionals, these graphical details provide no advantage and also have no practical value. Grass can block the view, and a low visibility range makes it so that professionals see opponents much later.
Professionals primarily focus on high performance and a stable frame rate. Because a high frame rate is particularly important in games where you need to react quickly to opponents.
Why is frame rate so important? The higher your frame rate, the faster you can see your opponent and the smoother the game feels. You can see how significant this effect is in the following YouTube video:

You feel the difference most between 60 and 144 FPS. While movements at 60 FPS look almost choppy, movements at 144 FPS appear much smoother and less mechanical. And you can hit opponents much better. However, if you want to benefit from high frame rates, you also need a good, high-performance monitor that can display high frame rates.
What else plays a role? In shooters, hitboxes matter. These are the areas you must hit on the opponent to deal damage. Hitboxes remain the same at high and low settings.
Powerful explosions or other graphical effects can, however, obscure the hitboxes so that you see the opponent much too late. Many professionals therefore forgo pretty graphical effects.
CS:GO professional “Device” also leaves out many settings, avoiding anti-aliasing or high-resolution shadows (via prosettings.com).
The well-known CoD player Nickmercs also avoids extensive shadow rendering or post-processing effects in his settings (via prosettings.com).
Do all professionals play on low details? No, there are also streamers who play with full details. For example, the well-known Twitch streamer Ninja plays Apex Legends at maximum details (via prosettings.com).
High graphics settings provide no gameplay advantage
What does pretty graphics bring? If you play a competitive game like a fast first-person shooter, pretty graphics provide you no advantage over your opponents. Powerful explosions or nice representations serve only aesthetics and offer you no gameplay advantage.
In fact, in the worst case, it is usually the opposite: If you play on maximum settings, your frame rate may drop depending on your hardware. And then you have disadvantages compared to users who can play with a significantly higher frame rate.
Therefore, always check how smoothly your game runs when playing. A good indicator can be the minimum requirements of the game. If you want to get more FPS out of your game, it’s always worth adjusting graphics settings.
If you already have a good gaming monitor and have maximized your graphics settings, you can also provide yourself with new equipment elsewhere. For example, you can check our recommendations for gaming mice. Here we recommend a suitable gaming mouse for every type of player:
The story of Elden Ring is extensive and complicated. Instead of countless cutscenes, directly guided dialogues, and a clear plot, you have to largely rely on yourself and piece together the fragments of the story. We at MeinMMO provide you with a brief overview of the main story.
The story of Elden Ring is steeped in betrayal, wars, and death. This mixes with the somewhat eccentric style for which the dark fantasy worlds of FromSoftware are known.
However, overall, the game world is more interested in hiding its secrets from you than in presenting everything simply. Unlike in The Witcher or Assassin’s Creed, there is no movie-like story presentation.
We are trying to summarize the backstory of Elden Ring as briefly as possible and why you do what you do. Keep in mind that many plot lines run much deeper and are further explained in the game. In this article, we have focused on the most important part.
Spoiler alert: We have marked major spoilers, but there are individual pieces of information in the text that you might not necessarily know at the start.

New trailer provides insight into the story of Elden Ring, the most anticipated RPG at present
The Lands Between and the Creation of the Elden Rings
What is the Lands Between? The game world is called the Lands Between. Where it is located and how old the Lands Between is, is not exactly known. What is certain: The Lands Between is older than the Elden Ring and the Erdtree, which rises golden into the sky. But where do these come from?
What is the Elden Ring and where does it come from? At first, we do not know. The Greater Will is responsible for the creation of the Elden Ring. It is a type of deity.
Spoilers if you want to know the exact origin already
The origin of this mysterious deity is not in the Lands Between – not even on the supposed planet where this world is set.
The Greater Will sent a “Golden Star” into the Lands Between. This star contained something that is essential for the main story of Elden Ring and out of which the Elden Ring is formed, but also represents a spoiler for the ending:
Warning, comprehensive spoiler!
With the star came the Elden Beast into the Lands Between. This is the final boss that you must confront after defeating Radagon.
This beast is the living incarnation of the Greater Will and is somewhat the vessel for the “will” of the deity.
What fell into the Lands Between with this star eventually became the Elden Ring. It was also forged from several powerful runes.
Each of these runes represents a kind of “law” that the world follows. These include concepts such as death itself, represented by the Death Rune. Thus, the ring has power over the all-determining laws that hold the Lands Between together.
The Elden Ring was kept where the roots of the Erdtree would later grow, beneath the royal capital Lyndell. The tree only came into being through the Elden Ring, and the city was built on its roots. Tradition says that life originated from the roots of this tree.
The mighty Erdtree towers over the Lands Between.
But if you have been paying attention, you will notice that this cannot be. Because life in the Lands Between already existed before the arrival of the Greater Will and the creation of the Erdtree.
The inhabitants of the Lands Between were not exactly thrilled with the takeover of the Greater Will and initially resisted.
After the creation of the Erdtree and the Elden Ring, there were numerous large conflicts. Until finally, the Two Fingers and the Golden Order, which stand for the Greater Will, were able to take control.
The Rule of the Golden Order and the Two Fingers
The Greater Will needed more than a tree and the Elden Ring to establish its power in the Lands Between. It itself cannot directly interact in physical form. This is where Queen Marika, the Eternal, and the “Two Fingers” come into play; unusual creatures that look like a giant hand with only two fingers.
The Two Fingers are the only ones capable of communicating with the Greater Will. To interpret the “words” of the mute Two Fingers, the so-called Finger Readers are necessary.
These can translate the instructions of the Greater Will through the Two Fingers and thus became mouthpieces, nearly prophets. Marika was recognized as “Empyrean.” These are beings chosen by the Two Fingers and thus by the Greater Will.
Thus, she became the bearer of the Elden Ring, a kind of goddess and earthly representative of the Greater Will. She founded the Golden Order.
One of the few pictures that can be found of Marika.
Empyreans are not necessarily blessed. Throughout the game, you will encounter several of them.
The Golden Order acted ruthlessly against anyone who did not submit to the Erdtree and the Greater Will. Now began the era of the Golden Order, and the Lands Between was to receive its first Elden Lord.
The First Elden Lord and the Birth of the Demigods
Queen Marika and the Golden Order ruled ruthlessly and fought militarily against the enemies of the Erdtree.
There were four major conflicts:
The war against the giants who possessed a flame that could burn the Erdtree.
The war against the dragons that could kill gods with their magic.
The war against the magical academy of Raya Lucaria with its moon queen Renalla and its brave knights, united with the scholars of magic.
Godrick, the Storm King, rebelled against the Golden Order and sought power.
Marika needed a field commander, a king, and a prince who could enforce her will. Here came Hoarah Loux, or Godfrey, into play, the first Elden Lord of the Lands Between and also Marika’s first husband. He was able to gradually defeat all enemies.
This is Godfrey, the first Elden Lord.
The war against Raya Lucaria, however, was decided by Lord Radagon. He led the armies of the Golden Order against the academy, but by a miracle, the moon queen and he fell in love with each other.
Through the marriage, peace could reign between the academy and the Golden Order, at least temporarily.
Godfrey and Marika also had 3 children together, the first Demigods who you may also encounter in the game: Godwyn, Morgott, and Mogh.
MorgottMohgGodwyn
Radagon and Rennala also had 3 children who are important to the story: Ranni, Radahn, and Rykard.
The Exile of the Prince, the First Tarnished, and the Destruction of the Elden Ring
The exact background is unclear, but at some point, Elden Lord Godfrey was expelled by Marika and deprived of her grace, so he was no longer favored by the Greater Will.
Marika took away Godfrey’s honor and sent the “betrayed tarnished” warrior with his followers into exile. Godfrey thus became the first Tarnished and his followers are those who had to leave the land.
Every living being that loses grace and thus is no longer accessible to signs of the Erdtree, is considered lost in the world of Elden Ring, as a living dead. Many of Godfrey’s followers also lost their grace and left the Lands Between. Until they are called back by the Erdtree, they should never return.
Marika soon found a new husband, and he was none other than Radagon, who was actually married to the moon queen Rennala. The exact background is complicated and not clear.
Radagon simply abandoned Rennala according to the tradition, leaving her devastated and broken in her library. This also led to the civil war in the academy of Raya Lucaria, as the queen showed no more interest in ruling.
Marika and Radagon had two children together during their mysterious marriage, Miquella and Malenia. Due to the circumstances of their parents, both demigods are cursed, it is said. Miquella bears the curse of eternal childhood, while Malenia bears the eternal scarlet rot within her. Both were also chosen and revered as Empyreans.
Spoilers
Whoever uncovers the secret of a statue in Leyndell learns that Radagon and Marika are the same person. It is unclear whether they were one and the same person from the beginning, or whether Radagon became Marika later. There are still some open questions to clarify. These circumstances are said to be the reason for the curses of their children.
It is also the betrayal of their mother that leads Ranni to her quest for revenge. She also stole a fragment of the Rune of Death and ordered the assassination of Marika’s son Godwyn. Rumors say that Marika herself might be behind this plot.
These events and the betrayal of Rennala led to the first death of a demigod. Godwyn, the Golden, was killed by assassins of the black blade.
Shortly after the death of her son, Marika destroyed the Elden Ring. Radagon tried in vain to repair it. Queen Marika and Radagon vanished without a trace that day, and the Erdtree has remained closed ever since.
The War of the Demigods Over the Great Runes
After the destruction of the Elden Ring, the world did not immediately collapse as one might assume. Much more time likely passed until the events in Elden Ring.
For now, a loose order remained in place, and thus the great towers were built that stand in the center of the Lands Between, around the ocean.
But Marika left a huge power vacuum, which soon fueled the war over the Great Runes. This war was called “The Shattering.” The demigods fought over the runes and seized their power. However, no new Elden Lord emerged from the conflict.
The combatants withdrew to their respective nests and each brooded over their own madness. Thus, the land vegetated for a long time until the day when you as a Tarnished regained your grace and return. It is up to you what you do with this world. Will you become the next Elden Lord or Lady? Or will you break with the order?
Here we are through with the backstory. If you want more background on Elden Ring’s story, we recommend this video from lore expert VaatiVidya, which explains many connections in more detail:

This is how the story continues: Your goal as a Tarnished is to find the necessary Great Runes and piece the Elden Ring back together. Thus, the Golden Order shall bloom again, at least if it is up to the Two Fingers.
However, you will quickly realize that none of the possible paths should be taken lightly and that your actions may affect your potential ending.
On the way to your goal, the Erdtree, you must collect several Great Runes and burn the roots to enter and take the Elden Ring for yourself. In doing so, you will also confront the mad demigods.
Or you make another choice and may be surprised by another ending. What endings there are and how they differ, we have covered in another article for you:
In World of Warcraft there’s a lot to do. But some quests are so annoying that we sometimes have nightmares about them. Here are our top 5 most annoying WoW quests.
World of Warcraft is full of quests. In 8 expansions, many tasks have piled up, and especially for new players, there are thousands of missions to complete. While many of us have fond memories of some quests, there are also plenty of missions that cause frustration.
Here we want to introduce you to 5 of the definitely most annoying quests in the history of World of Warcraft – perhaps you’ve already suppressed the memory of them.
Note: The article originally dates back to 2020; we updated it again for Easter 2022.
Rank 5: Beachhead
Beachhead was only introduced with Battle for Azeroth but quickly secured a place on this list. Because the quest not only appears frequently, but it is also extremely annoying.
What makes the quest so annoying? The quest is simply boring because all the action plays out slowly. Sure, turtles move slowly, that’s logical. But even the attacking seagulls and crabs move in slow motion, making you feel like you’re playing chicken in the toddler edition.
One of the most tedious quests ever.
Since Beachhead is one of the few world quests for the Tortollans, you encounter it again … and again … and again. But hey, at least we always get to hear the popular saying “A turtle made it to the water!”
Rank 4: City of Light
Those who reach the city of Shattrath in “The Burning Crusade” were certainly overwhelmed by the sight of the Naaru and a meeting with Khadgar the first time. However, the joy fades quickly. Because the first quest is “City of Light.” Here you have to follow an elemental that explains everything to you in Shattrath.
The infamous “City of Light” – a long quest that many simply won’t do.
What makes the quest so annoying? The sheer amount of time required. The quest takes 8:30 minutes from start to finish. However, during this time, you don’t have to do anything exciting – you simply follow an NPC through the city, who explains to you at length the various factions and neighborhoods of the city. Meanwhile, the quest mob moves at a snail’s pace, which leads to quick frustration. If you do get bored and tab out of the game, that’s a big problem. Because if you stray too far from the mob, it despawns, and you have to accept the quest again.
Story passages in WoW can be interesting and engaging – but that wasn’t the case here. This is mainly because the quest is not voiced, and you have to read all the text in the chat window.
Some of the best quest lines we’ve introduced you to here:
Rank 3: The Green Hills of Stranglethorn (Classic)
Of course, the Green Hills of Stranglethorn cannot be missed in this list. This is a quest available in WoW: Classic and was located in Stranglethorn Vale. The quest required you to complete the book “The Green Hills of Stranglethorn” and find the missing pages. These can drop from almost all enemies throughout the vale.
What makes this quest so annoying? The annoyance factor of this quest lies in several points. Firstly, you have to find an extremely large number of different pages. Secondly, you are not protected from receiving duplicate pages. It is possible for pages to end up in your inventory 3 or 4 times. Additionally, each page takes up its own inventory slot. At that time in WoW: Classic, your bags were still relatively small, which became a significant problem.
Today, the quest giver only wants one page – fortunately!
At least you could sell the pages at the auction house and also buy missing pages there. However, it was usually not worth the effort. If you took the time and simply killed a dozen or two enemies, you would usually make the same progress.
Fortunately, this quest line was drastically simplified with the overhaul in Cataclysm. Now you only need to find a single page, because adventurers had already completed the book beforehand – making it much more pleasant.
Anyone wanting to experience this cursed mission again can currently do so in WoW: Classic and pursue the collecting passion for book pages.
In a similar direction to “City of Light” is also “The Caverns of Time.” This is a quest you get in Tanaris in the Caverns of Time. Again, you are supposed to follow an NPC through the caverns, who explains to you the various instance entrances in order and provides some background story.
What makes the quest so annoying? The NPC you follow is extremely slow. Furthermore, the lady does not move in a straight line to her next destination but sometimes seems to lose her pathfinding. So she sometimes moves in a “zigzag” or just stops in front of trees, only to go in another direction a few seconds later. The entire mission takes nearly 11 minutes. As if that weren’t bad enough, the area is also a PvP area – if you are blown away by an enemy on the very long way, you have to start the quest all over again.

The video shows the entire quest in fast forward – with all the issues.
Here too, the story passages of the quests could have been spiced up with a few fights – but they weren’t. This makes this mission very monotonous and brings it almost to the top of the most annoying quests.
Rank 1: Dragonmaw Race: Captain Skyshatter
The Dragonmaw races are a special quest line that took place around the unlocking of the Netherwing. Although they are optional, they offer a huge chunk of reputation for the Netherwing. In them, you have to race on a flying mount and defeat NPCs. Captain Skyshatter is the last opponent and is considered particularly challenging.
Captain Skyshatter – an evil opponent who was really annoying. Image source: wowhead
What makes the quest so annoying? This quest had several factors that made it extremely annoying. The goal is to follow Captain Skyshatter closely on his flight. If the distance between the character and Captain Skyshatter exceeds 15 meters, the quest automatically fails. The captain fires small meteors behind him every few seconds, which push your character back and throw you off your mount. A single hit means a defeat.
Particularly annoying was that with a latency over about 100, which was still normal during “The Burning Crusade” times, the meteors could hit before you, as a player, could see them.
Lastly, the quest was annoying because only one player could accept it at a time. Often, a whole line of players formed waiting to face Captain Skyshatter.
What a correct run of the quest looked like, you can see here:

Looks easy, but was really hard – Captain Skyshatter.
However, it must be said that the quest has been significantly easier since Patch 3.3, as “knockback” effects no longer throw your character off the mount. This also makes this quest easier than it was back in the days of “The Burning Crusade”.
Nevertheless, it has triggered smaller and larger traumas in many players. A well-deserved rank 1 for a quest that many players at that time nervously threw out of their quest log. Again and again.
After a “Twitch Rivals” tournament for Rust was canceled early, North American streamers including DisguisedToast, shroud, and xQc received over €92,000 in prize money. However, xQc had strong words for his Spanish competitors – and is now defending himself against accusations of racism.
What happened in the tournament? On April 14, one of the largest “Twitch Rivals” tournaments took place. In a Rust match that was supposed to be played over 3 days, two teams faced off:
Team DisguisedToast, with North American streamers.
Team Alexby11, with streamers from Latin America and Spain.
The two teams were supposed to gather resources and engage in an intense duel for the bases as a grand finale. However, the grand finale never occurred, as the tournament was canceled early.
You can read the full story about the cancellation of the tournament here:
Spanish streamers complained about unfair time zones and disrespectful behavior from the North Americans, prompting Félix “xQc” Lengyel to respond with strong words. The Canadian streamer called the opponents from the Spanish-speaking team “softies” and “Soy Boys,” who would prefer to “cry” rather than play.
Shortly after, the tournament was canceled and Team DisguisedToast was declared the winner. However, xQc’s behavior was not well received by all. His opponents accused him of racist behavior during the tournament.
Streamer says in heated discussion: “xQc, you are the most racist guy“
How did the accusations arise? To further extend their lead in the tournament and gather more loot, players from Team DisguisedToast spin the wheel of fortune in Rust. Meanwhile, a heated discussion arises between xQc and players from the opposing team in the text chat.
You can see the exchange in the video:

Twitch Rivals itself also wants to learn from this debacle. On Twitter, they announced that they would organize future tournaments differently:
“We have heard the feedback from the community and will formulate the rules more clearly in the future to avoid confusion, reevaluate the format, and reconsider the scheduling of global events.”
Even Amouranth, one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, has reconsidered her future plans. Her time as an e-girl is over – even though she earned a lot with it:
The Canadian streamer pauses for a moment, writes a message in the chat, and receives support from his team. Then he also verbally retaliates:
The guy is losing his damn mind. He’s so screwed up that the screws are falling out of his pockets. What the hell?
xQc
The chat escalates further as xQc and colleagues prepare for a raid that ultimately will not happen.
After further altercations, threats from the Spaniards to withdraw from the tournament, and an overall very tense atmosphere, the tournament was ended prematurely.
“Get a job” hits Spanish people hard due to the economic crisis
Why is xQc’s statement perceived as “racist”? xQc said that the Spaniards should “get a job.” That was surely meant as trash talk. However, in recent years, Spain has faced high unemployment rates, especially among young people.
We’re talking about a “Generation C,” a Corona generation that is considered a lost generation (via faz): First came the economic crisis, then the pandemic. Young Spaniards are well educated but can only find temporary contracts:
The Tagesschau reports on 30-year-old academics who still live with their parents because there are practically no job openings in their field.
The Tagesschau states that at the beginning of the pandemic, 53% of Spaniards under 35 were laid off (via tagesschau)
Youth unemployment was still over 30% in 2021.
xQc hit a nerve with his “joke” for many Spaniards who cannot simply “find another job”.
On reddit, people are defending xQc: He surely has no idea about the unemployment rate in Spain.
What happens next? Even after the tournament, the hostilities continued. Alexby11, the captain of the Spanish team, listed several issues with the tournament, the incidents, and his opponents in a lengthy Twitter thread:
So the Spaniards had to play on “THEIR” servers – which is something the Americans would never consider for themselves
He lists many minor complaints – time and again, the Americans gained advantages, and the Spaniards had to catch up to not fall too far behind in points – but they found the rules favored the other side
The Americans were deemed ruthless and did not understand what the situation was for Europeans when the Americans could just turn rules on and off at will. The Americans did not even know that there were other languages besides their own and that there were people playing on the other side of the ocean – many didn’t even know what an ocean is
And yes, he writes in Spanish because that is his mother tongue: “If you don’t understand my tweets, just hit translate, you idiots” he ends nicely
xQc responded to this with a sarcastic gif, showing how little he cared about these complaints:

Twitch Rivals itself also wants to learn from this debacle. On Twitter, they announced that they would organize future tournaments differently:
“We have heard the feedback from the community and will formulate the rules more clearly in the future to avoid confusion, reevaluate the format, and reconsider the scheduling of global events.”
Even Amouranth, one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, has reconsidered her future plans. Her time as an e-girl is over – even though she earned a lot with it:

Halo Infinite is the big shooter from Microsoft. However, after the initial hype, it is losing more and more players on Steam and Xbox. Now insiders say: In 2022, Halo Infinite will get a Battle Royale – and it is said to be as big as CoD Warzone.
After the initial hype, Halo Infinite has become very quiet – except when it is mentioned as a scapegoat for Battlefield 2042, hardly anyone talks about the new Halo.
Since the surprising release in November 2021, there have been no significant content updates, making it even clearer how few maps and game modes the shooter actually has.
With Season 2 starting on May 3, developer 343 Industries aims to address the issue with 2 new maps. However, insiders say: a Battle Royale is still coming, and possibly this year.
Here you can see the trailer for Season 2 of Halo Infinite, titled “Lone Wolves”:

“Special” Battle Royale is supposed to come in 2022 – and be as big as CoD Warzone
As officially announced this week, the developer studio Certain Affinity is set to take on a larger role in Halo Infinite. With a better partnership between 343 Industries and Certain Affinity, “Halo Infinite will evolve in new and exciting ways”.

What do the insiders say? The trusted insider Jez Corden reports that with this partnership a new Battle Royale mode is coming to Halo Infinite. Corden reports the following about this new game mode, which is supposed to have a “special approach” to the genre:
The Battle Royale has the code name “Tatanka”.
The mode is being developed separately by Certain Affinity, while 343 Industries continues to work on the multiplayer and singleplayer of Halo Infinite.
It is unclear how “traditional” this Battle Royale will be.
Data miners have discovered a long list of tasks that could indicate many mini-objectives in the Battle Royale.
Journalist Paul Tassi speculates that there could be PvE elements with AI enemies on the map. This would remind players of the multiplayer modes of Titanfall 2.
The mode has been in development for over two years.
It is expected to be about as large as CoD Warzone.
It could potentially be a standalone, free-to-play game like Warzone.
The mode is aimed at attracting new players to Halo Infinite and targets fans of Fortnite, CoD Warzone, and Apex Legends.
It is supposed to relate to the upcoming Forge mode, which allows players to create their own maps and game modes.
The release is planned for Season 3 or 4 of Halo Infinite, says Jez Corden. This would likely mean August or November 2022.
These speculations are not the first regarding a Battle Royale in Halo Infinite. When the developers were asked about it in the past, they clearly rejected the game mode.
In a stream 4 years ago, Jeff Easterling, the lead writer at 343 Industries, said: “The only BR we are interested in is the Battle Rifle.” If insiders are to be believed, this attitude has changed.
If these reports are confirmed, it will be exciting to see how Halo’s specific features work in a Battle Royale. Because in Halo Infinite, even toxic gestures are part of the norm:
He himself is still “pretty fucking tame,” so quite harmless. However, he simply says he is “very time-efficient,” Ocelote laughs.
When asked about the accusations from MAD Lions in September 2021 that he attempted to manipulate players, Ocelote merely responds: “Yeah, whatever. The MAD Lions can fuck off!”
The team we currently have was formed through discussions we had with people we were allowed to speak to. During these times. In fact, officially, every player who has ever been with G2 has never been poached.
How will it proceed? Unofficially, Ocelote says: Every good team in the league is currently confronted with poaching, both Fnatic and Rogue. Both teams have an “insane” strong roster. The top players are constantly approached on Discord.
The only way to change that would be to abolish the rule entirely. Until then, Ocelote and G2 will continue to make fun of it, even if it is difficult for him to discuss the topic.
It’s a strange topic. I don’t know. It’s an ugly conversation because everyone does it, and everyone knows that everyone does it. But every time someone is accused of doing it, everyone jumps up and says, “Oh, look at this guy!” Yet everyone is doing the same thing, it’s just an ugly topic of conversation and I think it’s better to just get rid of the rule entirely. But okay, that’s never going to happen. That’s just wishful thinking.

How is this being discussed? On reddit, LoL players are discussing the interview. Even if many see Ocelote critically due to his aggressive demeanor, most agree with the essence of his statement:
Even in “normal sports,” there is constant violation of corresponding rules. Either Riot must enforce its rules consistently (which is viewed as impossible) or abolish them.
To monitor compliance with the rule, Riot would have to thoroughly oversee every conversation, every Discord, every personal message over social media – that is simply impossible.
Ocelote is clearly right, they say. The “poaching” will never stop.
Ocelote has pretty hot views on LoL, as one can repeatedly see:

But every time someone is accused of doing it, everyone jumps up and says, “Oh, look at this guy!” Yet everyone is doing the same thing, it’s just an ugly topic of conversation and I think it’s better to just get rid of the rule entirely. But okay, that’s never going to happen. That’s just wishful thinking.
Ocelote
According to Ocelote, 50-60% of teams in the LEC poach; they do it constantly: players talk, come into Discords, jump into calls, and meet with people.

Ocelote has pretty hot views on LoL, as one can repeatedly see:
Carlos “Ocelote” Rodriguez (31) is the boss of G2 Esports, the European champion, in League of Legends. In an interview, he rants: Half of all teams in the European league violate transfer rules. Although he is often accused of illegally poaching players from other teams, he claims to be the most harmless, yet the best in this game.
Who is this?
Carlos “Ocelote” Rodriguez was a midlaner in the early days of LoL but switched to management early on and has built the most successful team in Europe with G2 Esports since 2014.
At heart, Ocelote remains a passionate gamer and speaks bluntly, which doesn’t sound like a CEO at all. He regularly goes off the rails and infuriates fans of rival teams. He sees the team “Fnatic” as his main competitor and aims to sabotage them. He has issued a clause that “his star player” Perkz cannot switch to Fnatic.
Before the 2022 season in LoL, Ocelote wildly restructured his entire team, firing many stars and replacing them with unknowns. However, success proved him right: In Spring 2022, G2 was again crowned champion of the LEC after wiping out the top favorites Rogue 3-0 in the finals.
Rules threaten lifetime bans for poaching contracted players
What rule do the teams in LoL allegedly violate? There are 3 rules in the “Esports Global Penalty Index” from LoL that prohibit “poaching” and “tampering” with players (via esports.assets).
In short:
As long as a player has a contract with a team, they cannot be lured by others to break that contract and switch teams.
“Poaching” is therefore prohibited – players under contract cannot be approached and certainly not poached.
All these offenses carry enormous penalties – we are talking about at least 5 months of game suspension up to a lifetime ban.
“Technically,” only players or coaches who are “free agents,” meaning those who currently have no contract, should be approached. During an ongoing season, discussions about transfers are strictly prohibited.
The rules for Esports in LoL impose severe penalties for poaching contracted players.
“I play by the same rules as others – And I play better”
What does Ocelote say about this? The head of G2 states in an interview with Inven that practically no one adheres to this rule. Although he has been accused in the past of wanting to poach contracted players, G2 has consistently suffered from poaching itself:
For example, G2 lost the then-best bot lane in LoL, Zven and Mithy, to poaching in 2015.
They lost the supporter Hybrid in 2016 right before a tournament.
Ocelote says:
Ultimately, we have continually been hit by poaching throughout our existence. Officially, I tell you that I don’t poach. But just between us, I tell you that I play by the same rules as everyone else. And I play better!
Ocelote
Ocelote emphasizes:
The team we currently have was formed through discussions we had with people we were allowed to speak to. During these times. In fact, officially, every player who has ever been with G2 has never been poached.
