This interview is about: On August 24th, ZDF released an interview with MontanaBlack as part of the portrait series “Germania”. The series aims to explore what it means to be German – particularly from the perspective of people with a migration background.
MontanaBlack is the son of a Turkish mother and a German father, but the conversation is about much more than just his background.
MontanaBlack’s success: at the right time in the right place
This is behind his success: MontanaBlack says of himself that he was simply at the right time in the right place. He started uploading videos to YouTube at an early age and has been on Twitch since 2013. It wouldn’t work the same way today.
Because back then, MontanaBlack’s openness was his unique selling point. Everything was much more “repressed,” today everyone talks about everything on the internet. But he spoke openly about his past, his drug use, and his low points even then.
MontanaBlack had great success with games like GTA, Call of Duty and Fortnite and showed a lot of gameplay at a time when hardly anyone seemed to be showing much gaming. Recently, the focus has shifted away from gaming and that cost him quite a few viewers.
However, his success has never had anything to do with his gaming skills:
I was never good at anything, gaming-wise. Not even dogshit, but I never became known for delivering crazy gameplays.
Instead, he was simply close to the audience. Telling people in livestreams what’s going on with him is something he could never give up. Because for him, it’s “not just a hobby, but also a passion and in a way also therapy.”
That’s why he still wants to stream at 50 – if anyone still wants to watch him then. However, he does not want to bend over backwards for his viewers at all.
MontanaBlack is not a fan of exaggerated correctness
That’s why Monte doesn’t want to pretend: Many people have become what their viewers wanted them to be on the internet. But MontanaBlack has always been who he wanted to be.
MontanaBlack’s advantage has been that he wears his heart on his sleeve, being authentic. Although that has backfired before, things used to be a bit more relaxed.
These days, people and the companies behind them want to be politically correct, not say anything wrong. That really annoys him. Therefore, he also doesn’t want to adjust his content.
After all, MontanaBlack is not an educational channel. The responsibility for what children and young people watch always lies with the parents and not with him.
Nevertheless, MontanaBlack has become more mature. He used to confront more, to get more worked up. Today, he just wants his peace and “no more headaches.”

At ZDF, MontanaBlack also dispels a rumor. Many fans had long believed he was actually only 23 or 25. This assumption stemmed from a running gag in his streams.
MontanaBlack himself had claimed to be only 25, the 88 in his username comes from the fact that his parents married in 1988. In the video, he introduces himself and states his age as 34, admitting that his parents were never married.

At the big GO Fest finale, you can finally encounter all four Ultra Beasts in Pokémon GO. But which of them is the strongest? We at MeinMMO have taken a look at this and will show you which of these special monsters you should definitely catch.
What event is it about? This year, the developers have come up with something special for the Pokémon GO Fest. Unlike previous years, where the event took place over one weekend, Niantic organized a massive global GO Fest weekend alongside three live events in 2022, where you could encounter so-called Ultra Beasts for the first time.
Now, the event is set to conclude with a grand finale. On Saturday, August 27, 2022, you can look forward to numerous spawns and bonuses. The Ultra Beasts will also be part of it again.
When does the GO Fest finale take place?The closing event will take place on August 27, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time.

What are Ultra Beasts? These are mysterious Pokémon that originate from the so-called Ultra Dimension. With the help of Ultra Wormholes, which are like portals opening in the sky, they can switch to the world of Pokémon GO.
During the global GO Fest in June, you had the chance to encounter Anego in raids for the first time. Then, at the live events, ticket holders could exclusively encounter Schabelle, Masskito, and Voltriant. As part of the closing event, all trainers will again have the chance to secure these mysterious monsters.
But how strong are the Ultra Beasts anyway? And which of the monsters should you not miss? We will briefly introduce you to the individual Ultra Beasts below and show you which ones you should catch.
What kind of Pokémon is this? Schabelle is an Ultra Beast from the 7th generation of games, belonging to the Bug and Fighting types. The monster has no pre-evolutions or evolutions. You can recognize Schabelle by its delicate, beetle-like, white body and long antennae.
How strong is it? The Ultra Beast can particularly shine with an enormous attack value, but it is somewhat weaker in stamina and defense. It can rely on the following values:
Attack: 316
Defense: 85
Stamina: 174
With Bug Bite, Schabelle can particularly benefit from a fast quick attack. In combination with Bug Buzz, it also has a charge attack that deals significant damage to the opponent. Thus, the Ultra Beast is among the best Bug attackers in the game.
And even as a Fighting attacker, it is a good choice with a moveset of Low Kick and Focus Blast, although there are one or two attackers that are even better. In the GO Battle League, Schabelle does not play a special role.
What kind of Pokémon is this? Masskito is also an Ultra Beast of the Bug and Fighting types from the 7th generation of games. Like Schabelle, it has no pre-evolutions or evolutions. You can recognize the monster by its red-black, muscular body.
How strong is it? In contrast to Schabelle, Masskito has a significantly lower attack value, but it is still quite strong compared to other Pokémon. However, its stamina and defense values are better:
Attack: 236
Defense: 197
Stamina: 216
With its moveset of Counter and Power Whip, it can primarily benefit from a strong quick attack, dealing significant damage to the opponent. Due to its higher defense and stamina values, it stays by your side longer in battle, making Masskito a better Fighting attacker in the game than Schabelle.
However, in the Bug attackers category, it cannot compete against its rivals. But in the GO Battle League, Masskito is at the top, securing 38th place in the Super League, 20th place in the Master League, and even 9th place in the Hyper League according to the PvPoke rankings. In that case, it’s best to go with a moveset of Counter, Power Whip, and Bug Buzz.
What kind of Pokémon is this? The Ultra Beast Voltriant also comes from the 7th generation of games and is an Electric Pokémon. Its body is black and periodically adorned with bright bulbs. It also has a bright star as its head, reminiscent of a string of lights.
How strong is it? Like Schabelle, Voltriant has an enormous attack value, and its stamina and defense values are solid as well:
Attack: 330
Defense: 144
Stamina: 195
In battle, you should rely on a combination of Thunder Shock and Charge Beam for attacks. With Thunder Shock, it has a relatively fast quick attack, and Charge Beam is also quickly charged. Thus, Voltriant ranks among the best Electric attackers in Pokémon GO. However, Voltriant is less interesting for the GO Battle League.
What kind of Pokémon is this? The Rock and Poison Pokémon Anego is also an Ultra Beast from the 7th generation of games. Visually, it resembles a type of jellyfish due to its white body. The monster, however, has no pre-evolutions or evolutions.
How strong is it? Anego impresses especially with strong attack, stamina, and defense values that are significantly better than those of the top Poison attacker Roserade:
Attack: 249
Defense: 210
Stamina: 240
Moreover, Anego can also score with a moveset of Acid and Sludge Bomb, dealing significant damage to the opponent, making it one of the best Poison attackers in the game.
As a Rock Pokémon, it cannot compete against its rivals, so it’s better to choose a different monster for this purpose. Additionally, Anego does not play a significant role in the GO Battle League.
Which of the Ultra Beasts is the strongest? Our conclusion
What to consider: If you look only at the attack values of the individual Ultra Beasts, Voltriant is in the lead, followed by Schabelle. However, it also depends on the use of the individual monsters.
For this reason, the question of which Ultra Beast is the strongest cannot be answered in a blanket manner, which is why we have summarized our recommendations for use in the GO Battle League and in raids below.
Use in PvP battles: If you want to use one of the Ultra Beasts for the GO Battle League, you should definitely go with Masskito. This Pokémon is well ahead in all leagues and can significantly strengthen your team.
Use in raids: Trainers looking for a strong candidate for raids should particularly keep an eye out for Anego and Voltriant. Voltriant especially benefits from a fast attack combination, making it a top Electric attacker for your team.
Anego, on the other hand, deals significant damage with its moveset and ranks among the best Poison attackers. Moreover, both can impress with strong values.
What about Schabelle? The Ultra Beast Schabelle is mainly an option for use as a strong Bug Pokémon in raids. However, due to its weak values in stamina and defense, it won’t last long in battles.

With these words, the announcement for the new event in GTA Online begins. Since yesterday, you can decide whether you are Team Sprunk or Team eCola. If you want to participate in the event, make your way to southern San Andreas and vote for your favorite drink.

How can you vote? You have several options for voting. The number of votes is not limited. You can vote in several places by getting and drinking cans of your favorite drink. Here you can find the cans:
Sprunk or eCola vending machines
Convenience store
Other snack supplies in Los Santos and Blaine County
It applies: Each can consumed counts as one vote.
You can find crews of Sprunk and eCola in the Social Club, which you can join as a member. If you are part of the team, you can work on your crew rank. This allows you to receive crew merchandise of the respective brand and attach it to your vehicles and clothing.
Additionally, there are bodysuits in the clothing stores that you can pick up for free. Each bodysuit picked up counts as one vote.
How long does the event last? You have three weeks to set your beverage statement. After September 14, the voting will be evaluated. To find the winner, the number of crew members will be added to the consumed cans and collected bodysuits.
What prizes can be won? After determining the victorious drink brand, all GTA Online players who logged in during the event period will receive the following rewards: A cap, a parachute backpack, and a college jacket from the winning drink, plus 300,000 GTA$.
What events has GTA Online hosted in the past? Such a voting, where players need to position themselves for a specific side, is nothing new in the game. One past event allowed gamers to decide: Do they want to join the green or the purple aliens?
It even became a trend to dress up and then beat up players from the other side, which sometimes escalated into pretty chaotic scenes in GTA Online. However, gamers celebrated the alien fights. It remains to be seen whether the beverage fronts will also bring about similar confrontations.

Minecraft Legends is the new game from Mojang and aims to blur the lines between different genres. The game is set to release in 2023 on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Switch. At gamescom, MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus was able to see real gameplay for the first time and was surprised by what Legends truly is.
When Minecraft Legends was announced, there was only a small trailer for the game. It reminded me a lot of the already released action RPG Minecraft Dungeons, as you control a hero in both games.
Accordingly, I was convinced that Legends would just be a kind of Dungeons 2 with a few new ideas – like wave defense or tower defense, so it could be called a strategy game. Even though I love Diablo, the idea didn’t excite me much, even though the trailer was already hugely popular at release.
For gamescom 2022, we were invited by the creators, Mojang, to take a closer look at the game. The developers, Creative Director Magnus Nedfors and Executive Producer Dennis Ries, showed me live gameplay and answered some of my questions.
And now I have to say: Minecraft Legends looks so good that it is likely to be the biggest surprise of gamescom for me.

New Minecraft strategy game is coming – trailer shows wild skirmishes
Not an ARPG, but a real RTS
I was wrong: Minecraft Legends has little in common with Dungeons aside from a similar look. I have been mistaken about pretty much everything I previously thought about the game:
Legends is a real strategy game, not an ARPG.
The core of the game is not looting and leveling or fending off hordes, but actively attacking enemy strongholds.
The hero is not the “hero” in the center, but merely the commander – a special unit of the army, if you will.
The world is procedurally generated and random, but not as vast as vanilla Minecraft. This leads to more focus on action.
The only thing that has really held true is the connection to Minecraft. And even that is rather thin. There are still health points and resources, but you don’t gather them yourself. If you need stones, wood, and more, you send allies out to gather for you.
Also, the huge building aspect is out. You don’t build buildings block by block, but in the form of finished buildings, which you use to reinforce and expand outposts. There, you train units and attack enemy bases.
What does the gameplay look like now? In Minecraft Legends, you only play as the commander of an army that you build and lead into battle. You establish outposts with buildings to fend off the piglins attacking the overworld.
If you find one of their strongholds, you can set up a base outside where you can then recruit units: melee fighters, ranged fighters, and healers. They follow you, the commander, and you can give them orders like attacking specific buildings.
As is customary for a strategy game, units can even be grouped. Only the perspective is unusual, as you are much closer to the action than in Age of Empires, for example. As commander, you even fight yourself, for instance, to keep attackers away from your followers.
In terms of progress, you don’t upgrade your hero, but learn to build new buildings and summon units, and you increase the capacity of your army. This allows you to deploy your troops more diversely. As is typical for RTS games, units cost resources – so there is a limitation based on your income.

The new shooter Hyenas is a hero shooter with Borderlands flair and heist mechanics. The title has already been introduced but has not shown any gameplay yet. MeinMMO was able to get a glimpse of alpha gameplay at gamescom and saw crazy humor and a completely new approach to the shooter genre.

In an uncomfortable version of the future, the Hyenas fight to collect valuable “artifacts” of pop culture to earn cash and reputation.
To do this, you choose a crazy hero, fight as a team of three against four other teams, and head out on legendary heists.
At gamescom, the developers explained to us how Hyenas works and what makes it special. However, the shown gameplay was from an early alpha version and we were not allowed to make recordings, but we did receive a few screenshots.

In a new shooter on Steam, you steal billions on Mars
Innovative genre mix but retro graphics
How does Hyenas work? The future is in ruins, Earth no longer exists, and society has decayed. The rich live on Mars, while the rest of humanity languishes in orbit.
The Hyenas want to break out of this reality and reach for the treasures of the rich. However, these are not boxes full of gold, but valuable artifacts that we would today call “merchandise.”
With a good dose of humor, you grasp for these treasures in a team of three while avoiding the other four teams. NPCs are also a topic – they guard treasures, want to eliminate you, and drop loot as well. It’s a PvEvP environment.
If you collect enough “merch” and reach a certain amount of cash, extraction points open up, through which you can leave the level. This is somewhat reminiscent of the cash mode in Warzone with the extraction mechanics of Escape from Tarkov.
The levels are filled with PvE enemies, offering shortcuts and hidden paths. Since everything takes place in space, zero gravity is also part of the gameplay. This opens up new opportunities but also a tactical perspective to turn fights in your favor.
If the escape succeeds, you win the match. It’s not a battle royale – so it’s not enough to defeat all opposing teams. You always have to collect enough cash and get away for a victory. The round lasts about 15 minutes.
In Hyenas, you will find references to pop culture in zero gravity everywhere
What reminds of Borderlands? First of all, the humor. It’s dark as night, a little “over the top.” A dark vision of the future that many protagonists seem to endure only with cynicism and gallows humor. Hyenas is crazy, and the atmosphere is very reminiscent of Borderlands.
Secondly, there are similarities in the graphics. In the shown scenes from the first-person perspective, a hint of cel-shading graphics could be recognized. Whether this helps the title is yet to be seen. Even the head developer of Borderlands says that the series might have been more successful with a more realistic graphics style (via GameStar.com).
The characters of Hyenas are brutally exaggerated, which gives them personality right away.
What reminds of Overwatch? Hyenas is also a hero shooter. Every selectable character has its own abilities and weapon loadouts. This limits the possibilities of individual players but promotes teamwork.
One character is a sniper, another is better suited for close combat and can set up foam barriers as a special ability. The next character handles explosive phones and deadly teddy bears.
Like in Overwatch, each team requires a certain balance of specialists and playstyles. Communicative teams gain a direct advantage, and during the gamescom presentation, the players were also clearly trying to stay very close together to support each other.
When will Hyenas be released? There is no specific date yet, 2023 is given as the release year. Hyenas is set to be released for PC (Epic, Steam), on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Expect many raid bosses in Pokémon GO during the GO Fest finale on August 27. We show you when Schabelle, Voltriant, Masskito, and Anego will appear.
Why do the bosses change? On Saturday, August 27, the big GO Fest finale takes place in Pokémon GO. There will be special bonuses, spawns, shinies, and also raid bosses. Some of the 5-star bosses change depending on the time.
In this overview, we show you which opponent you will encounter in the 1-star, 3-star, 5-star, and Mega raids.
All raid bosses on August 27 – When will you encounter whom?
The schedule: The event runs from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and during this time you will encounter all listed bosses unless otherwise indicated.
Pokémon marked with a star (*) can be encountered as shiny
You can see that you will find the Ultra Beasts Schabelle, Masskito, and Voltriant only in their designated time windows. However, you will have another chance to encounter the bosses and battle them in the arenas from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Later, Anego will also return.
Mega-Ampharos is not specifically coming for the event, but has already been available in Mega Raids before and after.
Tip: If you play with a ticket, you will receive special advantages in raids. You can get up to nine daily raid passes when you spin the photo discs of gyms. Additionally, there is an XP bonus that grants you 5,000 extra experience points for raids won in person.
A concerned whisper went through Goldshire in World of Warcraft. Blizzard is taking action against the “eRPlers” – or has it always been this way?
“How can someone with such a name still roam around on the realm?” – This is surely a question many might ask while lingering in the cities of World of Warcraft. But it’s not just there that one encounters creepy names; it gets really eerie at times in Goldshire on roleplay realms, such as “Argent Dawn” or “The Aldor”. What people write about their characters can lead to bans – it’s so bad that Game Masters can’t even rewrite it.
What happened? In the US WoW forum, an outraged player named Valui reported that he received a 3-day ban. He was punished for “Disruptive Gameplay” and couldn’t for the life of him understand what was going on.
After a while, the first Game Master noted: “If something is deemed inappropriate to verbalize, then it is also inappropriate to pack it into an addon that can be read by other players.”
Valui still seems to have no idea what it could be about and suspects it is because he criticized Blizzard in several of his RP-flags. It seems this also gets under the skin of Game Master Vrakthris, who becomes a bit clearer and explains:
To put it very clearly, Valui, there have been no changes to our rules. They are the same rules we’ve had for many years. The only thing that has changed is that you went from “not yet reported” to “reported and reviewed.”
The quote you mentioned may be ambiguous, but that is not why your account was punished. The content that was reported was far more graphic than anything you’ve brought up here as an example. To such an extent that even my expertise in innuendos and vagueness cannot rewrite those contents without acting inappropriately myself.
Yet even after this, Valui still seems to not know what it is really about, even though everyone else in the thread had suspected it from the very beginning – it concerns activities in Goldshire that one might rather label as “racy.” Following this, the GM goes on again:
It’s strange that it took so long for someone to report you for this content if you’ve really been behaving this way for quite some time. I can only assume that those who saw it did not know that or how to report it.
Nothing you’ve written was shocking. It’s simply not appropriate for our game or really any place except for those where one actively seeks such material.
What kind of addon are they talking about? The addon most commonly used by roleplayers is “Total RP 3”, but there are also alternatives, though most features are similar. Among the main features is that characters can be described in more detail. Details such as size, type of clothing, general behavior, or even a character story can be included. All this information is then referred to as the character’s “flag.”
While most of these “flags” are harmless, you can find quite a few flags with a lot of detail that you might not want to know in the notorious Goldshire. Draenei might have a few too many body parts, and night elves describe every angle of their bodies and their sexual preferences in such detail that even the porn industry would blush with shame.
Many probably thought that the “flags” were basically not within Blizzard’s punishable area – after all, only those who also use the addon can read it. However, Blizzard had already created the option some time ago to report content written in addons as well and to impose sanctions regarding it.

What does that mean? If you’ve ever wondered how it is possible that characters with offensive names can saunter through World of Warcraft unscathed and Blizzard does “nothing,” it simply comes down to the fact that these characters have not yet been reported. So if you find an offensive or inappropriate name or some pretty crude expressions in the roleplay flag, report the respective offenders.
