The new MMORPG Tower of Fantasy launched in early August and is very popular, resulting in waiting times for logging in. Additionally, cheaters are disrupting the gaming experience. The developers are now addressing this issue.
The developers Hotta Studios seemingly did not anticipate such a surge in players for Tower of Fantasy at release, which is why players have to wait to enter one of the servers.
Hotta Studios have already increased the server capacity for the PC version and are currently working on doing the same for Android and iOS. They are also correcting the recommendation on which server you should enter.
They are also improving the wait time estimates so that you will be shown more accurately how long it takes. The previous information was rather inaccurate.
Cheating players are to be punished
The issue of players using cheats is also to be addressed. Screenshots of characters with extremely high achievements are circulating on the internet.
For example, an image on Imgur shows how characters have reached a suppressor level of 7.5, even though the maximum is 3.5. The suppressor is essentially a machine that you upgrade to improve your character.
The developers announced on the Tower of Fantasy website that they intend to work on the anti-cheat system to make it harder for hackers. In their post, they mention “punishments”. We currently do not know exactly what those will be.

Recently, Tower of Fantasy launched in the West and has been very popular since then. At the time of release, the developers stated on the game’s website that they had recorded over 4 million pre-registrations.
On Twitch, Tower of Fantasy then achieved higher viewer numbers than Lost Ark and WoW. Official player numbers, however, are not publicly available.
What kind of game is this? Tower of Fantasy is a new anime MMORPG with gacha mechanics that is heavily reminiscent of Genshin Impact. However, in Genshin Impact, you travel alone in your world, while in Tower of Fantasy, all players inhabit the same world.
You create your character in a detailed character editor, or choose from pre-made looks from the community. This follows a story on the planet Ada, which humans have colonized in the future.
An open world awaits you, where you can move in various ways. You swim, climb, fly, or ride a motorcycle.
With various weapons, you slash and shoot your way through the action-packed combat system. Dodging and aiming must be done by yourself.
The game is free-to-play, but you can spend a lot of real money on the gacha mechanics and improve your character through shop items.
