Blue Protocol is a new anime MMORPG that many players have been eagerly anticipating. The reason for this is the strong PvE focus and action-packed battles. However, for a long time, there has been no news about the game. Where does the MMORPG stand in April 2022?
What kind of game is it? Blue Protocol will be a theme park MMORPG from Bandai Namco. It focuses on PvE content and a story revolving around time travel. You flee 1,000 years into the past to prevent a catastrophe and save the world.
The game world is divided into hubs and cities for up to 200 players simultaneously and instanced areas for about 30 players. The system is reminiscent of Guild Wars 2, where there is a loading screen for each area.
You can expect many quests and a strong focus on the story.
The combat system of Blue Protocol is very action-oriented. You must actively target enemies, dodge hostile attacks, and have only a few special moves.
Monsters in the game do not drop equipment. You have to craft your own.
In PvE, there will be solo instances and dungeons for up to 6 players. Raids are also planned.
The game does not feature direct PvP but allows you to compete in leaderboards in PvE.

When will Blue Protocol be released? The game entered beta in Japan in 2020, but it was closed again in December. A release was initially planned for 2021 in Japan and was later expected to happen worldwide. However, since then, it has been suspiciously quiet about the game. How did Blue Protocol develop after the beta? At the end of 2020, the developers revealed that they want to significantly revamp the combat system of Blue Protocol. The animations, dynamics, dodging, and hit feedback were to be improved. Many hoped that Blue Protocol could be released in 2021 in Japan and possibly even worldwide.
However, the conclusion of the beta at the end of 2020 is still the last news that Bandai Namco has published on the official Japanese website of Blue Protocol.
In 2021, there was a statement from Smilegate, the developer of Lost Ark, that they will distribute Blue Protocol in Korea (via BlueProtocolDB). That, along with a job posting from August 25, 2021, for new developers for Blue Protocol, was pretty much all that happened throughout that year regarding the MMORPG.
There were speculations that the developers of Blue Protocol were overwhelmed, had taken on too much, or that the game could even be canceled. However, it doesn’t seem to look like that anymore.
Action-packed battles and large boss fights are at the forefront of Blue Protocol.
What is new now? For April/May 2022, new job interviews for the development of Blue Protocol and the shooter Gundam Evolution from Bandai Namco have been announced. It is noticeable that new people are being sought for pretty much every area, including programmers, designers, artists, and game planners (via YouTube).
The development of Blue Protocol seems to be continuing, but it is unclear how long players will have to wait for a release. No statements have been made regarding this so far.
There is also no new gameplay or insights into the development.
Will Blue Protocol come to us at all? Officially, there is still no statement regarding a global release. Blue Protocol is said to be aimed at the Japanese market according to official statements.
However, in the past, localization managers for the English language have been sought, and a deal was made with Smilegate for the Korean market. This suggests that Bandai Namco wants to make their game accessible to a larger market.

In FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, there are some tasks that hide some really strong packs as rewards. We show you 4 that you can easily complete.
Why packs from tasks? In Ultimate Team, you can draw new players for the club from packs, but buying a pack in the shop usually isn’t worth it. Because the chances of getting strong players from packs are low. Luck determines what kind of players you get. Investing coins or points in the shop is a high risk.
In the “Ones-to-Watch” warm-up, there are 2 strong packs
The second pack: You will receive a “Jumbo Rare Players Pack” (untradeable) when you complete the “Ones-to-Watch Warm-Up”. This usually costs 100,000 coins.
To do this, complete the partial tasks:

What do you need to do? In addition to the two packs mentioned above, you can also obtain two more “Jumbo Rare Players Packs” (untradeable) from the milestones. These are also simple, but it may take some time.
In the milestone “Mastery: Assists”, there is a task that you should achieve 500 assists – with a team that has over 75 overall points.
In the milestone “Mastery: Finishing”, you will find the task of scoring 500 goals with a team over 80 overall rating.
Both tasks reward you with one of the packs.
Which mode you do this in doesn’t really matter. You could theoretically set up a team with an 80+ overall rating, go into Squad Battles, and try to score as many goals as possible on the easiest AI difficulty. Then the task should be completed fairly quickly and you will also climb in the Squad Battles ranking.
Alternatively, you can just play normally and wait until you reach 500 goals and assists. Over several matches, these will accumulate by themselves.
Only if you really need such packs right now, for example, to strengthen your team at the start, might the effort be worth it.
Mastery “Finishing” and “Assists” can also yield a 100k pack
What you need to keep in mind: As usual, there’s no guarantee that you will get anything useful from the packs. However, the chance with such promo packs is higher than with normal gold packs. And with the tasks, you don’t have to spend hundreds of thousands of coins for them.
On the other hand, the bonuses are untradeable, meaning they cannot be sold on the transfer market. Nevertheless, the packs could at least provide you with good players for your team or fodder for upcoming Squad Building Challenges.
Dragon riding in World of Warcraft Dragonflight will soon be available as a group. And the best part: You will be transformed into cute whelplings.
One of the few major features of World of Warcraft Dragonflight is dragon riding. This is a new way of moving where characters can stay in the air for a limited time but reach insane speeds that are significantly faster than epic flying mounts. It’s a form of “skill-based flying,” as those who know the environment can exploit air currents to travel further than others.
However, this brings problems, especially for players with certain limitations. Therefore, there is a simultaneously brilliant and also cute feature: the “Passenger Mode.”

A “Need for Speed” is currently climbing the charts on Steam. We reveal what is behind the sudden hype.
The fact that old games make a strong comeback on Steam is actually rare. When it does happen, it usually has a rather clear reason – as is the case this time.
One of the most popular racing game franchises in the world has not really managed to establish itself on Steam so far, but suddenly the player numbers of “Need for Speed Heat” are skyrocketing.
How have the player numbers developed? “Explosive” would probably be an understatement. Since its release, Need for Speed Heat (NFSH) has been floating around with rather low player numbers on Steam.
At launch, it peaked at 6,000 players, while during two major sales, the numbers rose again to 10,000 and 13,000. Normally, the peak numbers for NFSH range between 2,500 and 4,000 players – until now.
For several days now, NFSH has been experiencing an explosive increase in players. Old records have been literally shattered, as already on Thursday evening (29.09.), the number of concurrent players rose to over 36,000.

Meanwhile, this peak has grown again, and it currently stands at over 55,000 concurrent players at peak.
Where does the increase come from? This has primarily two reasons. On one hand, Need for Speed Heat is currently in a “Free Weekend”, allowing players to try the racing game for free. At the same time, a sale is running, reducing the title by a whopping 95% – from its original price of €70 to currently €3.50.
This appears to be prompting many players to at least check out the racing game or add it permanently to their collection.

Is Need for Speed Heat worth it? In the end, that’s something everyone will have to decide for themselves. However, the current price of €3.50 should be manageable even if one ends up investing only a few hours into the game. In doubt, it’s worth taking advantage of the “Free Weekend” beforehand to get at least an impression of NFSH.

You can challenge different teams, some stronger and some weaker. Additionally, there are teams with strong, but also with really bad chemistry. They are easier to beat.
How do I get Squad Battles rewards? You earn points with each game in Squad Battles that push you up the leaderboard. Wins earn you more points than, for example, a 0:0 or a loss. If your win is particularly dominant, it gives you extra points.
Additionally, you can choose the difficulty. The higher the difficulty, the more points a game can bring.
You have a week to gather points for the leaderboard. However, you can only play a maximum of 40 matches that count towards the leaderboard.
Depending on how high you finish, you will receive better rewards.
FIFA 23: Squad Battles – Rewards and Time
When do the Squad Battles rewards arrive in FIFA 23? In FIFA 23, the Squad Battles rewards arrive on Sundays at 10:00 AM. However, you should expect a slight delay until 10:05 AM.

Since 2011, the YouTuber and entrepreneur Daniel Jung has been steadily uploading videos on his channel that introduce various areas of mathematics to his viewers. Whether students or scholars, everyone can find videos that help them with math.
By now, the channel has over 850,000 subscribers and many grateful viewers, but how does one come up with the idea to start such a channel?
Together with Daniel, we from MeinMMO took an excursion into the realm of YouTube and Twitch, an area many of you might not be aware of.

MeinMMO: Hello Daniel! Would you like to briefly introduce yourself to our readers?
Daniel: Hi! My name is Daniel Jung and I studied mathematics and sports to become a teacher. However, I decided to use the internet to bring people closer to mathematics, especially through educational videos on YouTube.
MeinMMO: In 2011, YouTube was slowly moving away from cat videos and entering the mainstream. What motivated you to create a channel?
Daniel: I founded my first company parallel to my studies. It was a classic tutoring service, but very local, from my hometown. We helped connect tennis coaches.
These were students who mostly studied sports and another subject. That was quite classic, and that was in the late 2000s. The first of them said: “We discovered videos on the internet that were not just cat videos, but also displayed educational content.”
He thought: “Oh, that’s interesting feedback.” Then I began researching and was amazed that in the USA, actually all or many renowned universities had already filmed their lectures as early as the 2000s. They were first posted on their own learning platforms before YouTube started, and were also uploaded there in 2005.

This is how it started: One of the first videos Daniel published on his YouTube channel.
So, that means there was something there already. It just wasn’t found because there were so many cat videos. And then I said: “I find that interesting.” Only these videos were too long for me. It was a classic lecture.
Then I said from experience, I would much prefer to have shorter segments. I now have a question: “What is an exponent?” or “What is a derivative?” I want that explained in five minutes.
I thought there was a market to understand things in short segments via video. This was before TikTok, before Instagram – fast, fast, fast – 30, 90 seconds. And I didn’t want it in 30 or 90 seconds, but really relaxed in three to five minutes. That’s how the idea began. That was the start.
By now, there are hundreds of videos on Daniel’s channel covering various topics.
MeinMMO: You are now an entrepreneur who has founded several companies. But tell us about the beginnings of your YouTube channel. What did you struggle with the most at the beginning?
Daniel: I actually didn’t struggle at all because I saw it simply as a vehicle to test how you can bring digitalization into education.
One option was: I make a livestream, but that was still very difficult in 2011-12. Just terrible connections; the streams weren’t stable. What I had done classically analog was hard.
But producing a video I found more interesting than just uploading a document online that you have to read through yourself. I wanted to pack the explanatory format of a classic analog lecture into a 5-minute video and make it available via a platform which was the only video platform in 2011.

By now, Daniel explains math in various formats and for different educational groups.
I simply worked with the feedback. So, how can you optimize yourself? What fits, what doesn’t fit? In the beginning, I still went to the board in a tennis shirt with poor lighting and spoke too quickly [He laughs].
I found it interesting from the beginning. I didn’t want to become an influencer or anything like that. For me, it was a vehicle to test things since my first company was classic analog tutoring. And that was really a test.
I had no revenue at the beginning and had to look at:

Is advertising an option when learning?
Does it perhaps annoy people?
Up to the present point, where people say: “For you, I turn off the ad blocker because the content is so high quality that I would rather endure the advertising.” The feedback is really fantastic.
From the very beginning, it was only interesting to work with the feedback in this testing playground.
MeinMMO: Your channel has now been around for over 10 years and targets young people as an audience. How has viewer behavior changed during this time? Does the “youth of today” differ from the “youth of yesterday”?
Daniel: I always try to identify differences, but fundamentally there are no generational differences in learning. Everyone has to learn somehow. Math is everywhere; everyone has to learn math.
Today, however, people are more accustomed to dealing with media. In 2011 it was still the beginning. Back then, people said about YouTube and such that it was for cat videos. So they wouldn’t go there to learn.
Today, the difference is that you know: If I need help again, then I know there are educational videos on social networks, especially organized on the YouTube platform.
Nowadays, people actively go on YouTube. Earlier, you used to google: “Help, I have a question in math, topic derivative.” Today you “youtube” so to speak, doing your search on a video platform.
This means today it’s really become a law and standard. The youth knows there are learning videos not only for math but also for other subjects. People are definitely used to taking this as an addition to learning.
MeinMMO: That’s true. I graduated in 2010 and it wouldn’t have occurred to me to search for educational videos on YouTube. We had the classic graduation books for preparation.
Daniel: Exactly. In Germany, definitely not, because it just wasn’t on the radar. Although all of that, at least in English, had already been there. Everything, every topic, just not in German. And then around 2011-13, the early adopters like me started. There were a few who said: Yes, it could also work in Germany.
MeinMMO: YouTube as a platform is also constantly changing. What specific wishes would you have as an operator of an educational channel for YouTube?
Daniel: I have countless! And I’ve been shouting them out for years. I’ve been everywhere. I was in London with YouTube; I have pitched all over.
I’ll start right at the top: A new monetization concept for educational content creators. This means that the advertising is currently not personalized enough for educational creators. They should actually receive support from all kinds of larger companies focused on advancing education.
So – they could perhaps be bundled in some way to financially support all the Daniel Jungs and Lehrer Schmidts out there so that high-quality knowledge can be provided for free. That’s point 1.
Point 2 would actually be a feature. A video eventually fails, and a livestream is eventually over. And what if you have a specific question then?
Then there would be a community effect, I’ll call it collective intelligence, in case the educational creator is offline. The comment section is only there for “Hey, you are great, you are terrible, nice weather today”.
These are just classic comment mechanisms and not an exchange for specific questions. And if you have a specific question and I am not live, my video doesn’t help, you could connect with a swarm of people and someone among them would pop in and answer it.
That would naturally be easier if there was such a mechanism directly under the video on YouTube.
Point 3 is of course the algorithm. At the moment it does eventually lead you back to the cat video. You really need a creator hub where all educational channels are. It would be possible for YouTube to carry you forward by algorithm: “You were just searching for math and statistics. You might also find this psychology video interesting.” I find that very interesting.
A look into the future: Livestreaming school with a timetable?
MeinMMO: During our email exchange, a new format of yours was teased that is being developed in collaboration with other educational channels. Can you tell us more about it?
Daniel: Yes, the initial spark was the teacher Mr. Gerold, with whom you spoke in another interview. He is at a vocational school and talks about final exams.
He made a livestream on Twitch and suddenly had a few hundred people watching. I thought: “Wow, I find that totally interesting”. I hadn’t actually been on Twitch before.
Then, based on this article, I approached him and invited him to us. He then explained what mechanisms exist on Twitch when you speak in a livestream about educational content. I said, let’s see if we can bundle teachers in a live format.
However, there are also many real teachers, encouraged by Corona, who say: “I am going into this digital world, and also in a livestream format.”
I thought: “If you can bundle these people into a livestream format.” I find that exciting. I’m not writing a media plan for the next ten years; instead, I say: “Let’s bring together those who are currently active on Twitch and let’s first chat live.”
Maybe we will build an online livestream school. On Mondays, we can have math, physics, chemistry. On Tuesdays, there can be biology – or every day there’s something, additionally helping people who might still have problems.
We are now regularly discussing this in a group and are looking at what comes of it.

MeinMMO: Given that technology has evolved since 2011 and, moreover, that Corona has highlighted many deficits in the digital sphere over the past years, do you think there has been a transformation within the education system? Is it moving more towards digital?
Daniel: Unfortunately, it’s dead in the water. A few failures, and a lot of money that evaporates because they fail in Germany due to application processes. If you want to change something from within the existing system, you struggle against the mechanisms of application procedures.
But with YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, etc., I don’t have to write a media plan. That means the digital revolution will come from outside, with experts from within the system, namely the teachers who have enthusiasm.
And this has been positively fueled by Corona, where many who were still skeptical then said: “Let’s make a video or a livestream.”
Also together with Mr. Gerold, whom we have also spoken with, there was a joint stream.
There are limits where you say: We will continue to meet in person. But the great thing is, we no longer have to come together in person to hear a standard one-and-a-half-hour lecture. Instead, we can do cool things together onsite.
I believe that the education system in Germany, with our federalism and so on, is very difficult to crack. But there are more and more teachers who are eager to explore the digital landscape and inspire people with knowledge in the form of livestreams, etc.
If you bundle them, they have the leverage to really ignite the digital education revolution; otherwise, everything in Germany will likely just stagnate again.

I find the combination of gaming and education super interesting. In Finland, Minecraft is already a subject in schools. Why can’t we achieve such a combination? You wouldn’t even think of it.

With the release of FIFA 23, there are issues with the PC version. The “anti-cheat error” is now also clearly noticeable in the Steam reviews of the game.
FIFA 23 is supposed to represent a significant leap for players on PC. This year, the PC version is catching up with the versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, gaining new features like HyperMotion and thus enhanced gameplay and animations.
Additionally, various crossplay components have been introduced for FIFA 23. In this context, EA also presented a new anti-cheat system for FIFA 23. And that’s what’s causing problems right now.
Users are now venting their frustrations on Steam.
Anti-Cheat Error Dominates Reviews on Steam for FIFA 23
This is how FIFA 23 is currently performing on Steam: The ratings for FIFA 23 are in the red, marked as “mostly negative”. Only 31% of the approximately 3,200 reviews (as of October 1, 11:00 AM) are positive.
In comparison: FIFA 22 currently stands at 80% positive overall reviews (about 87,000) and is rated as “very positive” – even though the series is repeatedly criticized for its pack mechanics.
This is what users say: The negative reviews mainly revolve around the anti-cheat error and issues with starting the game. Many users complain that they simply cannot access the game.
These issues have persisted since the start of early access. Therefore, some criticize that there was no complete solution to the problem during this time, and that they couldn’t play during the time they spent money on EA Play or the pre-ordered Ultimate Edition.
Some users are expressing their frustration in the reviews:
“I guess the anti-cheat works, because if you can’t play, you can’t cheat,” comments user rmgerro (via Steam).
“70 euros for trying to fix the EA anti-cheat bug for hours – with no success. The game simply doesn’t start due to this issue […]” commented user MИO (via Steam).
“I can’t get on either, not last night and not now either. I’ll wait until tonight, and if I still can’t play, I’ll return the game,” writes user “Totti” (via Steam).
