Update, September 28, 19:00: This week, the Team of the Week 2 offers three particularly strong cards. There are the first Inform cards for:
- Mohamed Salah from Liverpool FC receives a strong 91 card, particularly impressive in speed, shooting, and dribbling.
- Luka Modric (89) receives a strong upgrade with outstanding passing and dribbling values. Only the pace value could be a bit higher.
- With Marquinhos (89) this week, there is a fast and strong defensive player.
From a German perspective, Kai Havertz (86) receives a pretty strong striker card, which is certainly interesting for many beginner squads.

When does TOTW 2 come to FIFA 23? The second Team of the Week will be released on Wednesday, September 28 at 19:00. This is before the official FIFA 23 release of the standard edition, but after the early access. You can also access the team through the web app.
This is the Team of the Week: Every Wednesday is TOTW time in FIFA Ultimate Team. This team consists of players who performed strongly in the previous football week. These players then receive improved Inform special cards, which are available in FUT for a week.
And since the release week falls during an international break, the TOTW cards this time are based on the players’ performances with their national teams.

Strong Candidates for TOTW 2
These strong players could make it: Already the first TOTW in FIFA 23 featured strong cards for Son (90), De Bruyne (92), Valverde (86), Immobile (87) and Traoré (85). The second Team of the Week could continue just as well with fresh Inform cards for the following players:
- Lionel Messi: The Argentine scored twice in the 3-0 win against Honduras and could secure a spot in TOTW 2. If EA includes him, FUT players can expect a formidable card.
- Mohamed Salah: A similarly strong performance was delivered by Mohamed Salah in the match Egypt against Niger. Just like Messi, Salah scored 2 goals, ensuring a 3-0 final score. A place in the new TOTW would therefore be deserved.
- Bruno Fernandes: The offensive midfielder of Manchester United delivered a strong performance in the match Portugal against the Czech Republic, managing a goal and an assist. It remains exciting to see if he makes it into the new TOTW.
