How many times has the video been viewed? The video of the bodycam game triggered numerous reactions. It was posted on Twitter on October 12 and had already been viewed 3.5 million times by October 13.
Additionally, it collected 150,000 “likes,” 3,000 comments, and over 18,600 retweets (as of October 13, 2:05 PM). On reddit, it received another 4,100 upvotes and 450 comments.
“I thought I had somehow opened a combat footage video”
What reactions are there to the video? Many commentators on reddit are impressed by the shooter and emphasize how real the game looks:
Some even mentioned that they checked several times which subreddit they were in. Some were unsure if they were still in a gaming area or had accidentally stumbled into an airsoft group or a subreddit for combat footage.

Developer wants to make the shooter even more realistic
What does the developer say about the reactions? On Twitter, Spindler thanked for the interest in his game. However, more interesting is his reaction on reddit. Since some users wrote that they had to look twice to realize it was a game, he asked those people a question.
Spindler wanted to know at which moments and details they noticed on the second look that it was a game. He adds that he wants to improve the game at these points (via reddit).

Eville is a new multiplayer title for PC and Xbox, reminiscent of games like Among Us, Goose Goose Duck, and Werewolves. There is a killer among you and you must unveil them.
On October 11, 2022, Eville was released, developed by VestGames, a studio from Germany. The publisher is Versus Evil. You play with friends or strangers as residents of a colorful village.

What kind of game is this? Eville is a multiplayer social deduction game, which sounds more complicated than it is. Depending on the number of players, there is one or more killers who try to eliminate you one by one without getting caught. The rest must figure out who it could be.
Innocent villagers complete tasks within the village, while the killers execute alibi tasks and are secretly trying to kill. Villagers can suddenly find an axe in their face. However, they can continue playing and complete their tasks after death.
Each in-game day, the villagers communicate with each other and decide who should be executed. This works through voice or text chat. Dead players can no longer participate in the discussion.
The goal of Eville is either to kill all villagers as a murderer or to uncover the murders as a villager.

The streamer Adriana Chechik (30) suffered severe injuries at TwitchCon in San Diego, the annual event of the streaming platform Twitch. After an operation, she provided updates to her fans about her health condition.
What accident is being discussed? The company Lenovo Legion held a special event at TwitchCon, which took place from October 7 to 10 in San Diego: Streamers were battling with foam sticks and were to knock each other into a foam pit.

Furthermore, the streamer shared her first steps in her healing process. In physical therapy, she tried to sit up. Despite the medication, she is experiencing indescribable pain. She even said she would rather die than go through this again.
I hate this, my whole body hates this. I don’t want to be brave. I don’t want to be strong. I cried for an hour and the pain is so intense, despite all the medication. I don’t know if I can endure this.
What happens next? The streamer apparently has a long road to recovery ahead of her. On Twitter on October 12, she wrote that she wants to work hard to walk again. Her goal is to go for a hike with her dog (via Twitter).
Despite her pain, Adriana Chechik is apparently trying to make the best out of her situation. The streamer posted that she will have to wear a supportive corset for “a long time” and wants to spruce it up a bit (via Twitter).
What does the streamer have to say to those in charge? Adriana Chechik also stated via Twitter that she finds it “strange” that no one from the event center, the booth where the accident happened, or Twitch itself has wished her well.
She understands that public relations may want to avoid discussing this, but the fact that no one has sent her kind words so far is quite disappointing.
What about legal consequences? There is already discussion online about whether Adriana Chechik could sue those responsible – it is unclear whether it would be the event center, Lenovo, or Twitch itself.
Twitch was acquired by Amazon in 2014. Due to the platform’s success, many people in the comments on Twitter are already anticipating a lot of money in the event of a lawsuit.

The “Morellonomicon” or “Morellos” is an item for champions who focus on health and ability power. The effect “Grievous Wounds” reduces champions’ healing by 25% fundamentally. This increases to 40% healing reduction when the opponent falls below 50% health.
However, it only matters for the healing that happens in the next 4 seconds after the opponent receives magic damage. This effect can be extended by an additional 4 seconds if the item “Liandry’s Anguish” has been purchased.
Why is the item still purchased by the professionals?
What did the item aim against G2? In the first game of Group B between G2 Esports and DWG KIA, the mid-laner of DWG chose the Morellonomicon. Azir was facing Seraphine, who is supposed to ensure longer survival in fights with healing, CC, and poke damage.
For this game, the Morellonomicon only proved to be limitedly beneficial for Azir. The purchase meant that Seraphine could not play as aggressively as she would have wanted. Showmaker was already leading with 3/0/3 at that time. This advantage could have been exploited even more by Showmaker with another item, such as the “Shadowflame”.

Here you can see when the Morellonomicon’s stats kicked in. In the first 6 minutes that Showmaker had the item, only 4 health points of healing were reduced. That’s less than a minion’s attack on the lane.
By the end of the game, a total of 890 healing was reduced. That is quite low for a game lasting 32 minutes.
Is the item suitable for your ranked games? The Morellonomicon is a helpful item when it comes to significantly reducing healing. It refers to healing in combat. This can be especially true for champions like Soraka, Aatrox, Sylas, or Olaf, who heal a lot during the fight.
If the healing occurs after the fight, the item’s effect won’t help you much. It takes up an inventory slot and delays your stronger phase of the game. Even “LS” has commented on the item, reiterating what he has always said about the Morellonomicon, namely that the item has significantly better alternatives.

What’s the catch? The new system comes with two issues. The first is that, according to reports, you can only obtain gems with 2/5 stars. While these gems still fall into the category of the most powerful items (5-star gems), they are at the weakest rank.
The stars can be upgraded, but that involves even more grinding. And already, the grind is enormous. The second issue is that you need 40 pearls for one gem. Since you only get one pearl guaranteed for free per week, that means up to 40 weeks of grinding – or just over 9 months.
This, of course, only applies if you don’t want to spend money. We don’t yet know how many pearls will be available in the events. But expect several months of pure grinding.

Is it worth it? Even though the grind sounds like a lot, according to some hardcore players, it’s better than almost all other options currently available for free-to-play players in the game (via reddit).
You can obtain a 2/5-star gem with the pearls for 32,000 Hilt, and it is worth 32 gem power. You need gem power to upgrade other legendary gems, and it does not matter which gem you “scrap” for this.
The previously best alternative was purchasing Ca’arsen’s Buff, a 1-star gem, or a legendary emblem. Both cost 1,600 Hilt and yield one gem power – or with luck, a little more.
2/5-star gems are indeed highly sought after for upgrading, as they are relatively easy to get. With the pearls, it is a long grind, but still better than the alternatives.

What can you learn from this? Basically, you should always be careful with offers on Amazon or eBay. Especially when a deal looks too good, you should consider whether you really want to buy the product. Because in many cases, the effort and the associated trouble are not worth it.
In the best case, consumer protection programs from eBay or Amazon will protect you, so that you at least get your money back in the most annoying cases. Also, you should always directly test hardware that you buy used. This way, you can be sure that everything works and is as it should be.

Guild Wars 2 is one of the most successful and best MMORPGs on the market. Still, many old players long for a “real successor to Guild Wars 1”. The game from 2005 did many things differently than other MMORPGs of the time, winning the hearts of many players. MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch reveals what was so good about it.
Guild Wars 1 was never a classic MMORPG. The world was divided into dozens of private instances, the max level was just 20, and even in terms of skills and payment model, the game took unusual paths for its time.
Yet these decisions turned out to be a stroke of luck. The development studio ArenaNet was able to build a fan base that is still active in Guild Wars 1 17 years after release and 13 years after the last expansion.
And they still loudly call for a “true Guild Wars 2”.
Who’s speaking here? Alex dove into the world of Guild Wars 1 in 2006 with the release of Factions and has since spent over 10,000 hours on the game. His heart still beats for the game, and the Rift and Underworld are his home, even if he is also close to 10,000 play hours in Guild Wars 2.
Strict separation of PvE and PvP – With great successes
Right at the character creation, the first difference compared to classic MMORPGs awaited. You had the choice between a role-playing character or a PvP character:
The role-playing character started at level 1 in one of the campaigns and you could use him in PvE or PvP. In PvP, however, he only became useful when you reached max level.
PvP characters had max level from the start but could not leave the PvP lobbies.
These options allowed newcomers to start directly in PvP and participate in various arenas. Generally, Guild Wars 1 differed in terms of PvP from other titles of its time. There was no PvP in the open world – also because there was no open world.
PvP only took place in designated arenas.
The first decision in the game: Do I start in PvE or PvP?
What fascinated me most back then was that skill in PvP was the most important factor.
With the PvP characters, level and equipment did not matter much, as you could quickly unlock all relevant skills, and the max equipment was predefined.
However, if you wanted to dominate in Hero’s Ascension or Guild Battles, you needed to put together a good team combo and train with it, train, train, train. I myself had PvP training up to five times a week in its heyday.
PvE was only possible as a group, even if it didn’t necessarily consist of players
If you couldn’t get into PvP, you started as a role-playing character. After a short tutorial covering the basics, it became clear especially for veterans of EverQuest or WoW that Guild Wars 1 was not a classic MMORPG.
Because you only encountered other players in cities. Every area outside the cities was completely instantiated, just like dungeons. You could enter these areas with a group of 1 to initially 4 and later up to 8 players. And you always needed a group.
Of course, it was most fun when the empty slots were filled by other players. Even in simple story quests, you were forced to interact with others. Alone you would walk to a certain death.
If you could not find or did not want to find teammates, you could rely on allies, i.e., NPCs. Later, heroes were introduced – NPCs you could customize and equip. This group system created a very special feeling:
In Guild Wars 1, you were never alone,
you were always dependent on healers,
tactics and positioning always played a role.
The cool thing about the system was that due to instantiation, you never had to wait on mobs. You could simply leave the area and re-enter – ideal for grinders. Additionally, a hard mode for each area was later introduced that you could activate optionally. This is what makes GW1 unique even today.

5 old MMORPGs that are still actively played
Fast to max level, but still a lot to do
If you did not want a long grind but wanted to get to the end-game areas quickly, Guild Wars 1 also made it relatively easy. The max level was only 20 and could be reached in a matter of hours in later campaigns. The max equipment could also easily be bought from a vendor – also requiring very little time.
You could even skip the travel times to new cities, thanks to so-called rushers. They were paid to simply walk from one place to another. Because when a member of the group enters a city or a new area, the entire group is teleported there. Yes, in Guild Wars 1, you were paid to just walk to another location while the buyer was AFK.
However, if you think this meant you quickly reached the end of the game, you are greatly mistaken:
Completing the campaigns (a total of four) took between 5 to 20 hours each.
To unlock all skills – especially the elite skills – challenges had to be mastered, and certain bosses had to be defeated.
There were many elite areas like Underworld, Rift, or Torment’s Gate, which could only be completed with player groups.
In the endgame, everything revolved around fashion and titles. To get the coolest armor skins, you often had to grind weeks or months. Those wanting the famous title “God Among Mortals” had to work on various challenges for years.
By the way, Guild Wars 1 can still be played today, although the player numbers are relatively low and there are no updates:

250 skills per class, dual-classing, and hero setup

Guild Wars 1 already offered around 75 skills per class at launch and the option for a secondary class. As a warrior, I could choose monk as a secondary class and thus use all of the monk’s skills. I could heal myself or shield myself as a melee and tank.
Over time, the classes gained more skills – now there are around 250. Each class has access to all other skills thanks to secondary classes, making it incredibly difficult to reduce the number to eight skills.

From this large pool of possibilities, hardcore theorycrafters then developed the best builds – for solo players but also for groups, NPCs, or PvP teams.
If one wanted, one could spend weeks and months just optimizing builds. If one was lazy, they simply followed the meta, like in the Discord Way with heroes or fixed spike groups in PvP.
However, I have never spent as much time assembling builds and groups in any other MMORPG as I did in Guild Wars 1.
No monthly fees
For me, the decisive factor for Guild Wars 1 in 2006 was the payment model. Because at 13, my mother did not let me sign up for a subscription for WoW. However, Guild Wars 1 only had to be purchased once and you could always play it – later, new expansions were added. It was the forerunner of the Buy2Play model that many games use today.

What are these points? With the “PlayStation Stars” program, you earn points for various tasks. You can redeem these points for various rewards. It’s essentially a new digital currency on the PS4 and PS5.
How long are the points valid? Once you have earned points, they are valid for 24 months. You should redeem them in time, as they will eventually expire.
What do you earn points for? You can earn points through various actions:
By completing specific tasks or “campaigns” from PlayStation.
As a PS Plus subscriber, you receive 4% of your purchases back in points.
For pre-orders in the PS Store, you also receive points. Sony will later credit these points to your account.
What do you not earn points for?
If you buy games in the PS Store and do not have a PS Plus subscription.
If you purchase physical games, for example, on Amazon. You do not earn points for this either.
Kotaku reports that you also do not earn points for certain purchases retroactively.

What rewards are available? The rewards that you can unlock with PlayStation Stars vary greatly. The main content of PlayStation Stars consists of digital collectibles that you can showcase in a display case. Additionally, you can collect points that you can redeem for various items. We will present the individual rewards separately:
Digital Collectibles
What is that? The digital collectibles are either earned as direct rewards for completing campaigns or through exchanging points. You can then showcase these collectibles on your profile. According to Sony, these items will not have any other utility and they are not NFTs. Thus, they are purely cosmetic items without gameplay utility. The showcased collectibles include:

What does this mean for me? We assume that Sony will also revise the players’ profile pages in the future so that users can showcase their trophies and brag about them.

Free Games in the PS Store
What games can you buy? For certain actions, you collect points with PlayStation Stars. You can redeem these points for specific games. However, these games are pre-determined, so you cannot buy random games in the store. Currently, the following games are available:

It Takes Two
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
The Quarry
These games are supposed to be available until the end of 2022. Afterwards, Sony will either offer a new selection of games or expand the existing selection.
What do the games cost? The prices vary significantly. According to the online magazine Gamerant, prices start at 6,250 points for the action game Hades and go up to 17,500 points for the game The Quarry. So you cannot just buy the best game with a handful of points.
With the collected points, you can also obtain free credit for the PS Store. Instead of getting digital collectibles, you can invest your points in new games. Thanks to the credit, you are free to buy a new game, for example.
How many points do I need? The online magazine Gamerant refers to US prices. However, we assume that the prices in Germany will be similar:
For 1,250 points, you get 5 euros credit
For 5,000 points, you get 20 euros credit.
We cannot tell you how often you can redeem the points for credit. However, we assume that you can exchange points for credit multiple times. We will keep you updated when we know more.

The upcoming survival game ARK 2 is set to be included in the Game Pass for 3 years. The information comes from a filing by publisher Snail Games to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
ARK: Survival Evolved is a very popular survival game and fans of the title are eagerly awaiting the sequel. Even though the release of ARK 2 has been delayed, there are now new interesting details available.
The ARK YouTuber GP found a filing by publisher Snail Games to the SEC that gives insight into agreements between Studio Wildcard, the developers of ARK 2, and Microsoft (via YouTube).
Who is GP? GP is an ARK YouTuber with nearly 4,700 subscribers who reports on news related to ARK: Survival Evolved and ARK 2.
In June 2022, GP made headlines when he stated in a video that Studio Wildcard CEO Douglas H. Kennedy had informed him when there would be ‘plenty of new information’ available about ARK 2. When the info drop mentioned by GP occurred, there was only the release date trailer for ARK 2, which announced a delay along with the new Steam page.

What information does the document contain? The document, which is also referenced in a report by the online magazine gamesradar.com, includes a sentence stating that ARK 2 will be included in the Game Pass for three years starting from its release (via sec.report).

The company has also entered into a long-term title licensing agreement (‘Game Pass’) with Microsoft for a period of three years. The company recognizes deferred revenues and amortizes these revenues according to the terms of the respective contract. The agreement was originally entered into in November 2018 between the parties and is valid until December 31, 2021. The agreement was subsequently amended in June 2020 to extend the ARK 1 Game Pass indefinitely effective January 1, 2022, and to include ARK 2 in the Game Pass for three years upon release.
Furthermore, the document indicates that Microsoft paid $2.5 million to keep ARK: Survival Evolved in the Game Pass for the first half of 2022. Additionally, Microsoft is reported to have paid another $2.3 million to ensure that ARK 2 will be in the Game Pass at the time of the release of the survival title.
Alongside Microsoft, Sony is also mentioned in the document. Sony is said to have paid $3.5 million to include ARK: Survival Evolved as part of the PS Plus games in March 2022.

What do the new information mean for ARK fans? The information that ARK 2 will be included in the Game Pass is not new. However, ARK fans can look forward to the 3-year deal with Microsoft on Xbox and PC, as the subscription service allows players to test the game directly at release without having to purchase it at full price.
In contrast to ARK: Survival Evolved, ARK 2 will also feature cross-platform modding, making community-created mods available in ARK 2 on all platforms – even on Xbox consoles – and playable on unofficial servers. This was not possible in the predecessor ARK: Survival Evolved and makes the survival title even more appealing for ‘Game Pass’ subscribers.
Are there any new updates for PlayStation players? Unfortunately, there is currently no new information regarding ARK 2 for PlayStation players, and a release of the survival game for the PS4 or PS5 has not yet been announced. ARK 2 will be released exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC.

What kind of game is it? Hell-O-Ween is a free MMORPG with an unusual story. Halloween is not a festivity but a reality, which is why the world is haunted by monsters. They come from myths that become nightmares in the game’s story. You must defeat them.
The goal of the game is to find Santa Claus to restore peace. The graphics are in vibrant anime style, and with its partly funny skins, the game initially reminds you of Fortnite. Hell-O-Ween focuses on PvE, RPG elements, and MOBA-PvP like in League of Legends.
