America has not played a major role in international tournaments in League of Legends for years. The last time an American team reached the semifinals of the Worlds was in 2018 with Cloud9. Now there are new rumors about the transfers of the team 100 Thieves. And these exactly show why America is so irrelevant.
What are these rumors? 100 Thieves is reportedly planning the new season with two veterans:
The other signing is supposed to be Yilang “Doublelift” Peng for the AD carry position. Doublelift also retired in 2020, but made his comeback already in March 2021. He will turn 30 in July.
Overall, the roster of 100 Thieves would be very old for a LoL esports team. Currently, they still have the jungler Closer (25), the supporter Huhi (27), and the top laner Ssumday (26) in their lineup.
The signing of Doublelift and Bjergsen would confirm this, even though it is still just rumors. While both are good players, they have achieved little internationally. It is unlikely that they will win a major title as they age. Nevertheless, teams swear by them.

Doublelift and Impact played the first Worlds
How old are the pros in America? Doublelift leads the list in America. At almost 30 years old, he belongs to the old guard. He participated in the very first World Championship in LoL in 2011, back then at Dreamhack in Sweden. He finished in 4th place with Epik Gamer.
With Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black, the team FlyQuest probably has the oldest supporter under a professional contract. He is already 30 and has been playing LoL competitively since 2012. His first appearance at the Worlds was in 2015 with CLG.
Another veteran is the Korean Jeong “Impact” Eon-young. He won the Worlds in 2013 with SK T1, the team of superstar Faker. In early 2015, after a disappointing season in Korea, he moved to America. The 27-year-old is still playing there today.
While there are also some exceptional talents internationally who have played successfully for years, such as the aforementioned Faker (26) or the Korean BeryL (25), who won the Worlds in 2020 with DAMWON and in 2022 with DRX. However, established professionals are often mixed with young talents here.
For example, DRX had younger players like Zeka (19), Pyosik (22), and Kingen (22) in their squad and combined them with BeryL and Deft (26). Thus, they secured the title.
America relies on overseas players: It is also noticeable that many professionals from other regions have played in America in recent years. At the Worlds 2022, three American teams participated, with a total of 15 players:
The six players Inspired, Closer, Kaori, Abbedagge, Jesen, and Zven came from Europe.
With Impact, Berserker, Ssumday, and Huhi, there were four Koreans.
There were two Australians, FBI and Fudge.
Only Jojopyun (Canada), Vulcan (Canada), and Blabber (USA) actually came from the region.
For comparison:
All 20 players from Korea came from Korea.
19 out of 20 players from European teams came from Europe. Only Malrang is originally from Korea.
17 out of 20 players from China also came from China – Kanavi, Scout, and Viper are imports from Korea.

CoD Warzone 2: The Best Graphics Settings
Where do these settings come from? These settings come from Brparadox, the Twitter account of P Customs. They manufacture gaming PCs and sell computer parts as well as optimizations for your PCs.
Which settings are important? Now we present the best settings. Go to your settings and open the “Graphics” tab. Three categories will appear. Navigate to the “Graphics” section and set the following settings:
What do these settings do? Warzone 2 is a real FPS killer due to its massive map and gigantic gameplay elements.
Due to all the data that your PC has to calculate, your frames per second are automatically lowered. These settings ensure that the performance of Warzone 2 improves, but at the same time, you have no disadvantages because your graphics are a bit worse.
In Pokémon GO, many trainers have been waiting for a way to chat with each other and arrange raids. Campfire is supposed to make that possible now. Our MeinMMO author Franzi Korittke has tried out the new app and shows you how it works.
Which app is it about? After trainers of Pokémon GO have been demanding a chat function for many years to plan raids or level-ups together, Niantic has now developed a new app that aims to make that possible: Campfire.
With it, you should be able to network not only within Pokémon GO but also across the various Niantic games. I took a closer look at the new app and will show you how it works.
[toc]
How to get access to Campfire
What is Campfire? Campfire is an app from Niantic that revolves around communication between players of the various Niantic games. With it, you can chat, join groups, and send smoke signals when you want to play raids.
How do you get access to Campfire? Basically, Campfire is not yet available for all players. To use the app, you currently need an invitation from another player who is already using the app. Download Campfire in advance from your Play Store or App Store.
To get access, you can post in specific Campfire threads on reddit. The concept of the thread is quite simple: You express that you want an invitation to Campfire and wait for a message from another reddit user.
You exchange your trainer code from the game with this person so they can send you a friend request and eventually invite you to Campfire as well. Depending on how many requests are ahead of you in the reddit post, it may take a while.
If you have successfully registered for Campfire, a small green symbol will appear on the right side of the screen in Pokémon GO. You can use this to switch directly to Campfire. Additionally, you now have the opportunity to invite other players yourself. The mentioned reddit thread, for example, assumes that you will continue the concept and invite the next users.
How to invite friends to Campfire
How can you send invitations? To send an invitation to another trainer, you must already be friends with them in one of your Niantic games. If that is the case, you can click on the round symbol with the person in the bottom right corner of Campfire.
You will now see in the orange box how many of your friends are already using Campfire. Clicking on it will display them. If your desired friend is not listed here, you can invite other trainers from your friends list using the “Add Friends” button.
Invite friends to Campfire
How many invitations can be sent? Currently, each trainer has a maximum of 5 invitations available that they can send to friends from their friends list. Therefore, it is best not to send invitations indiscriminately, but to ask people in advance if they even want access to Campfire.
Using Campfire – Raids and Chats
How do you indicate that you want to do raids? As soon as you open Campfire, you land on a map view. All stops and arenas in your vicinity will be displayed, and ongoing raids will also be shown there. Alternatively, you can access this mode by clicking on the map symbol.
If you find a raid nearby that you would like to participate in but are looking for teammates, you can simply click on the corresponding arena in Campfire. You can then join the arena. This opens a chat window through which you can coordinate with other players around the raids and send signals.
Send signals to alert others about raids
Your signal lasts for 15 minutes after setting and then automatically ends. If you are still looking for like-minded individuals, you can set it again.
Based on the orange borders around a raid boss on the map, you can also recognize signals from other players and join the respective arena if interested.
How to chat with other trainers
In Campfire, you have several options for writing to other players. One option, which only exists temporarily, is the chat function at arenas. However, if you want to stay in touch with your teammates permanently, you can do this either through a private chat or a group chat.
This is how the private chat works: To start a private chat, you must be friends with the respective trainer in one of the Niantic games and they must also use Campfire. If that is the case, you can select them from your friend list and click “Send Message”.
Once you have had contact with each other, all messages will be displayed by clicking on the speech bubble at the bottom of the screen. Alternatively, you can also start a new chat through the speech bubble. To do this, click on the pencil symbol in the bottom corner and select the desired trainer.
This is how you can send direct messages to friends
If the respective player is not yet connected to Campfire themselves, you cannot write directly with them yet. It is best to send them an invitation.
This is how group chats work: If someone has a local community that prefers to communicate in Campfire, they can also use groups for communication. To do this, click on the symbol with the two people.
The group menu will now open. Here you will initially see numerous groups that have already been created. By clicking on the “Join” button, you can become a member there and exchange information via so-called channels.
These have been created by the group admins and offer users, similar to Discord, better orientation and a clear structure for the group. For example, in the group “Pokemon GO Official”, you can use the channel “lets-be-friends” to meet new trainer friends.
This is what the group menu looks like
Create your own groups: If the group you are looking for is not in the list, you can alternatively create your own group and invite your friends to it. To do this, click on “Create Group” in the group menu. Now you just need to give it a name and make a few settings, and you have your very own group.
You can then add your friends to the group using the “Invite” button. However, anyone who is not yet using Campfire will also need an invitation to the app. Additionally, it is also advisable in your own groups to structure communication better by assigning channels.
My personal conclusion about Campfire
What I liked a lot: I think it’s great that Campfire finally provides the opportunity to directly contact other trainers. This is especially worthwhile if you often participate in raids together or want to arrange friendship level-ups.
I also find it great to set signals to indicate interest in a raid. Especially when you’re in a region where you don’t know anyone, this way you can more easily find teammates who can support you in a raid.
Moreover, you can move the map. So you see – unlike in Pokémon GO – not just a small part, but can also push it, for example, to the neighboring town and see what raids are taking place there.
Additionally, the group function allows you to connect with other players in your area whom you may not have been able to contact before because they are not in the typical local WhatsApp groups. At the same time, there is no obligation to be friends with these people in the game or to share private contact details, as is common in many messaging services.
This is what still needs to be improved: The biggest sticking point for me with Campfire is that it is still a standalone app. You always have to switch back and forth to write, which is especially annoying when you want to do a raid together.
I miss an overlay function through which you can also write to players while you are already in the raid lobby. It would be practical to also receive last-minute registrations from other players or be able to report issues while participating in a remote raid so that you might wait a moment for the raid.
Also, signals at arenas should be integrated directly into Pokémon GO in my view. If you don’t receive a corresponding notification that a signal is active nearby, you might miss it, even if you were in the game.
Can I recommend the new app? I can basically recommend Campfire since I really like the many different functions. Finally, you can chat with other trainer friends, join local groups without everyone having my personal data, and I can show that I want to do a raid.
However, since Campfire is not yet easily accessible through a simple registration, unfortunately not many players are active in my area. This makes the use quite manageable at the moment. Often, contact with these people already exists through other means, which makes it difficult to establish new contacts in my region at the moment.
However, this hopefully changes with the official release. When that will happen, and you can also secure Campfire without an invitation, is currently still unknown. If there are new updates on this, you will definitely find out from us on MeinMMO.
Do you already have access to Campfire? If so, how do you like the new app? Let us know in the comments.
In the Extraction mode DMZ of Call of Duty: Warzone 2, it’s all about loot, equipment, and the will to survive. Additionally, you can unlock a new weapon here – the assault rifle M13B. However, such modes can also bring out the worst in people.
Call of Duty is trying to carve out its niche in the extraction shooter market with its free DMZ mode. You start at a point on the vast Warzone map Al Mazrah, fight through NPCs, gather equipment, and then get extracted from the combat zone by a helicopter – or at least that’s the plan.
But the NPCs are nasty and can take you out quickly if you’re not careful. Moreover, other players are also running around the map with similar goals as you.
With the new assault rifle M13B, even multiplayer players of CoD MW2 show interest in starting the major mode. But you should never feel too secure when leaving the map – everyone wants to get the weapon.
We show you how to get the M13B in the DMZ mode in a short video:

CoD Warzone 2: Assault Rifle M13B unlock in DMZ mode – Here’s how to get it
Players are like vultures at the extraction point
Once you declare your mission in the DMZ as completed, head to one of the 3 extraction points on the map. Here, you give a helicopter a short signal and have to wait for a moment for pickup.
This draws a lot of attention. Enemies can suddenly come from all corners like startled animals, aiming for your loot.
Especially because of the M13B assault rifle, this can be particularly worthwhile at the moment. After all, it saves you from having to fight against the chemist in the radiation zone. Without an appropriate gas mask, this can be quite a hassle.
On Reddit, there’s a clip where the user “RealWildFlesh” along with a teammate rushes to an extraction point and cold-bloodedly takes out the two players who were just trying to leave with the helicopter. The new M13B was also part of the loot:

The thread creator apologizes in the title of the thread, but his actions in the video say otherwise. Without heart or shame, the two victims are dealt with and stripped to the last. Even the extraction helicopter is stolen.
But that’s part of the extraction mode DMZ – it’s exactly these stories that such a mode tells. User “FaFa_1018” would know exactly what to do in that situation: “I would gather the Avengers to find you if I were you. Holy s*****e.”
Often, however, the terror begins even earlier: Don’t carelessly approach the extraction points. Even in “Escape from Tarkov”, the first hype game in the extraction genre, the so-called “extraction campers” are considered one of the biggest plagues.
They wait near the target points just to have fully looted players do the work for them, only to ambush them unexpectedly at the extraction point.

Shortly before the launch of the new expansion Dragonflight, MeinMMO met with the developers of World of Warcraft for an interview. The focus was mainly on endgame features, the story of Dragonflight, and the new UI.
After we discussed the talents and features of Dragonflight in the last interview, this time the discussion focused more on the story and content for players at max level.
Our conversation partners were Morgan Day, Associate Game Director, and Laura Sardinha, Lead UI Designer. An exciting insight from the interview: Much of what is new in Dragonflight is intended to serve all future expansions as well.
MeinMMO: Something easy to start with: How long does a new player starting fresh with Dragonflight take to reach level 70?
Morgan Day: With Shadowlands, we introduced the Isle of the Exiled, a new starter experience for players with the goal of creating a real Warcraft experience but at the same time providing a bit more consistency for exactly the question you just asked. We know exactly how long it takes you to get through the island – roughly.
After that, you are sent to Battle for Azeroth. I recently looked at some reddit threads where people explain that they reach from level 10 to 60 in about 4 hours. That is quite fast. And from there to Dragonflight, from 60 to 70, it depends on who you ask how long it takes.
I know a few people from the beta who wanted to be as fast as possible and were very quick – maybe a few hours. And then there are people who read every quest, do every side quest, want to find every treasure. It depends on the person how long it takes. It can go very quickly, under 10 hours I would say, or you just take your time, absorb everything, enjoy the new zones. […] Enjoy the journey.
The required experience for levels 10-60 has been massively reduced, by the way. In the beta, players even managed to reach level 60 in just over 3 hours.
MeinMMO: You mentioned the consistency and that players can better start into World of Warcraft. Are you planning to bring a summary of the lore so far into the game for players who are coming in now and know absolutely nothing? Like about Cataclysm, which will certainly be quite important.
Morgan Day: That is an interesting question. There is Chromie Time for players who want to choose different expansions while leveling. That is one way for them to see and play the lore that is available. World of Warcraft is over 15 years old, there is so much story.
Creating a single source for all this story would be a huge challenge and would likely not do justice to all the depth. There is nothing like: ‘Last time on World of Warcraft…’ or something, like in TV shows [laughs].
But we are always looking for ways for players to discover that in the game, and we think Chromie Time is an excellent way to do it. Now with Dragonflight, with the pre-event and the quests that lead you there, hopefully that helps provide the context and all the knowledge you need to navigate the Dragon Isles and Dragonflight.
Laura Sardinha: In Shadowlands, we introduced the campaigns and the lore book that you see in the quest log. We have plans to add stories from the old campaigns, all that epic stuff that happened there.
If a player really wants to know more about the lore in the future, it will be easier with this system to see everything your character has experienced. That will be stored. We know players love the lore and the story, so we want to provide a better UI for that in the future.
If you need tutoring: MeinMMO demon Cortyn has compiled the most important story snippets for you:
MeinMMO: About leveling itself, there were complaints in the beta that players could not reach level 70 solely through the campaign. That has changed since then. How do you decide how many experience points one gets, or how do you get people to look at side quests?
Laura Sardinha: In Dragonflight, we want players to play the campaign as in Shadowlands. In Shadowlands, the side quests were also very interesting, but players only focused on the campaign just to finish it.
But in Dragonflight, we tried to find a balance. An example from the Azure Mountains. The Tuskarr are a side quest. But there will be a small hook in the campaign that leads you to them, to the tribe and the side quests with nice rewards like toys and mounts. That is intended to encourage doing these side quests. We will see how that goes. […]
Even after the campaign, there is still a lot of content and things to do. That is something we are currently experimenting with.
What is actually included in Dragonflight?
MeinMMO: In comparison to Shadowlands, how much content is there in Dragonflight at level 70?
Laura Sardinha: We have Glory, similar to Shadowlands, but this time you don’t have to choose anyone; you can work with everyone. In the campaign, you meet the factions: we have the Dragonscale Expedition, the Tuskarr, the Centaur, Valdrakken Accord …
Whatever you want. Do you like the Tuskarr? Great. But you also like the dragons from the capital? Just work with both. Through the campaign, you will be introduced to the Glory system. There are cool rewards for that, and it will keep you busy for a long time.
[The system] also helps you with professions. And Morgan can certainly tell you more about equipment and such.
Morgan Day: Not only is there this faction system that Laura talked about, but you also unlock new chapters of the story campaign through Glory. I can’t go into too much detail, but this is most of the content that players haven’t seen in the beta yet. […]
But aside from that stuff in the open world, we have our usual selection of Mythic+ dungeons, where we are doing things a little differently than usual. There are not only Dragonflight dungeons but also favorites from previous expansions that we’ve updated […]
There is the Vault of the Incarnate, our new raid with 8 bosses, where players will face Razagath, the Storm Eater, one of the “Incarnates,” about whom you will learn more while leveling.
And lastly, the overhaul of professions. We haven’t completely revamped them in a while. There was never an opportunity to build an identity that relates to the chosen profession.
If you are, for example, a dwarf, but don’t want to be a warrior – even though that’s your class – but actually want to define yourself by blacksmithing. Then be a dwarf blacksmith. Now there’s plenty of stuff you can do for that: progress, talents… become a blacksmith and specialize in armor, then you can forge better chest armors than any other player on the server. […]
The choice makes it exciting. We want players to have many options and be able to choose what they want to explore. Do you want to be more of a dungeon crawler, experience quests and story, or try your hand at PvP?
In the video, you can find all the information about Dragonflight in 3 minutes:

Glory is less annoying than you think: ‘Nothing is exclusive’
MeinMMO: Regarding the Glory system, which was quite unpopular in Shadowlands. Why did you keep it and how have you improved it?
Laura Sardinha: The UI will be very similar. It was also quite useful to see your progress and everything. But it relied heavily on the covenant; you had to use it, switching was difficult… We’re not doing that anymore. It will be more organic.
Work with the major factions, check your Glory and see right through the interface on the minimap where you are, what you want to get. Let’s say the Tuskarr have a mount that you want. Then go [to the menu] and check your Glory. You don’t have to talk to any NPC or anything. […] See a preview of the mount and then plan your day so you can farm the Glory.
It is meant to be very flexible, and from there we want to see where it develops, listen to feedback. We hope it will be received more positively this time.
MeinMMO: Is it necessary to farm Glory like in Shadowlands, where actual power was locked behind it, or is it more of a reputation system?
Laura Sardinha: It’s like reputation, yes.
Morgan Day: The word ‘Glory’ is the same, but the systems behind it and what you have to do to interact with it is very different. In Shadowlands, each covenant had its Glory and you had to choose one, could only earn Glory there.
In Dragonflight, you can work on all major factions at the same time. That is a really big difference between a made choice and options that are available. […]
We learned something important in Shadowlands. Let’s say you are the kind of player who just logs in for raids, hangs out with friends and then disappears. The classic raid logger. In Shadowlands, there were many things that felt like you had to do them to be able to raid.
If you put ‘exclusive power’ into such things so that you can only get it there – a Legendary, for example – we improved that. In the world [of Dragonflight], you can get quite strong stuff, at the end of the Glory levels, for example. Or you can use a crafting reagent to bring an item’s item level to heroic level.
But those are just options. Those are ways to get items, and there are a bunch of other ways to get there. Players should realize: ‘Yes, this is how I get upgrades if I want.’ Or maybe you are a player for whom this is the only way to get heroic items at all.
Those are cool options, but none of it is exclusive. Those are just different paths to the same goal.
By the way, I had exactly the feeling described by Morgan Day that there was too much to do:
MeinMMO: A little more about the lore. The aspects claim to have lost most of their power after Cataclysm. But they have actually continued as if nothing happened: time travel, bringing life back to land… How weak are the aspects really?
Morgan Day: That is a great question for Steve Danuser [laughs] Not exactly my expertise. But that is one of the important stories you can discover as you travel through the Dragon Isles. And that is something I personally really love.
Each zone has its associated dragonflock and you learn a little more about what has happened to the aspects there. Whether it’s the black dragonflock in the first zone or, my personal favorite, the plains of Ohn’ahra, where you learn all sorts of things about the green dragonflock.
There is a ton of lore for the respective dragonflocks, and much is revealed while we experience the story and rebuild the strength of the aspects. That is the red thread we want to explore.
And the team has really done a great job of incorporating ways to learn more in the zones. There are tons of conversation options with NPCs that you don’t even need for quests, but tell more about the Dragon Isles or the flocks. […]
MeinMMO: To go a little deeper: in the intro cinematic you gave us a first look at the first raid boss instead of the big bad guy of the expansion, as is usually the case. Where is the story going? Will we meet more Primal Incarnates?
Morgan Day: That drives us at the beginning of the expansion. Who are these Incarnates? Razagath was freed, and she is not the only one; she has brothers and sisters who are just as powerful or more powerful than she is.
That brings a lot of depth. What happens with these Incarnates? Back in the days of Galakrond, they rejected the gift of the Titans, turned away from them. The aspects we know, however, followed the path of the Titans.
There are many nuances as to why the two factions go different ways, and that is one of the main elements we want to explore. Not only with the Incarnates themselves, their plans and why they defy the Titans. It is very easy to spoil here. But that is one of the driving forces.
There is already a lot of speculation around the story:
MeinMMO: So we will also learn a little more about the Titans, I guess?
Morgan Day: Yes, one of the main quests at max level takes place in Tyrhold, a place in Thaldraszus. There is a facility of the Titans there, and through the story there we will be able to learn more.
MeinMMO: In one of the new cinematics, Alexstrasza flinched when Nozdormu mentioned “Iridikron’s Hunger.” What is that, does that relate to Galakrond’s cannibalism?
Morgan Day: That’s a very good question and very deep in the spoiler area. [laughs] But I’m glad you noticed that. A lot of time and effort goes into those little details. Maybe there’s a small foreshadowing there, but I don’t want to reveal anything yet.
Here you can see the corresponding cinematic:
Start video
WoW Cinematic: The Unleashed Storm
MeinMMO: Do you have plans to utilize the Caverns of Time again? After all, we are already working with the bronze dragonflock.
Morgan Day: As you may have noticed, there is a pretty large bronze shrine in Thaldraszus. There are a few quests there, and there are some opportunities for us to explore that place further. What is behind these big doors? […]
Or with all the awakening and what is happening on the Dragon Isles, what happens in the Caverns of Time? Every dragonflock will play a role in the expansion and the upcoming story. But I can’t go into detail, but I like the idea.
New features are ‘for new players, for casuals, for everyone simply’
MeinMMO: A little more about the UI, because I struggled with it myself. What was the biggest challenge when creating the new UI?
Laura Sardinha: We were very glad that we now had the opportunity to overhaul the entire UI. We wanted to update our tools, how we build that in the background and such. This will also be good for addon creators. It will be easier and much better to create addons.
Our goal is not to remove addons. We just want to ensure that the standard UI is good for new players, for casuals, for everyone simply. […] We should have an editing mode; that’s kind of ‘normal’ these days. That’s why we wanted that for new players. It should feel modern, comfortable, and easy to use.
But it should also cater to players who have been around for a long time and are used to something like this through addons. We want to make sure everyone can enjoy [the new UI], and the challenge was to make it easy to use as well.
There aren’t many really complex menus and options, but we want to build more after this. We are collecting feedback from the community, want to know what they are missing from all perspectives. […]
There is still a lot to do, and we are working on it.
MeinMMO: I have received feedback from my guild and from myself that there are a few things that just drive you crazy – for example, that certain elements cannot be moved. Why have you not introduced some functions or hidden them behind scripts?
Laura Sardinha: That was more a matter of time. We will certainly bring all of this in the next update; you’ll then be able to move your experience bar, bags, and certain buttons.
We will bring more options later for the size of the minimap, and we have received feedback that icons are too small. Some people cannot see the numbers. We want to make sure there are options for that.
We are already paying attention to that. But it was a matter of time that we could finish everything and publish it without bugs in the pre-patch. But more updates are coming with all the adjustments.
Morgan Day: This also applies to all content. The UI, talents, crafting – we are still at the beginning. We wanted a solid foundation from which we could expand and grow in Dragonflight and future expansions.
These features will improve the future of WoW forever, not just for Dragonflight.
MeinMMO: Thank you for the answers!
Dragonflight will be released on November 29, 2022. From then on, you can travel the Dragon Isles and learn about the dragons, the aspects, and the new enemies we can meet. I’ve played a bit in the beta already, and the pre-patch excites me:
The new MMO Crimson Desert was announced in 2019 as the successor to Black Desert. It was originally supposed to be released in 2021, but has been postponed indefinitely. Now the developers revealed that the release is set for the second half of 2023. It is currently unclear whether it will be released only in Korea or worldwide.
What kind of game is it exactly? Crimson Desert will be a mix of single-player game and MMORPG. You will take on the role of Macduff (featured image) and his mercenaries, who are supposed to introduce you to the story of the world. Combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving will be the focus.
After the solo campaign, you will be able to create your own character and experience multiplayer content, including:
Open-world events for multiple players
Dungeons
Fortress battles that are supposed to scale with large player counts
The game has a dark and bloody tone. In the gameplay trailer, there are also some instances that clearly hint at betrayal and intrigues. Even in the lore texts, intrigues are mentioned – the contrast of “wild north” vs. “fancy south” is addressed.
You can watch the first gameplay footage of Crimson Desert here:

Pearl Abyss aims to release Crimson Desert in 2023, forgoing major announcements
What do the developers say about the release? Pearl Abyss, the company behind Black Desert and also Crimson Desert, recently presented the latest quarterly results. In the accompanying conference call, upcoming games were also discussed:
Crimson Desert is set to be released in the second half of 2023. The company’s focus is on completing and releasing the game swiftly.
What makes us skeptical? Although Crimson Desert is supposed to be released in 2023, Pearl Abyss has missed an important moment to draw attention to it. Currently, the G-Star is taking place, the largest gaming fair in Korea.
The release date was only mentioned during the call. There was also a curious moment where in a presentation by Pearl Abyss a few days before the fair old assets of Crimson Desert were used, which still had the word “MMORPG” visible. As a new player in Destiny 2, everything is great. One discovers the worlds, finds cool weapons, and has a ton of tasks ahead to become stronger. But then begins what eventually befalls all Destiny players: The more familiar you become with Bungie’s loot-shooter, the more it starts to annoy you. That is exactly the moment when you have understood Destiny 2.
The exciting beginnings: I remember well my first experience in Destiny 2. It was the recommendation of a long-time friend. So I tried out this new loot-shooter for me, when it could be explored for free during Forsaken.
My initial entry into the game was not New Light, but still one of those captivating stories, as only Bungie can tell. I had to face my fate in the Red War, where I was robbed of the Light and thus my powers by a power-hungry Cabal named Ghaul.
Above me was the giant sphere, of which I also had no idea what or who it exactly was. But that didn’t matter, because it needed my help after all.
In earlier times, the Traveler was still destroyed and debris orbited it.
Without Light, I grabbed loot everywhere with shining eyes and found everything completely fantastic.
There was much to do while small text snippets and voice lines painted a picture of the present and the task of my own character.
Every new weapon, especially Exotic ones, feels great, rounded off by a unique sound and a distinctive shooting behavior.
Destiny 2 also has beautifully designed worlds. Every corner of the game needs to be explored in detail.
This is how many hours pass in Destiny 2, where you can easily forget the time. For a while, this goes excellently, and you are completely satisfied.
The repetition of endgame activities because that’s boring and no longer provides a challenge.
The drop chance of 0.000000001% for the new raid exotic, which still doesn’t appear after the 50th run.
The PvP, because it has an unbalanced meta along with matchmaking issues, spam of abilities, and cheaters are common.
The fact that at Bungie it can sometimes take quite a long time to formulate and prepare effective changes for annoying problems.
By now, the beautiful worlds and even the wonderful music of Destiny 2 have become secondary. The exciting feeling of curiosity and discovery gives way to disenchantment, and you forget what you once loved about Destiny 2.
Once, old DLC content was still frequently moved into the content vault in Destiny 2.
As a Destiny veteran, it is now essential to loudly complain that there is too little and incorrect content, hardly any attention to major problems of the game is present, and a significant cheating problem exists. Then fatigue sets in. You get tired of the champions and the artificial difficulty during leveling or in activities makes things no better.
Shortly thereafter, you vent your frustration in one of the Destiny communities to come to the conclusion with other players, “I hate Destiny 2!”.
If you feel the same way: no worries! This is the usual pattern that many players in Destiny who have been around for a while experience at least once. And it is also the best sign that you are about to fully understand the bizarre ups and downs of gameplay in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 gets so much criticism because it is good
At the farm with Tyra’s chickens, Cayde-6’s best friend would have felt right at home.
Destiny 2 is not free of problems. It is also not at the top of gaming charts or the most streamed games. Nevertheless, the game has quietly simmered in the background as a top-10 shooter for years because developer Bungie is very good at what it does.
Destiny 2 weapons are not only fun but also fun to earn.
Characters can be customized in many ways, from their appearance to armor synthesis – players like how their characters look and behave.
The graphics of Destiny 2 are among the best I know.
Sound is also special in Destiny 2. There are many outstanding scores.
Exciting and deep lore stories that also contain personal experiences of well-known NPCs, where you support or let your favorites go.
Destiny 2 is also a game where being with friends and especially improving together is important.
Supported by Bungie, great community-created companion apps have emerged, which have improved quality of life.
However, these things are sometimes best recognized when you demonize the game or have taken a little break from it. Interestingly, it is like the story of Destiny itself: It is about two sides of a coin of light and shadow, with which you, as a Destiny player, constantly have to deal.
The return to Destiny 2 is never completely excluded: At some point, Bungie announces a new interesting seasonal story mission. Maybe you also learned that the big saga of light and darkness in the game is being continued. Or a friend asks you to join them for XYZ.
So you log in again and realize: Destiny 2 is like the well-worn spot on the sofa or your cozy favorite hoodie. You run, glide, or hover around a bit, and that feeling from back when you felt how good the gameplay felt in this game is back. Plus a few repetitive new tasks with new triumphs, stylish armor, and collectibles, and you’re back in the game. Until this cycle starts again.
So whoever has understood the “I hate Destiny. It is my favorite game.” syndrome will see the whole game much more relaxed.
My personal experience in Destiny 2 is not quite this extreme path. I think Destiny 2 absolutely needs criticism to develop further. However, I do without unnecessary elitism or a strong sense of entitlement.
A game that has been around for as long as Destiny 2 does not have to be outstanding all the time and deliver top content non-stop. Bugs and issues are found in other games too, and they are simply part of every game.
Moreover, we all want to play other games as well, and a little break, like the one we have just before the new Season 19, can come in handy.
What does one do when two teams from the same clan meet in the Trials? – Photos!
Friends are important for Destiny 2: If you want to avoid the huge rush from the beginning, I recommend joining one of the many Destiny 2 clans. I started my first steps solo as well. But after a few months, you need a fireteam or support depending on the activity, for raids and dungeons.
Anyone who is not a LFG team hopper like me and wants to constantly search for players online finds not only connection in a clan but perhaps also new friends. And in times when the game has little to offer, it is these groups that significantly improve even the most boring gamer days. I also find it great to hear about the experiences of new players and to support them in their quests so that they can understand the game faster.
Anyone who can enjoy the game with a little distance and takes a break from Destiny now and then gets along well with the current content that Bungie offers.
I, for one, am still very curious after 5 years of playing Destiny 2 how the journey of my Guardian ends in The Final Shape or continues. Even if I can’t imagine and don’t want to think about what it will be like when the light and dark saga is one day no longer there and officially ends.
Have you also imagined what it might be like when Destiny 2 is no longer there? And how did you discover Destiny 1 or 2 back then? Do you remember your first steps in the game? Feel free to tell us in the comments, and whether you play with friends or prefer solo.

The Twitch streamer Asmongold is considered a true WoW nerd. In a new livestream, he impressed many viewers with his knowledge. He plays the WoW version of Geoguessr and hits the correct area every time, often even precisely.
What kind of game was it? In Geoguessr, the goal is to determine where you are on Earth based on images of an environment. This is easily possible thanks to modern recording techniques like Google Streetview.
What was so impressive about Asmongold’s performance? The Twitch streamer looked at a picture and knew within seconds which area he was in. He also refrained from the option to move in different directions and relied solely on the one screenshot he got.
Although he did not always hit the exact point where the screenshot was taken, he was always in the correct area in all 15 attempts.
Asmongold repeatedly says in the video sentences like “that’s obvious” or “we all know where that is”. Apparently, many viewers did not know this, as they were impressed by the streamer’s knowledge in the chat and also in the comments on YouTube.

Praise for Asmongold, but also for the game designers
How do the viewers react? They are very enthusiastic. In the live chat, users wrote things like “he is a WoW god” or “finally, the 18 years of WoW are worth it” and surprised emotes were posted again and again. Some joke that Asmongold knows more about WoW than about his immediate neighborhood.
In the comments on YouTube, there is also recognition for Asmongold, but even more for the game designers. Because they have managed to create a world that is memorable:
Leinoni Bishop writes: “A big shoutout to the game designers who created such an immersive world that we can look at the sky, the color of the sand, or a rock along a path and know exactly where it is on the vast world map.”
Michael Thomas is also thrilled: “When I see this game, I have to think about the great work Blizzard has done over the years to create unique areas. I may not be able to name exact points, but I almost always know the areas.”
2022 will be the first year in a long time that the global gaming market shrinks. That’s what market researchers say. For many years, revenue figures had been steadily increasing, with the revenues of 2020 and 2021 particularly high due to COVID-related lockdowns, but 2022 marks the break of that trend. It will be a corrective year. Revenue on PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile shrinks.
Market researchers say: According to researchers from Newzoo, the gaming market will shrink in 2022 compared to 2021. It is estimated:
the gaming market will generate a total of $184.4 billion in 2022 (down from $192.7 billion in 2021) – that is 4.3% less than in 2021.
What is the basis for these numbers? Newzoo states it has analyzed the financial results of 150 publicly traded companies, focusing on the first 6 months of the calendar year 2022.

MeinMMO at gamescom 2022 – Here are our highlights
After 2 very hot years, 2022 will be a rather cold year in gaming
What is causing the shrinkage? Newzoo says: 2022 is a “corrective year,” as the gaming market was significantly boosted in 2020 and 2021 due to the lockdowns resulting from the fight against the global COVID pandemic:
Therefore, 2020 and 2021 were much stronger in gaming than originally projected.
However, 2022 is now slightly below the expectations that were set in 2020 for growth in the coming years.
Overall, gaming from 2020 to 2022 has grown significantly more than projected before the pandemic, and is expected to grow again in the coming years.
For 2025, growth is anticipated again.
Consoles and mobile shrink – PC grows slightly
Where is gaming not declining? According to Newzoo, PC gaming will not decline in 2022, but will grow slightly by 0.5% compared to 2021.
This is because PC gaming does not rely on hits as much as other platforms: The top games would run on PC for years. There continues to be growth in China and Japan.
Who is hit hardest? According to Newzoo, the mobile market is hit hardest by the shrinkage: Compared to 2021, the market would shrink by 6.4%.
Especially in the second half of 2021, people invested a lot of money in mobile gaming, which is not expected in the second half of 2022, according to Newzoo.
The console market is also expected to be 4.2% worse.
The PC stands its ground even in the crisis.
First shrinkage since records began
What is special about this shrinkage? The special thing is that market researchers cannot pinpoint when the gaming market last shrank.
Newzoo states that the gaming market is now shrinking year over year for the first time since records began. The company has been around since 2007.
Other market researchers, the group “Ampere Analytics,” had already published data in July 2022 showing that the gaming market more than doubled from $95 billion in 2015 to $191 billion in 2021, in just 6 years.
Ampere Analytics stated that gaming is not immune to economic turbulence such as inflation or recession. It is “inevitable” that gaming will be negatively affected by this. However, games still offer a lot of value for the money, so gaming is likely shielded from the worst impacts of a global market slowdown.
Overall, however, market researchers believe that the shrinkage in 2022 is only an exception, and that gaming will continue to grow.
Perhaps gaming will also grow in 2023 based on these MMORPGs:
At least 15 movies, series, and animated adaptations of popular video games are currently planned for the streaming platform Netflix. We at MeinMMO provide you with an overview of which of your favorite games you might be able to watch as a series or movie on Netflix soon.
In 2022, Netflix already proved that adaptations of video games don’t always have to be a disaster. From the LoL spin-off Arcane to the dystopian anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and the zany Cuphead show in nostalgia style, the streaming platform has become a promising hub for gaming adaptations.
While the competition from HBO Max with The Last of Us and Amazon with Fallout is also slowly waking up, Netflix is already in the midst of preparations for 15 more projects that we will present to you here.
What is known about the adaptation? In 2020, publisher Ubisoft announced a series adaptation in cooperation with Netflix. It is supposed to be an “epic, genre-crossing” live-action film.
More “Assassin’s Creed” content is already in the works. Among other things, a mobile game was announced during the “Ubisoft Forward” showcase in September, which is also to be developed in collaboration with Netflix. An animated series is also planned.
Beyond Good & Evil
What is known about the adaptation? The adaptation is supposed to be a mix of live-action and animation. How exactly this will look is not yet known, however, a concept trailer hinted that actors could be transferred into the animated world via motion capture.
Rob Letterman, who already skillfully merged reality and CG in Detective Pikachu, is responsible for the adaptation (via What’s on Netflix).
BioShock
What is known about the adaptation? In February 2022, Netflix announced that it had reached an agreement with BioShock publisher 2K Games and parent company Take-Two Interactive. A live-action adaptation of the series is to be created under the guidance of Vertigo Entertainment.
Vertigo Entertainment is also behind films like The Lego Movie and the anime adaptation Death Note. Initially, it is supposed to be a film, although there are also rumors of a series.
Castlevania: Nocturne
What is known about the adaptation? Unlike other entries on this list, there is already a Netflix adaptation of Castlevania. The animated series in anime style followed Trevor Belmont, the protagonist of the fourth entry in the Castlevania series.
In June 2022, Castlevania: Nocturne, the successor to the successful series, was announced. The plot is supposed to follow Richter Belmont, the descendant of Trevor and Sypha from the first series. He is likely known to fans from the games Rondo of Blood and Symphony of Night.
As showrunner, Kevin Kolde takes over, who was also involved in the first series.

What is known about the adaptation? Adi Shankar, the executive producer of the Castlevania series on Netflix, announced in 2018 that he had acquired the rights to an animated series for Devil May Cry. The script for the first season is already said to be finished and will include 8 episodes.
The production was supposed to begin in early 2022, but there is still no date for the airing.
Dragon Age: Absolution
What is known about the adaptation? The animated adaptation of the RPG classic from BioWare is set to come to Netflix on December 9. In six episodes of 30 minutes each, the story of the young elf Miriam, who is supposed to steal a valuable artifact, is told.

Dragon’s Lair
What is known about the adaptation? In spring 2020, the live-action adaptation of the retro game Dragon’s Lair was announced. Ryan Reynolds was named as the producer and star of the series.
When asked about the project, Reynolds stated on November 8 during a conversation with Collider that the adaptation would likely be a big surprise for many people. He was not sure if anything of this magnitude had ever been attempted before, said the actor.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
What is known about the adaptation? In addition to his work on Devil May Cry, Adi Shankar is also developing an animated series based on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The series will be titled Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.
The hero of the series is supposed to be the cybernetic super-soldier Dolph Laserhawk. What is special about the project is that, according to Shankar’s own statement, he is supposed to have complete freedom to remix the IP from publisher Ubisoft.
Gears of War
What is known about the adaptation? Netflix has secured the rights to two adaptations of Gears of War. The third-person shooter is to be seen as a feature film and an adult cartoon. On November 7, Netflix confirmed that both projects are in progress.
Netflix will collaborate with the developer of Gears of War, The Coalition, but so far no filmmakers, directors, writers, or actors have been committed. However, there is potential for more stories to follow.
Horizon Zero Dawn
What is known about the adaptation? Netflix confirmed the live-action adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn after Sony Pictures had previously revealed the project in a briefing for investors in May 2022. Steve Blackman from The Umbrella Academy will be on board as showrunner.
The main character is supposed to be the warrior Aloy, just like in the games, Blackman explained in August.
Pokémon
What is known about the adaptation? After countless seasons and films of the anime and the live-action hit “Detective Pikachu”, there is now supposed to be a live-action series for Pokémon.
Joe Henderson is said to be involved as executive writer and executive producer of the project. According to reports, work on the series has been ongoing since July 2021, but no further details are known. Neither Netflix nor The Pokémon Company have officially confirmed the project yet.
Sonic Prime
What is known about the adaptation? The new animated series featuring the blue hedgehog is set to premiere on Netflix on December 15. Joining Sonic himself are other familiar faces like Tails, Knuckels, Shadow, and of course Eggman.
New will be the voices of some key roles, including Deven Christian Mack as Sonic, Ashleigh Ball as Tails, and Brian Drummond as Eggman. In total, there are supposed to be 24 episodes.

What is known about the adaptation? Announced as a feature film for the first time in 2016, Ubisoft informed fans in 2019 that the project would go to Netflix. The already committed Jake Gyllenhaal is still said to be involved as producer and lead actor.
Most recently, director Rawson Marshall Thurber stated that filming “could hopefully start sometime in 2022.”
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell
What is known about the adaptation? The fifth collaboration between Ubisoft and Netflix is an animated adaptation of the popular stealth/action video game series Splinter Cell. Derek Kolstad, the co-creator of the “John Wick” franchise, is involved in the project.
Variety reported in 2020 that Netflix had signed a contract for 16 episodes spread over two seasons, which Ubisoft later confirmed to Polygon. In 2021, Netflix presented fans with some important images for the series.
Tomb Raider
What is known about the adaptation? The animated adaptation of Tomb Raider was announced by Netflix in early 2021 but has not yet received a release date or timeframe.
Tasha Huo is involved as a writer on the project. She has previously written for The Witcher: Blood Origin, a miniseries prequel scheduled to release on Christmas Day.
The German Twitch streamer Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller (24) shared a story about a Tinder date that went bizarre during a podcast. However, a conversation partner, actress Kayla Shyx, pointed out how the situation could also be understood. That made it less funny.
What was the situation? In the video podcast “Edeltalk” on November 13, Papaplatte talked about “dating.” The gaming streamer recounted an incident from his life that he apparently found funny, as reported by the page Ingame:
“My favorite story, I think it was also a Tinder date, we – uh – had sex and then, we were done in less than 30 seconds. As one does afterwards – you go take a shower. I didn’t shower long, maybe two minutes. She was on FaceTime with six friends playing a round of UNO on her phone. I found it so fucking awkward.”
From his perspective, Papaplatte seemed to have gotten a strange partner there.
How did the discussion turn against him? Also invited to the podcast was actress Kayla Shyx, known for her role in the children’s channel’s reality show “Die Mädchen-WG” since 2016. She also runs a YouTube channel.
She wasn’t laughing at the story like the two men present but looked somewhat skeptical. Shyx explained to the Twitch streamer a bit snidely that he had “really delivered” on that.
Papaplatte looks at her indignantly and asks: “What is that supposed to mean?”
If she’s playing UNO afterwards, you probably didn’t entertain her …
The actress says: “Well, dude, no front, but if she immediately plays fucking UNO afterwards, then you delivered so little entertainment that UNO was the next best thing.”
Papaplatte realizes the situation he’s gotten himself into, says: “No, I’m not going to take that now.” But he also gets a broadside from his podcast partner, Dominik Reezmann, who finds the situation hilarious.
The actress follows up: “Hey, have you never reflected on that?”
Papaplatte, now in defensive mode: The evening couldn’t have gone that bad, he explains. After all, the date stayed for another 30 minutes to brush her teeth.
But Shyx is relentless: “Brushed your teeth for half an hour – and you think that’s why she liked you?”
The streamer then informs the actress that they have decided not to invite her again.
The amusing segment starts at 1:37 hours.

Papaplatte was once among the most successful German streamers, even in global rankings. Apparently, many of his viewers appreciate his somewhat clumsy style, which often gets him into trouble.
Thus, Papaplatte is almost legendary for constantly being banned from Twitch. Especially in 2020, he had quite a streak, ending up with 7 bans in one year:
A substantial amount of money is waiting for you in Cayo Perico. Find out why the heist in GTA Online is worthwhile right now and what to expect on Tuesday.
What has changed in Cayo Perico? The heist on the island of drug lord El Rubio has been popular in recent months. With quick runs, you can scoop up millions in GTA dollars. This lucrative business has been further strengthened with the launch of the new bonus week on November 17.
The coveted Panther statue is now available for you to collect for a limited time. And Rockstar Games is planning a big community challenge in a few days.
Bonuses at Cayo Perico now active
What bonuses are available? A few bonuses from Rockstar Games have been activated around the Cayo Perico heist.
You only pay half for equipment costs
You have the chance to loot the rare Panther statue until November 21
Members of GTA+ will find the Panther statue guaranteed weekly until December 12
The Cayo Perico series (game mode) offers double rewards
Grab the statue now!
What does the statue bring? The Panther statue is the most valuable treasure you can steal on Cayo Perico. Its individual value is 1.9 million GTA dollars on normal difficulty. At the “Hard” difficulty level, you’ll get 2.09 million GTA dollars for it. So, the theft is really worth it for you.
Keep in mind that you will only definitely obtain the statue during the first Cayo Perico heist you play in this event week. After that, regular rewards will apply.
This is what Rockstar Games says: In the blog post the developers write, “… come back on Tuesday, November 22, when the heist event reaches its peak with a high-profile community challenge.”
In recent weeks, everything has revolved around the different heists in GTA Online. They yield you more money and cost less in preparations.
Players suspect that the challenge will be something similar to what we had two years ago. In 2020, Rockstar set the community the challenge to steal 100 billion GTA dollars. As a reward, the team then promised a free vehicle surprise.
Shortly thereafter, players could pick up the Brioso 300 for free in GTA Online – basically THE heist vehicle. It’s quite possible that this event will feature a similar challenge, where you can unlock a cool vehicle.

The Gulag is a dark place in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 where players have the chance to re-enter the game after their first death. However, it’s not easy to win the fight, so we will show you 3 tips on how to increase your chances of survival.
What is the Gulag? Every player, who has played Warzone 1 knows the Gulag. This place is located away from the Warzone. When you get killed in your match, you get another chance to fight your way back into the game. In the Gulag, the decisive fight for life and death takes place.
You do not enter this deathmatch alone. Together with another player, you will be sent into battle against an enemy duo team.
If your squad wins the shootout, both of you will be sent back into the match. If you lose the fight, you will be completely eliminated or can be brought back to life by teammates for 4,000 dollars.
The fight in the Gulag is harder than it looks, so we will show you our tips to help you come out of the fight safely.
1. Stick together
Together you are always stronger
How to survive best: The best tactic to get out of the Gulag alive is to stick together. Together as a duo, you can scour the individual cover spots and ensure that your opponents bite the dust with alternating fire – or you attack together for more damage.
If you are playing without a headset and forgo the Proximity Chat, then keep your eyes open and watch for your teammate. Often they run aimlessly into the enemy without warning. If this happens to you, follow your teammate and provide cover.
2. Use your tools
What tools are meant? You are not sent into the Gulag fight empty-handed. A sidearm and a grenade and a tactical grenade should support you in your battle. However, it is often forgotten that these tools are available.
If you run out of these, keep an eye out on the ground for new tools. Sometimes you can find Semtex and flash grenades that you can pick up and use.
If you are looking for the best weapons in Warzone 2, we have a list of setups:
How can patience help you? In the Gulag, there is a boss who runs the show and enjoys watching you fight. However, this boss is not known for his patience, because if you last too long in a Gulag fight, a Juggernaut intervenes.
This Juggernaut is not only heavily armored but also has a large rifle that can put you under the ground in no time. So if you can be quick, you can send this monster at your opponents while trying to weave to safety through cover.
If you kill the Juggernaut, all 4 players will return to the match, by the way. However, if the time runs out beforehand, all players lose.
What should I do if I survived the Gulag? First, give yourself a pat on the back because you are back in the race. After your victory, you will be brought back to the skies. Now you can decide where to land.
You should choose a rather remote spot with a few houses or structures where loot could be hiding. But do not expect strong weapons, as it may be that you are only getting the remnants from the bones now.
Now equipped, you should move carefully through the terrain. Enemies may have seen you from a distance and are likely just waiting behind a corner for an ambush. If you survive that and are not dead yet, the next win may not be far away.
How do you survive the Gulag? Do you have any tips you would like to share? Feel free to let us know your tactics and opinions in the comments!
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a brutal shooter where it’s all about kills – or is it? YouTuber “ThatFriendlyGuy” thinks differently and has reached Max Level 55 in less than 24 hours of gameplay without getting any kills. How is that even possible?
In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, everyone is hunting for kills. Higher, further, better – or something like that. Even in game modes where kills are secondary to victory, casual Rambos rack up plenty of kills. This can often ruin the victory.
One wishes for teammates who focus more on the objective, collecting enemy tags in “Kill Confirmed”, holding the point in “Domination”, or at least checking the score briefly to see if they should help.
Sometimes it feels like these teammates do not exist. But YouTuber “ThatFriendlyGuy” proves: They do. Because he is the kind of teammate you wish for in every round with “Objective”, but never gets.
Fully motivated, he set to work, made a plan, and wanted to focus on the riot shield to protect himself from enemy fire. He quickly had to realize: Most gadgets that would have helped unlock only late – the shield only at level 37.
ThatFriendlyGuy recognized that “Kill Confirmed” and “Headquarters” are the best modes to gather the most XP as a pacifist in Call of Duty.
First, he acted as a ninja loot goblin, collecting tags from killed teammates and enemies in “Kill Confirmed”. For this, he “spot” enemies with binoculars – which earns points for spotting and when the spotted enemy is killed.
After unlocking the knife, his movement improved drastically and the decoy grenade was a “game changer” in terms of XP. Unfortunately, too many players know this:
After a tip from his community, he switched to the “Headquarters” mode. Here, you get many points for capturing the headquarters, and if you survive afterward, XP continuously stacks in your account.
With the unlocking of the riot shield, his playstyle changed completely. Now he could protect himself from fire, put pressure on enemies, and gather a lot of XP. He needed less than 24 hours of gameplay to reach level 55.
We’ll embed ThatFriendlyGuy’s English YouTube video here:

The South Korean Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang was at the height of his powers in League of Legends in 2019: With the Chinese team FunPlus Phoenix, he defeated G2 in the finals of the LoL Worlds in Paris and became world champion. Today, the 25-year-old shares his schedule from that time.
What has Doinb achieved?
Doinb was the outstanding player at the Worlds in League of Legends in 2019. He was regarded as a “Super-Carry,” someone who could carry his team to success.
Doinb played a wide variety of champions in the mid lane: He could totally dominate games or brilliantly set up his genius jungle partner Tian. There was simply no way to beat Doinb in 2019. The Europeans from G2 painfully learned this, as they were mercilessly defeated by him in the biggest game of their careers, the finals.
Moreover, Doinb had a great story to tell: He had actually given up on his career. Only his wife, whom he had just married, was able to convince him to continue. The image of his wife at the sidelines, cheering for her husband, went around the world.
6 hours a day of training games with the whole team
How is this being discussed? The background of the discussion is that players from the two major Asian regions, South Korea and China, are much more successful in international competitions than players from Europe and the USA.
Especially North Americans are criticized by fans for having too much private life and playing too little. “They pay too much attention to their work-life balance,” some fans complain.
The legend is:
The US pros lie on the couch after practice and munch chips
Teams in Asia expect professionals to continue training privately after team practice sessions, grind out their hours in solo queue, try out new champions, engage further with LoL, and perhaps even stream

The Life of Faker – Why He is a Living Legend
What is the problem with Doinb’s training method?Even Doinb’s training, with this insane time commitment, seems not to be the real deal that guarantees success, as Doinb only had this absolute peak in 2019.
Practically no player in LoL has managed to dominate consistently internationally since Faker in 2016. Even the best teams of one year often collapse the following year, losing players, suffering from burnout, or just not coping with a new meta.
Another player had to measure his gaming space perfectly with a ruler before he could play.
How is this being discussed? On Twitter, many players are astonished by the work ethic that Doinb displays. Many thought it was simply not feasible to complete more than 5 training matches a day.
For Western players, this workload seems unimaginable and apparently not desirable. A Twitter user says:
If I were a pro, I would play 8 hours of LoL, sleep 8 hours, and of course, do something else for 8 hours.
How hard the life of a LoL pro can be is evident from such stories:
For 8 years, Bungie has been developing the series Destiny: It was supposed to be a drastic break, with players losing all items from the first 3 years. But what kind of armor will be new to Destiny in December 2022? The old Iron Banner sets from 2015. Bungie comments on it with a wink. Fans are now happy about it.
This was the idea behind Destiny 2: After 3 years with Destiny 1, Bungie wanted a clean break. The story was: In a major attack by space turtles, players lose everything they had earned up to that point.
All the great exotic weapons, the cosmetic items that were purchased with real money in the shop, the meticulously assembled armor sets – all of that went up in smoke during the Cabal’s attack. That was the story’s direction, that was what the Bungie leaders wanted.
Players were supposed to start from scratch, developing a real hatred for the enemies. It also carried the promise: All the great items you’ve gathered over the last 3 years are gone – but now there’s also room for much new.
How is it in reality? It hasn’t gone so well. Over the years, Bungie has lost some resources, they no longer have as many support studios and probably not as many employees as from 2014 to 2017.
Moreover, Bungie notices that many players still cling to their memories from the past, and Bungie itself has probably burned through some of its best ideas in the early years.
Furthermore, player expectations for new content have continually risen: It never stopped, every 3 months players want new items in Destiny 2 as a reward for being so diligent.
Armor sets from 2015 are the new highlight of 2022
This is what’s new: With Season 19, armor rewards in the Iron Banner will be reintroduced, which were available in 2015 during “The Taken King.”
Especially the hunter set from back then, with the wolf head, is iconic: Even a toy was made from the armor.
Bungie sounds almost self-ironic at this point:
It has been about a year since we last renewed the armors in the Iron Banner. We have seen some wonderful ideas over the years. Inspiration from the past focuses on the appearance of a true warrior. This year, we bring back one of the favorite sets of the fans from an era of the Taken King.
We expect that they will be a “fun addition” to many sets in the game and are looking forward to your fashion statement in the next season’s Iron Banner.
At the same time, they also bring back the weapon “Rose, “ which is about three and a half years old.

The sharpness from recycling has worn off – Many accept it
How do the fans perceive this? It is now seen almost as a wink from Bungie. Apparently, there were some comments on Reddit about Destiny claiming that the armor from Destiny 1 was better than that from Destiny 2. Now Bungie simply brings it back, taking the wind out of the sails of the criticism.
Somehow, people have come to terms with the fact that Bungie is bringing back so much from previous years.
At the beginning of Destiny 2, this was viewed much more critically. People said: They had paid €60 for Bungie to take away their old stuff and now Bungie was selling them back pieces of their old stuff with new DLCs for lots of money:
People demanded that Bungie should come up with new things. Bungie was called the “master of recycling”, and people felt cheated out of their money.
In 2022, it sounds more like “nostalgia” and “the fan favorites from earlier days are back” – Bungie has managed to make it sound like they are listening to the players and giving them what they are missing so painfully.
Many critics who are bothered by this recycling policy have probably already moved on from Destiny.
The Callers of the Dracthyr in World of Warcraft are perfect for driving fellow players nuts. MeinMMO demon Cortyn reveals what makes the “Scalies” so nasty.
Actually, I was quite happy that not much was happening in World of Warcraft over the past weeks. I had time for other games and could take a little vacation from Azeroth. Since patch 10.0 I haven’t been able to warm up to the Shadow Priest anyway.
I don’t know exactly. It just doesn’t feel right anymore, I don’t like the new abilities, and I simply can’t understand some design decisions.
But then, on November 16th, the Dracthyr Callers were released. Like about 99% of my realm, I wanted to have the new class at level 60 right away and get into the talents.
No matter how you turn it, the Dracthyr Caller is the perfect class for trolling.
“Rescue” does everything, but surely saves no one
As you know, I am a huge fan of Faith Jump. A priest ability that allows you to pull allies to yourself. The downside is that teammates get used to it. They already see that I’m positioning my priestess in a dangerous spot and are thus forewarned.
Dracthyr can do something similar, only much better in every regard. Because they have the ability to skill “Rescue”:
Dive onto an ally and with them to the destination.
The spell has a range of 25 meters, but you can let allies cover distances of up to 50 meters when you maximize the range.
Even better: the spell works in vertical spaces as well. You can grab an ally and fly them up onto a pillar. Of course, you can also just park them in a fire area or the next boss ability.
And as if that weren’t enough, the spell apparently knows no “No path available” restriction. This means you can also shove your group members off cliffs and steep precipices from which they just slip away. While you gently glide down with wings, other classes crash down ungracefully and crumpled.
Actually, “Rescue” would already be enough to replace my beloved Faith Jump. But what could be better than simply being able to change a teammate’s position?
What that is became clear to me only when I clicked through the PvP talents, and my grin became so wide that it was hardly distinguishable from a Dracthyr maw.
The ability is called “Time Stop”:
Freezes the flow of time for an ally for 4 seconds. While they are frozen, they are invulnerable, cannot act, and auras do not progress. You can reactivate the ability to end the effect early.
And yes, my dear readers, it does exactly what you think it does.
Just freezing time for a moment. A great skill.
It is the power to hold allied players in place. They simply freeze. No matter whether they are falling, want to run away from a boss ability, or just want to fly beside you.
Since it is a PvP ability, it only works in the War Mode of the open world and PvP battlegrounds, but the “Nerve potential” is so immense.
Your friend wants to run from the auction house to the mailbox? Freeze them first.
A colleague just wants to catch the zeppelin that is leaving? Freeze them first.
In Alterac Valley, 10 Horde members are rushing towards your priest colleague who is panicking and screaming as they run away? Freeze them first.
Okay, in the last case, revenge was taken directly with a Faith Jump, and we both went to our deaths. But you understand what is possible with this ability.
Maybe these abilities will mean I have to visit dungeons alone soon, or my tank and healer will knock on my door to apply “Rescue” and “Time Stop” in real life.
But until then, I will continue to have fun with these abilities.

Cheaters are the biggest plague of CoD and in recent years the problem has worsened because more emphasis is placed on Free2Play content – like Call of Duty: Warzone 2. And against certain hardware, “RICOCHET” has little chance.
The first Warzone was for a time the absolute paradise for cheaters. The incredible success of the first free Battle Royale of CoD on PC and console was not planned, the cheat protection was accordingly significantly underdeveloped.
For almost 2 years, those responsible at Call of Duty worked on
The shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (Steam) has nerfed the sniper rifle AWP: The magazine now holds only 5 shots instead of 10 after a recent update. This is the biggest nerf of the iconic weapon since the release of the E-sport shooter CS:GO on Steam in 2012.
What kind of weapon is this? The AWP is the “Arctic Warfare Police,” a sniper rifle from the British manufacturer Accuracy International LTD, used by the police. It has a 24-inch barrel and uses 7.62×51 mm NATO ammunition.
How does the AWP work in the game? The AWP is a “High Risk, High Reward” weapon in CS:GO: With a cost of $4,750, it is one of the most expensive weapons in CS:GO, but it is also one of the most effective.
An experienced sniper can inflict devastating damage on the opposing team, securing two, three, or four kills in rapid succession.
This has led over the years to the “AWP” becoming one of the most critical weapons in PC gaming.
The Wikipedia page for Counter-Strike describes the weapon as a “devastatingly powerful long-range weapon with extreme accuracy and obscene stopping power.” However, the high price and the cumbersome play style required an enormous amount of training, accuracy, and experience to master the weapon (via cs-wiki).
AWP now only has 5 shots instead of 10 after patch – “So that every shot counts”
This is now the nerf: In the new patch from November 18th, the magazine size of the AWP was reduced from 10 to 5. The magazine has been halved.
According to Steam operator Valve: They want every shot to count.
“I was there when they nerfed the AWP”
What do the players say? They recognize the historical significance of the nerf.
On Reddit, a user screams: “I was there when they halved the magazine size of the AWP.”
Another says that this is “one of the moments” in the history of CS:GO.
Others joke that the weapon has only been nerfed now because the famous French AWP player “kennyS” has returned to the game after an 18-month break.
Has this happened before? The last significant change to the AWP was in 2015 when Valve restricted how quickly players could move while simultaneously looking through the AWP’s scope.
In Call of Duty: Warzone 2, you can gain certain advantages in combat thanks to perk packages, which enhance your chances of survival. Therefore, we show you 3 of the best perk packages and for which play style they are suitable.
What are perk packages? Since the release of Warzone 2, quite a bit has changed. Players still cannot customize their perks like in Warzone 1. Instead, there are perk packages that players can equip with pre-made combos.
Which are the best perk packages? In total, the developers offer you eight pre-made perk combos that you can equip. Each of them has its area of use, but there are three options that are particularly worthwhile, and those are:
Currently, there is only one perk package with the extra “Overkill” and the perks in the package are not among the strongest. If it’s worth it to you, you’ll still get 2 primary weapons with your loadout in the game – but not with all methods.
We will now explain which packages are good and which play styles they suit.
Vorhut – The Package for the Sprinters among you
The Vorhut Perks
For which player are these perks suitable? The Vorhut package is especially suitable for the rushers among you who enjoy fast-paced gameplay. “Eiltempo” and “Bombenkommando” ensure that you can sprint longer in tactical mode while also taking more damage from explosive weapons from all sources except killstreaks.
“Nachschub” provides you with an additional primary equipment slot (grenades), and “Alarmiert” indicates in your field of view whether an enemy is nearby – they must, however, see you.
Essentially, you are very mobile with the perks and can partially ignore grenade fire. Additionally, you have an advantage towards the end of your matches, as it allows you to see more easily where your opponents are staring at you.
Spectre – The Package for the Ninjas among you
The Spectre Perks
For which player are these perks suitable? This package is primarily suitable for the players among you who enjoy sneaking and tracking their opponents. “Eiltempo” increases the duration of your tactical sprint while “Spurenleser” marks footprints left by enemies near you. Additionally, the death locations of foes are marked.
On top of that, “Kundschafter” shows you through walls where enemy equipment, field equipment, and killstreaks are located. This way, you can recognize C4 charges or claymores and avoid them.
Finally, “Geist” ensures that you cannot be detected by drones, portable radars, and heartbeat sensors. You remain almost invisible in every respect – even if Geist might not be as strong as you think.
Wächter – The Package for the Campers among you
The Wächter Perks
For which player are these perks suitable? The Wächter package is especially beneficial for the campers among you. “Kampfgestählt” provides the necessary resistance against flash, EMP, and gas grenades, while “Bombenkommando” reduces the explosive damage you sustain. This is especially useful against the anti-camper gadget.
To avoid detection, “Kaltblütig” ensures that players with AI targeting systems and thermal scopes cannot locate you. Soldiers equipped with the perk “Alarmiert” also do not receive an alert when you look at your opponents.
Finally, “Übertakten” gives you tactical advantages as you can recharge your field equipment and store an additional charge.
Will there be custom perk packages in the future? We cannot answer that yet. However, we assume that the developers might implement this feature at a later time. There was actually an announcement before the release that there would be no perks at launch.
Warzone 1 had been able to impress with extensive customization options for perks, and their release in Warzone 2 is very likely.
Do you agree with us? Which perk packages do you like the most and which tactics do you use them for? Feel free to leave your opinion in the comments!
