The pre-patch of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has a release date: On October 26, the first content of the new expansion will be available in the game, and on November 15, Phase 2 of the pre-patch will start. We will show you what you can already test before release on MeinMMO.
Before a new major expansion of the MMORPG World of Warcraft, it is common for a so-called pre-patch to bring initial content into the game.
Dragonflight will also receive a pre-patch. Here are the key release dates:
- WoW Dragonflight Release
- 26.10. – Pre-Patch Phase 1
- 16.11. – Pre-Patch Phase 2
- 29.11. – Release day
- 14.12. – Raids start

WoW Dragonflight: Pre-Patch – Content and Dates
When does the pre-patch start? In Europe, the pre-patch goes live on October 26. For the US launch, Blizzard states October 25. You need to shift the respective date on the roadmap one day back for the EU launch:
What happens in Phase 1? The following innovations will go live with the first pre-patch on October 26:
- New talent tree
- Redesigned user interface
- New accessibility features
- PvP brawl / Rated Solo Shuffle
- Rogue, Priest, and Mage can be played with all races
On the day of the first pre-patch phase, the season 4 of Shadowlands will also end. What you should still complete before that can be read here:
What happens in Phase 2? On November 15 or November 16, the following content will be added:
- New race / class: Dracthyr Evoker
- New zone: “The Forbidden Reach”
- Dungeon: “Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr”
- Pre-event: Primal Storms
