1. Pay Attention to the Spin Dance Bar
When you use the umbrella, you will surely notice the bar in the bottom left corner above your health bar. This is crucial if you want to get the most out of the umbrella. In the green area of the bar, the umbrella’s attack power is rather mediocre.
The true destructive power of the umbrella is unleashed when you enter the red area. Then your attacks deal significantly more damage, and you can take out your opponents much more effectively with the umbrella. Therefore, your goal is to fill this bar quickly and keep it full permanently.
However, you need to play quite aggressively to achieve this and constantly attack or successfully parry the opponent, otherwise, the bar will revert after just a few seconds.

True strength lies in the defense of attacks. Try to deflect as many attacks from the Kemono using the weapon and get your bar in the bottom left into the red area to then counter with a fierce counterattack.
The best part is: while parrying consumes stamina, if it is successful, you regain endurance. When used correctly, you have a good foundation so that you don’t run out of breath too quickly.

One aspect that makes the umbrella so strong is the high mobility you gain from the weapon. With the umbrella, you can perform aerial attacks and move quickly across the battlefield.
It’s best to practice on the training bear, which attacks can launch you into the air and especially where they take you. Otherwise, it can quickly happen that you jump around aimlessly and land where you really didn’t want to.
However, once you have the right combo down, you can even stay in the air for longer periods. In the YouTube video, you can see between 01:44-01:56 how to do this by attacking and parrying in the air. You will also fly around even if you don’t successfully parry, but just by pressing the button.
However, it is often read in the comments that it takes some practice to use the Blade Umbrella really well. Especially, the perfect timing when parrying is something players have to find out with a bit of finesse. Because here, the window of time to successfully deflect an attack is quite short.
But once you have enough practice with the Wasaga, the umbrella in your hands can become the ultimate Kemono slayer.

Since February 16, 2023, Wild Hearts has been playable on PC. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will follow at midnight right after. However, there are major issues on PC with graphics, stuttering, and more, as tests report. The developers are aware of this – and will bring a fix soon.
What is the problem?
Wild Hearts was released on February 16, 2022, and has been officially playable since 4 PM. Before that, experts were able to test it, and interested players could try a demo.
The problem is mainly graphics bugs and dropping FPS, which are supposed to drop below 60 even on strong systems at times.
I myself have already criticized similar problems in my very first hands-on test in 2022. Now, in early access, it was better, but for me, the performance was still the biggest point of criticism:
Colleague André Baumgartner from GameStar released his rated test at launch. Here, too, there is a deduction for performance in the score of 78 points.
As players have already discovered, the problems are partly due to the fact that even on high-performance systems, only one of the many CPU cores is being utilized. This throttles performance – no matter how powerful the computer is otherwise.

“A patch for all platforms is coming next week”
Here’s what the developers say: In a post in the official support forum, community manager David addresses the players’ problems directly. It states: a fix will come next week, shortly after the release. Among other things, the following issues will be resolved:
a problem that causes only a single thread of the CPU to be utilized
artifacts and graphic glitches when using an AMD Radeon RX 7900
the default resolution, which should now be at least 1080p when starting the game
fixes for greater stability and other bugs
In addition, an annoying audio issue will be fixed, causing sound and image to become desynchronized, as well as crashes of the game on PS5. However, there is still no exact date for the fix.
Not all systems are currently affected by the problems. Especially Xbox and PlayStation seem to be running relatively smoothly. If you can play without issues or want to prepare, here are some tips:
Over 150,000 players played the Free2Play fighting game MultiVersus at release. Popular DC and Warner characters enthusiastically beat each other up for victory. Half a year later, hardly anyone is playing. What happened?

from 153,044 peak players in July 2022 to 1,524 in the last 30 days (-99 %)
from 66,920 average players in July 2022 to 824 in the last 30 days (-98 %)
the ratings have fallen from 93 % at release to 63 % recently
After only 7 months, almost all players have disappeared on Steam. We cannot make any statements about the data on PlayStation and Xbox.

What has been criticized more frequently in reviews and on social media lately is the content of recent times – or rather their absence, as discussed on reddit:

For standard rewards, you can kill Lucanus and Decimus multiple times a day and receive the following:

10%: A named item from the Sulfur Sand Desert or Greater Aeternum

It is not meant to be a heavily narrative-driven game, as the developers have already revealed. Nevertheless, they want to tell a story together with their community in Palia, which happens, among other things, through the characters.
You play humans who are a “legendary race” in the world of Palia. At the height of their power, they suddenly disappeared and no one knew why. Now, after thousands of years, the humans have suddenly reappeared, and you need to create a new home in the unknown world.
The story develops as you form friendships or, if you wish, romantic relationships with NPCs. Each of them tells a unique story, bringing you gradually closer to the answer for the disappearance of the humans.
At the end of January, the developers introduced 23 characters that will appear in Palia on Twitter and their website. “Meet the residents of Palia and find new friends – Maybe you’ll even find someone you want to settle down with,” it says on the website. All characters are listed there for you to click through, each with a short description.

Dating is possible, but not required
With some of the characters, you can enter a romantic relationship, but you don’t have to. You choose someone and gradually build a stronger bond with that person – similar to Stardew Valley.

The most important information about coop and crossplay in Wild Hearts
How does coop work in Wild Hearts? To start the coop mode in the game, you have 2 different options:
the campfire
hunting gates
Through these two elements, you can access the coop of the game
How does the campfire work? When you warm up at the campfire, you will see the option “Play Online”. Then you can either search for sessions or create your own.
If you create your own session, you can set specific session tags and specify which Kemono you want to hunt or provide information about the playstyle.
It is also important to set a password if you want to prevent strangers from accessing your session. Alternatively, you can select the option “Only Friends” under the point “Search for Target”.
Once you have created the session, you can also specifically invite the desired people from your friends list to join your session.
A key note: There is something called “Seamless Co-Op”. This means that your own progress will continue even when you are playing coop.
Furthermore, the following applies: If you join someone who is not as far along in the story as you are, your own story will continue when you both reach the point you were at.
How do hunting gates work? You will find hunting gates spread throughout the game world. Through these, you can select the corresponding Kemono you want to hunt. The game will then search for a suitable session for you.

The long-awaited update is finally here! After the developers announced at the beginning of the year that Season 2 for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 would be postponed by two weeks, there was a lot of frustration.
The new entry in the “Call of Duty” series started with a lot of hype, but it did not last as long as fans had hoped. The community criticized those changes that were supposed to set the new “Call of Duty” title apart from its predecessors. But despite the criticism, CoD MW2 is extremely successful.
Many fans hoped that Season 2 could turn the tide again, and indeed the hype grew again. But now, with the content finally playable, the question arises as to whether the anticipation was justified.

How are players reacting to the changes brought by Season 2? Aside from a few dissenting voices, the first impression of the new season is positive. At launch, the servers struggled with some technical issues, but even outages and crashes cannot really dampen the mood.

Many users agree with this view. User u/__Dave_ notes that movement feels much smoother since the update. The game reacts faster and more sensitively to player inputs. He also likes the speed at which you can add armor plates since the update. It is not too fast, but definitely not as sluggish as before.
What does the community say about the new map? Here too, the majority of players have a positive echo. The community praises the design of the map. The Resurgence mode is a welcome change from the regular Warzone and the DMZ. However, some players note that the distribution of buy stations is not optimal; they are too heavily concentrated in the middle of the map.
Although there were still frequent crashes on Ashika Island yesterday and armor plates were scarce, these problems are likely to be fixed in the coming days. Regarding armor plates, the developers have already made adjustments and implemented a hotfix.

How does the community feel about the changes to the DMZ? Before the update, there were many critical voices. Players complained that their progress should be reset. In the end, however, it turned out to be less severe than many had feared.

Multiplayer – Players celebrate Ranked mode, demand more content and regular updates
What things are praised by the community? Here, changes to the user interface stand out in particular. Players praise the new menu navigation, such as for weapon camos. The old system was too complicated for many, and the new menus are easier to navigate.
For many players, the Ranked mode is a special highlight of Season 2. There, players compete against each other in ranked multiplayer matches. If you are successful, you move up the ranks. If you lose frequently, you drop back down. In Ranked mode, you can also earn unique rewards.
How are the new maps received? With the launch of Season 2, two new 6v6 maps, Dome and Museum, were implemented. The Museum map was playable in the beta but was likely removed due to legal uncertainties. The Dome map should be familiar to you from Warzone, where it is a point of interest in the middle of the map.
The developers have already announced that another 6v6 map will be released with the mid-season update of Season 2. They have published a first impression of the map on Twitter.

With the Blackwidow, Razer offers a keyboard series that the manufacturer claims is “the first choice of pro gamers worldwide” (via razer.com). This is a series of mechanical gaming keyboards with numerous features. With the Blackwidow V4 Pro, Razer has now introduced the latest iteration. Most notably, the keyboard offers more detailed customization compared to its predecessor, the Blackwidow V3 Pro.

Today, on February 16, 2023, Wild Hearts is released for PC and a few hours later for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. I have already invested over 14 hours into the game before release, but without much preparation.
As someone who has played more Dauntless than Monster Hunter, some systems were new to me. But even the players who played the 10-hour demo in advance were quite surprised by some systems.
I died to some monsters multiple times, and I took down others much slower than I want to admit. To ensure you don’t make the same mistakes as I did, I will explain what would have helped me during my initial play.

1. Don’t get too distracted – Play the story!
The gameplay of Wild Hearts is dangerously fun. I spent a good portion of my playtime just hunting the first gigantic Kemono in the world.
While I was able to collect some upgrades, cool armors, and improved weapons, I missed out on a lot. Many contents are locked behind progress in the story, such as:
3 new weapons: Claw, Staff, and Cannon
New Karakuri, i.e., building elements that can also make fights easier
Additional areas with more enemies and new materials for even more weapons
Sure, I could have thought of that, but my hunting instinct was too pronounced. If I had known beforehand what cool new weapons and enemies awaited me, I would have focused more on the story.
One downside: If you simply follow the story, you may not find all Kemono, i.e., monsters. Some are just out in the world and can be found much earlier than the story might suggest.

Even the basic Karakuri like boxes and especially springboards help you dodge attacks or execute stronger attacks. Moreover, they can be connected or “fused” for stronger effects in combat.
Using the Karakuri and learning how to use them is just a small hint. The actual important thing is: Improve your stuff! You can distribute points over a huge skill tree that you collect during hunts on Kemono.
There, you can find upgrades for various Karakuri that you can build in combat or in your camp. It’s best to take a close look at this tree and consider which upgrades you want the fastest. I spent way too long just collecting upgrade points…

3. Take a close look at the forge
In Wild Hearts, there are 8 different weapons, all of which you can craft at the forge for just a few materials. This allows you to quickly craft and easily try out the basic weapons.
However, they only become really strong through upgrades that you can unlock by hunting monsters. The skill tree is the same for each weapon, so it’s worth taking a look at everything at first.
What I failed to do, however, is utilize the system correctly. You can undo invested upgrades in weapons for a small price of gold. You will get all upgrade materials back.

Which elements, damage types, and effects are strong or weak
How the Kemono change when they get angry
This not only helps you decide which weapon to take with you but also assists you in gathering specific materials that you need for upgrades.
The encyclopedia also provides information about small Kemono and creatures that you need for other crafting.

5. Look for Tsukumo and improve him
Easily found early in the game is a small, round wooden robot: Tsukumo. This is your hunting companion when playing solo. You should definitely engage more with Tsukumo than I initially did.
Because the little guy gets stronger as you upgrade him. However, you need to look for other Tsukumo in the world that reward you with gears. Whenever you hear a wooden jingling, check your surroundings. Tsukumo often hides on cliffs or behind walls.

6. Use the shop and the fishing guild in Minato
Once you reach the city of Minato, some new areas will be shown to you, but not necessarily explained in detail. One of these areas is the Scarlet Treasure Chamber – a shop that offers all sorts of things.
Although you would gather most things yourself in a hunting game, you’ll find useful items here for crafting or consumption. More importantly: You can sell loot. Some items are only for sale. Items that have a coin as an icon should be sold regularly for gold. You can then use the gold for upgrades or to dismantle weapons.
The second important place in the city is the fishing guild at the pier down below. The guild master always offers you quests, of which you can have up to 5 active at the same time. However, these are not quests but things that can be completed on the side, such as:
Collect X materials
Kill X enemies
Hunt X Kemono
Hunt Kemono in a specific area or without dying
The rewards range from crafting materials to gold and do not require direct focus on the tasks. For faster progress, always have guild tasks active.

7. Eat your food!
The last tip is more of a hint. Food, as I know, is important in Monster Hunter and I knew that you can cook somewhere in Wild Hearts. However, it is much simpler than I initially thought, as there are only 3 preparation methods:
Drying
Pickling
Smoking
This happens through corresponding buildings in the camp, by simply processing the gathered food there and waiting. You then have the finished food in your inventory and can simply devour it, whereby each dish has a “nutritional value” – which limits how much you can eat.
Different foods can be combined and the effects stack. Everything can even be eaten raw. Keep in mind that you can only carry 20 different types of food at the same time – so throw things away, or, what would be better, eat heartily!

What does MMR stand for? The abbreviation comes from English and stands for “Match Making Rating”, short MMR. In German, it has been translated as “Gegnersuchwertung” and indicates at what rank your opponents are selected. It is a value that is calculated individually for each player.
