In EA’s new hunting game Wild Hearts, you fight against giant monsters known as Kemono. We from MeinMMO have summarized the currently known monsters in a list for you .
In Azuma, the world of Wild Hearts, there are various types of Kemono. So far, 10 of them are known. Additionally, there is some data on the beasts and the strategy you should best follow in combat.
Lava Back / Jigokuzaru
What kind of monster is this? The Lava Back is a Kemono inspired by the silverback gorilla, also known as Jigokuzaru. However, instead of gray fur, the Lava Back, as the name suggests, has a volcanic body. This is cleverly used by the menacing gorilla.
Strategy: When facing the Lava Back, you should be prepared for anything. The gorilla can throw molten rock, attacking from a distance. Additionally, he uses his long arms to perform rapid strikes in close combat.
To succeed against the Lava Back, it is important to observe the environment attentively. You should be able to see where the ground breaks when the gorilla launches an attack. This allows you to anticipate the attacks and dodge in time. Furthermore, an effective strategy is to increase your character’s elemental resistance by using the elemental lantern.
Flora Grunter / Yama’ugachi
What kind of monster is this? The Flora Grunter, also known as Yama’ugachi, is an oversized wild boar covered in plants, with menacing tusks the size of tree trunks. The Flora Grunter has a multitude of eyes, which it opens all at once when something enters its territory. Outside of combat, the Kemono keeps most of its eyes closed and relies on its sense of smell.
Strategy: The Flora Grunter is a rather slow Kemono with many weaknesses. If you manage to cling to its massive body, you can defeat it with the hunting arm.
To withstand the overwhelming attacks and follow-up assaults of the Flora Grunter, you should use various Karakuri techniques. You can use the bulwark when the wild boar charges at you or deploy the springboard when it causes the ground to shake.
Amaterasu
What kind of monster is this? The Amaterasu is a giant orange bird reminiscent of a phoenix, worshiped as a deity since ancient days. However, every region that worships him is doomed to destruction.
Strategy: The Amaterasu absorbs the power of sunlight within its body to execute devastating attacks. However, while it absorbs the rays, it is particularly vulnerable at its wings.
Additionally, you can restrict the movement of the Amaterasu by attacking it with a harpoon Karakuri.
Frost Grim / Rasetsu
What kind of monster is this? Frost Grim is a wolf so cool that it can summon ice blocks even when there is no water nearby. Generally, there is a chilling cold emanating from the body of the dangerous Kemono. The wolf is known as “the terror of hunters” and possesses enormous strength. Additionally, it is very fast and can even be encountered in packs.
Strategy: In a fight with Frost Grim, it is important to keep an eye on the wolf despite its quick movements. An opportunity for counterattacks arises when Frost Grim creates an ice shield around itself. This is relatively easy to destroy and allows you to take the initiative and deal damage to the Kemono.
All previously shown Kemono can also be seen fighting against humans in the cinematic trailer of Wild Hearts. The Karakuri technique is also utilized:
