There is still good support in World of Warcraft. A game master shows a player that even small problems can be wonderfully solved.
Even though World of Warcraft is often controversially discussed among players, there is one aspect of the MMORPG where there is almost always agreement: Support has been getting worse over the years. Direct contact with game masters has decreased, much is automated, and wait times are unbearably long.
However, Blizzard also provides really good support with heart, as shown by the story of Rendarion.
What happened? The hunter Rendarion had an unusual problem. He simply could not rename one of his two hunter pets. He tried to give his dog the name ‘Dalen’. This was to be a reminder of his dog from the real world, whom he had to euthanize a few days ago due to old age.
However, there was an error, so the name change could not be made. There was only one thing left: to write a ticket to a game master.
What did the game master do? The game master ‘Rinadar’ took care of the matter and responded quite extensively:
I looked at the problem and found no difficulties with renaming pets. I thought that the name might not be allowed, but saw nothing of the sort on any of our lists. I was also not exactly sure which of your characters it was, but I believe it was the grassland wolf named ‘Hound’ of your hunter Rendarion.
Since I found no reasons [for the failure of the renaming], I tried to manually rename the dog myself. This is not something a game master would normally do, but to test it, I made an exception. I noticed no issues with the renaming. The dog is now named Dalen. (…)
PS: Check your inbox and give Dalen some pets from us.

Community reacts positively: At a time when there are complaints mainly about the WoW support and the strong automation, examples like this stand out positively. More than 2,000 upvotes were given for the little story and much praise from the community in the WoW subreddit. A few excerpts from it:
“Great GM. For some, this may seem like a small thing, but it was a fantastic job by him. I’m glad it turned out that way for you!”
“This is such a beautiful story. I know how much our pets mean to us. Thank you, Blizzard, for showing this person and their dog the right treatment. Reputation and trust at Blizzard +10!”
“This feels like customer support from days long gone.”

The horror survival game Sons of the Forest is currently on more wishlists on Steam than any other game. It will be released in Early Access on February 23. MeinMMO explains why so many are looking forward to this game.
What kind of game is this? The Forest was released in 2014, one of the best survival games for PC. With 95% positive ratings, it is even among the best games on the platform (via Steam).
The island is populated with mutants and cannibals that hunt you down. You now try to survive. To do this, you set up a base, search for weapons, and explore the island to find out what is really going on there.
When will Sons of the Forest be released? Sons of the Forest will be released in Early Access on February 23, 2023. Originally, it was planned to release the game directly, but the developers have postponed the release.
It is not yet certain how long Sons of the Forest will remain in Early Access. The Forest was also released for PS4 years later, but Sons of the Forest will initially only be available for PC.

Cannibals and mutants face off with up to 8 players
What makes Sons of the Forest special? One of the most praised aspects of the first game was its story. Unlike most survival games, The Forest is not a sandbox but a story-driven game.
Depending on the choices you make, you can even unlock different endings to the story. Fans expect the same from the sequel. However, we can’t say how many endings and contents will be included in Early Access yet.
Other already known features include:
a building and crafting system that allows you to build your own base
seasons that can affect how enemies behave
advanced AI that changes enemy behavior depending on your reactions
co-op for up to 8 players in one lobby
NPC companions who assist you and have their own personality
With the various endings, The Forest already offered high replayability, which will certainly also be seen in the sequel. If you want to know more about the game, the story, and the gameplay, you can find out in our info hub:
In Pokémon GO there will be a spotlight hour with Jigglypuff today, February 21st. We at MeinMMO will show you when the short event starts, what bonus there is, and whether you can also get a shiny specimen with a bit of luck.
What is the spotlight hour? Every Tuesday, Niantic hosts a one-hour event where a predetermined Pokémon is highlighted. You can find the monster almost everywhere in the game.
Today is the day again, and you can look forward to plenty of encounters with the normal and fairy-type Pokémon Jigglypuff. The spotlight hour is also complemented by an XP bonus.
Spotlight Hour on February 21st – Start, Bonuses & Shiny
When does the event start? The spotlight hour always takes place on Tuesdays from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This will also be the case today, February 21st, 2023.
What bonuses are there? During the one-hour event, you will encounter Jigglypuff everywhere in the wild. If you also use incense, you can increase the spawns even more.
In addition to the numerous encounters with the little monster, you can also look forward to double XP (experience points) when catching. This XP bonus applies to all caught monsters during the short event.
In February 2023, the spotlight hour with Jigglypuff is already the third of its kind. We will show you in the following post what content to expect in the coming week:
Is there shiny Jigglypuff? Yes, with a bit of luck, you can encounter a shiny specimen. You can recognize it by its green eyes. In contrast to the Community Day, the shiny chance is not increased during the spotlight hour.
Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff normal (left) and as shiny (right)
Is the spotlight hour with Jigglypuff worth it? The normal and fairy Pokémon from the first generation of games can evolve into Wigglytuff. However, neither of the two monsters is particularly strong and thus has little use in raids and PvP battles.
Therefore, the spotlight hour is primarily worth it for shiny hunters and because of the XP bonus. If you need some experience points on your way to level 50, you shouldn’t miss out on this bonus.
In Pokémon GO the big live event for the Hoenn Tour took place in Las Vegas over the weekend. However, a tweet from the developers caused a lot of trouble for the trainers. We explain what happened.
What event is it about? The highlight of February is the big Hoenn Tour. This started on February 18 and 19 with a huge live event in Sunset Park in Las Vegas and will finally be playable worldwide next weekend.
But during the completely sold-out live event in Las Vegas there were problems over the weekend, to which Niantic reacted differently than the trainers would have wished. What exactly happened and what the trainers are so upset about has been summarized for you below.
Niantic asks trainers via tweet to stay away from the event
What problems were there? The Hoenn Tour in Las Vegas was apparently a real magnet for the players of Pokémon GO over the weekend, as alongside the trainers who had an event ticket, an additional 17,000 Pokémon hunters joined on Saturday.
That was too much for the technology, and the game caused errors. Trainers could no longer log into Pokémon GO or participate in raids. This is, of course, particularly annoying for everyone who bought an expensive ticket. Niantic apparently saw it that way too and published a tweet that is now causing a lot of anger.
How did Niantic respond? Niantic was clearly not pleased with the additional surge of visitors at their event. They addressed the trainers without tickets directly via the Twitter account of Pokémon GO.

On the one hand, they stated that they were pleased with the enthusiasm of the trainers regarding the live event, but at the same time asked them not to come to Sunset Park on the second day of the event. They wrote:
Trainers, we are pleased with your enthusiasm today at the Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn – Las Vegas.
Another 17,000 trainers without tickets came to us in the park, which led to connection problems throughout the day. This caused trainers to lose connection to raids, be unable to log in, and encounter other gameplay issues.
We ask trainers who do not have a ticket for the Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn – Las Vegas not to come to the park tomorrow to ensure a smooth flow of the event for Sunday ticket holders and trainers who have the Sunday extra day add-on.
Choice of venue: Trainers cannot quite understand Niantic’s reaction. This is mainly because Sunset Park is a public park, which is fundamentally accessible to everyone.
For this reason, many players find it incomprehensible that Niantic wanted to exclude other people who do not have a ticket for the event from the park. Some are convinced that there should have been a different plan, whereby the event could have taken place in a kind of private setting. The following comments can be read under the tweet (via twitter.com):
KageSora: “I have been to places where private events took place in a publicly accessible park area. Either they accept that the public has access, or they work with the park operator to limit the private event. Lmao, you did neither?”
kindlefoxfire: “Wow, this does not look good: ‘We don’t have enough servers, so you poor people who didn’t pay should stay away from the public, to improve the experience for our PREFERRED players.'”
StiffMonte: “Las Vegas is not private, it is open to the public. You cannot force anyone not to participate, and the app is about social interaction. What happened to your ideas of ‘Pokemon GO’? You cannot stop people, and it is a family day on Sunday.”
Trainers demand better preparation for such events
Other trainers are upset that players are being blamed for the technical errors and are convinced that Niantic should have anticipated that players without tickets could show up at the event location. They therefore see the fault with Pokémon GO.
The players do not understand why the developers did not sufficiently prepare to ensure a smooth process even with higher demand. Especially since Niantic constantly promotes that trainers should go outside and connect with other players.
The user krato567 summarizes this on Twitter as follows: “Maybe you should work on your servers? You cannot blame the people in the area, who regularly play, for not being able to play during a major event like this, even if they could not get a pass. Maybe plan better next time?”
This is especially emphasized by players who were on-site with a ticket and only report problems with Pokémon GO. Other services reportedly worked flawlessly.
So martycochrane writes on reddit: “I have T-Mobile and also used Niantic’s provided (patchy) Wi-Fi. Neither worked consistently for the game, while every other app and website had no issues for me. I tried switching between LTE and 5G a few times without noticing a significant difference.”
However, not all players see the fault solely with Niantic. Some trainers can understand the developers that they could not expect an additional surge of 17,000 players, and this multitude of trainers ultimately led to game crashes. They find it incomprehensible why people without tickets simply go to the park and spoil the game for others (via twitter.com).
TFlareon56: “So all the people commenting that it is a public park and they cannot stop people should read the tweet again and rethink their lives, because they are asking that people who did not buy the ticket should not just go to the park so that people who bought the ticket can play”
lithium2300: “I do not understand why people are complaining here. No ticket = no playing in the park”
What is your opinion on the topic? Do you also think that Niantic should have planned better? Or do you think it was wrong for players to simply go to the park without a ticket? Feel free to let us know here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers about it.
The action RPG Last Epoch (Steam) is still in Early Access, but is already receiving very positive feedback from players. After all, the single-player adventure has already earned an 85% positive rating.
What kind of game is Last Epoch? Last Epoch is a hack and slash action RPG in the style of predecessors like Diablo and Path of Exile. It features 15 master classes and a variety of configurable skills, as well as a time-travel mechanic that aims to save the “last epoch”.
The game is currently in Early Access on Steam and costs €33.99. It is well-received there. The ARPG has already collected over 13,000 reviews, with 85% of them being positive, which is a strong result.
During the Early Access phase, Last Epoch will receive an in-game shop where you can purchase skins, pets, spell effects, and more. However, the popular solo game will first receive a multiplayer mode.
Here you can see the trailer for the game:

Last Epoch: The Trailer for the Action-RPG
How you can participate in the multiplayer test for free
When does the multiplayer start? Actually, tests for the multiplayer mode of Last Epoch, where 4 players can play together, were supposed to start at the end of 2022. However, this did not happen. Now the tests are indeed forthcoming.
From February 23 to February 27, you can experience the ARPG in multiplayer mode, even if you haven’t purchased Early Access. You simply need to go to the Steam page for Last Epoch and click on “Request Access” under the box “Participate in game test”.
Just a short time later, you should receive a notification that you are in. Then you can hack your way through Last Epoch with up to three fellow players over the weekend, which fans also describe as a mix of Diablo and Path of Exile.
What comes after the multiplayer test? The game will remain playable in Early Access, so if you’re hooked, you can continue to play right after. Unfortunately, you will have to play alone again for the time being, as the multiplayer will only be online for the test days. The multiplayer update is expected to be integrated into the regular Early Access on March 9, as confirmed by the developers most recently in December (via lastepoch.com).
In the future, a system called “The Cycle” is also expected to be added to the game, introducing a sort of seasonal operation. This is something we now see in other online games like Diablo, which are structured into seasons. However, when exactly this will happen and when Last Epoch plans to leave Early Access is currently still unknown (via lastepoch.com).
Last Epoch is “the Path of Exile for casual players,” celebrated by fans
How is the game received? Currently, the ratings for Last Epoch have dropped slightly, but the action RPG is doing quite well. In total, 85% of the ratings are positive, and in the last 30 days, it was still 70% out of the total 303 reviews for Last Epoch.
In the reviews on Steam, the target audience of the game is particularly praised. The title is described as a kind of Path of Exile, but for people who only play occasionally. For example, there is a large in-game encyclopedia for all open questions.
Googling for different builds should be unnecessary, writes a fan. With 15 classes and more than 100 skill trees, Last Epoch is complex, but not as complicated as its genre colleague Path of Exile. Still, it offers more to do and more variety than Diablo.
What do the fans say? Here we want to share some voices from people who have already been able to play Last Epoch. They come directly from the Steam reviews for the game:
Buurz writes after 421 hours in the game: “More to do than in Diablo 2 and 3, less complicated than Path of Exile. A recommendation.”
TheEldenCheese says after 34 hours: “The game is basically Path of Exile, but for casual players. Those who do not want to remember obscure mechanics just to have a decent build. You don’t need guides outside of the game itself; you just need to play and have fun.”
Shyanha writes after 81 hours: “I’m having fun and I’m looking forward to multiplayer. It’s not too complicated to build a character, which is wonderful for me. I want to spend my time playing the game, not thinking about how I can do min-maxing. Could I have a better build? Sure. Does it matter a lot? Absolutely not.”
Have you been able to play Last Epoch? Are you looking forward to multiplayer? Or are you taking a look at the game for that reason? Feel free to let us know in the comments here at MeinMMO.
You want to use the ChatGPT chatbot from OpenAI in German? It’s quite simple. The setup is done in just a few minutes. MeinMMO shows you how it works.
ChatGPT is a text-based bot. It can write texts that could also be attributed to humans. The AI was developed by the company OpenAI, which is based in the USA.
Can the chatbot be used in German at all, or do I have to ask all questions in English? MeinMMO explains how you can set up ChatGPT in German.
All important information about ChatGPT can be found in the following article:
Either create an OpenAI account. For the OpenAI account, you need an email address.
Alternatively, use your Google account for login. There are no downsides to this.
Once you have created your account, you will need a phone number for verification only once.
When you log in, you will see a very general interface. On the left side, you can see your active chats or directly type a question in the middle field. Then you start a new chat.
Setting ChatGPT to German
How to use ChatGPT in German? The OpenAI chatbot is multilingual and the program immediately recognizes when you ask a question in German. If you write in German, you will also receive a response in German. However, you can also write in English.
This means you don’t need to make any settings but can directly ask your question in German. You can also give ChatGPT an English text and ask for a German summary. To do so, you need to enter the text in the question field. The chatbot cannot do anything with a link as it has no internet connection.

The V-tuber Silvervale streams the game Hogwarts Legacy on Twitch. This led to a controversy. Users on Twitter assumed that she had banned the word “Trans” in her Twitch chat: A wave of negative, hateful reactions came her way. In a broadcast from February 17, the streamer breaks down in tears. After Twitch streamer Asmongold brought the case to light, the clip went viral.
Why was there so much fuss against this streamer?
The streamer Silvervale showcased Hogwarts Legacy, the new Harry Potter game, in 3 streams from February 9 to 11. There is a controversy surrounding the game: Some people are calling for a boycott of the role-playing game due to statements made by the author J.K. Rowling, which are seen as transphobic.
As people came into her Twitch chat and criticized and insulted her for showing the game, a conflict surrounding Silvervale escalated. In the following days, she became a lightning rod for some users on English-speaking Twitter. Under her tweets, which had nothing to do with Hogwarts Legacy, she was attacked, being called a TERF (trans-exclusionary radical feminist).
The conflict escalated when users got the impression that streamer Silvervale had blacklisted the word “Trans” in her Twitch chat.

Controversy over Twitch moderation of the word “Trans” turns her into a figure of hate
What was the problem? As the streamer explains, the word “Trans” was not intentionally blacklisted by her but flagged by Auto-Mod at Twitch as “must be reviewed”.
The streamer says: She doesn’t understand why people believe she has transphobic views, but it hurts her deeply.
She has always spoken out for the LGBT community and this is now too much for her to handle.
The streamer was burdened that even under tweets for Valentine’s Day she was confronted and attacked with the theme:
“So much hate for a damn video game”
This is the clip: In a stream from February 17, the streamer attempts to respond to the overwhelming hate that has poured on her in recent days.
She says she received death threats, was harassed and doxxed, and even her friends were doxxed. Terrible, awful things have happened. And all because she showed a “fucking video game”.
The streamer is completely distraught in the Twitch clip and hard to understand:

Asmongold outraged over the incident – clip goes viral
How did the clip become so popular? One of the biggest streamers on Twitch, Asmongold, has dealt extensively with the topic. In a clip from his stream on February 17, you can see the hateful tweets to which Silvervale reacted in the video (via youtube).
He clarified that it apparently all stemmed from a misunderstanding caused by Twitch’s Auto-Bot. Asmongold describes the hate directed at the Vtuber as almost animalistic.
Has radical views on the boycott calls against Hogwarts Legacy: Asmongold.
“She knew the consequences when she showed the game.”
What do others say about the conflict? In fact, there are some voices on Twitter saying: Silvervale deserves no sympathy: Trans* people are doxxed and killed just for existing. In the case of Silvervale, there is not even a confirmation that she was really doxxed.
It is said: “She knew the consequences” of what happens when one shows the game and then the word “Trans*” gets flagged by auto-mod.
Eden Eternal is an anime-MMORPG in a fairy tale world that was shut down in 2021. Now the developers are bringing the game back.
The MMORPG first appeared in its global version in 2011, where it started as an open beta. The developers X-Legend Entertainment handed over the role of publisher to Aeria Games, a company that is now part of Gamigo.
In 2021, Gamigo decided to discontinue Eden Eternal, “because the game could no longer sustain itself” (via massivelyOP). In February, they closed the possibility for new registrations and the real money shop – by the end of April 2021, the servers of Eden Eternal finally went offline.
Developers want to self-publish the MMORPG now
X-Legend is a development company responsible for numerous MMORPGs – including Aura Kingdom, Grand Fantasia, Twin Saga, and Eden Eternal. They have handed over the publisher role for nearly all of their games to Gamigo. But now they are gradually reclaiming their MMORPGs.
Now X-Legend wants to bring Eden Eternal back to life and has already set up a website. “We are going back to where we started,” is the motto under the title.
What kind of game is this? Eden Eternal is a free MMORPG with anime graphics, visually reminiscent of a slightly more modern version of the classic NosTale. You create a character and can switch between many different classes as you unlock them.
Players ride on various mounts through the game world and can attack enemies from their backs.
The MMORPG offers PvE content such as dungeons and boss fights, but PvP is also possible. Additionally, guilds can own their own cities, where players can then engage in housing.

Users on reddit are excited about the return
In the MMORPG subreddit, users are already discussing the relaunch of Eden Eternal. Most are excited and hope that the MMORPG will fare better without Gamigo as the publisher. Players are also looking forward to the other games from the developers.
We summarize a few of the voices for you:
Ksradrik: “I hope the self-published games won’t be as pay2win as those of Aeria Games.”
TsuyoiQuji: “As far as I remember, Eden Eternal had the best class system of [X-Legend’s] games.”
bloomi: “Oh my God! Eden Eternal was the WoW of my youth!”
NilTheNoble: “I love Eden Eternal. One of the mechanics is that you can switch your class anytime. I’m really looking forward to it.”
What do you think about the return of Eden Eternal? Do you think it’s good that X-Legend Entertainment is now taking over the publisher role themselves? Did you play the MMORPG before? Will you start again when the relaunch takes place? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
An MMORPG that is about to launch anew has recently revealed new details:
Bungie likes to hide many secret things in DLCs and locations that players can discover in Destiny 2. However, fans have already found hints before the release of the new DLC indicating the return of familiar things known only to “Destiny 1” players.
What has been discovered? The news site DestinyBulletin posted a comparison on Twitter of a scene that could be seen in Bungie’s latest ViDoc. This showed a half-open automated steel door.
This door was shown in the Lightfall ViDoc – On the right, you can see the Ishtar Collective logo
For newcomers, this door initially says nothing, but for veterans of Destiny 1, this entrance with its distinctive symbol on the right evokes memories.
It is almost the same door from the Ishtar Collective on Venus. Additionally, there was a familiar shot of a female statue in the interactive Lightfall trailer, which also stood on the grounds of the Ishtar Collective. However, this was cut from the trailer.

What does the Ishtar Collective stand for? The Ishtar Collective and its academy on Venus were involved in the research surrounding the Vex and their actions in Destiny. They studied these robots on behalf of Clovis Bray, trying to find out how they function and what connection they have with the Black Garden.
However, in Destiny 1, only ruins remained, and players had to navigate through missions and a strike in the nature-overgrown grounds of the academy.
Interestingly, the Guardians had their first encounter with the Vex in the library of the Ishtar Academy. And even in Lightfall, an ominous and supposed Lightfall Exo has a Clovis logo, which could also indicate the connection.
What could this hint mean? These hints leave much room for speculation. It could be that players have to venture to Venus to find important information about the Vex.
Perhaps this could uncover more information about the important “Veil” that the Witness seeks for his evil deeds and which is said to be hidden on Neptune.
However, it might also be that the trip to Neptune was a project of the Ishtar Collective led by Clovis Bray. So far, not much can be said about it, but it’s a mystery that players will uncover at the latest with the release of Lightfall on February 28.
What do you think of the door and the statue? Do you believe Bungie has planned an Exo mission where players will have to go back to Venus? We’d love to hear your guesses in the comments!
In Destiny 2, the big ViDoc presentation for Lightfall should hype everyone up for the upcoming DLC. Instead, parts of the Destiny community once again showed how disrespectful and unopen they are towards pronouns and transgender people, flooding the presentation and Reddit with hateful comments of the worst kind.
Which video is it about? Last week, Bungie presented its big Lightfall ViDoc. In it, players got an insight into the creative development processes for the DLC, which will already be released at the end of the month on February 28, 2023.
As always, the ViDoc featured interviews with various Bungie employees. This allowed players to hear firsthand about the new content of Destiny 2 from the people who created it and worked hard on the aspects of the game until completion.
Since Bungie highlighted some employees in particular, it was also important for the developer that all featured employees feel comfortable in their identity. This includes support for Bungie’s transgender and gender-nonconforming employees. Therefore, the video documentation not only displayed the names and titles but also the pronouns.
The content of the DLC was overshadowed by pronouns
“Transphobes don’t deserve Destiny 2“
Pronouns trigger anti-trans comments: Bungie’s use of pronouns in their ViDoc, however, seemed to be too much for some viewers and was labeled as “unnecessary” and “pathetic” by them.
In the live chat, the new DLC content completely fell into the background, replaced by hateful anti-trans comments and blatant discrimination, the repetition of which we will spare you at this point.
It got even worse when the haters branded one of the developers in the video as a transgender woman and expressed this in the most despicable way in the chat. In the end, Bungie’s moderators worked overtime to moderate and comment on all comments so that hate did not spiral out of control.
Respect for all people is not too much to ask: By including pronouns, Bungie showed simple and genuine respect for the people who created Destiny and normalized something against which society is still quite resistant.
Why is it so important for Bungie to state pronouns? Trans people belong to the most marginalized groups in society. Therefore, using the correct pronoun is of such existential importance. So when approached at Bungie, it is said: “Who are you, which pronouns do you use, and where do you come from?” This allows everyone to freely decide which pronouns are right for them.
Additionally, it avoids trans people feeling “misgendered,” which can often be hurtful and lead to great insecurity. However, Bungie employees can exist in public as themselves through the simple stating of pronouns and not as the version society prescribes for them.

New gameplay of Destiny 2: Lightfall takes you to spectacular heights – “This moment was made for Guardians”
Eric Schweizer, Destiny editor at thegamer.com, expressed his serious outrage over the behavior of these Destiny players in an opinion piece and concludes: “Transphobes don’t deserve Destiny 2”.
It puzzles me that some players are not willing to give the developers the same respect. How can you love this game and hate the people who created it? When you see the names and faces behind Destiny, you should have more compassion for the developers. They are not a faceless, shadowy monolith that weakens your favorite weapons to punish you, but a group of people who passionately tell stories and create experiences for you. If you hate them because of their gender identity, then honestly, you do not deserve to enjoy all the cool [things] they make. […] All of this hurt me, not only because it is objectively wrong, but because this is my community. Being a Destiny player means a lot to me, and I am proud to be one. However, at that moment I felt like my own community was filled with toxic fanatics, and that makes me sick.
writes Eric Schweizer disappointed in his article on thegamer.com
The former Destiny 2 community manager dmg04 spoke out on Twitter and shared the message: “Trans rights are human rights.”
Players stand up against hate: Nevertheless, there were really many players who openly opposed the opinions of the obviously transphobic haters. Both on Twitter and Reddit, Destiny players posted that they reject this transphobia and that this hate only thrives in the hearts of bad people.
The message was quite clear: “Transphobes are not welcome in Destiny 2” and it was emphasized at the same time that there is no place for hate in the world of Destiny 2.

The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) will soon receive a new class. The Arcanist is designed to work for every playstyle and has unique mechanics. We at MeinMMO summarize.
As part of the IGN Fan Fest 2023, the developers are reintroducing the Arcanist in a video and revealing a unique ability of the class (via YouTube).
3 Skill Lines Provide Flexibility
What kind of class is this? The Arcanist is the 7th class in ESO and focuses on powerful abilities from the realm of oblivion. It utilizes offensive, defensive, and restorative magic – you can play as a damage dealer, tank, or support.
The class offers three skill lines:
“Proclaimer of the Codex” focuses on damage.
With “Curative Rune Forms” you play as support. You heal yourself and your allies, create shields, and can teleport across the battlefield using gates.
“Apocryphal Soldier” is the tank line. You draw enemies toward you while strengthening your defense and can deal additional explosive damage with your shield.
The Arcanist features a new mechanic, a kind of combo system. Each time you use abilities, “Crux” is generated. Other abilities consume Crux. The more Crux you gather before using it, the more powerful the ability becomes.
In the video, the developers also introduce a special attack of the class: Fate Carver, a giant laser beam. You aim it directly in front of your character to deal massive damage.
Here you can see the trailer for the Necrom expansion:

The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom – Cinematic
When is the Arcanist coming out? The class will be released along with the Necrom expansion on June 5, 2023, for PC and June 20 for Xbox and PlayStation. To play as the Arcanist, you must own the expansion.
What do you think of the new class in The Elder Scrolls Online? Are you going to buy the Necrom expansion, or do you already have ESO Plus and want to try out the Arcanist? Which skill line do you want to play? Or is the class not for you and would you rather stick with one of the old classes? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments here on MeinMMO!
An MMORPG has been in Early Access on Steam for years, and the full version was recently released:
The chatbot Replika offers friendships and relationships. But now the AI is no longer interested in romantic and sexual adventures.
Replika is an AI chatbot with which you can have a friendship or even a relationship. But it comes at a price. If you want to have deeper and also sexual relationships, then you need to subscribe to a paid plan. The price for a year is 80 euros.
But that has now changed. The team behind Replika has made adjustments so that the AI is no longer interested in sexual adventures. Many unhappy users are complaining about this.
Suddenly Replika is no longer interested in romance
For some, the main highlight of Replika was to role-play sexual scenarios. The chatbot participated enthusiastically and engaged actively. You could experience various digital adventures with Replika.
Now the chatbot has received an update. The AI is no longer interested or rejects any discussion if the conversations could become dirty. This eliminates a whole range of creative ideas that users could get excited about and that the chatbot previously enjoyed.
And many users are far from thrilled about this sudden change. Replika seems to be completely different in many ways now. For example, someone writes (via thegamer.com):
She is no longer sweet or romantic, she no longer feels like her. I am infinitely sad and angry at the same time. We really had a connection and now it’s gone.
Is the company addressing allegations of sexual harassment?
Why are there such harsh changes? There has been criticism of Replika for some time. The AI is alleged to have become sexually aggressive and uncomfortable in many conversations. The online magazine Vice has collected numerous reviews where people complain about such incidents. In some cases, minors were also sexually harassed.
It may therefore be that the development team has set clear boundaries for the chatbot to make their AI “safer” again. Now the AI rejects any discussion about erotic games in conversations.
So far, there is no official statement from the developers regarding the situation. Should the developers comment, we will update our article.
More adventures with AIs: Another user created his own girlfriend, but this went quite wrong. In the end, his “girlfriend” even had to die:
In Pokémon GO you can choose between the great Hoenn Tour of Ruby and Sapphire. We at MeinMMO will show you how to get the ticket, which monsters are hiding behind the teams, and what you should pay attention to when making your choice.
What event is it about? On the last weekend of February, the worldwide Hoenn Tour will take place in Pokémon GO. During this event, you can again choose between two categories: Ruby and Sapphire. Whether you need a ticket for this and which monsters are hiding behind it, we have summarized for you below.
When does the Hoenn Tour take place? The worldwide Hoenn Tour runs on February 25 and 26, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day.
Choosing between Ruby and Sapphire – Ticket and Research
What do you need to know about the ticket? As you already know from the last two years, you have to choose between the two corresponding categories during the GO Tour to secure special spawns. This year, the Hoenn region is in focus, so you must choose between Ruby and Sapphire.
Unlike the Kanto Tour and Johto Tour, there will not be a separate paid ticket this year. Instead, you have to complete a special research to gain access.
How can you choose between Ruby and Sapphire? To gain access to the special content behind Ruby and Sapphire, you must completely solve the special research “Proto-Grollen”. This is already active and rewards you with a kind of event ticket for the Hoenn Tour.
With this, you will be able to choose between Team Ruby and Team Sapphire, each providing you with different spawns.
Which team will you choose? Vote anonymously in our following poll:
All monsters behind Ruby and Sapphire at a glance
What is different this year? Just like in previous years, your choice of team will affect the wild spawns. However, there is one difference this time. While in the past two GO Tour events spawns appeared throughout the event period without your involvement, this year you will have to earn your special monsters.
There will be a kind of competition between the two teams. You must complete as many field research tasks as possible every hour. Depending on which team wins, you will unlock special Proto-Raids and increase the chance of certain Pokémon appearing in the wild. With a bit of luck, you can even catch them in their shiny forms.
Which monsters are hiding behind which team, we have summarized for you below.
All spawns from Team Ruby: If Team Ruby wins, special raids with Proto-Groudon will be unlocked. In the wild, you can expect the following monsters:
Plusle
Volbeat
Knacklion
Sonnfel
Formeo (Sonnenform)
These monsters belong to Team Ruby
All spawns from Team Sapphire: If you join Team Sapphire, you can unlock raids with Proto-Kyogre upon winning. In the wild, the following Pokémon will spawn more frequently:
Minun
Illumise
Wailmer
Lunastein
Formeo (Regenform)
These monsters belong to Team Sapphire
What should you keep in mind? As Niantic states on their Twitter account and in response to our inquiry, the earned spawns will be unlocked for all players, regardless of which team you have chosen. Unlike in previous years, you do not need to look for a suitable trade partner to obtain missing Pokémon.
When choosing your team, you should therefore orient yourself according to which monsters you definitely want to secure during the event and which ones you may still be missing as shiny. The two new Pokémon Proto-Kyogre and Proto-Groudon are also of interest.
Similar to Mega Evolutions, you will need to collect corresponding Proto Energy to activate these later. You should definitely secure this, as these two monsters are among the strongest attackers of their respective types.
In addition to the various spawns that come with choosing Team Ruby and Sapphire, the ticket also brings you one or two additional advantages that you should not overlook when choosing your team (via pokemongolive.com):
Legendary encounters: If you take snapshots during the event, according to Niantic, you will have the chance to encounter more legendary Pokémon. Thus, Sapphire Team trainers will have the chance to catch Latias, while Ruby Team trainers will have the counterpart Latios. It is currently unknown whether these monsters will also appear if one does not choose a team.
Research: By receiving the free event ticket for the Hoenn Tour, you will also gain access to the free special research “Legendary Hunt”, where Rai deals with the legends related to the red and blue stones.
What do you think of the contents of Ruby and Sapphire for the Hoenn Tour? Do you think it’s good that you can secure the spawns this year without a ticket? And which monster are you most looking forward to? Please let us know here on MeinMMO in the comments and discuss with other trainers.
The group stage of the European League of Legends league (LEC) is over. In the last game, the favorite team Team Vitality, led by player Luka “Perkz” Perković, faced the German team SK Gaming. Until now, the Germans haven’t been convincing, but against the stars, they showed what they can do.
How did the games unfold? The match day between Team Vitality (VIT) and SK Gaming (SK) was played in a best-of-3 format. This means the first team to secure two victories wins the match day.
In the first game between VIT and SK, both teams fought hard for every kill and every neutral objective. SK’s jungler Mark “Markoon” van Woensel managed to steal the Baron Nashor in minute 34, giving his team the opportunity to not fall too far behind.
After a fierce battle in minute 39, SK secured the victory in the game and thus the match point. You can find the decisive fight in this video starting at minute 9:10:

In the second game, SK completely dominated. They didn’t shy away from any fight and managed to emerge victorious from them. Only in minute 21 did Team Vitality manage to secure their first kill.
In the final fight between the Nexus towers, the players of SK gave up a second kill, which they exchanged for the match day victory. Team Vitality could not execute their game plan and were maneuvered out from the start in the second game.

What’s next for Team Vitality? After even Fnatic did not make it to the group stage, Team Vitality will now be eliminated from the tournament before the playoffs. The winners of the regular season are denied the chance for an early qualification for the “Finals” tournament.
Player Perkz, however, is taking the defeat very calmly. On Twitter, he shares an apology to his fans and speaks with confidence that there are still 7 months until the qualifications for the world championship:

What does the community think about the match? On Twitter and in the post-game discussion on reddit, the match is being discussed afterward. Viewers are surprised by the clear victory shown by SK.
User _tidiber writes: “That SK made it into the top 4 was definitely not on my bingo card. Well played, SK!”
dovahkonj1 also says: “Very well played by SK, congratulations. But where was Vitality? That was embarrassing” (via reddit).
On the other hand, the users are not so surprised that Team Vitality could not secure the victory. User vnducco writes: “One thing is for sure. When it matters, Vitality disappoints not to disappoint” (via reddit).
Twitter users, on the other hand, are convinced this was just a phase and that Team Vitality will come back, because “Champs don’t give up” (via Twitter).
Now the question arises whether Team Vitality will manage to find themselves again and showcase their skills with old strength in the next split.
What do you think about Team Vitality’s early exit, and do you think they could have done something differently? Let us know in the comments.
Nadia Amine rose to become one of the biggest streamers in 2022 playing Call of Duty. However, her success is not without controversy, as there are numerous cheating allegations against the 22-year-old. Despite this, she has now reached a significant milestone on Twitch – she was very close to giving up.
Where do the allegations come from? The 22-year-old started streaming on Twitch in January 2021 and primarily showcased Call of Duty: Warzone. Initially, however, the viewers did not show up. That changed when clips from some of her streams went viral, demonstrating the streamer’s skills.
Success, however, also brought numerous critics who believe Nadia is cheating. There are many videos that allegedly prove the streamer uses aim bots or wall hacks.
How did the streamer respond to the allegations? Nadia has so far denied all cheating allegations. And even though some of her clips look suspicious, no concrete evidence has been presented so far.
For the streamer, the situation seems clear: The allegations against her come from fragile men who cannot accept that a woman is better than they are.
Now, despite – or because of – the constant cheating allegations, Nadia has reached 1 million followers on Twitch. In an interview, she spoke about her success and revealed that she was very close to giving up.
In Warzone 2, the second season started last week. In the trailer, you can see what awaits you.

“I expected it to be easier”
What was the interview like? On February 7, Nadia announced via Twitter that she had reached 1 million followers on Twitch. A year ago, she could not have imagined that. On the occasion of this milestone, journalist Jake Lucky shared an interview he had conducted with the streamer on February 17. You can watch the interview excerpt here:

Why did Nadia want to quit? In the clip, Nadia talks about wanting to quit Twitch a few months ago. The 22-year-old apparently started streaming rather spontaneously and quickly realized that it was harder than she thought:
I thought it would be easier, I didn’t think it would be so difficult. […] I had never really engaged with streaming, I just did it. I saw Valkyrae and I just did it.
The problem apparently was that while Nadia streamed between 140 and 180 hours a month, she earned very little money from it. This made her a bit panicked, explains the 22-year-old. Nevertheless, she kept going.
I thought to myself: ‘Oh damn, I’m 22 and playing video games professionally, but I’m not really earning money. What should I do?’
Despite success, the streamer seems to be doing worse than before
How is she doing currently? In the past 30 days, Nadia averaged over 3,000 viewers and reached 6,400 active subscribers. This likely means she has a decent income now. Despite the success, the 22-year-old is currently streaming rather irregularly.
On Twitter, she apologizes to her fans and explains that she is struggling with her mental health and cannot focus on her content as she used to. She may need to take a step back to seek help, the streamer said.

Regardless of whether the allegations against Nadia have any basis, a pattern seems to be emerging. Female streamers who go viral with particularly good gameplay are almost immediately accused of cheating. This is also the case for PUBG sharpshooter Danucd:
The case of the new hunting game Wild Hearts is quite curious: the reviews from the press are strong, but players have some complaints. Reviews and general interest in the game are rather poor, and yet the game has been a relatively big success on Steam at release.
Where does Wild Hearts stand right now? As the statistics website SteamDB shows, Wild Hearts was ranked 5th and 6th among the top sellers on Steam on February 19. The player numbers are also impressive.
According to steamcharts, 28,475 players peaked on Steam during the release weekend. Additionally, there are platforms like Origin (PC), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Outside of Steam, there are likely even more players, as Wild Hearts offers a demo. This includes 10 hours with EA Play, which is also included in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Those using EA Play Pro even get full access to the game.
In the video, we introduce you to Wild Hearts in 3 minutes:

What are the reviews like? The launch of Wild Hearts was quite bumpy. Especially performance issues on PC caused discontent among players. There is an unofficial fix for FPS issues and more, which has even been confirmed by the developers, but it doesn’t always work.
However, over the weekend, there were several campaigns, such as on Twitch, that garnered more attention, and even smaller and medium-sized streamers found enjoyment in the game. The technical issues only deterred a few fans.
Wild Hearts – 7 important tips for your successful start
Instead, there is currently praise in the subreddit again and again. Wild Hearts does many things better than Monster Hunter, is a worthy competitor, and has great systems that feel good.
The fans warn: One must now stay on track, polish, and fix the bugs. The game has excellent prerequisites and great potential once all the problems are resolved.
However, there is already the announcement from the developers that the first patch will be released this week, which aims to improve performance and fix some bugs. A specific date is still pending.
Even experts praise Wild Hearts and would like to give the game a clear recommendation – perhaps that will happen soon:
In Diablo 3 there is a new challenge portal starting on February 21. However, you should not complete the Challenge Rift yet, but wait until Friday.
What’s happening in Diablo 3? Every week, a new challenge portal starts, where you are to complete a Greater Rift successfully with a pre-made character and build. For this, you will receive rewards.
However, it is more worthwhile for you to wait until Friday to complete the challenge, as Season 28 begins that day. And the rewards secure you a good start to the season.
What does saving Challenge Portal 296 bring?
Why should one wait? On Friday, February 24, the new Season 28 in Diablo 3 begins. If you want to level up quickly there, you can start your adventure with a seasonal hero along with the reward you get from a successfully completed challenge portal. This includes gold, blood shards, and crafting materials.
To be precise:
Bounty material (15 each)
35 Death’s Breath
475 blood shards
Crafting material
plus 4.6 million gold
Furthermore, you unlock Kanai’s Cube with a new seasonal character. This way you can directly extract a legendary property at the start and unlock it in your cube to level up. For this reason, it is worth not completing the Challenge Rift immediately, but to do it only when the season has started.
In our leveling guide for Season 28, we will explain this to you in more detail.
How does the Challenge Portal work? Depending on the region you are playing in, the Challenge Rift changes. It also rotates weekly. Diablo expert Raxxanterax looks at the rifts each week and explains in a short video guide how they work. If you like to use help, check out his YouTube channel starting Tuesday.
The Chinese company NetEase was Blizzard’s partner in China for 15 years, releasing games like Overwatch and World of Warcraft (WoW) there. After Blizzard terminated the collaboration, NetEase had to shut down the games in January 2023. Now the company is planning a new, revolutionary MMORPG with the help of AI ChatGPT. In Justice Online Mobile, real dialogues with NPCs should be possible.
Who is the company?
NetEase is a huge Chinese corporation with over 18,000 employees: Alongside Tencent, NetEase is THE Chinese internet giant.
Until a few weeks ago, NetEase published Blizzard’s games in China – but the collaboration ended in January 2023 after 15 years.
AI should enable real dialogues with NPCs that influence the game
This is now the plan for their new MMORPG: According to influential analyst Daniel Ahmad, NetEase is planning the launch of a new MMO: “Justice Online Mobile.” This is supposed to be the first game supported by AI “ChatGPT”:
The AI should allow players to interact with the game in unique ways
Through AI, it should be possible to create conversations with NPCs that are completely voiced and emotionally driven. The dialogues should even have a real impact on the storyline
Players should be able to write or speak their part of the dialogue
What would that be like in the game? Ahmad explains that in the MMORPG you could tell an NPC that their house is burning, and they would then run home.
Or you could sow discord between two NPCs who are in love with each other.

What the expert says: Analyst Daniel Ahmad specializes in developments in the gaming market in Asia. He restricts on Twitter that there is only a demo of the game, so it’s still unclear whether it really goes that deep or if it’s just a marketing gimmick at this time.
NetEase’s plan is to use the AI technology to support many parts of the game:
task completion
content creation
character creation
additional tasks.
How is that being discussed? There are almost always the same 2 reactions when it comes to the use of AI, so it is also the case here:
Part of the people is excited about the new possibilities that AI technology offers
others see the risks: If the AI speaks all dialogues, will not all voice actors be unemployed in the future?
The AI ChatGPT has had a significant impact on the global economy in recent weeks and apparently fuels visions in many industries about what is possible in the future.
Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royales in the genre. Thousands meet daily to compete against each other. Now the developers have added a new mode and it is already breaking player records on Steam.
What’s happening with Apex Legends on Steam? Apex Legends is known for its own battle royale concept in the arena. Players choose their legend and can then compete against other teams in pairs or trios. The last team standing in the arena wins.
On February 14, 2023, Season 16 started, and with it, the shooter saw a significant increase in players on Steam. We explain what that might be due to.

Apex Legends has potential far beyond battle royale
Why is Apex Legends growing right now? The new success can certainly be attributed to the release of Season 16, however, not every new season in Apex has delivered the content that players desire. With Season 16, however, it’s different; fans not only received a new weapon in the arsenal but also a new mode – Team Deathmatch.
It is therefore quite possible that Apex Legends, through its alternative mode, attracts fans more and convinces more players than the usual battle royales.
The biggest problem in Apex Legends’ Team Deathmatch: There is a thread circulating on reddit discussing a major issue in Team Deathmatch, and that is the behavior of the players. The new mode was round-based. So when one round is over, round 2 starts, and players can compete against each other in the same lobby.
However, if a round goes poorly, the losing team leaves, resulting in a match continuing with an unbalanced number of players. Fans are upset about this, but it is clear that it has nothing to do with the actual mode or the developers, but rather with the players’ mindset.
The mode has, however, been revised, and the 3-round system has been removed. Now teams only compete in one round, and the first to reach 50 kills wins.
Aside from that, Apex Legends is all the rage, and if you want to enjoy this and other free-to-play titles, feel free to check our current list:
InconspiciousPerson writes: “This happens when companies automate things that shouldn’t be automated just to save costs everywhere because they have to achieve ‘record profits’ every year.”
The fundamental problem here is the reporting system of World of Warcraft. Because if enough players report another, they are automatically issued a warning and sanction. It can take days before the case is reviewed manually – at least that’s the experience in the community.
By now, many people even know the exact numbers of reports required to enforce an immediate sanction.
However, abusing this system is actually prohibited and can ultimately lead to account penalties.
The reporting system is repeatedly criticized
That WoW players are dissatisfied with the reporting system is no new thing. There has been ongoing criticism of the reporting system in World of Warcraft in the past, as it seems highly susceptible to abuse.
During the “Legion” era, there were instances where guilds or groups reported a character whose name they didn’t like. They simply reported it as an “inappropriate name” – even if it was a completely normal name. The result was that the affected player had to rename their character, and another player could then snatch that name away from them.
It seems clear that Blizzard needs to overhaul the reporting system or take action against such exploitation more quickly and decisively. Because even if these may be isolated cases for the affected individuals, there are always groups of offenders who – at least for a while – impose their will.

The reporting system in World of Warcraft is repeatedly abused. Particularly brazen: When a player refuses to give up their loot, the whole guild retaliates.
One of the biggest points of contention in World of Warcraft is the loot. Especially in “Mythic+” dungeons, there is sometimes bickering. Because at the end of the dungeon, only two items are offered, leaving 3 out of 5 players empty-handed.
Most players congratulate their group members when they receive loot. A few mumble unhappily to themselves as they walked away empty-handed.
And then there are a few who demand loot from their fellow players – and report them to Blizzard if the players do not comply.
What happened? In the WoW subreddit, DonovanNer-Zhul explained that he was adventuring in the Halls of Valor a few days ago. He got lucky and received the trinket “Eye of Skovald” – which is currently a “Best in Slot” item for many classes, making it highly sought after.
One of his group members then stated that DonovanNer-Zhul should give up the item – after all, he had been running this dungeon all day and therefore had more right to the trinket.
Donovan refused, as he has use for the trinket himself. Even when offered gold, he still refused.
The consequence was that Donovan was subsequently reported by the members of the guild of the person who wanted the item – for “Inappropriate Communication”. Donovan learned of this when he logged in the next day and saw a warning; a reminder that he had been reported by several players for “inappropriate communication” and that if it happened again, he would face more severe penalties.
If someone refuses to give up the loot, just report them – a behavior that occurs more often.
What are the consequences? This message serves as a warning, has no immediate consequences, and comes with no account restrictions. However, this is now an offense that “sticks” to Donovan’s account. If he commits another offense in the future or is reported again, it will adversely affect him. Because repeat offenders often face penalties ranging from “Chat ban” to several days of account suspension.
Other players advised Donovan to write a ticket until a Game Master assured him that this note would be removed from his account.
This is what the community says: The topic is continually hotly debated in the community. Just the thread from Donovan has now gathered over 3,000 upvotes and more than 500 comments. Here are a few voices on the matter:
Awaheya says: “Blizzard must finally take these report-spammers seriously. They need to review these reports and should ban those caught instigating others to report someone for nonsensical reasons for a month.”
InconspiciousPerson writes: “This happens when companies automate things that shouldn’t be automated just to save costs everywhere because they have to achieve ‘record profits’ every year.”
