Anthem was supposed to be BioWare’s Destiny, but it died just 2 years after release. Now a developer talks about the shooter and says the team knew the game was not finished.
What is Anthem?
What does the developer say now about Anthem? Ian Saterdalen is a game developer who worked for BioWare from September 2019 to March 2020. On Twitter, Saterdalen has now commented on the release of Anthem.
Saterdalen talks about the very short development time of Anthem, which according to him was just 15 months. He also states that the team knew the game was not finished.
We knew it was not finished because this game was literally developed in 15 months. That is outrageous for a game of this scope.

In the comments of the post, Saterdalen also addresses some statements from various Twitter users.
One user even praises the team, stating that the condition of Anthem was very impressive for only 15 months of development time and asks how they managed it. Saterdalen responds that many in the team worked over 90 hours per week during the 15 months.
Another user believed that EA pressured the developers to meet the deadline, but Saterdalen sees it differently:
I don’t think EA is to blame for everything. A developer and a publisher should have a healthy relationship of trust and transparency. It’s a two-sided relationship that I think was unsatisfactory on both sides.

What was the problem with Anthem? Shortly after the release of Anthem, it was clear that the game could not meet the expectations of many fans. The game system could not convince. On Metacritic, the loot shooter had a weak score of 59 at release.
A year after release, BioWare announced that they wanted to extensively revise Anthem. Subsequently, about 30 employees were to carry out a rework of the loot shooter. But in March 2021 came the big announcement: Anthem dies just 2 years after release.

What kind of list is this? Riot Games puts a lot of work and effort into producing trailers and videos for League of Legends. The studio collaborates with well-known bands, has the champions of the MOBA perform songs, and promotes the most important tournaments of the game.

What kind of video is this? At some point over the last few years, Riot Games thought that developing successful games like League of Legends and Valorant wasn’t enough, and the decision was made to additionally become a production company for animated music videos.
For this, the company even created its own band from the champions of the popular MOBA. This band is called K/DA. However, it does not stand for kills, deaths, and assists, but for the three members of the band: Evelynn, Kai’Sa, and Akali.
The “trailer” is accordingly a music video for the song POP/STARS. The real musical part was taken on by Madison Beer, (G)I-DLE, Jaira Burns.
How many views does the video have? With over 533 million views, POP/STARS sits at the top of the LoL videos. Since its release in 2018, there have also been 5.9 million “likes” added (via YouTube).

World of Warcraft is being completely overhauled. The WoW analyst Bellular is sure of this – and he has plenty of evidence.
World of Warcraft has changed significantly over the past few years. After a downward trend with “Battle for Azeroth” and “Shadowlands”, many things have changed for the better in Dragonflight. However, these improvements currently only apply to a relatively small part of the game world. We at MeinMMO have also speculated that Blizzard is already working behind the scenes on a complete overhaul of the old world.
But the YouTuber Bellular is also sure that the WoW developers are working on something very big – and he provides even more clues for this.
A large part of the evidence consists of the “assets” found in the game data, according to Bellular. Many overhauls of “old” buildings can be found. The original human buildings, like those that shape the city of Goldshire, have received a complete renewal with modern graphics – so far, however, these innovations are only in the game data, not yet in the game world.
In recent patches, more and more overhauls have been found. Orc fortress parts in a new design, tents of the night elves in HD resolution, and much, much more.
Additionally, many “old” things have already been updated in recent years. The Arathi Basin and the Warsong Gulch have received a new look. In “Battle for Azeroth”, many new buildings in the style of the Horde and Alliance were created that fit well into the old world.
Numerous old enemy types have received a modern HD design, especially Gnolls, Furbolgs, and Centaurs. Gone are the days when these creatures consisted only of pixel mush.
City guards of Ironforge have already received an HD update, with new armor and high-resolution details – but so far the model remains hidden in the game data.
All these updates that Blizzard has used in other parts of the world could affect all of Azeroth and “facilitate” a complete renewal, so that this mammoth task can actually happen within an expansion.
But even currently there is much to do in WoW, as Patch 10.1 is still quite fresh:
Between Shadowlands and Dragonflight, there was already a small time skip of several years. However, in most areas of Azeroth, there is hardly any sign of this. Aside from the Arathi Highlands or the Darkshore, most areas are still at the “Cataclysm” level – and thus are historically many years in the past.
But the story continues, and relentlessly. In the recent Warcraft books (such as “Exploring Kalimdor” or “Exploring The Eastern Kingdoms”), it is already told how the areas have slowly changed and what has happened there in recent years. These are all events that have so far only been treated externally, but in the game are only mentioned in passing in a quest and are not yet really playable.
Furthermore, Blizzard has dropped more and more hints that some big things will happen in the coming years. Here are just a few of the “story promises” that have already been hinted at:
In Patch 10.0.7, the “Nightsquall” was teased – a night elf pirate who is trying to unite various pirate factions to explore “the other side of Azeroth”. Probably the previously unknown continent of “Avaloren”.
The kingdom of Stormwind has been without a king for years, as Anduin is still missing in the Shadowlands. For the human citizens, the king never returned after the kidnapping.
Kalia Menethil and Genn Greymane want to ensure that Gilneas will again belong to the humans (and worgens) of Gilneas. In an interview, Blizzard already stated that “the resettlement of Gilneas is something we would see in the game and not in [books or other media]”.
The remnants of the Scarlet Crusade want to cleanse Lordaeron of the undead and have spread propaganda material in Azeroth claiming they have a “true heir” of the Menethils who should lead the kingdom.
The night elves are about to plant a new world tree and build a new home after Darnassus was destroyed.
The Silver Hand has tried multiple times to retake Stratholme since Legion and has so far always failed.
For the dwarves, a political change is imminent. The “Council of Three Hammers” will be replaced as soon as the rightful king of Ironforge comes of age – Dagran Thaurissan II. He was last mentioned in the story regarding the wedding between Thalyssra and Lor’themar and is almost of age to ascend the throne.
Political strife is brewing among the Horde: The waters of Durotar are polluted by the oil drilling of the goblins, and water has to be completely imported from Mulgore. How will the Horde deal with this?
Blizzard and Warcraft have a pretty big anniversary coming up. Not only is the “Warcraft” franchise soon celebrating its 30th birthday, but World of Warcraft is already heading towards its 20th birthday – two events that will take place almost simultaneously in 2024. The next expansion is also a anniversary – as it would be the 10th expansion of World of Warcraft.
For Bellular, it is clear that this would be the perfect time to “go all out” with WoW, extensively work on Azeroth, allow the story to progress, and make a massive redesign of the world that puts “Cataclysm” in the shadows and avoids the mistakes of the past.
After all, around 700 people are now working on World of Warcraft, and Blizzard had increased the team by 100 people before the launch of Dragonflight. An undertaking like overhauling the entire world could certainly use many new employees.
In November of this year, a BlizzCon will again take place. It is practically confirmed that the next adventure of World of Warcraft will be announced there. But this time, it could be much more extensive than we have always imagined.

In Pokémon GO today, on May 30th, the Spotlight Hour with Houndoom begins. We will show you everything about Shinies, bonuses, and start times for the event.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, there is a Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO. For trainers, this means that for 60 minutes, a Pokémon selected by Niantic is the focus of the game. The short event is accompanied by a bonus that can affect XP, candies, or stardust. Each week, the combination of Pokémon and bonus changes.
On this Tuesday, you will encounter the Pokémon Houndoom and receive more stardust.

For 19-year-old Brazilian Matheus “Brutt” Queiroz, 2019 seemed like a dream come true. He made it into a rising professional team of Counterstrike: Global Offensive (Steam). But even before his career as an e-sports player in CS:GO really began, it ended tragically.
What caused the boy’s death? We reported on MeinMMO in July 2022 about it.
The young man moved into the gaming house of “Team Reaper” in August 2019. He was considered a highly talented AWP player.
The players of the team complained about severe headaches, constant vomiting, and loss of vision.
The players suspected that it might be due to the water or the food.
The 19-year-old switched to another team, “Imperial”, a few weeks later. They published in December 2019 that the player had suffered from headaches, decided to leave the team, and return to his family.
He died in a hospital in Rio de Janeiro.
As the site globo.com reports, the cause of death was a nonspecific infection of the central nervous system. Even after days in the clinic, no conclusive diagnosis could be made before his death.
What was the dispute? The question ultimately was who was to blame for the player’s death. The boy’s mother filed civil lawsuits against the teams of the player.
In 2022, three years after the player’s death, a Brazilian judge at a labor court decided that “Imperial” had indirectly contributed to the player’s death. The team had not made sufficient efforts to create a safe and healthy work environment. While the 19-year-old was in the gaming house, he had been hospitalized multiple times, but the doctors could not make a diagnosis.
The judge criticized the team’s behavior: The young man had been taken to the hospital by “underage teammates and their girlfriends” without a representative of the organization being present.
The athlete could neither sleep nor eat healthily in the house:
His condition could not improve. This should have been obvious to everyone.
The judge ordered the company to pay €72,000 to the family.
His team, Imperial, stated in essence: The player had only been with the team for a few days. Therefore, they could not possibly be at fault. He had only been with Imperial for 40 days, so the company could not be held responsible for his death and illness. They announced they would appeal the verdict.
How did it turn out? On May 26, the hearing took place at the appeals court. All 3 appellate judges rejected the appeal. With his move into the gaming house, Imperial had been responsible for the physical and mental well-being of the 19-year-old, which was a legal obligation of the company. They had not fulfilled this obligation.
The appeals court upheld the 2022 ruling; the company must pay €72,000 to the parents and the two brothers of the player.
As Dotesports reports, the team may still file a new appeal with the highest labor court in Brazil. However, it is considered unlikely that Imperial will take this route. Dotesports notes that since the death of the 19-year-old, Imperial has risen to become a globally recognized team in CS:GO and has participated in numerous international tournaments.
The family of the deceased e-sports player says in a statement that they feel a sense of relief after having achieved justice.

Sometimes they come back, in this specific case, the daughter of Mephisto, whom many now know as Lilith from Diablo 4. Lilith is currently the antagonist in this piece. Why it is worth watching the film The Unholy in advance of Diablo 4, you can find out here.
What is the film about? The plot follows Gerry Fenn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a washed-up journalist. He is trying to stay afloat with smaller assignments. The entire story is set in a town in New England.

Although Fenn initially shows up for another story, he experiences apparent miracles at the town’s church. He senses his second chance to revive his career as the miracles in the community increase.
This is related to the girl Alice, who, as if by ghostly hand, is no longer deaf – and not only that – she also begins to speak, although she had never done so before. She claims that the Holy Virgin Mary speaks through her. Everyone should learn about the miracles from the Holy Virgin, which soon makes the town a pilgrimage site for the faithful.
Meanwhile, Fenn befriends the girl and doubts himself and his actions. However, the thought arises in him that the voice the girl perceives might not actually be that of the Holy Virgin.
A battle of faith begins between good and evil, even bringing the church into play. Ultimately, it is about Fenn’s own peace of mind and the contest for the souls of the innocent between heaven and hell.
What does this have to do with Lilith? The film truly deals not only with a question of faith but also with personified evil. However, the question arises as to whether the miracles, despite their influence from “below”, should still be recognized as such or even protected by their followers.
Alice finds herself in conflict with the experienced miracles and her trust in Fenn – parallel to the people in Sanctuary, who are in the midst of the conflict between Lilith and the angel Inarius. Both parties represent the respective opposing forces and maintain their jointly created world of Sanctuary in this way.
After Lilith escapes her banishment, she wanders around to win souls for her cause. At the beginning of the game, she appears as, admittedly brutal, a savior in a chapel.
The question remains whether and to what extent Lilith’s machinations are indeed much worse than Inarius’s intentions in an otherwise dark world like Sanctuary. Without Lilith, the world does not seem much better either.

What is the background to the film? The film is based on a novella called Shrine
by James Herbert. Herbert himself passed away in 2013 but was considered the British counterpart to Stephen King until then. His books sold over 53 million copies (via deadline.com).
The film is a horror movie featuring supernatural occurrences. Directed by Evan Spiliotopoulos as his debut work on the big screen. The main cast includes well-known figures from film and television, such as Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Supernatural, The Walking Dead), Cricket Brown (WeCrashed), and William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption, Die Hard 2).
Although effects are sparingly used at the beginning, the visual experience gains momentum as the story progresses. With a budget of “only” 10 million dollars (via the-numbers.com), it may not create masterpieces on screen, but it impresses through solid acting.
The film is not a blockbuster, but it nevertheless maximizes its budget regarding sets and cast, even with well-known actors like Jeffrey Dean Morgan. And that is refreshing – it’s nice to see sets in real locations without a green screen.
The reviews are meanwhile mixed. According to IMDb, the film has a score of 5.1 out of 10 based on 24,977 ratings (via IMDb). Nevertheless, this film is particularly recommendable with regard to the upcoming release of Diablo 4. The depiction of the devilish as the supposed savior of the community touches on Lilith’s role in Diablo 4.
So it may come as no surprise that, despite mixed reviews, the film achieved a box office of over 31 million dollars (with a budget of 10 million dollars, mind you). Currently, this film can be streamed on Netflix or purchased through other media.
The film is not a masterpiece in some eyes. However, for the intended purpose here, it surely is. Fan-favorite Morgan shows a sense of nostalgia here and ultimately grapples with his own demons. Sometimes, that can turn out well, but it can also go badly, as Diablo parts 1 and 2 have shown.
The portrayal and transformation of an anti-hero in an otherwise corrupt world fuels my enthusiasm for this film. It is an unremarkable, even arrogant character who initially appears completely unsympathetic. I and certainly many others can identify well with an average person like Fenn in the film. Many have probably also strayed from the right path, but the question remains whether it still feels right.
I also appreciate the principle of the “wolf in sheep’s clothing”. He presents himself from his supposedly beautiful side but can also become quite unpleasant when things get tough. If you want to find out what a porcelain doll has to do with Pandora’s box, you shouldn’t miss this gem.

During Pokémon GO there was a highly anticipated event on the Pentecost weekend, from Saturday at 10 AM to Sunday at 8 PM. Players could find Crypto-Mewtwo in Crypto-Raids. It was supposed to be the biggest challenge in Pokémon GO so far. But on Pentecost Monday, some trainers were greatly disappointed.
What kind of event was it?
What were the reactions? As Dotesports reports, there was some excitement and disappointment on social media around the event. A bug prevented players from catching a Crypto-Mewtwo.
In some cases, Mewtwo’s HP remained at 1 HP and did not move an inch until the timer ran out. Players were kicked out of raids as if they had failed, having no choice but to try again.
Niantic acknowledged the problem on May 28 and recommended restarting the app. They said they received “various reports” of this kind.

In Destiny 2 , the best players in the world face off solo in PvE to defeat bosses that usually require a full team. But currently, it’s laborious, so very laborious.

Zombie fans, listen up: Level Infinite is releasing a new survival game called Undawn on Steam – and it will feature MMORPG elements and be free to play.
The hype around Dead Island 2 shows that games where we take down undead are still quite popular. Undawn has a lot to offer. The developers promise a mix of open world, crafting, survival, housing, and social interactions.
The publishers of Undawn are Level Infinite, a video game brand launched in December 2021 by the Chinese mega-corporation Tencent. Marketing, events, and esports are at the heart of Level Infinite, including partnerships with developers. This also includes Lightspeed Studios, the developer studio of Undawn.
What can you do in Undawn? In the free survival title Undawn, you explore a post-apocalyptic open world and its various locations, including the highway, villas, waterfalls, decaying city centers, junkyards, and a military base – alone or with other survivors.
The map will be 10 × 10 km in size and free of loading times.

For a long time, people complained about the “magical cat Yuumi.” But since Riot Games took away her claws, players have identified two new heroes as problems: Aphelios and Netflix star Jinx (Arcane). Many e-sports fans and even e-sports professionals hated Yuumi, demanding for years: The cat must go, ideally deleted from LoL entirely.
After the big tournament MSI 2023, there was a huge thread on reddit with 9,000 upvotes that stated: “It was really great that Yuumi couldn’t be played at MSI 2023.” The very fact that the parasitic cat was not played improved e-sports. Support players could now show what they were capable of.
Previously the game would have just been: “Put Yuumi on Zeri and then you probably win.”
These are the new problems: But now that the cat is gone, there are further issues. In the comments, it is said that the current meta feels very rigid. There are very few variations, especially in the lower part of the map.
This leads many games to resemble each other, which would detract from the joy of e-sports and MSI 2023.
It is described as a problem that almost only 2 heroes are played in the bot lane: Jinx and Aphelios. Only when the two are banned do professionals turn to heroes like Xayah or Zeri.
In fact, Jinx has a presence rate of 75% with 43 picks and 14 bans – just like Aphelios with 46 picks and 11 bans (via gol.gg).
Xayah has a presence rate of 42% with 24 picks and 8 bans.
What is the reason for this? As Dotesports describes, Jinx and Aphelios are currently “hyper-carries” in LoL. Because the current meta revolves around the ADC, the two heroes are so dominant. They statistically do their job of dealing physical damage best.
While in other roles it is about providing crowd control or other useful abilities to a team, the ADC role is purely about damage. That’s why the two heroes are so essential right now.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was released in May 2023 for the Nintendo Switch and is considered a masterpiece by many – it has a score of 95% on Metacritic. However, for journalist Jasmine Gould-Wilson from Gamesradar, the game turned out to be far too difficult. She accidentally activated the ‘Elden Ring’ mode.
This was the player’s experience: On Gamesradar the journalist writes that she was completely desperate in Zelda for 40 hours:

As I made my way through Frost Gleek, I had little more than a handful of arrows, a shield, and a rapidly diminishing will to stay alive.
What did she do wrong? The author took a creative shortcut right at the beginning of the game, walked along a footpath and saved herself the ‘Long Way’ with the glider. But that would have led her to a place that would have explained the equipment system to her.
She says she thought she was clever and had saved herself half an hour of walking and was as creative as the game wanted her to be. After all, the new Zelda encourages players aggressively to be ‘innovative and adventurous’. So she did that and took to the skies when the game said ‘Go west’, soaring over the mountains.
However, by doing so, she missed the seminar on ‘How to Upgrade My Items’ and dived straight into the fray, having to play the game for 40 hours without the intended equipment.
The author convinced herself that it would get better – once she ‘progressed a little further’. Somewhere in the main story, she would surely encounter the ‘Great Fairies’ she knew from other Zelda games. But that moment never came.
When did she notice it? Only after 40 hours did the journalist realize the reason for all her problems when she looked at a colleague’s character and recognized upgraded armor pieces there.
Then I noticed that I missed something big. I didn’t need to progress further in the game, I needed to go back.

The Hamburg studio Daedalic has been working on “The Lord of the Rings: Gollum” (PS5, Xbox, PC, Windows, PS4) since March 2019. Gollum was certainly the largest game made in Germany in the last 4 years. The hype was enormous, with international gaming sites reporting on the project for years. However, the release is now a complete disappointment. The studio hints that it may have taken on too much.

What survey are we talking about? The basic idea of Pokémon GO is that trainers go outside, explore their area, and connect with other players. Movement plays a crucial role in this, which is also rewarded in the game.
Therefore, we wanted to know how many kilometers you walk each week. Below we show you how you voted.
This is how you decided: For many players, movement in Pokémon GO is very important, not only to secure one or the other Pokémon but also to grab the weekly reward. Therefore, in our survey, we wanted to know “How many kilometers do you walk each week in Pokémon GO?“.
So far (as of 28.05.2023 at 19:00) a total of 2,048 readers have participated in our survey. This is how you voted:
What does the result mean? Based on the votes you cast, it is clear that for many, movement plays an important role. About 36 % of the participants complete 50 km or more each week. 7 % of them even walk over 100 km. Another nearly one-third, 32 % of trainers, reach between 25 and 49 km each week.
But there are obviously also a few couch potatoes in our MeinMMO community. Therefore, 4 % of you walk only 4 km or even less per week, which doesn’t even allow you to receive the first reward level of Adventure Sync. The remaining 28 % (576 participants) of you at least move within the range of 5 to 24 kilometers walked.

How do trainers achieve so much? In addition to the voting itself, some trainers have also shared with us how they manage to achieve these feats every week. GPS drift: Even though one can see from the results and comments that the majority of players indeed move relatively much, there are still one or two trainers who cheat.
Players point out that they take advantage of the GPS drift in the game. This happens when the GPS signal is poor, for example, in certain buildings, leading to issues with the proper tracking of your GPS connection.
If your game is active during this time, your avatar moves wildly back and forth on the map. Pokémon GO cannot always distinguish this from your normal movements, thus registering the kilometers you have “walked.” And that can really pay off, as trainer in the comments on MeinMMO confirm:
However, this can also lead to problems, as is repeatedly shown in social networks. Trainers keep reporting involuntary GPS drifts, which can lead to problems when catching. One trainer lost 3 shinies this way.
Phone swings: But there is another way to trick the Adventure Sync feature in Pokémon GO: phone swings. These are special gadgets in which you can secure your phone. When you activate the device, it will swing your smartphone back and forth.
This movement thus simulates the natural movement in your pocket, which is why external fitness apps like Google Fit register it as such. Since Pokémon GO accesses the data of these apps when calculating kilometers during inactive gameplay, the distance you’ve covered is credited to you in the game.

Which Pokémon? During the first spotlight hour in May, you will encounter the Alolan form of Geodude. The original Geodude comes from the first generation of games. The Alolan region is part of the seventh generation of games. It belongs to the Ground and Rock types and can evolve into Alolan Graveler and Alolan Golem.
Which bonuses are active? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of experience points.
Who is it worth for? As fighters, Geodude and Graveler are not particularly interesting for you. The final evolution, Alolan Golem, is better. For Twitch streamers, it’s not uncommon to receive gifts sent by their fans. However, larger content creators usually have a mailbox for such things. The Twitch streamer “Stormfall33″ has now received a mysterious package at her home.

After the last test of Diablo 4, there was a discussion in the community whether the game is too difficult. MeinMMO looked a little into the past and checked whether there had not been even greater challenges before.
Diablo 4 apparently attracts many newcomers and players who have not played Diablo for years. The server slam was very well received, but it led fans to discuss: is the game too hard or too easy?
Particularly the world boss Ashava was seen as a benchmark for many. In the test, he was so tough that even the head of Diablo failed against him multiple times. The community is divided:
Particularly the first faction points out that in the past, there have always been bosses in Diablo that really heated things up for the players. And that is true.
We have rummaged a bit in old forums, on Reddit, and online, as well as searched through our own memories to present you the 5 hardest bosses in Diablo (so far).

The Butcher, better known by his original name “Butcher”, is probably the best-known boss in the series after Diablo itself. This is likely due to how you first encounter him in the first part of Diablo:
In a dark dungeon full of enemies, surrounded by stone walls, you open a door and find carcasses and blood, like in a human slaughterhouse. A huge demon then greets you with his oversized cleaver and bellows: “Fresh Meat!” The Butcher is incredibly dangerous:
The demon was so popular that he even appeared in Diablo 3 and Heroes of the Storm. And in Diablo 4, you can also encounter him, but as a very nasty surprise in almost any dungeon.
Almost as nasty as the Butcher is Duriel in Diablo 2. The “Lord of Pain” is the boss of Act 2, so you encounter him relatively early. Duriel is particularly nasty because he simply rolls over you unexpectedly at your first encounter:
Like with the Butcher, you suddenly find yourself in a small arena with a huge demon lord. Duriel deals heavy damage and will certainly kill you at least once during your first playthrough, especially if you do not know him. He is still considered one of the hardest bosses today, at least if you don’t know him.
Some bosses in Diablo 2 received an Uber form during the “Pandemonium” event, including Duriel, Andariel (who becomes Lilith), and Mephisto. The Great Evil is actually the end boss of Act 3.
Uber bosses can only be found in a special version of Tristram in Diablo 2, for which you must first gather keys. The event is optional, but it brings you special rewards like one of the best items in the game.
Uber-Mephisto is so tough because he can deal the highest damage of all Uber bosses and also dispenses two types of damage: Cold and Lightning. Furthermore, he is immune to Poison and Lightning damage and has strong defensive stats. Accordingly, you need good preparation and strong gear against him.
Diablo is also present in Uber-Tristram as “Pandemonium-Diablo”, because Uber-Diablo was already in the game due to greedy players.
When it comes to Belial, opinions are somewhat divided on whether he is considered one of the easier or one of the hardest bosses in Diablo 3 – which is related to the fact that he was a significantly greater challenge at release.
The Lord of Lies is part of the end quest of Act 2 in Diablo 3 and has a unique boss fight: he himself is fixed in one position and you fight spread out in a semicircle around him. Meanwhile, the demon attacks you with various attacks, especially with poison pools.
What makes Belial so tricky are his servants. The swarms of flies that he summons were particularly too strong at Diablo 3’s release. Even at lower difficulties, they dealt heavy damage, and later they were almost instantly deadly.
Only after a patch was the fight “acceptable” for most players – and worth it. With his two phases and transformation, Belial is a visually spectacular fight.
Unlike in all previous Diablo games, there is a special Paragon mechanic in Diablo Immortal that actively makes you weaker when you face “too strong” opponents. If your Paragon is far below the level you should have, you take more damage and deal less.
The game does inform you of this, but the real effects were first noticed by players during the second major “end boss” Vitaath. Vitaath has slaughtered countless players because they participated with too low Paragon or poor resonance.
The big problem here was that reaching a higher Paragon was only possible to a limited extent and progressed always slower. There was even a real level limit that could only be exceeded after a certain time.
In addition, Vitaath could hit all enemies with multiple attacks that dealt significant damage. Weaker players died immediately. At the release of Vitaath, no one was “strong enough” from the Paragon perspective to defeat the demoness. This was also repeated with the subsequent boss, Gorgothta.
Even though the list only includes 5 opponents, we must still mention a 6th boss: Error 37. This has probably consumed the most playtime of fans at the release of Diablo 3.
At the start of the game, hardly anyone could log in, and when they did, the connection barely lasted long. Players collected their error codes partly out of despair, partly cynically. The most common among them was Error 37.
Fans are now also fearing the return of this boss for Diablo 4:
From the problem arose dozens of memes, but also a lot of anger. Only days later were the servers stable enough for players to play without issues – and even then, there was still a bit of hiccup.
Whether and which of these bosses will return in Diablo 4, we do not know – except in the case of the Butcher – yet. Because so far, it is still not even clear whether the main boss will actually be in the game:

How to enhance weapon exotics: Since the Warmind expansion for Destiny 2, many exotic weapons can be molded into a masterpiece. A masterpiece version represents an upgrade of the respective weapon, improving certain stats of the firearm or even granting the weapon additional perks.
The key to this are the appropriate masterpiece catalysts that must be found or specifically played and leveled up to ultimately unlock the coveted masterpiece version of the respective weapon.

Currently, not all 108 exotic weapons in Destiny 2 can be upgraded to a masterpiece.
