At Gamescom, Nvidia presented the updated version 3.5 of its DLSS technology. The new feature Ray Reconstruction provides increased performance in games that use ray tracing. Even 5-year-old graphics cards like the RTX 2000 series benefit from it.
The graphics card manufacturer Nvidia continuously expands the capabilities of its AI upscaling technology DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling). With the update to 3.0, only models from the current RTX 4000 series could exclusively benefit from the added features.

When does the GO Fest run? The GO Fest runs on August 26 and 27, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. You can participate from anywhere in the world, with or without a ticket.
1. Kaumalat

Why is this monster worth it? The Dragon and Ground Pokémon Kaumalat from Generation 4 is one of the monsters you should capture for GO Fest. It has a strong evolution in Knakrack, which has a high attack value.
This monster can shine as a strong Dragon Pokémon with a moveset of Dragon Tail and Outrage, as well as a Ground attacker with a moveset of Mud Shot and Earth Power in raids. Thus, it belongs to the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
In the GO Battle League, it also secures a solid 35th place with a move combination of Mud Shot, Outrage, and Earth Power in the Master League.

5. Kindwurm

Why is this monster worth it? With Kindwurm, a Dragon Pokémon from Generation 3, you secure another strong attacker. The small monster can evolve into Brutalanda, which with a moveset of Dragon Tail and Outrage is among the best Dragon attackers in Pokémon GO.
Where can you find it at GO Fest? Like Tanhel, Kindwurm will spawn on Saturday in the habitat Aquamarine Coast and on Sunday without a habitat in the wild. You can secure it without a ticket.
Is there Shiny Kindwurm? Yes, the shiny form of Kindwurm has a green body.
Why is this monster worth it? The Rock and Fairy Pokémon from Generation 6 is celebrating its global debut during the GO Fest. If you haven’t captured it before through one of the live events or research for ticket early bookers, you now finally have your chance.
Rocara impresses primarily with an enormous defense value. For this reason, it currently ranks first in the Super League with a moveset of Stone Edge, Weather Ball, and Moonblast. So, if you are looking for a strong monster for the GO Battle League, you should secure Rocara.
Where can you find it at GO Fest? On both event days, Rocara will be found in Level 2 raids. Thus, it is available for all players.
Is there Shiny Rocara? No, a shiny variant is currently not active in the game.
Why is this monster worth it? During GO Fest, the Proto form of the legendary Water Pokémon Kyogre returns to the game. Similar to Mega evolutions, the Proto form is a temporary evolution that is significantly stronger than Kyogre itself.
Kyogre in its normal form with a moveset of Waterfall and Hydro Pump is already the best Water attacker in the game. As a Proto Pokémon, it can surpass that. In the Master League, it ranks 32nd with Waterfall, Surf, and Hydro Pump.
Where can you find it at GO Fest? Proto-Kyogre will return to Proto-raids on Wednesday, August 23, and will dominate these until Sunday at 11:00 AM local time. After that, it will disappear indefinitely again. However, it is available to all players during this time.
Is there Shiny Kyogre? Yes, with some luck, you may encounter a purple specimen after the raid.
Why is this monster worth it? Alongside Proto-Kyogre, its counterpart Proto-Groudon will also return to the game. This legendary Ground Pokémon can score as one of the best Ground attackers in Pokémon GO with a moveset of Mud Shot and Precipice Blades. In its Proto form, it is even stronger and thus finally becomes the best attacker of its type.

Why is this monster worth it? Another global debut during GO Fest is the Mega evolution of the legendary Dragon and Flying Pokémon Rayquaza. In its normal form, it already has a high attack value and a strong moveset of Dragon Tail and Outrage, making it the best Dragon attacker in the game.

Coop in Elden Ring – roam together through the open world
This is how the coop mode works: Players are “summoned” into your game world. This is done through certain symbols that others can place on the ground in their world.
These symbols then become visible in your game world. This way, you can explore dungeons and the open game world together in Elden Ring. However, you will need several items that you find early in the game:
The “small golden statue”: This allows you to place a golden symbol in the game world. It then appears to random players at the same spot, and they can summon you.

The first really annoying and “game-breaking” bug we encountered was already in Act 2. Early on, the goal is to obtain a moon lantern to avoid being affected by the mysterious shadow curse. Due to the story decisions made, we can only get such a lantern by ambushing an enemy escort and taking the moon lantern from their leader.
That’s exactly what we do. We win the battle, loot the lantern, and all the NPCs congratulate us on this heroic achievement.
There’s just one problem: Instead of getting the working moon lantern in our inventory, we receive 2 broken lanterns instead – the working one is simply gone.
At that point, the game was no longer playable. We could not advance the story, as there was no way to obtain another such lantern. So we had to load an old save and repeat everything – only to be disappointed again.
Only after we made some different decisions on the fourth attempt did we finally get the coveted lantern. The constant “reloading and trying again” had thrown us quite out of immersion – especially since we now had to make an atypical decision to proceed.

But that is quite easy, as our companion simply stands around apathetically, neither intervening in the fight nor being attackable.
Worse yet: after winning the battle, he continues to stand frozen, no longer speaks to us, and does not return to the camp. A quest has simply ended “in nothing” – this is ultra-frustrating because it was also a very important character.
Dialogue bugs lead to a break in immersion
But even the “smaller” bugs are increasing towards the end. Especially in the dialogue system, which is so crucial for shaping the “own story,” there are devastating errors.
It is very often the case that as a possible dialogue response, you only see “1. Continue”, even though you actually have 3–7 different response options. The other player can also see all responses while listening – but the currently active player can only select “Continue”, which ultimately results in the selection of “response 1” – no matter which it may be. This has caused us to betray several characters to whom we had actually sworn loyalty – simply because the currently active player can only give the 1st response.
If a devil or an incubus is asking me what exactly he can do for me or what deal I want to make, and I am forced to choose “response 1” because no other options are displayed to me, then that makes me really dissatisfied.
Definitely not the scene where you want to have the “Continue” error and only have one response.
The other extreme is that we suddenly have dialogue options that we cannot explain at all. Our characters suddenly become super Sherlocks, revealing a villain’s nefarious deeds in great detail because we supposedly talked to someone or read some book – even though we are quite sure that neither was the case.
To this, add a few “report to XYZ” quests that simply do not count as completed and now clutter the quest log, even though we have clearly completed the missions.
More bugs if you are evil
Even in my second save, where I play a much more evil character and – as much as possible – ingratiate myself with the Cult of the Absolute, errors occur. This “evil” run has been incredibly cool so far and has many scenes that I never had during my first playthrough, but at the same time, choosing evil options has significantly increased the density of errors and inconsistencies.
Example: I joined Minthara and her goblins and attacked the Emerald Grove. The goblins then come into my camp, we throw a wild party and worship the Absolute while Minthara – well – claims my body for herself. So far, so cool.
The next morning, however, my quest log for “Find a Cure” changes – I can no longer talk to the goblin priestess because I am supposedly branded as an “enemy of the Absolute”. But I was not.
My tiefling is playing a lyre. You can’t see it because it’s bugged.
My personal annoying bug is Lae’zel. The (already annoying) companion wanted to secretly attack me one night, and instead of de-escalating like during the first playthrough, I thought: “Yeah, then I’ll just kill you. You’re just a pain in my ass.”
And that’s exactly what I did. Unfortunately, she didn’t care.
Now Lae’zel, even though she is supposedly murdered according to the quest log, continues to stand as a “yellow” NPC in the camp or follows me around. She is no longer attackable, and although she should have exited the story, she still makes stupid comments during camp conversations.
Only when a scene between Shadowheart and Lae’zel plays out a few nights later does she finally die for real. Thank you, Shadowheart. I may not like you either, but you did me a favor.
Waiting is worth it because the bugs are really annoying
I am sure these errors will be fixed in the coming weeks and months. And I also see that a game with so many interconnections and entanglements can have a few minor bugs at launch – but especially towards the end, the bugs are really annoying. This is not “complaining at a high level”, but errors that massively spoil the fun and immersion of the game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 remains an extremely good game, but some errors do significantly spoil the fun. It is a pity that the last act has so many bugs, as they constantly pull us out of the otherwise cool story.

You will find this sword in the absolute southernmost part of the between-land, in Castle Morne on the Peninsula of Tears. The boss residing there drops the sword for you.
3. Executioner’s Sword of the Marais
You receive this sword when you defeat the boss Elemer of the Thorns in the Shadow Castle. The dangerous castle is located in the north of the Altus Plateau. You might already know it if you have successfully completed Millicent’s Quests.
4. Ruin Greatsword
This legendary weapon is also a great sword but clearly stands out in appearance from most weapons. You get it in Castle Redmane, during a boss fight against 2 unpopular opponents. The battle ground is the place where you meet your allies before the festival against Radahn.
If you do not see a yellow fog wall to start this boss fight, make sure that you have defeated Radahn and exhausted the dialogues with Witch Hunter Jerren, who is sitting further north in Castle Redmane on a chair.
5. Dark Moon Greatsword
Once again a great sword appears, but this one has rightfully earned the designation “legendary”.
You will find the Dark Moon Greatsword in Liurnia, below the Cathedral of Manus Celes. However, getting there is not so easy – the sword is the reward for the extensive quest from Ranni. We will tell you how to complete this:
If you have already been in the capital Leyndell, you have probably noticed a large dragon corpse with an oversized spear. A small version of that very spear can be found right on its large relative.
But be careful: If you progress too far in the story, you will miss the weapon for this playthrough. So do not defeat Maliketh before you have definitely obtained the weapon.
To obtain this powerful spear, you must start at the Earth Tree’s refuge. Directly opposite the actual exit, where you go over a root to a balcony, is a staircase. Follow it down to an elevator and follow the path until you see an opportunity to jump onto the oversized spear. On it, you will find the Bolt of Gransax.
7. Devouring Scepter
The Devouring Scepter can be found in the endgame region of Crumbling Farum Azula, which you automatically reach after the Forge of Giants.
For this, you need to go to the grace spot “At the Great Bridge.” Instead of walking to the region boss, you turn in the opposite direction and reach a bridge leading to a tower through an entrance. There, you will have an unfriendly visit from an NPC intruder. Survive this invasion and kill the opponent, and this weapon belongs to you.
8. Shotel of the Eclipse
The legendary curved sword, which was used for a nasty exploit before a patch for a nasty exploit, can be found in Castle Sol. You will find this in the northwestern part of the Giant’s Peak.
The weapon is prominently placed on an altar in the Church of Darkness, right next to the eponymous grace spot.
9. Greatsword of the Golden Order
The last sword on this list can be found in the Sacred Snowfield. To enter this, you need 2 secret medallion halves with which you can enter this region via the Great Elevator of Rold.
Here are the locations of the medallion halves:
Right half: You can find it in the village of the Albinaurics, south of Liurnia, at the hidden NPC Albus.
Left half: On the roof of Castle Sol, north of the Giant’s Peak.
If you follow the frozen river in the middle of the region to the east, you will first see a large crab, then giant octopuses on a rock, and you will fight against a magma lindworm at the end. Orient yourself between the octopuses and the fire-breathing dragon towards the north. Another octopus stands before a misty milk wall that you must open with 2 stone sword keys.
This way, you will enter the cave of the Lost. A well-known boss with a new weapon awaits you at the end. If you successfully defeat him, the last legendary weapon also belongs to you.
What you need to do if you have all legendary weapons but do not receive the achievement or trophy
I also had the problem that I found all 9 legendary weapons, but did not receive the Steam achievement. What helped me was dropping one legendary weapon after another in the inventory and picking it up from the ground again. Here’s how it works:
Open your inventory in the pause menu.
Navigate to the weapon menu using the shoulder button.
Look for a legendary weapon and press A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation).
Click on Drop (NOT on Discard!).
Confirm your choice and exit the pause menu.
Pick the weapon up again from the ground.
These steps can help you get the achievement.
Do this with each legendary weapon individually until you get the achievement. However, do not drop all 9 weapons at the same time – there are reports from players online whose weapons disappeared that way.
Apparently, especially the weapons you obtained before patch 1.03 are problem sources. That was also the case for me, but I can’t confirm that with absolute certainty.

With the Opening Night Live, the official kick-off of gamescom 2023 took place, showcasing more than 45 trailers: including 8 minutes of the campaign from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. MeinMMO editor Maik thinks that the large audience could have been used for a real highlight.
What was shown at the ONL? As expected, viewers were treated to a fireworks display of trailers of the highest class. The event lasted 2.5 hours including a pre-show and featured more than 45 trailers. Here you can find a list of all the games shown.
Among them was Modern Warfare 3. 8 minutes of the first campaign mission were shown. Taskforce 141 infiltrates a fortress in the dark and heavy rain, reminiscent of the Gulag on the original Warzone map Verdansk. The hint of nostalgia has caused a pulse, I admit it.
But ultimately, the presentation is too reminiscent of the campaign trailer from 2022 – a lot of water, action, and darkness (via youtube.com). CoD should have used the ONL and the broad audience to present the probably best innovation of the campaign: Open Combat Missions.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 World Premiere First Level Trailer – Opening Night Live 2023
What are Open Combat Missions? Call of Duty has been the epitome of corridor levels for years. Large areas sometimes concealed that, but mostly it was from A to B, and along the way, you had to complete C. Sometimes D was a scripted surprise.
In CoD MW3, Open Combat Missions are supposed to break the mold. Well, about half of the missions should run in Modern Warfare 3 according to this pattern and offer a kind of sandbox where you decide how you want to proceed. Nothing new in the shooter genre, but for a CoD campaign, it is.
Creative Director David Swenson explained during the ONL: “You can go quietly, equip silenced weapons, and achieve all objectives without the enemy noticing that you are there. […] if you want to go loud, you can equip armor plates and attack the enemy head-on. [Open] Combat Missions will support that.”

Can this be played in coop?
Depending on how open the missions actually are, this could be a lot of fun. However, it requires good NPCs and the right commands to implement something like this in a fun and comprehensive way. I am skeptical about that.
I also had to think about CoD MW2 (2009). There were coop missions with a worldwide leaderboard. Some of these missions had different solutions that were not obvious. Once, my friend and I made it to 6th place on the leaderboard because we had found such a path.
That was a real grind festival, as every millisecond made a big difference. If the Open Combat Missions are inspired by that and offer multiplayer, I see a lot of potential for replayability.
If they are just normal missions that offer two or three obvious solutions in a larger area, later used as a battle map for the big multiplayer modes, nothing will change.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 relies on a proven successful concept: nostalgia. Thus, the shooter will launch with 16 maps in multiplayer – all from Modern Warfare 2 of 2009.
For my part, it could be a little more nostalgia. The Open Combat Missions as a time trial with multiplayer would be such a measure. But please leave the “Noob Tubes” in the drawer.

Who would even buy such a thing? The gaming PC is not surprisingly aimed at gamers who play two rounds of Call of Duty in the evening or prefer to play Minecraft.
Instead, the “Big Boss” is aimed at people who need a high-end PC for tasks such as video rendering or machine learning. And in the professional sector, around 30,000 euros for a gaming PC is not as expensive as it might sound.

Paladin accidentally kills innocent with healing potion
This went wrong: In Act 1, our brave hero entered a cave beneath the Druid’s Grove and fought some goblins there, whom he defeated.
On the ground lay an unconscious dwarf with one hit point. The noble knight had no healing spells left, so he aimed to throw a healing potion at the dwarf’s body.
