Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League introduces Harley Quinn in a short trailer. The former therapist proves that she is quite crazy but very helpful to the group. Players are already celebrating her as a great character.
What is it about? Harley Quinn will be one of the playable characters in the upcoming action-adventure in the DC universe.
In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, you take on the role of the “villains” Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang, tasked with killing the Justice League. They are under the control of the alien villain Brainiac, making them a significant threat to all of humanity.
The game is set to be released on January 30, 2024, for PC, PS5, and Xbox.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Harley Quinn Trailer
What does the trailer show? The trailer begins with a brief introduction to Harley Quinn’s character. She is described as a crazy woman who takes nothing seriously but will be helpful for the mission.
As shown, Harley Quinn can hit hard, shoot very well, and is incredibly agile and quick. Additionally, she has now also grabbed Batman’s technology, making her quite dangerous to her enemies.
While you learn quite a bit about the Joker’s ex-girlfriend, it is all accompanied by some gameplay snippets. In these, she moves swiftly and skillfully through the enemies and strikes hard with her baseball bat.
It seems that Harley Quinn has quickly adapted to the new technology from the popular bat-hero. In the gameplay scenes, you can see her swinging around with his grappling hook and taking out enemies mid-air with various firearms.
How are the reactions? While some players look cautiously at the upcoming game in the DC universe, they seem particularly excited about the character Harley Quinn. This is evident from the reactions in their comments (via YouTube):
allenwarfield writes: ‘She is the reason I’m getting this game.’
danny14cyberkillr36 writes: ‘Harley Quinn with a baseball bat and pistol against the Justice League seems legit.’
ramavetos writes: ‘Can I play the entire story just as Harley?’
Even though the reactions to the character Harley Quinn are quite positive, there are still some voices expressing negativity about the gameplay. This has already disappointed many players in previous videos and raises concerns among many about receiving a flop.
What do you think of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the information available so far? How do you like Harley Quinn as a character? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments.

Netflix announced the cancellation of the popular fantasy series Shadow and Bone – Legends of the Grisha. There will be no third season and the planned spin-off will also not happen. Fans of the book adaptation reacted disappointed and angry to the news.
Shadow and Bone is set in a world torn by war and threatened by a sinister shadowfold. One day, soldier Alina Starkov discovers that she has extraordinary powers. Now she is supposed to save her homeland.
There are a total of 2 seasons of the series. That is how it will stay: Because Netflix announces that there will be no third season and is canceling the spin-off of the series.
Here you can see a trailer for the fantasy series:

Trailer for the Netflix series ‘Shadow and Bone’ Season 1
“Can’t wait to find a new series that gets canceled after 1 or 2 seasons“
What kind of spin-off was planned? A series about Kaz Brekker and the Dreg gang from Ketterdam was supposed to emerge from Six of Crows. The scripts for the project had already been prepared. Nevertheless, the series Six of Crows will no longer be filmed.
How is the community reacting? Many fans are reacting with anger, disappointment, and sadness to the cancellation of Shadow and Bone.
Some express their disbelief that such a popular series is not getting a third season. Others react a little surprised, as in their opinion, the good series on the platform are always canceled. They accuse Netflix of only continuing the most profitable and cheapest productions.
However, the fans have not completely given up hope. Some now want to sway the streaming provider through petitions or hope that another provider might take over the series.
Here we have collected some reactions to the series cancellation:
archangel610 via reddit: “It has come to the point where I can no longer get excited about new Netflix shows.”
giovannanascimento98 via Instagram: “I can’t say I’m surprised. Netflix can’t recognize a fantastic series even when it hits them in the face. I hope another streaming service or network picks up these projects.”
michelleeb via X.com: “But why? The series was popular, people loved it, there were rumors about spin-offs, we were all looking forward to the next series! Is this yet again a tax/salary issue? Maybe all these creatives should add Netflix to WB as ‘people we can’t work with because they cancel our work.'”
Bons_On_Ice via X.com: “Netflix disappoints time and again. I can’t wait to find another new series that gets canceled after 1 or 2 seasons because they’re too stingy to pay their talents and staff what they’re worth. Then they try to shift the blame, even though it’s only their greed and lack of vision that’s to blame.”
Why is Shadow and Bone being canceled? According to Deadline, the cost and profit ratio is not the only reason for the end of the series.
Additionally, due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, some productions have come to a standstill for a long time and no longer fit into the release plans that had been intended. This may have also contributed to the cancellation.
In addition to Shadow and Bone, Netflix is also canceling the following series:
On Sunday, November 19, the South Korean team T1 became World Champion in League of Legends. The players now have the honor of deciding which champions will receive special skins in LoL for Worlds 2023. Which champions did Faker, Keria, and the others choose?
The World Champion in LoL gets to choose which champion will receive a new skin for Worlds 2023.
This is always a big deal – fans of a champion hope for new skins ‘for their hero.’ The players choose champions they are known for or find particularly cool.

2 players from T1 clearly decided on skins, 3 are still wavering
The players choose the following skins: Right after the match, there was a press conference where the players mentioned their favorites for new skins:
The top laner Zeus says he wants either Jayce or Yone as a skin. In a game with Jayce, Zeus was known for his incredible precision.
It is assumed that Zeus will receive a “Prestige Skin” for the champion of his choice because he was the MVP of the 2023 finals. In 2022, the MVP of the finals, Kingen from DRX, also received this honor. Since then, he has had his own Prestige Skin for Aatrox.
Every shot from Zeus on Jayce was a hit and caused cheers from the audience:

The jungler Oner clearly chooses Lee Sin. This is his ‘signature champ,’ with which he also shone in the finals.
Star player Faker takes his time and says he hasn’t thought about it much. He wants to base his decision on what the majority of his fans want. Faker plans to think more about which champion he will choose now. It sounds like he is preparing a vote on social media.
Favorites for a Faker skin would likely be Azir and Ahri. Although he also shone on Akali in the finals.
That was the play by Faker on Azir that became so legendary and probably decided the championship:

The supporter Keira would first be guessed to be Bard, with whom he shone in important matches. And Keria is indeed considering Bard, but it could also be Renata Glasc. Keria said he actually wished for Lux, but he didn’t play that at Worlds.
Jinx has gained enormous popularity since Arcane.
“Take a woman, she sells better”
This is the discussion: The most discussed topic on reddit is Faker’s skin choice. He played Ahri in the finals, sparking debates about whether Faker only played the champ to get the skin and how much he supposedly confused his opponent Xiaohu with the unusual champ choice, who had now to adjust to a champ he didn’t expect.
The statement that Faker hasn’t thought about which champ he will choose is generally regarded as a very weak excuse.
Most people seem to hope that Keria will choose Bard – he impressed with this somewhat unusual champion.
There is also a bit of joking speculation about whether Gumayusi chose Jinx to make money. Players receive a portion of the revenue from their skins, and Jinx is popular due to Arcane. One quotes the “Gacha God BeryL”: Take a woman, she sells better.
Many hope for the “Azir” skin from Faker, with which he achieved such a great play.
In the trailer for Season 3 of the survival show 7 vs. Wild, Twitch streamer Papaplatte was seen in an apparently desperate situation: The image of the 26-year-old with a floppy hat and a distorted expression went viral. In the new episode 7, which has been available on Freevee since Tuesday, November 21, the series clarifies what led to this seemingly distressing situation.
This was the image from the trailer:
In the trailer for Season 3 of 7 vs. Wild, which was released about 2 weeks ago, only excerpts from the episodes were shown. However, the context was missing.
One image from the trailer stood out the most: It was the desperate expression on Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller’s face. He participates in 7 vs. Wild alongside his podcast partner Dominik “Reeze” Reezmann (30).
In the current episode 7, viewers now saw the situation that led to this expression.
He is the other Twitch streamer participating in 7 vs. Wild: Knossi:

Spot in the inland is safe, but there is nothing to eat
This is the situation of Papaplatte’s team: Episode 7 takes place on day 3 after the drop-off.
The two Twitch streamers had sought a spot inland at the beginning of the series, far from the beach. Reeze and Papaplatte had hoped to stumble upon a body of water where they could fish. However, attempts to venture deeper inland and find a lake were unfruitful and cost them a lot of energy.
Papaplatte later regrets the choice of spot: He had imagined all possible scenarios and had occupied himself with them before the show. He feared that he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night because of wild animals – but it turned out quite differently. He sleeps well, you don’t hear any animals at the spot, but other problems now plague him.
For although the spot is safe for their camp, provides drinking water, and they could delight in Maggi bouillon cubes, the two streamers are still lacking a source of food on day 3. They embark on the arduous journey to the distant sea to fish there. The march to the sea through rough terrain exhausts them; the two streamers have not eaten anything for days: They are physically and mentally exhausted.
These ideas plague Papaplatte: On the way to the sea, they discuss their situation:
The way to the sea is far too long, even on day 3 it is hardly possible to cover that distance, and in the coming days, with even less energy, they face bleak prospects. Twitch streamer Papaplatte says his pulse races as if only 3 people are left in the battle royale.
They must absolutely fish for something to eat now, otherwise they won’t make it through the days.
Papaplatte says he absolutely wants to survive at least day 7, but is already on edge by day 3.
That’s why Papaplatte looks so sad in that moment: When they finally arrive at the sea and see the high waves, they realize that with their equipment they have little chance of fishing. The image in which Papaplatte looks so desperate is the moment when fatigue and sadness overwhelm him. He then sits on a rock and says he wants to hold on, but the odds are against him.
He then wonders about himself: It is day 3 and he is already crying.
Reeze looks more relaxed in the situation, but he is troubled by hunger even more than Papaplatte.
The expression on his face is therefore more a result of the overall situation: It seems to become clear to him in that moment how difficult the situation is and how powerless he is. He recognizes the possibility of perhaps failing.
His despair is therefore not a result of a particularly dramatic experience. At that moment, Papaplatte seems simply to lack the perspective on how he is supposed to endure this for another 11 days when he is already so physically and mentally exhausted.
Their part of the episode ends with them setting up a gill net in the sea. Whether they catch anything or not remains open – but the odds seem to be against them. And hunger plagues them.
The online shooter Destiny 2 is currently in a crisis, with player numbers dwindling. But such a crisis already occurred in 2016: back then, the long-time head of Bungie, Harold Ryan, had to leave. He founded a new studio with former Bungie employees. They promised great AAA games. What is the status of the studio “Probably Monsters” in 2023, and can we expect an alternative to Destiny 2 from this direction?
After 16 years as CEO, Harold Ryan had to leave Bungie and founded a new company, “Probably Monsters”, right in Seattle: many former Destiny employees switched to him. The name came from the fact that employees of the company could respond to the question of what they were working on with “Probably working on monsters”.
The idea of the company was to provide a “roof” that would manage organization and management while teams would work on large AAA games under their own “creative leads”. At that time, it was considered a strong idea; apparently, Ryan had just been “damaged by Activision Blizzard” and wanted to offer creative people a better environment.
Those were the days, Destiny 1:

Destiny – Become Legend Official Trailer
This is how the new company was set up: Probably Monsters focused on three teams:
The Cauldron team was working on a “single-player, adventure-driven game” that was supposed to develop with and around players. The team consisted of former developers from Destiny and God of War. However, this project seems to have already been discontinued.
The Battle Barge team was formed by former employees of Borderlands and Torchlight. They are developing an open-world co-op RPG.
The Firewalk team was supposed to develop AAA multiplayer games.

Lots of money from investors and new employees came
This was the highlight so far: Besides the sale of Firewalk in 2023, the company “Probably Monsters” also had further successes to report in 2021 and 2022:
In a funding round in 2021, the studio raised 200 million US dollars from various investors (via Forbes).
A financial report stated that they had set a minimum salary of $77,000 and were heavily focused on remote work. It was said that the company had grown by 65% in 2022 (via businesswire).
2023 was a year of setbacks
What setbacks have occurred so far? In June 2023, it was announced that the debut project of the “Cauldron” team had to be canceled. Apparently, they saw too much competition in the market for the single-player game (via geekwire).
It was said that they wanted to retain the team, but a few months later, in September 2023, the news came that Probably Monsters had laid off some employees (via geekwire). The exact number of laid-off employees is unknown; a request by GeekWire for a statement on the layoffs was declined.
It can be assumed that the layoffs mainly affected the Cauldron team, including the former Destiny employees.
Is a Destiny alternative coming from Harold Ryan? It does not seem so; Probably Monsters is not developing anything in the direction of Destiny. What might have been the closest alternative to Destiny, the FPS shooter Concord, has been sold to Sony, along with Firewalk.
The project of the Destiny developers apparently suffered a setback and was canceled.
The game that the former employees of Borderlands and Torchlight are building sounds like a completely different game.
Anyone who hoped that the former Destiny employees would soon deliver an alternative to the struggling multiplayer shooter will likely be disappointed. Even after so many years, there seems to be no real alternative on the horizon. Ubisoft has announced The Division 3, but that is still a long way off.
While Probably Monsters has apparently collected a lot of money and employees in the last 7 years, they have not revealed anything truly noteworthy so far. The development of such large projects takes a long time, and they have apparently spent many years initially working on structures and project ideas.
On Black Friday, thousands of vendors entice with tempting offers. They use tricks to persuade people to make a purchase.
Around Black Friday or Cyber Week, most people are looking for deals. Everything looks tempting, and you want to buy something to benefit from the offers.
But behind the desire to “want to buy” lies a sophisticated method known as the “scarcity principle.”
The Scarcity Principle Encourages People to Buy
Most of you are likely familiar with the deals that aggressively advertise themselves as being particularly limited, rare, or almost sold out. Amazon particularly likes to use such systems:
Lightning deals are only available in limited quantities and a bar shows how many percent have already been sold.
For some products, it ominously states, “Only 3 pieces available.”
Additionally, there are constant emails or messages indicating that the deals are almost over and you must check them out.
In such urgency, many feel convinced to reach for a product. After all, they are told from everywhere that it must be rare or almost gone.
What is behind it? Peter Kenning, head of the Business Administration chair at the University of Düsseldorf and a professor with a focus on marketing, explains in the online magazine Impulse that behind such scarce offers lies the scarcity principle. Because “the scarcer a product, the more attractive customers perceive it to be.” But if there are suddenly significantly fewer, then “the product that is unavailable or particularly scarce becomes more desirable.”
This appeals to people’s emotions: People fear missing out and buy the items. After all, limited items are always more sought after than those that are readily available. The effectiveness of this principle can be seen in teleshopping, where one can watch how the provider’s stock depletes.
The hype around scarce items is something some may still remember from the PS5 shortage a year ago. Scalpers snatched thousands of consoles and sold them at high prices. Meanwhile, scalpers are left with the PS5 consoles.
What are the limits of this trick? Such scarcities also have limits, as NDR explains:
For example, Zalando was warned for advertising having only one pair of shoes in stock. However, one could add and purchase any number of pairs in the shop.
Booking.com was sued for misleading customers because the portal claimed it only had one room left available. The room was still easily accessible through other sites.
Such actions are, as NDR explains, misleading to consumers.
What is the second problem? Often a second issue arises. Many people, when they are already in a buying frenzy, toss in a few items in the shopping cart that are not on sale, but that they wanted to buy or try out anyway.
Quickly, one ends up buying things one didn’t even want. Often referred to as full-price items that are not reduced.
Beware of the following products: There are quite a number of items you should not buy on Black Friday. Because you can get them later much cheaper. Which ones they are, you can read directly with us on MeinMMO:
Editor-in-Chief Leya has always been a bookworm until she ran out of time to read. However, since she got the Kindle, she has devoured a few books again.
As my older sister is as clever as a fox, she taught me how to read early on. I was not even five years old when she was already going to elementary school.
Even today, I see us both snuggled up on her bed, in front of us a book about teddy bears. Letter by letter, we struggle through until I can read all the words on my own. From then on, she regularly had me read her books aloud.
Since then, I have been addicted to books. I loved reading to my sister from them. Even today, I feel a joyful tingling in my neck when I hear the special crackling of a book when it is opened for the first time.
I read everything I could get my hands on. I especially loved rummaging through my mother’s treasure, which consisted of old legends and fairy tales. I quickly fell in love with fantasy and science fiction, devouring the entire Discworld by Terry Pratchett in one go. I must have been around 14 years old.
I read, read, read. Until I stopped.
About my reading fatigue
At some point in my twenties, the relentless reading diminished.
I bought books less frequently, and in my free time, other things took priority. Then I started studying, and there was already so much to read.
What I read during my studies was much drier and did not inspire my imagination. Still: As much as I tried, the otherwise beautiful act of opening a new book suddenly felt like a burden. I rarely managed to finish a book.
This was surely also due to the fact that I had read so much and accumulated experiences with stories that many books suddenly left me cold. Little surprised me anymore. Especially in fantasy, almost everything today seems formulaic.
When I started working at MeinMMO as a freelance author in 2017, I even read more for work. Just not books, but forums, discussions, articles about games. Since I’ve been in the editorial department, reading for work has increased even more because I now edit more, research broader, read specialist articles, and read everything across our site.
This makes me sad because I love stories and the inspiration they give me in life – including the escapism.
In my early thirties, I had almost given up reading as a hobby.
That changed with a gift. In 2020, my siblings and I gave my mother a Kindle for Christmas, which she had been eyeing for some time. Over the holidays, I had time to try out her new Kindle for myself, and lo and behold: Suddenly, I was no longer tired of reading a book for a long stretch!
During the next sale, I put a Kindle Paperwhite in my shopping cart and now own one myself.
There are different models of Kindle, some of which are cheaper than the Paperwhite. The regular price is 189.99 euros. However, the Paperwhite has a 300 ppi display without glare effects, simulating real paper and making it easier on the eyes. It also has a battery life of up to 10 weeks, and it was important to me not to have to charge it constantly.
Since then, I manage to read a book every month again.
Oops, unfortunately this affiliate widget is no longer available.
Why do I read more with the e-reader again? I explain it to myself that over the last 10 years, I have gotten used to digital reading because I consume almost everything digitally now.
Instead of reading a book, I would take my phone in hand at night and read various forums or articles there. With the Kindle in hand, I have a similar feeling to holding my phone. The transition from the phone to the e-reader was much easier for me than reaching directly for a book.
I also enjoy the lightness. If I want to read a tome of over 800 pages, my arm does not get heavy with the Kindle. Reading in bed at night is much more comfortable.
Even with a cover, the Kindle is very compact, weighing almost 150 grams.
As a gamer, I have a penchant for gamification, so I’m also motivated by the fact that the Kindle shows at the bottom how much percentage of the book is left to read until the end. This is similar to a book where you can flip through to see progress. But the percentages hit me differently.
When I read English books, a dictionary is integrated. This prevents me from reaching for my phone to look up the translation of a word when I don’t know it. Then I get distracted again by my phone and end up scrolling through TikTok, Instagram, or Twitter.
A bonus for me is that I save a lot of space by having everything digitally. Currently, I live in a one-room apartment in Munich, where I already have to play Tetris to fit my belongings.
Why the Kindle and no other e-reader? It’s simply because I am already deeply invested in the Amazon ecosystem. I have been a Prime customer for over 10 years and have several advantages within this ecosystem, such as credits for Audible to also use audiobooks. The audiobooks can also be played directly on the Kindle.
It was easy for me to link my customer account with the Kindle.
Another e-reader was never an option for me.
Here, everyone has to research for themselves what suits their individual needs. There are, for example, e-readers that allow you to browse the internet as well. That would have been an absolute no-go for me because that risks only surfing the internet again.
Here are two alternatives to the Kindle for you that might better suit your needs:
PocketBook: Performs well in many tests and has the so-called “Color” models that can display colors. This makes the e-readers particularly suitable for comics, which is a weakness for the Kindle.
Tolino: Considered the biggest competitor to the Kindle and offers cheaper models than the Kindle’s regular price.
The fact that I read more again is mainly due to the e-reader itself and not the Kindle. The Kindle is simply the most convenient for me.
I have to say that I am very satisfied with the quality of the Paperwhite model. I can read on the Kindle super well without the need for additional light, without straining my eyes. However, I lack the comparison to other products.
In case of doubt, do what I did and borrow an e-reader from someone and see if it has any effect on you.
Do I sometimes miss books? Not really. I found a good solution for myself to still enjoy the magical moment of opening a book!
In recent years, I have started reading more graphic novels. They are a nightmare on the Kindle! So if you mainly read comics or mangas, I would strongly advise against the Kindle. It’s not a pleasant reading experience because the artworks are hard to see, and the speech bubbles are very difficult to read.
I really enjoy holding a coffee table book, where I can examine the artworks sharply and large.
Otherwise, I don’t want to miss my Kindle anymore and am gradually turning back into a bookworm.
Have you had similar experiences with reading? To all you bookworms out there: I would be very happy to receive some reading tips in the comments!
This is the Master Ball study: It is a long-term, limited research project. It started with the launch of the current season “Plenty of Adventures” and ends today, November 21, 2023, at 8:00 PM.
This leaves only a few hours to claim the bonuses and therefore also the coveted second Master Ball. Anyone who doesn’t make it by 8:00 PM will lose the chance for the free Master Ball and likely also any other task progress.
For some trainers, the end may come too soon. On social media, such as in the Subreddit “TheSilphRoad” for Pokémon GO, trainers are currently discussing the end of the study. The statements range from “I think I can make it today” to “Is it still feasible today?” to trainers who simply cannot make it anymore. Others, however, have already solved the study.
Overall, the study was also not easy to solve. It required a lot of time from a player. And especially the task of 60 raids poses a significant challenge for many trainers.
We want to know from you: Did you complete the Master Ball study? Take part in the survey as soon as you can see how the study ends for you:
And how do you get the second Master Ball without the study?
Master Ball task comes to the shop
Here’s how to get the Master Ball: In the announcement for the new “Party Up” event in Pokémon GO, it is also mentioned that all players who have not completed the study will be able to purchase a Master Ball research in the shop.
This will then bring a Master Ball as a reward, but it will cost money, unlike the previous study. There will also be tasks to complete before the ball goes into the item bag.

In EA FC 24 hackers have also seized the next popular mode after Ultimate Team with clubs. Thus, it is currently impossible for even the best teams to reach the top spots on the global leaderboard with their club. We clarify what the renewed hacking attack is all about.
What’s it about? Ambitious club players may have noticed in recent days that the first 15 places on the leaderboard are led by quite similarly sounding club names. They all start with the words “WeWinYou …”, which already raises a first suspicion of a hacking attack.
Looking at the statistics of these teams confirms the initial suspicion. These first 15 teams have an absurdly high skill rating, which seems to be mainly due to their bizarre goal-scoring rate.
1st Place in Clubs Leaderboard Scores 31,000 Goals in One Game
How Are The High Skill Ratings Achieved? One reason for the high skill rating could be the extremely high number of goals scored. The first place is held by a club that supposedly scored over 30,000 goals in one game. We certainly don’t need to explain in detail that this is an impossible number.
The subsequent places show a similar goal rate and corresponding skill ratings. The curious thing is that these clubs are usually in the lowest division and have played hardly more than one game.
That the statistics cannot have come about normally is also shown by the comparison values of the other teams. In 16th place on the leaderboard, the first team with a skill rating of 3364 points follows, whose numbers look normal. The clubs team “Scoregahzmic” has already recorded 692 wins with 6 draws and 20 losses. In addition, they have scored over 4000 goals in more than 700 games, which means a strong average of more than 5 goals per game.
And despite these impressive numbers, this and other teams cannot come close to the first 15 places. That this must be frustrating not only for the affected club players is also shown by a subreddit.
One of the top comments makes the following observation: “It’s just sad what people do for a simple video game.” He then raises the question: “Can you imagine how you can have no life to this extent?” only to answer it himself: “I can’t imagine it.” (via reddit.com)
User “HarryPotHead420blaze” writes: “It’s absolutely crazy that EA lacks the most basic logic to recognize the crazy numbers that these frauds produce and to ban them.”

Warning Spoiler: From here on, we will go into more detail. Spoilers follow until the end of Act 2.
The hint appears in Act 2 at the Temple of Shar. At the end of their challenges, you stand with your group by a pool. As soon as you try to dive into the water and look for the Night Song, the game shows you the hint above.
How does the decision affect your game? If you choose Yes and enter the pool, you travel to the domain of the goddess Shar. There you will meet (if he is still alive) the wizard Balthazar and Lady Aylin, the so-called Night Song.
By the way, Lady Aylin is one of the most powerful potential allies for your third act.
No matter how you decide in the following battle and which side you choose: Once you leave this dimension, the final battle against Ketheric Thorm awaits you in the Towers of the Rising Moon.
Entering this pool significantly advances the story.
You have to fight the battle against Ketheric regardless of whether you fight with or against the Absolute. After that, you will quickly move into Act 3 and towards Baldur’s Gate. Once you have crossed the bridge, there is no turning back.
Are there areas you should not visit before the pool? The short answer is No. You can visit all the areas that are open to you in Act 2. Everything that would advance the story happens only with diving into the above-mentioned pool.
So you can safely search the Shadowlands, meet the Thorm family in Reithwind, and revel in the Towers of the Rising Moon. Of course, all your actions have consequences. However, only for your quests that have not been completed by then and are tied to these locations.
What content can and should you complete before you go swimming? There are some quests you cannot influence or complete if you go into the pool too early. Here are some of the most important:
Breaking the Shadow Curse: If you plan to break the Shadow Curse and save the Shadowlands, you need to pursue the quests of the druid Halsin. If he is available to you as a selectable member for your party, you have advanced the quests far enough. Don’t forget to play with the mysterious child Oliver. Anyone who wants to romance Halsin and unlock the famous bear sex scene also cannot avoid these quests.
Save Minthara: If the Emerald Grove has fallen in Act 1 of your game and the goblins have triumphed, you can save and recruit Minthara in the Towers of the Rising Moon. Complete it before the temple if you want to unlock the dark elf as a party member or romance option.
Help Karlach: If you have Karlach in the group, you should visit the Last Light Inn with her. There, the blacksmith Dammon awaits new infernal iron with which you can cool Karlach to Touch Temperature. Anyone who wants to romance Karlach cannot avoid this quest.
Find Arabella’s parents: If you visit Reithwind, you can, depending on your decisions in Act 1, meet the young tiefling Arabella again. She is alone in the Shadowlands and searching for her parents.
Save the tieflings: The tiefling refugees have a hard lot and you also have to protect them from many dangers in Act 2. This includes rescuing some of them from the Towers of the Rising Moon. The more of them you can get out of precarious situations, the better for you in the following Act 3.
Take care of Yurgir: As you approach the mausoleum and thus the Temple of Shar, you will be stopped by the devil Raphael. He wants you to take out an old acquaintance for him: the orthon Yurgir. He awaits you in the temple and his fate is relevant for Astarion’s personal quest.
What can happen if you decide too early? reddit user chris5129 experienced exactly that. In a post, he laments that his love for Shadowheart cost him 10 hours of gameplay. He states that the reason for this was that he made his decision too early in Act 2 to advance the story.
In his eagerness to romance Shadowheart, he followed her quest line, which led him directly to the temple and then through the pool. He ignored the game’s warning. It was only when he noticed that the quest Infiltrate the Towers of the Rising Moon had changed to Attack the Towers of the Rising Moon that he realized his problem.
chris5129 had to load a save game from about 10 gameplay hours earlier to replay the content he missed out on.
Many users were able to relate to the experience. Canadian__Ninja commented, among other things, that he thought it was bad to visit the towers too early (Reddit). User Setherina reassured chris5129: A number of characters hint that it is the enemy’s home and that it is suicidal to go there without first finding the Night Song, that the shadows there are stronger, and so on. (Reddit)
The problem that reddit user chris5129 had seems to have been experienced by quite a few players. How did it go for you? We are curious about your comments.
Starminer is the latest indie game from Paradox Interactive on Steam. A short trailer now introduces the game about building your own space colony.
What kind of game is this? Starminer is a construction simulation by Paradox Arc, the indie division of Paradox Interactive, and the developer studio CoolandGoodGames.
The game is set to be released in 2024 on Steam, and the information from the trailer promises that the Early Access will not be long in coming.
Even though CoolandGoodGames consists of just two game designers, the trailer looks quite impressive. We have embedded it here for you:

Starminer Trailer
What to expect: In Starminer, you face the task of establishing your own mining colony in space. As the trailer shows, you start relatively small and use your space station to gather resources.
You will mine minerals from asteroids and comets and collect various space objects you find in the vicinity. Your goal is to continuously expand your station and colony. The further you expand your station, the more you can mine and collect in space.
In addition, you will also develop a mineral trade to secure your resources and finances.
As the trailer shows, you also have to protect yourself from attackers. Therefore, you will build different mechanisms to defend your space station from invaders. Because they want to seize the property of your colonies.
What the developers promise is that they want to make Starminer as realistic as possible and minimize elements that would not be possible in reality.
A current TikTok video from the Twitch streamer LetsHugo is making the rounds, where he dryly counters in a reaction to a reality TV show, in which 1,500 € is considered a lot of money, with “A stream”.
Who is Hugo? LetsHugo, whose real name is Hugo, is a 20-year-old streamer from Luxembourg who debuted on Twitch in 2016 with the popular game Minecraft. He developed a passion for video games in his youth and later began streaming. In July 2019, Hugo decided to significantly enhance his presence on Twitch.
He dropped out of school because streaming was more important to him – The success of LetsHugo
This is what he claims to earn per stream
How much money are we talking about? Currently, a TikTok video is causing discussions, where Hugo casually talks about his income. In the clip, he reacts to a reality TV show in which a participant considers 1,500 Euro a lot of money and remarks on how much one would have to work for that.
It should be noted that the current minimum wage for a five-day work week with 40 hours is approximately 1,375 Euro net (via Handelsblatt) – for 1,500 Euro, some people would have to work even a bit more than a month.
What does the streamer say about it? Hugo briefly looks up from his food in the clip and says: “A stream”. The community reacts differently; some agree and comment: “We may laugh, but he is right” or “That was no joke, haha”. Others find this imbalance “sad”.
While LetsHugo’s statement may have been a joke, he is not completely detached from reality. According to the analysis site TwitchTracker, the streamer currently has just over 6,000 active subs on Twitch. If we assume that he keeps only 2 € from each subscription, that would amount to at least 12,000 €.
In addition, there are YouTube earnings as well as donations and placements.
In April of this year, Hugo gave his followers an unusual insight into his account balance, which at that time amounted to 60,000 Euro. However, he emphasized that this saved amount was due to tax back payments.
In May, he casually mentioned that he possibly earned around 20,000 Euro in the last three months – a monthly income of about 7,000 Euro from Twitch and YouTube. However, how much exactly the 20-year-old gets for a single stream remains unclear.
Where do such statements come from? However, the streamer is well aware of his particular situation. Shortly after his comment, he explains in the stream from November 17, 2023, that he has never really worked in his life and doesn’t even know what it’s like.
While many peers are just starting their professional lives, the 20-year-old has been a full-time streamer since leaving school after 9th grade. However, LetsHugo states that he has not yet made a fortune. He does not rule out the possibility of eventually going to “real” work in his life.
In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 a skin from Season 6 has been terrorizing players in multiplayer for weeks. Despite the pleas from the community, the developers did not respond, and now that Season 6 is coming to an end, the skin is finally set to be disabled and adjusted.
What kind of skin is it? In Modern Warfare 2, Season 6 featured a season full of superheroes and villains. Players could unlock many theme-related skins in the Battle Pass, if purchased. One of these skins was Gaia, a tree-like creature, which has caused a lot of trouble in MW2 and MW3.
The reason for this was Gaia’s appearance, as she could camouflage herself too well in almost any terrain. According to the developers, this skin is set to be disabled soon so that it can be adjusted.

The new CoD MW3 presents itself with shooter action in the new multiplayer trailer
The mother of Groot will be disabled
Why is the skin being disabled? Gaia is among the most unfair P2W skins in Call of Duty. She can camouflage well and possesses glowing eyes and veins in her body with hardly any way to be detected. Many players called on the developers to adjust the skin, even during Season 6.
Once, the skin also went for an overhaul, but it was so minimal that there was hardly any difference on the battlefield. On Reddit, players were then able to ask the developers questions about MW3 and upcoming content, which were answered, including a question about when Gaia would finally be adjusted.
The developers responded with the following comment: “Adjustments to the operator skins Gaia and Gaia Blackcell are planned for Modern Warfare III. In a future game update, we will disable this skin until the changes can be made available to all players.” (via reddit.com)
How long will the skin be disabled? No one knows for sure yet. Soon Season 6 in MW2 will come to an end, and when that happens, Season 1 in MW3 will start. It could be that Modern Warfare 3 will disable Gaia at the start of its first season to quell further unrest in the community.
How the skin will be changed is still unknown, but brighter lights within the body as well as the eyes and mouth could be possible.
What do you think about Gaia finally being nerfed? Do you think it’s a shame or does the skin deserve it? Let us know in the comments!
In World of Warcraft, buffs and nerfs are raining down for almost all current dungeons. We reveal what will change soon.
The third season of World of Warcraft Dragonflight has started, and all endgame fans are back in the “Mythic+” dungeons. But the balance there is a bit “complicated,” to put it mildly.
While some dungeons prove to be particularly easy, others are quite a tough challenge even at low keystone levels. Especially the notorious “Bat Gang” in the Rabenwehr costs many deaths that are sometimes unavoidable.

What do you think of these buffs and nerfs? Necessary and important? Or way too early and too drastic?

Blue Protocol is eagerly awaited by many players, as it will be a theme park MMORPG focused on PvE and featuring a beautiful graphic style. Currently, new information is being shared more frequently, which we have compiled in this overview from MeinMMO.
What is Blue Protocol exactly? Blue Protocol is being developed by Bandai Namco and promises a gripping and fully voiced story. In it, you travel about 1,000 years into the past to prevent a major catastrophe and save the world.
There will be 5 different classes to choose from. In Japan, a sixth class has even been released already.
The game is entirely focused on story and PvE. There will be no PvP at all.
The combat system is very action-oriented.
The game world is divided into zones, similar to Guild Wars 2. In each zone, about 40 players are supposed to fit, up to 200 in cities.
There will be dungeons and raids in the endgame.
The MMORPG relies on colorful, yet beautiful anime graphics.
The MMORPG is being developed in Unreal Engine 4. In the article, we will explain in more detail how the game world is structured, what classes are available, and of course, when the release will take place.
Where does the information come from? Most of the information comes from Amazon’s latest announcement, a developer stream (via YouTube), and the last beta that took place at the end of 2020. The article was last updated on November 21, 2023.
Yes, you can register for the closed beta on the official website (via Blue Protocol). A first test under NDA took place in November, but a public one will likely follow.
What payment model will Blue Protocol use?
In Japan, Blue Protocol is supposed to be Free2Play. How monetization will look in the West is currently unknown, but it is expected to differ from the plans in Japan.
Will Blue Protocol also be released for PS5 or Xbox Series X/S?
At launch, the MMORPG is supposed to be released only for PC, but a release for PS5 and Xbox is also planned.
Game World and Content
What is the focus of the game? Clearly, it is on PvE. The story is meant to play an important role and will be accompanied by cinematic cutscenes. You will follow various quests that bring you closer to the story and receive numerous side quests that you can complete.
However, Blue Protocol will do without life skills at launch. Typical activities like woodcutting, stone mining, or fishing will not be present. However, there will be crafting professions, as you will need to craft your own equipment in Blue Protocol.
Furthermore, the MMORPG will not have equipment drops. Instead, you will receive resources that are important for crafting.
What can you do then? In the endgame, you can primarily focus on dungeons and raids. The dungeons scale with the number of players. They are supposed to be accessible both solo and in a group of up to 6 players.
How exactly the raids will play out is not yet known, but the developers are reportedly enthusiastic about the system in Final Fantasy XIV.
To ensure replayability and a bit of competition between players, there will be leaderboards for dungeons and raids.
What does the combat system look like? The combat system of Blue Protocol is very action-oriented. You need to actively target enemies, dodge incoming attacks, and have only a few, but powerful skills.
The hit feedback has been revised and improved. Previously it was not clear whether a skill had hit or not.
Dodging and movement have become more dynamic.
The animations have been partially adjusted to provide more variety.
Additionally, there is a double jump that can activate abilities to execute a power attack.
You can dodge by either binding it to a key or by double-tapping the direction keys.
A glimpse into the combat system can be seen in this excerpt from the official livestream:

Blue Protocol – Gameplay for Combat
What about PvP? In Blue Protocol, there will be no PvP at launch, not even a duel feature among friends.
What else do we know about the game content?
There will be a pet system, the Imajinns. You summon these creatures, and they will assist you in battles with special abilities. Each Imajinn has different skills, and you must decide which of the creatures you want to take on your adventures.
The character editor was very detailed even in the beta and offered many sliders for customization.
There will be mounts.
Players will be able to create wishlists with materials to keep track of them.
There will be an emote for playing rock-paper-scissors.
A housing feature will not be available at launch, but there is a possibility that it will be implemented later.
This is what the interface looks like with information about the character and equipped abilities.
Everything about the Classes in Blue Protocol
What do we know about the classes? Blue Protocol relies on a holy trinity. One class can take on the role of tank, and there is a healer, who surprisingly is the archer and not the mage.
TheBlade Guardian is a classic melee fighter with sword and shield, but focuses more on defense. It has an aggro mechanic that forces enemies to attack it. It can also parry incoming attacks with a counter and then strike back.
The Aegis Fighter is a classic tank.
The Twin Striker is a classic damage dealer and also specializes in melee combat. It attacks quickly and precisely with its double axe and relies on a combo system. The more damage dealt, the more a bar fills. This then activates an ultimate attack.
Additionally, after the beta, the “Party Chain” was introduced. Simply put, this is a combo system that applies to the entire group. As the combo count increases, the attacks become stronger, and after a certain number, the entire group receives buffs.
This is what it looks like when you attack with the Twink Striker. The combo attacks stack in the upper left.
The Arrow Stalker is a ranged fighter with a bow, but also possesses healing abilities. In your build, you have two options: the path of the healer or the path of the damage dealer.
As a DD, you must target weak points on the opponent, which is generally the head.
The Flux Weaver is a mage and is said to be the most difficult class in the game. Its focus is on damage that increases the further away the spell caster is from the enemy. It relies on mana as its resource, which regenerates slowly. Here, the correct usage is also important.
The Enemy Breaker is the newest class in the game. It wields a hammer, which can be used both in melee and as a kind of ranged weapon. In the gameplay, it can be seen that this class can charge shots, deal damage with swings, and execute powerful jump attacks.
The Heavy Smasher also uses its hammer as a ranged weapon.

Diablo 4 has promised a worthwhile XP bonus for this week, but Blizzard had to respond with a hotfix.
What is this event about?
In Diablo 4, the “Mother’s Blessing” event has been running since Monday, November 20, 2023, where you receive 35% more XP and gold. The bonus applies to all players.
The event is expected to last for 7 days and end next Monday, November 27.
Why was there a hotfix now? As reported by players on X.com (formerly Twitter), there was a mistake with the XP bonus. Instead of the promised 35% boost from Blizzard, there were only 25% additional experience points – just like the last “Mother’s Blessing” event in September (via Twitter).
In response to the Twitter posts, Adam Fletcher, the global community development director for Diablo at Blizzard, announced a hotfix (via Twitter).
This hotfix was released a few hours later. You should now receive an XP bonus of 35% as promised. However, Fletcher added in a post on Twitter that the tooltip display in the game continues to show 25%, as that cannot be fixed with a hotfix.

Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred – Teaser Trailer
Should you play the event? That depends entirely on your motivation, but it can be worthwhile to participate in the “Mother’s Blessing” event.
Due to the boost, this is the ideal opportunity to farm XP and gold. You could bring a character to level 100 if you haven’t done so yet, or level a different class.
It also makes no difference whether you are playing a season and the related content or whether you are in the endless realm. Moreover, you can stack the XP bonus, for example with potions, to further increase your yield.
We cannot ascertain whether there had already been a temporary ban for other insults before the permanent ban of the player. The banned player does not say a word about this.
What does EA say about the ban of the user and about bans in general? EA refers to the reason for the ban in the email shared by the player as a violation of the “Positive Play Charter.”
EA explains in a own blog post in detail what this charter entails, how one should behave, and what actions they may want to sanction. EA states quite plainly:
If you do not adhere to this charter or violate our user agreement, we may limit certain features on your account and revoke your access to certain or all EA services.
In the terms of service in section 6, several things are at least listed that one should not violate. (via tos.ea.com). These include:
One should not cheat or use other software.
Do not insult anyone.
Post or publish adult content.
Spread malicious tools.
However, EA does not differentiate between single-player and online games.
The problem here is that many single-player games now have integrated online components: For example, Dragon Age: Inquisition offers a multiplayer mode that you can open through the same menu as the single-player mode.
It is clear in the end: The ban from all games, including purchased ones, seems pretty harsh to many players in the community for this insult.
At the beginning of the year, not everything went smoothly for the gaming giant, which many know primarily for Dragon Age, Apex Legends, and current games from “Star Wars”:

A player was banned for an insult for the word “STFU”. However, the ban by Electronic Arts has greater consequences than expected, as the user states that the ban applies not only to EA’s multiplayer games.
If players behave poorly, for instance by insulting others, cheating in games, or doing other unseemly things, they will be banned in many games.
A user has now stated that the company Electronic Arts has banned him from all games for a simple insult. Many people find the ban too harsh.
Player banned for insult and cannot log in anymore
This is the situation: A user stated on reddit that Electronic Arts (EA) banned him. He posts a picture where the ban is clearly visible. According to the email, he was banned for the four letters stfu. Stfu means, literally translated “shut the f**k up” or “be quiet”.
He himself states that he can no longer start multiplayer titles or purchased single-player titles. He writes that he can no longer log in to the “EA App” and thus cannot start his games.
This is how EA’s decision is commented on: Many users do not believe that EA’s decision is the right one. Because one should not deny a user access to items they have paid for with their own money.
Some also speculate that such a ban could be illegal in the EU. However, it would look different if the banned user only used the games through the paid subscription “EA Plus”.
Many believe, however, that EA cannot simply block the player. Someone writes:
If you violate their language policy, they should not deny you access to your own library that you have already paid for. They should just exclude you from the online services. Playing The Sims 3 should not be prohibited because I said STFU in Apex.

On Twitch, there is currently a streamer who is extremely successful, playing a single shooter that usually receives little interest.
Who is it about?
Jynxzi is a US-American streamer who has 3 million followers on Twitch.
In his streams, he stands out primarily due to his loud personality. He often screams, swears, and jumps up and down while gaming.
Jynxzi often has over 30,000 viewers. In the past three months, his average was 32,900.
Moreover, according to the website TwitchTracker, Jynxzi is currently the streamer with the most active subs on Twitch – ahead of other streaming giants like ibai, xQc, Gaules, HasanAbi, and KaiCenat.
The special thing about Jynxzi is – besides his screaming – that he primarily plays a shooter that generally receives little interest on Twitch.
Which shooter does he play? Jynxzi mainly plays Ubisoft’s tactical shooter Rainbow Six: Siege, in which two teams of five players each compete against each other. They either try to plant a bomb or prevent its placement, or completely eliminate the opposing team.
Rainbow Six: Siege is particularly characterized by the multitude of tactical options arising from the various playable characters, known as operators, their weapons, gadgets, abilities, and the map layouts.
Unlike most successful “Rainbow Six: Siege” streamers and eSports players, Jynxzi does not play on PC, but rather on an Xbox.

Does he stream other games? Other games like Fortnite or EA FC are quite rare on his stream and are more of an exception. Typically, Jynxzi plays exclusively Rainbow Six: Siege.
For comparison:
Rainbow Six Siege is his most streamed game with 414 hours
Fortnite is his second most streamed game with 12.5 hours
The “Just Chatting” category is something the US-American hardly streams at all. In the past 90 days, he has only streamed 5.5 hours (as of November 20, 2023, via Sullygnome)
That’s why his success is so special: The fact that Jynxzi reaches over 30,000 viewers even in Rainbow Six: Siege is impressive. Over 30,000 viewers would also be a strong value in other games, but the shooter from Ubisoft receives little interest on Twitch.
With an average of 16,951 viewers (in the past 90 days), Rainbow: Six Siege only ranks 25th in average viewer count on Twitch (via Sullygnome).
Without Jynxzi, the value of the shooter would likely be even worse. Other streamers like Beaulo, RazaH, or MacieJay, who also regularly stream Rainbow Six: Siege, have not even 2,000 viewers on average – and still belong to the largest content creators of the game. Jynxzi significantly boosts the viewership numbers of the title.
Rainbow Six: Siege will receive a feature with the upcoming season that allows you to trade your skins:
The Caller in World of Warcraft have a hard time. They are still frequently kicked – even though they are fulfilling their role. Not everyone sees it that way.
Meanwhile, over 4 months have passed since the Caller received a new specialization in World of Warcraft Dragonflight. The Enhancer is quite a heavyweight and a welcome guest in most groups. Because even if the Enhancer itself does not have the highest numbers on the damage meter, it does amplify the group members, who then deliver significantly more performance.
However, this “innovation” has not quite reached all players even after nearly half a year.

What about the Caller? Even now, Caller players who have dedicated themselves to the enhancement are reporting that they are still being kicked from groups. The reason is always that they are dealing too little damage and thus cannot keep up with the rest of the group.
MattLorien reports in the WoW subreddit that he was kicked from a group because he was doing “such low damage”. He can either “get upset or work on himself and be better next time”.

This is how the community reacts: With more than 2,300 upvotes, there is a lot of support for this experience, and others also share their own stories where they were kicked from the group or approached due to lack of damage.
Some also tell very similar stories, where the group leaders apparently have no idea about the game.
“I did a 15 key after work yesterday and the tank went after me for it. I just don’t understand why people still don’t understand how [the Enhancer Caller] works.”
“It’s kind of fascinating that people know enough about this game to install addons, but still are so dumb.”
“Some people are just born dumb. I was reprimanded for being a bad resto shaman because I wouldn’t use totems. By the way, I was a monk.”
So if you want to complain about a Caller – first check if they are specialized in enhancement. And then ask yourself very precisely why your numbers are currently so much larger than usual.
