What is it about? The EA-FC-24 page FUTBIN has posted a video on Instagram with the caption: “PC hackers are using AI in Champions (referring to Weekend League or qualifiers, note by the editor).” For some FIFA 23 players, seeing this will surely evoke terrible memories.
In the video, it’s clearly visible that the opposing players do not have a cursor above their heads. This is normally visible and indicates which player is currently controlled by oneself or the opponent. If this symbol is missing, it becomes increasingly likely that one is dealing with a hacker who is letting the AI play for them.

AI hack makes players appear unbeatable
What exactly is the problem with the AI hack? The biggest difficulty lies in the fact that the AI is set to “Ultimate” by the hacker. If you have ever faced the CPU at this difficulty level in Squad Battles or offline modes, you know that the game against the AI at this level lives up to what one would expect from ultimate.
More precisely, this means: Offensively, the AI makes almost no mistakes in building up the game. This makes it unbelievably hard to even get the ball. Additionally, the opposing defenders and goalkeepers are much stronger and smarter in their positioning.

Deactivate crossplay to avoid PC hackers
How you can protect yourself from hackers: We have good news for all console players. There is a simple solution to avoid the risk of encountering AI hackers in the Weekend League. You can make simple precautionary measures in the settings to protect yourself.
After logging into Ultimate Team, you will see various selection options at the top of the main menu such as “Play, Club, SBC” etc. Now select the “Settings” tab. Three more selection options will now be displayed above. Go to the “Matchmaking Settings” and open it.
Here you can make two adjustments again. To avoid CPU hackers, simply deactivate crossplay and confirm your decision when returning to the main menu (as seen in the image).
This way you are on the safe side. Unfortunately, with this step, you can no longer face PS4 or Xbox players, but you also will not encounter potential PC hackers. You can activate the crossplay settings again at any time in the same way.
