- Combat Power: Reflects your hero’s actual combat strength, as factors like your progress in the Daevanion talent system, unlocks in the Pantheon, your collection of Arcana cards, the levels of your skills, stigma socket stones, and the special bonuses and effects of titles or your wings are also taken into account. When players seek allies for challenging content, they often require a specific Combat Power value that must be met.
Characters who have just reached level 45 can have an item level of about 1,000 and a Combat Power of over 46,000.
Item Level in Aion 2: The Key Milestones
Are there item level milestones I should be aware of? Yes, there are. The item level progression in Aion 2 can be roughly divided into the following phases:
- Phase 1: up to maximum level 45 and item level 1,000 (level phase)
- Focus on side quests, sealed dungeons, and garrisons outside the main quest line to increase your item level and combat power. Only when you reach item level 1,000 can you complete the story (for this, among other things, you need to visit the Abyss). Also, make sure to do your 5 daily quests (duties) every day.
- Phase 2: item level 1,000 to 1,400 (the start of endgame)
- Master all remaining garrisons and sealed dungeons, collect the feathers in the game world, and complete the remaining regional quests. You can also tackle the first endgame dungeons for solo players and groups (Expedition, Daily Dungeons). However, the expedition dungeons become truly efficient only starting from item level 1,400. The mini-games of the Shugo Festival and invasion events enhance the dungeon runs.
- Phase 3: item level 1,400 to 1,600
- Farm the expedition dungeon Vakron’s Sky Island. Do your nightmare and ascension ritual runs at the end of each ID.
- Phase 4: item level 1,600 to 1,700
- From now on, you can enter the first level of the Transcendence Dungeons. They drop at item level 1,600 but are still quite challenging. Increase your item level by farming all the feathers for the monolith there in the Abyss. Fill further equipment gaps through the dungeons. How do I quickly get to item level 1,400? Focus initially on your progress in the Daevanion talent system (especially through Sealed Dungeons and regional quests) and upgrading your belt (through Strongholds). Also, collect feathers in the world to upgrade your Revelation Amulet.

Tip for item level 1,500: You will now unlock the normal difficulty of the Ascension Trial in the Forgotten Repository. This is much more worthwhile than the easy version for item level 1,000. How do I quickly get to item level 2,100? Earn your first green set of Arkana cards through the Transcendence dungeons (each basic card is worth 20 item levels, and the green ones are worth 40 item levels each). By upgrading the cards, you can increase the item level even further.
It’s best to inform yourself beforehand about the requirements of the dungeons, as you must complete them within a certain time. And only if you achieve a sufficiently high rating will you unlock the next level. Depending on your success in the Transcendence dungeons, you can even reach an item level of 1,900 or even 2,000.
With the Arkana cards from the Transcendence dungeons in hand, it’s worth venturing into the higher-level dungeons to receive significant equipment upgrades and get them to level 10. This way, you should efficiently reach item level 2,100.
How do I quickly get to item level 2,400? Upgrade your Arcana cards to the next level (blue). To do this, you need to farm Stage 2 of the Transcendence Dungeons. After that, crafting your unique Arcana should be the focus of your efforts.
From item level 2,100, you can also try the Fire Temple dungeon at its highest level to obtain better gear (especially the weapons from there are exciting now). An alternative dungeon we can recommend at this level is Grimmhorn Cave, where you can still fill some equipment gaps.
Then refine your gear through upgrades, optimal sockets, and by optimizing ineffective random values.
How important is it to get the best possible gear in Aion 2? You definitely do not need the best-in-slot gear available at launch to play the PvE endgame content of Aion 2.
