What is Peaky Blinders about? The series is set in England and tells the story of the Shelby family between the world wars.
It begins in 1919, shortly after the events of World War I, and follows Thomas Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy) and his gang of street criminals, the “Peaky Blinders.” The Shelbys are one of the most prominent families in the criminal underworld, having significant influence on Birmingham as well.
However, Chief Inspector Chester Campbell shows up one day on behalf of the Royal Irish Constabulary to put an end to the gang’s activities once and for all.
