The developers of Black Desert Online have presented their new class in the teaser trailer, but the fans’ excitement is rather limited.
What kind of new class is this? The developers of Black Desert Online have introduced the Gambit in a new teaser trailer. The new class appears to be somewhat futuristic for the fantasy world of the MMORPG and fights with grenades and a revolver.
In the trailer, everything revolves around chess and the weaknesses of the opponent. The video suggests that the class can see the weaknesses of its opponents and is always a step ahead. However, that is not enough for the fans.

Too cryptic for hype
What frustrates the players? The players express their frustration in the comments on YouTube about the teaser trailer. It simply shows the community too little of the new class and leaves too many questions unanswered. They write:
- brandonnowonline6533: “All right, give him a great sword for his awakening and welcome back, Dante.”
- Francis-x9l4j: “After over 5,000 hours of gameplay, there are still two things I haven’t done in BDO: 1) Necromancy, 2) Have fun.”
- Muphet: “The thumbnail of the video explains the new class better than the video itself. [You see a man with a revolver]”
More about the new class and the release date will likely come next week, on July 25, at the Heidel Ball 2026. The event is entirely dedicated to Black Desert Online and celebrates the 10th anniversary of the EU and NA servers.

What about Black Desert Online? The developers of Black Desert Online have scored a mega success with their new game Crimson Desert and generated significant revenue. Black Desert Online is likely to benefit from this as well.
The major announcements besides the class are being saved by the developers for the aforementioned Heidel Ball. The MMORPG currently has a good standing in the industry, which the developers will likely want to build on further.
