The developers of Black Desert Online are celebrating their anniversary on Steam and treating everyone to a good discount as well as hefty bonuses.
What kind of game is this? Black Desert Online is one of the best MMORPGs that you can currently play on Steam. The Korean title from the creators of Crimson Desert has been around since 2016 and was regarded even then as one of the prettiest representatives of the genre.
BDO is also one of the few successful games in the sub-genre of grindy MMORPGs, which is also due to its endless leveling and the large trading system in the endgame. Those who play Black Desert spend a lot of time slicing through enemies.

What is being celebrated? The developers of Black Desert initially released their MMORPG together with Kakao Games. However, four years ago they ended the deal and took care of the game’s future themselves.
This independence is now being celebrated by the developers with the new event Desert Light. The goal is for as many players as possible to collect the resource Desert Light. It can be obtained through daily tasks and counts towards a counter.
If the community manages to fill the bar to 100% before the end of the timer, Pearl Abyss will celebrate this success by starting additional events. Players will then receive powerful bonuses of up to 1000% combat experience, 100% drop rate for items, and 100% experience for life skills.
What is there for new players? Black Desert has been on sale and even available for free in the past, but typically the title costs 10 euros. However, to celebrate the anniversary of four years of independence, there is also a sale, and BDO is currently available for 99 cents. A good time to try out the MMORPG.
