An important quest for Season 2 of WoW: Midnight is overlooked by many. It will give you the best loot in the game later.
Season 2 of World of Warcraft Midnight has started, and with it come some quests that you should accept and complete. It is already clear that in a few weeks there will be “Bonus Rolls” again, which will allow you to earn additional loot from various game content.
But the quest can be easily overlooked because it is not offered in Silvermoon. We’ll tell you how to accept the task so that you don’t fall behind.
Bonus Rolls for the Best Loot – You Need a Quest
Where does the quest start? The start of the quest line is a bit counter-intuitive. It begins in the Twisting Nether with Decimus – the same place where you started the quest line for the Bonus Rolls in the first season. However, the Twisting Nether is likely to be visited by very few players right now, as the action mainly takes place on the winding island.
So talk to Decimus in the Twisting Nether (coordinates: 51 / 68) and then travel to Silvermoon to speak with Orin Irrlicht (coordinates: 40 / 65). There you will receive the quest Prismatic Potential, which you should also accept.
What do you need to do for the quest? The quest requires you to collect a total of 10 Elemental Voidcore Shards and bring them to Orin. You can obtain the shards from various endgame game contents. These include:
- Rich Depths
- Raid bosses from Season 2
- Mythic+
- Nightmare Loot Hunts
Once you have collected 10 of them, return to Orin. The quest line will continue next week and will repeat several times.
If you missed a week, that’s not a big deal. You can catch up on the previous quests at any time, but it will involve a bit more effort. It is advisable to accept the quest each week and complete it as soon as possible.
Why are Bonus Rolls so important? With Bonus Rolls, you can specifically search for items that you really want later. When you use the Nebulous Voidcores, you will receive an item at a high item level from the source where you used the core. For example, if you defeat the boss Ula’tek in the raid but had no luck with the regular loot distribution, you can simply activate a Bonus Roll and are guaranteed to receive an item from Ula’tek’s loot list. This is particularly important for the hunt for Best in Slot
items.
