In Erenshor you are always the best player in the MMORPG, because all your teammates on Steam are simulated. In summer, the title will undergo a significant change.
What kind of MMORPG is this? Erenshor is one of the craziest MMORPGs on Steam. You are the only real player in the world. All other characters chat, level up, quest, and even form groups and guilds with you, but they are actually controlled by AI.
With 94% positive ratings, the SOLO developer has long proven that the concept works. However, one important feature has so far been missing and is finally set to launch in the summer: Raids.
Raids without teammates
What are these raids? So far, the bots have done a good job of handling dungeons, leveling, guilds, and quests like typical MMORPG players, but genuine raids with strong mechanics, class dynamics, and high demands have been missing.
Developer Burgee has now announced that they want to add four raids to the game. With 14 bots by your side, you will be able to fight through four levels of raid difficulties, which include a total of 120 new gear drops and more than 20 bosses.
The process resembles that of an old-school MMORPG: slaying trash mobs, taking down bosses, looting, and moving on.
How will this work with the bots? In order for the bots to not just perfectly execute all mechanics and carry the player through the raid, you have to take on the role of the raid lead. During the raid, you will give commands to the individual groups and players through a new interface.
Where should each boss be pulled? Who attacks whom and when? And even when new adds have just spawned, you can give the command to slay. The party will only be as good as your raid lead, thus simulating important core aspects of an MMORPG.
However, what’s still missing is the drama around the drops, when two players argue over one loot drop and discuss why they deserve it. This moment can probably only be experienced in a real MMORPG.
The developer states that the big update will add about 20 to 40 hours of new content for the average player. How much exactly will depend on how good your skills as a raid lead are.
Erenshor shows that an MMORPG can also be fun even when the players are not real. Have you tried the MMORPG? Feel free to share your impressions in the comments! Aion 2 is also struggling with fake players, as they have taken over the market: Aion 2 has to completely change its currency because farm bots have worked too hard
