The Mega Evolutions in Pokémon GO have received a change. And this can save you a lot of time.
Mega Evolutions are temporary evolutions in Pokémon GO, where you can obtain powerful variants of some creatures. Along with a strong CP and attribute bonus, you can also receive a damage bonus, more candies and experience points, as well as an increased chance for XL candies during an active Mega Evolution. A recent change now allows you to increase your Pokémon’s Mega Level more quickly. However, you will need Mega Energy beforehand.
Increase levels faster, trigger evolution earlier
What is this change? There are different levels of a Mega Evolution. To reach these, you previously had to invest quite a bit of time. You could trigger a Mega Evolution each day to gain progress in the Mega Levels.
Exactly here, there is now a change. If you have enough Mega Energy, you can jump directly to the next Mega Level. This way, you save the time of triggering an evolution every day or waiting for the next Mega Evolution to become available without using Mega Energy.
What advantage does this have? By immediately increasing a Mega Level, you can reach the bonuses of an activated Mega Evolution faster, which you only receive at high levels.
Instead of taking days to trigger evolutions for a creature, you can jump directly to a high level if you possess the Mega Energy. This also includes the Primal Reversions of Kyogre and Groudon.
Once you have reached the “Max Level”, you can trigger your evolution every 3 days without using additional Mega Energy.
How do I obtain Mega Energy? If you lack energy for a creature, you can defeat it in Mega Raids when available to receive more energy. Additionally, if you have already triggered a Mega Evolution once, you can take the Pokémon as a buddy and receive energy for walking together.
