Owen Reece is a special case in the Marvel universe. He had a poorly paid job in a laboratory, and one day an accident happened. Reece mutated and gained the ability to manipulate molecules, hence the rather dull-sounding name Molecule Man.
As it turns out later, this ability was consciously given to him by the Beyonders – beings that exist outside of the multiverse. Molecule Man was intended as a bomb to destroy the multiverse. Depending on the story, he is sometimes a villain, sometimes the savior of the entire reality.
Hardly any character has such an opaque power as the Molecule Man. Sometimes he is the most powerful being that has ever existed in Marvel comics, sometimes it’s said that he is not as powerful as thought. Nevertheless, he is on a level that even the Hulk could only dream of, despite his strength.
As one can see, there are some characters for whom even the Hulk is not a great threat. But it should also be noted that the Hulk could easily defeat normal heroes and villains.
