Together with Franklin Richards, Annihilus also entered the light of day in 1968. He was born in the Negative Zone after a humanoid species spread spores on a planet during a spaceship crash. From this, an insect creature with high intelligence emerged.
Early on, he not only gained access to great knowledge, but he also obtained the Cosmic Control Rod
