The head of Take-Two, the publisher of GTA 6, has commented on the price and revealed how it is being shaped. He also shares insights about the next game from Rockstar Games.
How much will GTA 6 cost? The CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, does not reveal an exact price yet, but he explains what players can expect. He recently stated at the Video Game Conference Iicon in Las Vegas that prices for games have not increased in years.
Full-price titles still cost 60 $ or 70 $ (or Euros), despite increases in prices for everything else. He says, “When viewed from this perspective, it doesn’t make much sense.” But those who are already painfully reaching for their wallets may breathe a sigh of relief; it seems GTA 6 is not expected to reflect that notion.

GTA 6 is primarily intended to be good
How is the price determined? For the head of Take-Two, it is important to emphasize that they want to make GTA 6 the good game that everyone expects. He explains at the conference: “Consumers pay for the added value you provide, and our job is to charge far, far, far less than the value of that performance.”
How one feels about a purchase depends on how the product itself is and how much one pays for it. Consumers need to feel that the product itself is great and that the price they paid was fair in relation to what was delivered.

Therefore, when it comes to the price of GTA 6, it is probably not about creating an overly expensive title, but about making a game that is more than worth the price. He continues, stating, “Instead, we are thinking about… how we can offer something great and how we can ensure that the price people pay seems absolutely reasonable.”
How much GTA 6 will ultimately cost remains unknown, but it should not be too painful.
Successor to GTA 6
What is coming after GTA 6? For years, the question of when GTA 6 will finally launch has been prominent in the comment sections. But now the head unexpectedly shifts the focus to the next game from Rockstar.
At another point during his appearance at the conference, the head spoke about what lies ahead for Rockstar after GTA 6. Although it is probably still too early to announce a specific game, he initially states, “In general, we plan to do something with our entire intellectual property in the future,” but then he brings up a nearly forgotten title. He explains:
“There is nothing specific to announce regarding ‘L.A. Noire,’ and if there was something, Rockstar would announce it, not me. But as for our established franchises, the teams are constantly assessing what we have, and we are always thinking about it. The only question is: Do we have a team at a given point that wants to work on it passionately?”
What is L.A. Noire? L.A. Noire is a detective and action game that was released on Steam in 2011. LAPD detective Cole Phelps must investigate corruption, organized crime, and gangs shortly after World War II.
As a player, you collect clues, interrogate witnesses, and ultimately solve the case and decide whom to prosecute. In doing so, Rockstar focused less on a vast world like in GTA, but more on detailed crime scenes and staged action-packed sequences.
15 years after its debut, a new L.A. Noire could be a suitable candidate that Rockstar could develop alongside the service for GTA 6.
Fans of GTA 6 have long been waiting for real news about the game. However, the wait is supposed to be over soon, as the start date for the marketing campaign has already been set: The head of GTA 6 reveals when it finally begins and when we can expect trailer 3
