A German YouTuber allegedly entered the Rockstar North building without an invitation. Subsequently, even the police arrived.
This is what happened: A German YouTuber who goes by the name “ÜberGaming” allegedly entered the office building of Rockstar North in Edinburgh unlawfully on May 26, 2026. At least that’s what the YouTuber claims in a video on his channel, which mainly focuses on GTA 6.
According to the content creator, he was escorted out of the building’s lobby after just a few seconds. Subsequently, even the police showed up and recorded the personal details of the group.
“In response to the counter-question as to why our data was being recorded, they said: If anything about GTA were to leak, they would get in touch,” the YouTuber asserts toward the end of the video, humorously adding: “We now have 5 stars in real life with Rockstar Games as well.”
Here’s what happened afterwards: In the comments of the video, the YouTuber admits that the video title is somewhat dramatic and that the police intervention “wasn’t that deep.” Additionally, the photo of two English police officers shown in the video is from Wikipedia and can be easily found by searching for “Police Edinburgh” on Google.
It is therefore questionable whether the police actually showed up because of the group and recorded the data, or if the YouTuber was just being a bit “looser” with his title to make things sound more dramatic. Furthermore, he only shows footage of his hotel, the area, and a brief clip of how the travel group walks through the lobby door into the building.
That’s why you shouldn’t show up at a studio: A development studio will not grant you any confidential insights just because you camp outside the office building uninvited and may even enter uninvited. What remains is the unpleasant impression you leave on a developer.
By making an unannounced “visit” to the developers’ workplace, you are not only disrupting their operations but also posing a risk to the safety of the employees and crossing a line. This can trigger a feeling of discomfort and threat. In the worst case, your behavior may be of criminal relevance. This applies not only to Rockstar Games and GTA 6.
