The release of GTA 6 is approaching, and fans are discussing what the game really needs for their taste. They bring up the topic of accessible buildings and even have a wish.
What do they want? The fans of GTA 6 would love to access large stores like a Walmart in the game. There would be plenty of room for immersion, but also for fun and potential roleplay.
Such superstores are common in the USA and would provide a diverse playground for fans. However, there are mainly two reasons that make a store so attractive.

Empty maps and spending money
Why do fans insist on walkable houses? For fans, this has been one of the biggest weaknesses of GTA 5. The fact that so many houses are not accessible is a problem that the community still complains about many years after the release (Source: Reddit). This is probably mainly because the consoles that GTA 5 was released on simply did not have the required performance.
For this reason, players want Rockstar Games not to make the same mistake again. They want to truly immerse themselves in the world, enter buildings, and ideally be able to actually do something there. This is the second major wish of the players.
Players should be able to spend their money not just on cars and houses, but also on everyday activities. This approach is already being pursued by the developers in GTA: San Andreas. In that game, you could eat, go to the gym, and had to pay attention to your weight.
What are the players saying? The players themselves express these wishes in the comments of a post on Reddit. There, they write:
- Azaiiii: “To be honest, GTA 5 felt pretty empty because of such things. There were many sights, but you couldn’t do anything at any of them. Half the map was empty space, only used in missions at best.”
- alexbruns: “I would really enjoy having something to spend all our money on. Car dealerships are fun, but if we got any kind of customization for our hideouts […].”
- Haunting-Towel-1525: “Not much, but it’s always fun when games have full in-game stores.”
- Sad-Tradition-5: “I would love it if you could go to hardware or supermarkets and that would change something about your hideout. Depending on what you bought at the supermarket, you would see that somewhere in the house or in the fridge. […].”
