What happened? There was a brief moment when Vegeta relapsed and was ashamed of his tame family life. Desire Gin was cursed by the evil wizard Babidi and briefly became the ruthless warrior he once was.
However, when he realizes the extent of the destruction caused by Majin Buu, he takes responsibility for his mistakes. He decides to end his life and takes Buu with him in an explosion to death. Just before that, he even hugs his son Trunks, saying that he hasn’t held him since he was a baby.
Why is this moment so important? This moment shows that Vegeta is no longer the warrior butcher he once was. He realizes that his family is important to him and that he simply wants to keep them safe. That’s why he also knocks out Trunks to keep him safe.Â
