Good morning and welcome to our live ticker for the upcoming server downtime of Fortnite. You still have plenty of time until Epic Games takes the servers down. So enjoy a round or two in Battle Royale before the plug is pulled.
What happens during the server downtime? The servers will be taken down. During this time, you will not be able to play Fortnite.
When does the server downtime in Fortnite start? The servers will be taken down on April 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM. A short time before (about half an hour, around 09:30 AM), matchmaking will be disabled (source: x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? It depends on the size of the update and the duration of the downtime. This is a major update, so expect one to three hours or more.
What do the patch notes say? There are still no official details about the upcoming patch notes. If Epic Games shares these, we will update this section.
