Expensive skins have been a topic since the release of Diablo 4. But currently, it is mainly the free looks of a new class that excite players due to their extraordinary designs.
This is what the skins are about: In Diablo 4, you have many options already at character creation. You collect additional looks during gameplay by dismantling equipment and taking their designs into your wardrobe.
With Lord of Hatred, many new skins were added to the shop. Most of them are quite expensive. For a complete equipment set, you have to pay 2,800 platinum, which is 25 euros. A bundle for Warcraft with an armor set for all classes even costs 50 euros.
However, many players are now realizing that they do not have to spend the money, as the free skins of the Warlock are bursting with creativity.

Which skins do players particularly like? Players celebrate the different looks of the new Warlock. Especially the helmets are being praised: they are “completely unhinged,” varied, and creatively designed. And these are actually free, regular items from the game.
A corresponding Reddit post showing six extravagant helmet variants has already gathered nearly 2,900 upvotes. And they all look very … interesting:
The reactions in the community are overwhelmingly positive. Some designs remind players of “Venom,” while others evoke memories of Berlin nightlife. User Corren_64 humorously compares the design to a “Saturday night in Berlin.”
Some players lament that the character’s face often completely disappears under the massive helmets. User Mythos_Fenn_Shysa jokes: “Who needs to see out of their helmet, lol.”
What is clear is that the designs of the Warlock skins, especially the helmets, are completely outlandish and creative, while the community celebrates the fact that these variants can be found regularly in the game and do not need to be purchased in the shop.
MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus also likes to spend money in the ARPG to look good. As a WoW veteran, he is tempted by the new crossover with appropriate shop items, but the prices make him hesitate (for now). Although he has already spent 430 euros on cosmetics in Diablo 4 since release, even he finds the new WoW skins simply too expensive.
