Who would have thought that Baldur’s Gate 3 is now celebrating its third birthday? To mark the occasion, there was a livestream, which was abruptly interrupted.
What happened in the livestream? Aoife Wilson is a Senior Communications Developer at Larian and is streaming a playthrough of Dark Urge, the “Dark Desire” on Twitch and YouTube. She is currently in Act 3 and during the stream, she goes to the House of Hope, where you can sleep with the Incubus Haarlep.
During the stream, the act between the player and Haarlep in her female form is visible. You can watch the scenes in the uploaded video on Twitch.
The explicit parts are supposed to be covered by a golden D20 dice. However, the dice does not always succeed in quickly jumping to the right body spots. Therefore, there are partially visible nipples, which makes Wilson wonder why they are visible.
But on YouTube and TikTok, the stream has been banned mid-way, as Larian notes on X. It can only be found on Twitch now.
Too Much Bare Skin for YouTube and TikTok
Why was it banned? The nudity and sexual content are the reasons why the livestream was interrupted on YouTube and TikTok, as it can no longer be found there.
Publishing Director Michael Douse shares the ban news on X with the note that it’s cool and edgy to be banned right on your birthday:

Various streamers on Twitch have also had issues with explicit scenes in Baldur’s Gate 3 in the past. On Twitch, shroud felt uncomfortable, for example, when he started a love scene with Minthara. And he was not the only streamer to experience this.
