Will there be an early access?
Yes, a full 5 days before the official release, starting from September 30. You can participate in the EA by purchasing one of the founder packs. According to an email from NCSoft to us, the launch is supposed to take place at 3:00 PM. You can read more about the founder packs here:
When is the release of Aion 2 in the West?
On October 5, 2026, Aion 2 will be released in its global version in the West. There is currently no exact statement about the start time. However, we assume that the launch servers will also go live at 3 PM.
Is preload possible?
The preload of Aion 2 started on September 28, 2026, at 3 PM.
Will there be a beta before that?
The beta has already ended. It ran on September 17 and 18 for a stress test, which you could register for via Steam. During these times you could play:
- September 17, 2026
- 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM CEST
- September 18, 2026
- 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM CEST (following day)
You could download the beta version in advance starting from September 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM CEST. Progress will not carry over to the launch. You will start completely anew.

On which platforms will Aion 2 be released?
Aion 2 will initially only be available on PC via Steam and its own launcher. A mobile version exists for the Korean home market, but it is not expected to come to the West. A console port is in progress but is not yet finished. Owners of a PS5 and Xbox will need to be patient.

When was the release in Asia? In South Korea and Taiwan, Aion 2 has been playable since November 19, 2025.
