What is the connection between Aion 2 and its predecessor?
Aion 2 is set around 200 years after Aion 1, and again, your beautiful wings will be the focus. The developers themselves refer to Aion 2 as the “full version of Aion” because they were finally able to implement everything that was not possible due to technical limitations about 10 years after the first installment.
How much bigger will Aion 2 be?
According to the developers, the game world will be around 36 times larger than in its predecessor. That alone gives an impression of how much content to expect.

How is Aion 2 structured?
Similar to Aion 1, you will again need to choose a faction in advance, which will determine several aspects of the game for you:
- Faction Choice
- The old conflict between Elyos (Light) and Asmodians (Shadow) returns. You must firmly choose a side.
- Separate Servers
- The opposing faction will be placed on a completely different server.
- Coordination with friends is therefore important if you want to play together.
- Targeted Encounters
- Encounters with the enemy side only occur in instanced modes and in the Abyss, the PvP zone of Aion 2.
- PvE Focus
- Despite the faction conflict, the gameplay focus of the MMORPG is clearly on PvE content and less on PvP.
What classes will there be?
Aion 2 will have a total of 8 classes at launch:
- Templar
- Main tank with a large shield and many defensive abilities
- Gladiator
- Off-tank focusing on life steal and AoE
- Ranger
- Archer class with typical abilities
- Assassin
- Attacks from ambush with stealth attacks, high burst, and damage bonuses for ambush attacks
- Summoner
- Specializes in combat with summoned spirits
- Mage
- Causes explosive damage
- Cleric
- Acts as the main healer
- Bard
- A hybrid role that supports with healing and buffs

What PvE content will there be?
The focus will primarily be on the following content:
- Dungeons
- Designed for 4 or 8 players
- There are various difficulty levels
- Popular dungeons from the predecessor will also return in a new guise
- There will also be instanced challenges for solo players
- Dynamic Events in the Open World
- No further information is available yet
