Darth Vader is one of the most powerful Sith ever. The following characters have nonetheless defeated him. Among them is none other than his former master: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Yes, technically Vader isn’t wearing his iconic armor during this fight yet, but internally the transformation into the dark Sith has already taken place. As with Boba Fett, Vader experienced this defeat on a volcanic planet, namely Mustafar.
The duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin is already legendary and dramatically takes place over hot rivers of lava, as they balance in a small space showcasing their lightsaber skills. In the end, the master defeats his former Padawan and severs some of his limbs.
Years later, the two meet again. In the series Obi-Wan Kenobi, there is a battle in which Vader’s visor gets damaged. And of course, there is the famous encounter in Episode 4. One can argue whether Obi-Wan would have emerged victorious from this duel had he not chosen a noble death.
