Darth Vader is one of the most powerful Sith ever. The following characters have defeated him nonetheless. Among them is Boba Fett, the bounty hunter with the iconic armor.

In the original trilogy, Boba Fett and Darth Vader work together. However, there is a moment where they face off as enemies. It concerns the head of Selestrine, with which one can look into the future.
The Sith pursues the bounty hunter on the volcanic planet Maryx Minor, where Boba Fett lies in wait. He pretends to fall into the lava with the chest containing Selestrine’s head. When Vader looks for him, the bounty hunter shoots him in the head. However, he does not kill him, which turns out to be a mistake.
Vader quickly recovers and forces Fett to his knees. But then the bounty hunter kicks the chest into the lava, distracting Vader from him. Fett is able to escape and has likely learned: One should kill Vader while one can. Thus, this can count as a victory over him, although the encounter was still dangerous.
