GTA 6 holds a lot of potential to be much better than GTA 5 simply due to the long development time and the massive hype. And they already have strong foundations with their main characters.
Those who think back to the 3 protagonists from GTA 5 – Michael, Franklin, and Trevor – will most likely remember the confrontations and funny screaming moments as they frustrated each other. This could be fun in many moments, but it was also limited.
Yes, the three will form a much more cohesive team and undergo character developments in their own way. However, the characters from GTA 5 are definitely not the selling point of the game.
The characters from GTA 5 feel more like cartoon protagonists. They need to be fun, then they have done their job.
With GTA 6, however, Rockstar could show that their writers have more skills. And for that, they already have two strong potentials as a prerequisite.
With Lucia and Jason, Rockstar not only has a duo but a couple that holds incredible potential for emotion, conflict, and simply humanity.
However, the two are just two of many other – some already announced – characters that players will encounter in GTA 6. The humor should not be left behind. However, it would be nice to see if the relationship between the characters has more to offer than slapstick and funny insults.
