On Steam a huge open-world MMORPG is currently being given away for free, which usually costs around €34. If you don’t want to miss out on this, you need to hurry.
Which game are we talking about? The MMORPG in question is Wild Terra 2: New Lands. As part of a promotional campaign on Steam, you can currently get the game for free. This way, you save the €34.99 that the game normally costs. This offer is only valid until today, June 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
An open fantasy world shaped by the players
What does Wild Terra 2: New Lands offer? Developer Juvty Worlds lets you immerse yourself in an open medieval fantasy world, emphasizing immersion and a high level of detail. There are a variety of crafting professions, but crafting requires more than just gathering the right ingredients and then pressing a button. Knowledge and endurance are also required to become a master of your craft.
The game world of the MMORPG is controlled by the players themselves. You can build your own home wherever you want (or there’s still space), join forces with other players to form guilds, and take on certain roles. Dungeons and raids, as in other MMORPGs, are also available, as well as PvP.
With update 3.0, there is also a reason for veterans to take another look at Wild Terra 2: New Lands. The developers describe it as “one of the largest updates in the game’s history,” and accordingly, the list of new content is long.
In short, update 3.0 includes among other things:
- a dungeon with new mechanics
- exotic weapon oaths
- new armor types and consumables
- skills and effects
- community-requested improvements
- and much more

A “rough diamond” with edges
Is the game worth it? You will have to answer this question for yourself, as at least the Steam reviews are “mixed” – only 62% of the reviews are positive.
Criticisms include outdated technology and lack of polish (as in this Steam review from a player who has spent almost 2,000 hours in the MMORPG). Additionally, it is said to be difficult for many new players, who are now checking in, to even complete the tutorial. To do so, you need to build a home in the starting area – which is hard when almost all the land in the starting area is already claimed.
Other players, however, feel as if they have stumbled upon a rough diamond. Whether Wild Terra 2: New Lands is for you or not, it’s best to decide for yourself. There probably won’t be a better opportunity than now.
