The developers of Path of Exile have announced their upcoming season with a new teaser, which takes players underwater.
What is this announcement about? While everyone is actually waiting for the big full release of Path of Exile 2, the developers of Path of Exile released a new teaser on Sunday – for Part 1. Under the title Curse of the Allflame
(in German: Der Fluch der Allflamme
), players are likely to continue underwater.
As always, the teaser leaves much room for speculation, but it shows a fisherman being observed from below the water. Additionally, the well-known Allflame
can already be found underwater in the game as a quest item.
Combined with the name, one can probably say that players can expect underwater levels and curses that will likely be quite prominent in the new season.

New season coming in July
When does it start? As always, after the first teaser of Path of Exile, there will be a livestream that reveals everything necessary about the game to the fans. On July 16, the developers will go live again and show the fans what to expect.
Everyone can start on Friday, July 24, 2026. The new season will begin in the evening.
How do fans react to the teaser? The teaser was so short again that fans could only cope with a meme. They chant Boat League
in the comments on YouTube and Reddit. However, there are also some interesting comments on the latter:
- LeadershipOne5128: “I have long been convinced that the Allflame is part of the puzzle to reach the ‘Winding Pier’ (the secret area that probably unlocks a secret hideout). Perhaps this league will push us in the right direction; it’s time to unravel the mystery of PoE.”
- Smithlarr: “A league that reworks the Torment system?”
- SlurpThePurp: “Uber-Krillson is coming.”
- mandoodiao: “Good. The first time the fight against Krillson was very difficult, but now it has become quite easy.”
Do you already have a theory about what will be introduced in the new season? Feel free to share it in the comments! A system of Path of Exile must have long been on the developers’ to-do list for revision: Players are begging the developers of Path of Exile to revise a system: “It bothers me so much”
