Highlights of the week:
- In two posts on tibia.com, the developers of Tibia presented a new starter experience. New players in the MMORPG classic from Germany can expect a new tutorial and the starting area Newhaven. Many small innovations are intended to ease the entry for players to attract more newcomers to the servers in the future. The release is planned for October 21, 2025.
- The heroic world in World of Warcraft Legion Remix is a resounding success. So much so that many now want it in the main game as well. Also cool: The Legion remake has solved the tank shortage problem.
- On October 13, 2025, the first server-wide event of The Elder Scrolls Online starts with the winding wall. Prepare for multiple phases in which all players in your world must cooperate. You can find details on the corresponding Golden Undertakings on elderscrollsonline.com.
- The new anime MMORPG Blue Protocol: Star Resonance has received poor reviews on Steam . However, fans believe that it is not solely the game’s fault and want to prove that.
- Pax Dei celebrated early access as well as its final launch this week. Player numbers are noticeably increasing, but there is still much criticism regarding the subscription model.
What else has happened? Last week was all about New World. The MMORPG by Amazon Games is celebrating a sort of third spring with the start of Season 10. Among the new or returning players is MeinMMO author Nicole, who is currently having a lot of fun in Aeternum: New World couldn’t keep me at release – now I’ve sunk 45 hours in a week.

This is what happened in the major MMORPGs:
- A hotfix has drastically changed the balance of World of Warcraft Legion Remix . DPS characters, as well as healers, are now faring much better. Additionally, the “frog” situation in Remix has repeated itself. Some are now super strong – the developers have nerfed the farming method as a result.
- Not so nice: For a few days, druids were able to freely showcase their abilities in Legion Remix. Shortly after, Blizzard took that away from them.
- Legion had some of the darkest quests in World of Warcraft. MeinMMO demon Cortyn believes Blizzard should bring them back.
- In World of Warcraft Legion Remix better equipment can determine how much fun you have. We reveal how you can reach item level 740.
- A World of Warcraft without addons will be quite different – and yet remain the same. What will change with Midnight is revealed by the Game Director.
- Speaking of Midnight: No new system in World of Warcraft without a reporting feature. You also have to adhere to rules when it comes to housing.
- The Shadowlands never existed. At least not as we thought. World of Warcraft is changing its story. Meanwhile, parts of the community actually wish for a Shadowlands Remix.
- If a player decides in 2025 to try out the MMORPG genre and to find the perfect online role-playing game among the many representatives… which game will they ultimately end up with?
- All players of New World can look forward to gifts. On one hand, the expansion “Rise of the Angry Earth” is now included in the base game for PC players for free. On the other hand, there are new Twitch Drops.
- The interest in New World is currently higher than it has been for a long time. But what can fans expect after the current Season 10? This week, data miners found new clues about an exciting mode.
- In New World the Halloween event is running. In this guide, we reveal everything about the contents, quests, and rewards surrounding Halloween.
- From October 16 to November 6, several events will take place in Black Desert around the spooky Halloween season. On consoles, the events will take place one week later. This is what happened in the smaller MMORPGs:
- This week there was a unplanned server outage of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. After the issue was resolved, the developers distributed a small gift to the affected players as compensation.

- The developers of Albion Online want to revise the faction war. You can find all plans on albiononline.com. The related update Realm Divided is set to be released on November 24, 2025.

This is what happened in MMORPGs currently in development:
- Greg Street has to reportedly seek new investors for his MMORPG project Ghost. On linkedin.com, the developer explained a few days ago that there would be a plan B, namely a smaller multiplayer version without MMO content, which could be compared to Helldivers or Elden Ring Nightreign.
- With Sword of Justice, a new Wuxia MMORPG for PC and mobile will be released on November 7. In China, the game is already a hit with more than 40 million registered players.
- A new update for BitCraft Online will soon bring carts for collecting resources into the game. Various quality-of-life features are also planned. You can find the patch notes on Steam.
