What is gender locking? Gender locking means that one does not have a choice between the gender of the character one wants to play. There are predefined roles. For example, in Lost Ark, only the female mage can play as a bard, there is no male version.
But where does it come from? And why is there gender locking? There is no definitive answer to this question, as several factors and backgrounds play a role in this system. We explain this in more detail in our video.
