On September 11, 2024, the new update for Lost Ark was released, bringing players both bliss and despair.
What does the update bring? You can expect a new 16-player raid against Behemoth, as well as new quests, some general additions, and many events. The complete patch notes can be found on the following page. Prior to that, MeinMMO summarizes the highlights for you.
Lost Ark received a strong boss that will push players to their limits without proper preparation and transcendence. The crux of the misery is that you will receive the necessary materials from Behemoth to master weapon transcendence.
By defeating Behemoth, you will unlock weapon transcendence that will enhance you significantly. However, this does not deter players. Many are excited to take on the new challenge.

What do I need to know about the Behemoth raid? The dragon is supposed to be manageable at item level 1,620, as the raid has been slightly simplified compared to the Korean version. Nevertheless, Behemoth is a tough nut that should not be underestimated. After the first day, some have already dared to face the new raid.
- H3PPYx wrote (via Reddit): “The thing is, many 1,620 players rush into Behemoth without doing transcendence, it is also possible without, but it is difficult.”
- Puddinginging says (via Reddit): “We did it on day one, but it seems very difficult below 1,630 at the moment.”
- Kuki1537 says (via Reddit): “With the right 1,620 gear and full elixirs / transcendence / good gems, as well as some rounds of experience, it should work. However, most who attempt do not meet these requirements. I am not saying that the raid wouldn’t benefit from being easier, but it’s not that it’s impossible at item level. People just forget that you really should pump at minimal item level to succeed. Which is kind of hard when you are not used to the boss yet.”
What’s coming with the update
What else does the September update include? Aside from the heavy raid boss and weapon transcendence, you can expect some enjoyable events where you can rack up many rewards. Mokoko fans, take note: The “Blooming Mokoko” event is back and brings you more Bound Gold than ever before.
What’s next for Lost Ark? On October 9, 2024, the new endgame class 4 will be released with many innovations, such as the fortress Kenuart, the continent North-Kurzan, and the new hack-and-slash content Kurzan-Frontline.
