The Twitch streamer ExtraEmily has previously attracted attention for reckless driving. Now she is an ambassador for the platform.
Who is it about? The streamer ExtraEmily has over 1 million followers on Twitch and primarily streams in the Just Chatting category (source: SullyGnome). She is especially known for repeatedly attracting attention with her driving behavior. She takes her streams in her car and regularly films herself ignoring traffic rules.
For example, she ran a red light in 2025. The streamer commented on the incident by saying that she would do it all the time and that it was normal.
In July 2026, the streamer made headlines again when she didn’t check her blind spot while merging into traffic. She just drove and narrowly missed another car. Twitch took action, but essentially, they only gave her a free day with the ban.
Looking at the clips of ExtraEmily and her driving behavior, it quickly becomes clear that the now 28-year-old is often distracted by the stream. She interacts with the viewers and occasionally checks her phone, which takes her focus away from driving.
ExtraEmily as the new Twitch ambassador: Twitch announced on X that ExtraEmily is one of the new Twitch ambassadors. Twitch is highlighting ExtraEmily and other streamers with this action.
The mood under this X post is clear: Many voices criticize Twitch’s choice. ExtraEmily’s behavior indeed violates the Twitch guidelines. While streaming while driving is allowed, it is only permissible if it does not lead to distractions and creates a danger. Thus, reading chat messages or fiddling with the streaming device while driving is prohibited.
Twitch’s action of appointing ExtraEmily as an ambassador for the platform, despite her repeated violations of their own guidelines in the past, therefore seems incomprehensible to many under the X post.
